Photo sort on Iphone

My photo events in Itunes are in alpha order. When I sync to Ipad they appear in the exact same order but on my 3Gs they are in some random order that I can't make out. How do I get them to appear in alpha order like on Itunes and Ipad? I've tried everything but no luck.
Thanks
Mark

  • Photo Sort in iPhone/iPad albums?

Hi, I'm about to lose my mind... how do I get my photo's to come up as newest first, in all of my albums?  One would think that there should be a "sort" button on either device, right?  I'm running Windows 7, on my pc and own a iphone 5s and ipad mini.
    Thanks.

  • Can photos in iPhoto be sorted on iPhone 4S

Prior to IOS5 if I had my photos sorted by name in iPhoto on my MAC they would then be in the same order on my iPhone. Ever since that update I have not been able to figure out the order they sort in. Isn't by name & isn't in date order either.  Is there anyway to get the photos to sort without having to do a whole lot of work on my iPhoto library?

Reenable the password and then disable it. The message should no longer appear.

  • Photo Sorting on iPad and iPhone all screwed up - HELP

I don't know when exactly this happened - but in one of the recent updates in the last two months of either iTunes, iPhoto, or iOS something was changed in the photo sorting algorithms. iPhoto does not seem to dictate the sort order any more?
I have a smart album in iphoto that is called "our best pics" and that automatically takes the top ranked pictures and sorts them by date. That used to be perfectly mirrored on the iPad and iPhones in our household. Since a few weeks, this does not work anymore. The order of the pictures in the album are now very random, but identical on all iOS devices. I tried deleting the pictures and re-syncing, but nothing changes. Anyone have any ideas?
    Many thanks Klaus

Spare yourself the pain. Use 3rd apps to sort you photos.

  • Why are my photos sorted alphabetical in iPhoto (which is what I want)  but in date order on my iPhone & iPad?

Why are my photos sorted alphabetical in iPhoto (which is what I want)  but in date order on my iPhone & iPad?

One for the iPad or iPhone forums I would guess. There is no iPhoto for iOS

  • How do I simply get a photo off my iPhone 5 to my PC?

Jeez, you might think this would be intuitive or straight forward but I can find no way to take a photo from my iPhone 5 and transfer it to my Dell PC.  Do I need a sticking App for that simple, simple task or am I just an idiot?  Trying to make a Christmas Card for each member of my family, as is TRADITION for me, and I CANNOT get the picture off my phone!!!!! Merry Christmas Apple Folks.......

  • IPad2 iOS5 random photo sorting bug?

After upgrading my iPad2 to iOS5, the photo sorting in albums appears to be totally randomized which makes it pretty much unusable. Is this a bug? Before the upgrade, it used to be sorted by the time the photo was taken and this was at least better than apparent random sorting. Reverting to the previous sort method would be a good fix. Better would be to have a simple way to control the sort order.

I have lion and all of the latest updates, moved from mobile me to i cloud but my "albulms" on the i pod, i phone and i pad won't stay in the same order that they are in i photo or i tunes. The genius bar at the store went through everything and said that it's an update problem that will have to fix it. I hope they get to work quickly. 2 years ago I was promised by a senior tech that the album sorting problem would be fixed in i photo (about 20% of my albums won't stay sorted by title no matter what I do and about 80% will) and that has never been fixed.
I pray that they read these forums and realize their problems that need to be fixed because it's impossible to go to a saved item on my iphone or ipad without any order to the sorting.

  • I can't get photos sorted in order, please help

    Hi,
As the title says when I sync my photos to my iphone (and ipad) they are not in the same order as on my Mac. I've done a bit of research and I've found out that the iDevices sort photos by date rather than by name if you sync from a folder. However, I've also seen that the iDevices should mirror the way they appear in iphoto if you sync from this. Well I created all new folders in iphoto on my mac and synced with that but the photos are still out of order. Is there any way I can get them in order?
    Cheers.

Try removing the Adobe DLM from your extensions in firefox. It will ask you to restart firefox. After restarting the pdf files should show in your browser as usual. This worked for me.

  • Ios6 photo sort order

Since upgrading to ios6, all my new photos/events are added to the BOTTOM of the list.  This is ridiculous- it takes ten minutes of scrolling to get to them.
I have the sort set up the way I want it in iphoto- but it does not carry over.
    Am I missing something?
Is there any way to control in what order photos are displayed on my phone??

Yes it is frustrating me also that the photos on my iPhone 4S are no longer sorted in the same order as they are sorted in iPhoto, as used to be the case.  I sort by title in iPhoto yet the iPhone now displays the most recently modified last instead.

  • Photo Sort Order in iOS6

Is anyone seeing a change in sort order in Photos in iOS6?   Previously I had a manual sort in iPhoto with my most recent events at the top.   In iOS the most recent events would also be at the top of the Events list.
In iOS6, I'm seeing new events thrown to the bottom of the list.  With a long list this gets pretty frustrating.   I tried having iPhoto to a date-based sort but the new Events are still at the bottom.  I tried a new manual sort and still it keeps it with the most recent Events at the bottom of the list.

  • How do I view my pics on photos on my iPhone 5s by title, not by date created?

How do I view my pics on photos on my iphone by title and not by date created?
When I uploaded my pics from "Events" in iphoto it all transfered to my iphone. The folders are in order (sorted by numbers), but the content of the folders are arranged by date created, not by title.  How do I fix this?
    Anyone knows?  Thanks much.

    You still can (kind of).
If you open the Photos app and you are in Albums, tap Photos. In Photos, pictures are auto-grouped as Events based on location and date. If you see the location listed, that is tappable. Tap it, and that reveals the map where the photos were taken.
The one thing I don't know is how to see all photos by location. Because the most you can zoom out by time is Years, which means you can only see all photos taken by location within a single year, but not all years. I hope there's a way that I just haven't learned yet.

  • Photo sorting and sync

I have iphoto album on Mac OSx operating system, and current IOS 5.1.1 I Pad with Iphoto intalled. Still when I sync the Mac OSX album to the iPad, the photo sort and caption does not sync to Ipad. Instead the album is installed on  ipad  only by date and time photo was taken.  How do I get the correct sorting (and the captions) to translate on IPAD album?

  • I can't belive that I can not sync my photos from my Iphone to my computer

why does itunes not let you sync both ways from your camera roll to your computer or from your photo albums to your computer. you mean the only way to get a photo off my Iphone is to e-mail it?

I definitely agree that there should be some sort of option to synchronize your Camera Roll photos through iTunes. This, for one, would eliminate the issue of losing your photos when being forced to restore your iPhone, see my post below:

  • Import photos from my iphone to iphoto on my mac

I am having a problem importing photos from my iphone 5S to iphoto on my MacBook. It has been preparing to import for hours.

HHi, thank you for the reply. I have checked my iPad and iPhone and neither has iCloud Photo Library (Beta) enabled. Turned off in both. Photostream is turned on.
i tried to sort it out  by dragging all the photos to Events on the Mac and then deleting them from iCloud - (left hand side of iPhoto under the section 'Shared'). the photos now show up in Events. I did force quit but the issue remains. The message reads ' photos are bing imported to the library. Please wait for import to complete.'
i can't empty iPhoto trash either. The message read "Delete error. Please wait for import to complete.'
WHen I was moving the photos to the Events I always had a message about duplicates - to the effect that the photos already existed, did I want to import them? I clicked on Yes, import all duplicates. But when it showed the images - duplicates side by side - one showed the photo and the other was blank.
I really don't know what to do! And I don't know how to handle my iOS devices. Is it to do with the large number of photos? Any help, advice appreciated.

  • HT4890 download photo from my iphone

How do I download my photos from my Iphone to my PC?

MattCa, just to take this further: there seems to be no rational way to move photos off an iphone to a PC using Apple software.  H ell, you can't even SEE the photos on a phone from iTunes, IME.
(iTunes?  Not iPhotos? iVideos?  iMovies?  iSMSMessages? iSpoken-Word-Podcasts?  There really IS more in this world than bleedin' 'Songs'.  Grr.)
I've done what you suggest - I do it frequently - using Windows Live Photo Galley, the best photo management program not on the market, IMO. I've downloaded them, edited them, deleted some, and generally played around.
But how do I now backup and preserve the original photo data? How do I do it again, for posterity?
And what is a graceful way to delete photos from an iphone?
Yes, there's Ardwych's Iphone as a device, and Internal Storage, DCIM below that, then randomly-named folders beneath that.  My file manager, Total Commander, can't see any data other than the filenames of jpgs and movs.  Windows Explorer can see more, like dates created and modified.
However, Windows 7's Backup and Restore can't see the iphone device, nor can my Paragon Backup and Recovery program.
I could use Windows Explorer and copy one of the Computer Ardwych\AW’s iPhone\Internal Storage\DCIM\823WGTMA-type folders to a scratch space and back that up.
I notice that to find the oldest files - those I'd backup and remove first - I can't sort by Date Created: Windows can't understand the data, mixing up file types and dates.  Instead, Date Modified has to be the sort criterion.  I have to inspect all folders to find where the oldest files are lying.  I hope the dates don't overlap folders...
Then I'd like to know if I can just delete one of those random folders.  H ell, I'd like to know if I could put one back - just to know..
This seems to me to be a highly convoluted way to safeguard and make friendly Steve Jobs's personal appliance.
    Is there some way simple?
