Photo stream account questions

good day all!
hoping to get some advice as i searched the web and cant find it.
both questions pertain to photo stream
1. if i am using a 'shared photo stream' is there a setting that will allow me to automatically upload every photo i take on my iphone 4s to the shared photo stream. if such what is the method.
2. is it possible to have more than one photo stream account on the same computer. i know i downloaded icloud on my computer but it didnt tell me if it was possible to have more than one photo stream account. i noticed i could sign out of icloud and assume sign in with a different account but how would it seperate both and what would happen to the first photo stream account when i logged off the computer.
thanks for answering!

Make sure you are using the correct Apple ID user name and password.
On your MBAir, open System Preferences > iCloud. Deselect the box next to Photo Stream then reselect the box then restart your Mac.
On your iOS devices tap Settings > iCloud. Switch Photo Stream off then back on, then reset.
Hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home button down at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

  • Can I have more than one photo stream account?

I currently have a Photo Stream account using my old email address. Before I delete this account, is it possible to have two accounts, one using my old email address, one using my new email address?
    Thanks in advance!

It won't add them to the same group, it will create another group and you will be able to choose to view by a specific calendar(s) or all calendars. If you display all (or more than one) of your calendars (as I do in the image below), events are denoted by different colours.

i cannot get my apple tv to recognize my photo stream

Photostream is purely a conduit for syncing photos between your Macs and iOS devices: there is no provision to view the photos online and it's not intended for sharing with other people.
To share photos with your friends you will have to find an alternative service: this page examines some options -

  • Photo Stream; Different Accounts for iPhoto and Aperture

Is it possible to setup Photo Stream in Aperture with one Apple ID and iPhoto with another Apple ID? So that I can get photos from two different accounts, without having to simply turn Photo Stream on and off inside Aperture? Or is the Photo Stream account a global function inside OS X?
I'd rather ask, then test it out and mess up my Photo Stream accounts.

I'm fairly certain that it's an account-wide preference. You could always enable a second user account, turn on Fast User Switching, and only swap to that account to launch iPhoto and do your Photo Stream business.

You need to reset the password for the "old" account, and then use that to turn off iCloud.  Then you will be able to sign in with your new ID.
You can reset your password at iForgot.apple.com.
If you don't know the answers to the security questions, you will need to start there.

-If you established a rescue email address, there will be a link on the "Passwords & Security" page of id.apple.com.  Clicking the link will send the reset to your rescue email address (NOTE:  This is not the same address as your Apple ID email)
-If there is no link on the page, then you didn't establish a rescue email address.  Contact AppleCare at 800.694.7466 (If you are in the US), and ask for account security.  You will need to answer some questions to verify your identity, AND you will need access to a computer to generate a temporary support pin.

  • Photo streaming question

I'm not sure where this question ought to be posted, so I apologize if its the wrong section.
In anycase, I wish to know how to erase a photo on photo streaming.
    Thanks!

To get the photos on another devices you either have to share them or both have to be using the same iCloud account.
What do you think share means?

  • How do i change my icloud account without it deleting all my photos in my photo stream and documents on my phone?

i am trying to change my icloud account so that it is the same as my apple id. ive looked at similar questions people have asked and done what they said but when i got to delete my existing icloud account it tells me that if i proceed i will lose all of my photos in my photo stream and documents on my phone which i obviously dont want to to. i need help!

To change the ID for iCloud you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, then sign back in with the ID you want to use.  Deleting the account only deletes the account and your synced data from your iPad, not from iCloud.  Provided you are signing back into the same account your data will be synced back to your iPad when you sign back in.  If, on the other hand, you are changing to a new account and need to migrate your data to the new account, be sure to choose Keep on My iPad when prompted, then choose Merge when your enable syncing with the new account to upload your data.
If you want to save your photo stream photos, save them to your camera roll before deleting the account (tap Edit, tap all the photos, tap Share, tap Save to Camera Roll).

  • Share Photo Stream and Contacts but backup to different iCloud accounts

I have researched this question a bit and found remotely similar questions but none exactly the same (feel free to point out an answer that answers this already).
Is there a way to use a joint iCloud account between my wife and I (so Photostream and contacts are synced), but have the phones backup (to iCloud) to two different accounts?
At the moment, the "main" iCloud account on both iPhones shares the photostream and contacts - which is great. I've also installed another iCloud account (on each phone, i.e. three iCloud accounts in total) with the calendars shared between each new account and to solve the problem with Siri automatically switching who we are (see https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3411497?start=0&tstart=0 for this problem, which I have fixed). Ideally, I would like each phone to backup to these (new) accounts due to space restrictions, not the shared iCloud account.
Currently, it seems, I can only backup to whichever account the Photostream comes from - is this correct? If not, how do I get around this?
(I consider iTunes as a completely separate entity but FYI, iTunes on both iPhones uses a shared account - one that is completely separate from all the iCloud accounts mentioned above).

To migrate to a new account and keep your data and photos, start by saving any photo stream photos that you want to keep to your camera roll (unless already there) by opening your my photo stream album, tapping Select, tapping the photos, tap the share icon (box with upward facing arrow), then tapping Save to Camera Roll.  If you are syncing notes with iCloud that you want to keep, you'll need to open each of your notes and email them to yourself so you can later copy and paste the text into new notes created in your new account.  Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account (which only deletes it from this device, not from iCloud), provide the password to turn off Find My iDevice and choose Keep on My iDevice when prompted.  Then sign back in with a different Apple ID to create your new account and choose Merge to upload your data.
if you are signing back into the same account, just with a revised ID you should choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted as your data will still be in your account and will download back to your device when you sign back in with the revised ID.  You do still need to save your photo stream photos to your camera roll before deleting the existing account.

  • Can 2 iPhone 5's share an iCloud account for just photo stream?

Can my husband and I share an iCloud account for just sharing photos and iTunes?

I was going to suggest that one of you uses the account for everything, contacts, calendars, photo stream etc, the other uses the same account but just enables photo stream (so you are only sharing photo stream), they then log into another account (their own account) as a secondary account at settings > mail, contacts, calendars and enables everything they want to use (mail, contacts etc-thereby keeping them separate from the first user-secondary accounts don't have photo stream).
As I alluded to before the difficulty is documents, documents are only synced with primary accounts, so one of you could use document syncing or both of you could share your documents or indeed, neither of you could use it.
Not sure if the compromise over documents is acceptable to you.

  • How can I import photos from photo stream to windows photo gallery? These photos are not on the camera roll on my iPad but are from another iPad on the same iCloud account.

I work at a Learning Center that has 12 iPads on the same iTunes and iCloud account.  Each classroom uses an iPad assigned to their room to take photos.  Each of these photos then shows up in the Photo Stream in all 11 of the other iPads.  I have no trouble importing photos that are in the Camera Roll of any individual iPad, but I have not been able to import photos from the Photo Stream if the picture was not taken on the specific iPad I am using.  It is not feasible for me to collect all 12 iPads everyday to import everyones photos, so how can I use one "master" iPad that will let me import photos from the Photo Stream since it has all the photos that everyone has taken?

You downloaded an iCloud backup to your PC?  I assume you mean you downloaded your photo stream to your PC.  What you may not know is that photo stream only keeps your photos for 30 days.  After that, they are deleted from photo stream but not from any device that already has them (such as your phone).  When you enabled photo stream on your PC you only had access to photos from the last 30 days since the others are no longer there, even though they remain on your phone.
To transfer these to your computer at this point you have two options:
Save them to the camera roll on your phone (by opening the my photo stream album, tap Edit, tap all the photos, tap Share, tap Save to Camera Roll.  (You can only import photos to your computer from the Camera Roll album.)  Then import them to your computer as described here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083; or
Use an app like PhotoSync, which can wirelessly transfer photos from any album between your devices/computers, including the my photo stream album.
In the future, always import your photos from your camera roll to your computer via USB before deleting them.  Don't rely on photo stream or your iCloud backup to save your photos.

  • Can I disable photo stream from select devices that are connected to my iTunes account?

Hello,  I was wondering is there any way to do this because I have three iPads connected onto my account, one is in another country and one my parents own, but for my personal one, I would like to disable this feature so my pictures don't get uploaded. My parents like to see the photos being taken by family in another country and I would like those two devices connected only.

You can turn off photo stream on one device without effecting the others.  If you want to keep the photo stream photos on the device you are going to turn it off on, you will need to same them to your camera roll before doing so.  To do this open the my photo stream album, tapping Select, tapping the photos, tap the share icon (box with upward facing arrow), then tapping Save to Camera Roll.  Then go to Settings>iCloud>Photos and turn off My Photo Stream.  This will delete the photo stream photos from this device, but not the others (and you already saved copies of these photos to your camera roll so they will still be on your device).
The other two iPads that are signed into your iCloud account with photo stream enabled will still be sharing the same photo stream but you will no longer see it, and your photos will no longer be added to the stream.  They can still share photos with you by adding them to a shared stream and inviting you as a subscriber (as explained here: http://help.apple.com/icloud/#/mmc0cd7e99).

  • How to manage photo stream from 2 iCloud accounts in Aperture 3

For the time being, my wife and I used to share the same iCloud account,
This was very convenient to share the family's calendar, contacts, and photos!
But from iOS 7, the sharing of Apple ID for the family looks compromised, iMessage and FaceTime are using common IDs on all devices connected with the same account...
I'm now considering creating an account for each of us and could find a solution for calendar, contacts, BUT not for photos!
Any idea to get Aperture accepting the photo stream coming from 2 Apple IDs?

Any idea to get Aperture accepting the photo stream coming from 2 Apple IDs?
IOS 7 supports writing of persons with different AppleIDs to the same  shared photo stream.
And I expect that iPhoto and Aperture will soon support this too.
From the IOS ipad user guide: http://manuals.info.apple.com/MANUALS/1000/MA1595/en_US/ipad_user_guide.pdf
Share streams of photos and videos with people you choose. Friends you’ve chosen who have an iCloud account—and iOS 6 or later or OS X Mountain Lion or later—can join your stream, view the photos you add, and leave comments. If they have iOS 7, they can add their own photos and videos to the stream. You can also publish your stream to a website for anyone to view.

  • I have two different iCloud accounts. I can't sign into photo stream with my personal account and have tried deleting from my iPhone first, then the MacBook Pro. Still won't let me sign in with the personal account. Please help.

I have two different iCloud accounts - business and personal. I can't sign into Photo Stream with my personal account because it says my business account is my primary account. They are separate but equal accounts. I have tried deleting the iCloud account from my iPhone, then my MacBook Pro and signing in again on both devices. The iPhone says that my primary account ismy personal account (which is good) but my MacBook Pro still will not sign into that account so I can use Photo Stream.
Any suggestions? This iCloud stuff is getting annoying.

you have a ps cs4 license for mac and you have some way of finding your serial number.
if yes, download an install the installation file.  if you already have the installation file, what is its name and file extension?  (eg, if it's one file, it should be a dmg file.)

  • Need more than one iCloud account that can use Bookmarks, Photo Stream, etc.

Unless someone has found a way I can't create a second iCloud on Lion that can use Booksmarks, Photostream, Reminders and Notes. You can do this on iOS 5 so why not Lion? Seems to me to either be an oversight or bad design and I hope it's just an oversight.
Now you ask why would you want to do this. Easy, to have all of your iOS devices and your family computers able to use the same Photo Stream. That way everyone in the family photos will be synced up and protected on multiple computers plus being shared.
As I said the iOS devices can do this not just not Lion.
So someone please tell me I'm wrong and show me how or Apple please add this to Lion ASAP.

No, you can only connect to one iCloud account.

  • Can you have 2 iCloud accounts on one device, i would like to share photo stream with my wife but not calendar, contacts

How do you setup 2 icloud accounts on one phone.  I would like to do that to separate contacts/calendars from photo stream.  I have a shared photo library that i would like to be able to access from each phone.  How do you do it?
    Thanks.

I don't think there is a method cause when you have 2 iCloud account you double the memory given by them (5gb) and if you want more memory you have to pay so I don't think apple might have a loop in that :p bu if you want to share pics then you can always use luthoot enabled apps
