Photo stream/Camera issues on iPhone 6, iOS 8.3?

I have an iPhone 6 on iOS 8.3 and there were lots of previously taken photos without locations and I wanted to add them in. So, I connected my phone to my MacBook Air and imported my phone pictures into an album on my Mac. I individually added the locations of all of my phone pictures. Afterwards, I deleted the pictures on my phone and went to iTunes to sync the album with my updated phone pictures on to my phone. I expected them to go to the camera roll, but there was an undeletable folder labeled "from my Mac" instead. I had no option but to manually save each picture by pressing "Duplicate to edit" and then pressing cancel. After I did this, I realized that there were lots of repeats in my photo stream- usually 2 or 3 of the same picture. I went through and deleted some of the extras, only to realize my camera roll was shrinking with it. Could anyone please help me with a) syncing pictures from Mac directly to camera roll, b) removing duplicated pictures in photo stream without deleting them from the camera roll? Thanks.

Use a different device or a computer to read the PDF. There is no way to run both on a single device.
Cheers,

Cant get Camera Roll or Photo Stream images off my iphone 4.  Ive got everything turned on to support the icloud function and my itunes shows syncing, but nothing. Any ideas what Im missing?  Thanks A Million!

You can delete them from your phone by opening the album that contains them, tap Edit, tap the photos you want to delete, the tap Delete.  You can also import camera roll photos to your computer and delete them after importing as explained in this article: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083.

  • HT201077 How do I delete some photos from my photo stream only on my iPhone?

How do I delete some photos from my photo stream only on my iPhone? I do not want the photos that haved been placed on my MAC and Ipad deleted, just my phone. I also want the videos off my phone.

If you delete them from photo stream they will also be deleted on your other devices.  To keep them on your iPad, save them to the camera roll (open your my photo stream album, tap Edit, tap the photos, tap Save to Camera Roll).  To keep them on you Mac, go to iPhoto>Preferences>Photo Stream and check Automatic Import.  You can confirm that they are saved in your iPhoto library by clicking on Photo Stream on the left sidebar of iPhoto, open your My photo Stream album, then control-click on your photos.  If the pop-up says "Show in Library" they are safely stored in your iPhoto library. Then you can delete them from your phone and they will remain on your other devices.
To import videos, see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083.  If you only want to delete them go ahead.  Photo stream doesn't sync videos so this will have not impact on your other devices.

  • Photo stream in Mac and iPhone not in sync

    Hi,
I have two iPhones, one iPad 2, and a MBP wilh Lion.  Yesterday I noticed that my two iPhones were showing different counts for photos in photo stream: 1000 vs 525.  I turned photo stream off in all of my iOS devices and deleted all photos from the iPhone.  Now, the two iPhones show the same 207 pictures but my Mac shows 405.   I do not know how to get the count form the iPad but I think that is the same number as in the iPhones: 207.  What is going on?
    Thanks

Well, after banging my head on this for a few weeks, I looked at my logs.
PhotoStreamAgent was crashing over and over again.
Looked araound a bit, found nothing.
So, I removed all the PhotoStream related files from ~/Library/Prefereces/com.apple.iLifePhotoStream.*
Please do this at your own risk.  It worked fine for me. I looked at the files before running this and saw nothing I couldn't live without.   Figured, worst case I wiped out iCloud settings, and set them up again (which I've already done anyway trying to resovle this).
Open up a terminal (you should probably stop here if you don't know how to do that, but it's in Applications > Utilities)
    cd Library/Preferences
    ls com.apple.iLifePhotoStream.*
The last line will show you the files we're about to delete.  You can stop now if you see something important.
    Lastly:
    rm com.apple.iLifePhotoStream.*
Go turn on Photo Stream in System Preferences and try again in Aperture.  Worked first try for me after nothing else had.

  • Why do my photo stream not sync between iPhone 4S & iPad?  Some pics do but not all

Why does the photo stream not sync between iPhone 4S & iPad?  Some pics do, some don't.

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
        1.    Photostream only syncs photos over Wi-Fi, make sure you are connected to Wi-Fi to begin with.
        2.    Photostream only syncs when the camera app is closed, ensure it is closed.
        3.    Photostream only syncs when the battery is above 20%, try recharging the device
Try disabling photo stream on your device (settings > iCloud), restarting your device and then re-enabling photo stream.
Note: disabling photostream and re-enabling it will result in any photos that are currently in the photostream album on your device, that are older than 30 days old, not being added back.

  • What's the difference between "photo stream", 'camera roll' and 'photos' ?

I can't download the new update because I don't have enough storage. I bought more storage but my camera roll is 6.2 GB. Photo stream is 323 MB. Can someone please explain the difference between photo stream, camera roll, and photos. Thanks.

    Photo Stream is a feature of iCloud;
    http://www.apple.com/icloud/features/photo-stream.html
The Camera Roll is an album on the iPad with any photos that you transfer from a camera or memory card using the Camera Connection Kit to the iPad or any screen shots that you take with the iPad or any photos that you take with the cameras on an iPad 2, as opposed to any albums that you have synced to the iPad from your computer using the iTunes app. The Camera Roll comes and goes as needed. If you have no photos that would go into the Camera Rol, it disappears, and returns when it is needed.
    iPhoto is an Apple photo app for the Mac computer. It is part of the iLife suite of Mac apps;

  • IOS 8 Camera Issues on iPhone 5s

I updated my iPhone 5s today (9/18) and now when I go to take a picture, the top bar in the camera is upside down (facing the top of the phone). When I rotate the phone 180 degrees, it goes to how it should be. I didn't have this issue before the update. I even updated my 5th gen iPod touch last night and I'm not having this issue. This is annoying and inconvenient. I've restarted my phone and that didn't help. I would like to not have to restore my phone if possible.

    iPhone upside down:

Same issue.   iPhone 5s, verizon.  Tried rotating and it won't work.  Pictures are taken upside down and appear in "recently added" photos upside down.

  • Relationship between photo stream/camera roll/photo library and iPad/iPhone

Tying myself in knots trying to fathom all this and with iPhoto added to the mix.
I just seem to have photos all over the place with seemingly many duplications.
Would love to know the system a well-organised person has to keep all this sorted.
The most confusing thing is that the photo stream on my iPhone is different to the photo stream on my iPad and I had understood that this shouldn't be the case.
(would also have been glad to have known that having written this message once' it would be deleted when I added new products to the list at the bottom)

iCloud is a very simple and easy to use system.
PhotoStream being one of the features as you know.
On both iDevices, ensure that both are logged into the same iCloud account within Settings App.  Make sure PhotoStream is ON.
That literally is all there is too it to get images syncing between devices.
On your MacBook, you can also stream photos to computer - again, open the iCloud App in Sys Prefs, login with same AppleID.
You can also manually upload images to the PhotoStream (from Mac) - are you doing this also? Maybe getting confused here?

  • Shared photo stream quality issue

Shared photo stream FAQ states that:
"Shared Photo Streams supports JPEG, TIFF, PNG, and most RAW photo formats. On your Mac or PC, your photos are downloaded and stored in full resolution. On your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Apple TV, your Photo Stream photos are delivered in a device-optimized resolution that speeds downloads and saves storage space. While actual dimensions will vary, an optimized version of a photo taken by a standard point-and-shoot camera will have a 2048 x 1536 pixel resolution when pushed to your devices. Panoramic photos can be up to 5400 pixels wide."
Since I'm a little OCD about photo organization, I collect and organize all the photos my girlfriend and I take. She shares all of her picture from her iPhone 5s on a shared photo stream and I import them to iPhoto on my MBP. However, I have just realized to my great surprise that all her picture were downgraded in 2048 x 1536, even though I have downloaded them to my Mac. Anyone has the same issue or has any idea what is going on? The FAQ clearly said that they would be downloaded in full definition, but they aren't, which is really annoying as we often do large books for which the higher resolution is necessary, not to mention my retina display screen and 4K monitor.
    the FAQ

You should double check your and your daughter's icloud ID as currently set, because what you describe happens when two people share the same icloud account  (and I assume you are talking about a "photo stream" and not a "shared photo stream").
Settings>icloud, be sure the accounts are different.

  • Photo stream, camera roll not syncing

Pictures I'm taking in my camera roll aren't showing in the photo stream on my phone in a very timely manner.  I have iCloud set up properly in both my MBP and iPhone, and I'd like to get a photo to my Photo Stream so I can use it on my MBP.

    Hello Meridarida,
The following troubleshooting steps can help get your Photo Stream working.
From the Home screen, tap Settings > Wi-Fi. Make sure that Wi-Fi is turned on and your device is connected to a wireless network. If necessary, troubleshoot your Internet connection on your iOS device.
From your Home screen, tap Settings > iCloud > Photos (Photo Stream on a device using iOS 6) and make sure that My Photo Stream is turned on.
Ensure that the Camera app is closed on the device that took the photo. Photos will not upload from an iOS device to My Photo Stream until the Camera app is closed.
Ensure that your iOS device has not fallen below 20% battery power. To preserve battery life, Photo Stream downloading and uploading are disabled when the battery reaches this threshold. Downloading and uploading will resume once you charge your device and the battery charge is greater than 20%.

  • WiFi issues with iPhone 4S & ios 6 update

    Okay here is my issue...
I've been reading alot of issues that people have with connecting to WiFi with their new iPhone 5, iPhone 4S or other devices but I have no trouble connecting to WiFi at all. My problem is that WiFi wont 'work'. The WiFi I'm hooked up to at home doesn't let me do basically anything that requires internet.
I can get on the Facebook app fine and my newsfeed loads but I can't see Facebook notifications, upload photos or videos, read inboxes, look at photos, its very slow etc.
I can't get into the App Store or iTunes at all. It says it 'Cannot Connect to iTunes Store' when I try.
I can't upload photos onto Instagram
Currently I'm into the Simpsons Tapped Out game and I can't go onto it at all.
And there are a few other minor issues I am having.
All these things I can do with my Telstra 3G network however and it ***** because I want to use and do all these things but I have to use my 3G and I've just recently gone over my data monthly usage and been charged extra which I'm not happy about.
So is anyone else having these issues or is it just me and I'm stuffed? I'd REALLY love some help.
I've been lost with what to do because as some are having WiFi issues as well, mine isnt the same and it's hard to find answers or just other discussions.
    Please Help!
    Thankyou.

I am having the same issue since updating to iOS 6.  It has been noticeable on my iPhone 4S and a little less noticeable on my iPad 3 but I think it is happening on the iPad too.  Very annoying problem.  One way to get it to work better is to re-boot your phone.  It will work for awhile then and then eventually not be working anymore and you will need to re-boot again.
Just to be clear with everyone - the iPhone looks like it is connected to the wireless, it gets an IP address but can't transmit any data.  Device:  iPhone 4S, OS:  iOS6

  • How do I control photo streaming from my iMac to my IOS devices?

I have an iPhone 4, iPad 2, and iMac running latest versions of Lion and iPhoto.  I had photo streaming in the on position for each machine, and recently I downloaded over 1500 high res Nikon photo's from a vacation into iPhoto on the Mac.  I wasn't really thinking about the background activity with iCloud, but later I found that my memory was used up on the iPad.  When checking further, I found that all the vacation photo's loaded to iPhoto had photo streamed to the iCloud and been copied onto my iPhone and iPad.  Okay like duhh.....this is how it works, I get it now, very cool, now I have no memory left.  To make matters worse, there was no easy way to delete pictures from the photo stream on the IOS devices.....you have to individually check each pic to delete.  Lesson learned...I turned off the photo streaming from my iMac.
But, the way I really would like to use this is to have all photo's and/or video's taken with my iPhone or iPad to be streamed into the iCloud and copied automatically to my iMac.....but I don't want the opposite to happen....ie, when I download pics from my Nikon onto my iMac into iPhoto, I don't want those to stream to the IOS devices.  Basically my iMac is the major long term storage device (with backup hard drive)...I view my IOS devices as just short term storage devices, and if something needs to be saved it should up load to my iMac.
Is it possible to set up the devices this way with iCloud, ie, one way photo streaming?
    thanks ahead!

iPhoto > iPhoto Preferences > PhotoStream, turn off automatic uploads.

  • I have two Photo Stream icons on my iPhone. How do I delete one of them?

I have two Photo Stream icons under Photos on my iPhone 4. One is active (receiving photos taken within minutes) and the other one has not been updated for atleast 2 weeks. I would like to remove the one that isn't receiving any new photos. Help.
    Best,
    D

As stedman said, if you mean the original, built-in Camera app from Apple, that cannot be deleted.  You'll need to simply 'hide' the app in another folder, or perhaps turn on Restrictions and disable access to the Camera App, which may or may not interfere with the 'new' Camera App you have.

  • How do I delete a 2 photo stream folder from my Iphone 4 device

I followe the instructions on resetting my photo stream. It deleted all the pics from one Photo Stream Folder but not the other. I dont even know how I got 2 photo stream folders. Can someone tell me how to get rid of the pics in the second folder and or how to completely delete the 2nd photo stream folder.  Please help.... Thanks all...

    Depends on which photos.
Camera Roll pics ( taken with the iphone) can be deleted one at a time from the iphone, or when you import them to your computer as with any digital camera.
Pics synced to your iphone from your computer are deleted the sam way - the sync process.  Open itunes, select what you want on your iphone, sync.
