Photo stream: "don't stream" pics?

Is there a way to still have photo stream enabled but sequester a group of photos from being streamed?  specifically, my victorias secret iPhone wallpapers   It's awkward having them show up on my work computer when i open iphoto...

No. Photo Stream automatically syncs the last 1000 photos, whatever they are. There is no selective syncing.

  • Photo stream pics lost after ios8 upgrade

Afather upgrading to IOS 8 I lost all my photo stream pics. I checked on the cloud where I was advised they would be and they aren't there. Also, keep getting "uploading 1 photo" and screen shot doesn't work anymore.

Have a look at this support document:   My Photo Stream FAQ - Apple Support  http://support.apple.com/HT201317
    It says:
How many photos are stored in My Photo Stream on my devices and computers?
iCloud pushes all your photos to the Recently Added album or My Photo Stream album on your devices and computers, and manages them efficiently, so you don’t run out of storage space.
Your iOS devices keep a rolling collection of your last 1000 photos in the Photos tab (or My Photo Stream album in iOS 7). From there, you can browse your recent photos or move the ones you like to another album to keep them on your device forever.
The photos will stay, if you import them to albums.
However, I could have sworn that they were all in albums in my iPhoto that were imported.
Are you talking about iPhoto on your iPhone/iPad or iPhoto on your Mac? YourMac will keep photos, that have been imported to events.
Your if albums in iPhoto iOS should have been migrated to photos. Did you migrate your iOS iPhoto Library?

  • Lately I've been importing photos from my iPhone and when I attempt to edit them they seem to disappear.  Some reappper as a photo stream pic (some as the edited version and some not).  But they no longer appear as a recent import.  Lots more happens

Lately I've been importing photos from my iPhone to iPhoto and when I attempt to edit them they seem to disappear.  Some reappper as a photo stream pic (some as the edited version and some not).  But they no longer appear as a recent import.  Lots more happens and I'm wondering if it's because I have a 5-year old Mac book or iPhoto is having issues.  I'm not happy with disappearing photos especially after I've deleted them from my iphone after importing them to my macbook.
Has anyone experienced similar difficulties and what can I do?

Remember: we cannot see your machine. There are 9 different versions of iPhoto and they run on 8 different versions of the Operating System. The tricks and tips for dealing with issues vary depending on the version of iPhoto and the version of the OS.  So to get help you need to give as much information as you can. Basic things like :
    - What version of iPhoto.
    - What version of the Operating System.
    - Details. As full a description of the problem as you can. For instance: 'iPhoto won't export' is best explained by describing how you are trying to export, and so on.
    - History: Is this going on long? Has anything been installed or deleted?
    - Are there error messages?
    - What steps have you tried already to solve the issue.
    - Anything unusual about your set up? Or how you use iPhoto?
Anything else you can think of that might help someone understand the problem you have.

  • Get rid of iCloud and save photo stream pics

Every time I sync my iPhone to computer, it re-saves all my pics to phone - I now have them double & triple saved - 4200!  I can't delete pics from phone. Photo stream is on but don't need it.  If I plug in to sync again, I'll then have hudreds more pics.  Help!

You can disable iCloud on your device, or in iTunes by deselecting "Sync this device via iCloud" or the other option of using your computer.  You unfortunately can not roll back iOS 5 to earlier iOS versions (4.3.3 for example).

Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPad?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after the iPad shuts down, then press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds). Ignore the "Slide to power off".

  • My photo stream pics not showing in my PC

Unable to transfer my iphone or ipad pics to my PC photo stream????. is blank?

Your photos are still on your phone.  With iOS 8 there is no My Photo Stream or Camera Roll any more.  The MPS has been replaced with the Recent Activity album.
The CR is replaced by the Collections mode.  The closest we can get to the Camera Roll is to turn off the Summarize Photos feature in the Settings/Photos & Camera pane and view the photos in the Collections/Moments window.
The photos will be in chronological order when scrolled up from the bottom of the window.
The Recent Activity album is showing the photos added in the last 30 days going back to 8/20 (today being 9/18).  In iPhoto on a Mac the My Photo Stream is showing more like 31 days, 8/19 to today, 8/20. It must be how the two devices calculate the last 30 days.
WARNING:  If you use iTunes to sync photos between your iPhone or iPad and your Mac do not activate the iCloud Drive. Doing so will kill the capability of using iTunes to sync with your mobile device and disable Documents & Data syncing for your iCloud account on OS X Mavericks and earlier Macs, as well as iOS 7 and earlier devices.

  • Where are my photo stream pics

I have a new account but where have my icloud pics gone?

You can't view your Photo Stream files at iCloud.com.
They are merely "pushed" to your other devices and computers for viewing.

  • Photo stream pics are sideways. But only PEOPLE!

This is weird. Some pics show up in the photostream folder on my PC correctly. Others show up sideways. Of those that are sideways, some can be rotated and some give me an error that it can't be saved.  Which ones can't? The ones that have people in them. I'm not kidding. I just went through 20 photos. If there is a person in the pic it can't be rotated. If there are people in the distance I can rotate. I have a pic of a chimp. That rotated. I have a pic of a goat, that rotated. A pic of a diet coke can rotated. There is some voo doo magic going on here. there is facial recognition at play here. What have I stumbled across here?

Upload to the shared Photo Streams can take a long time. Sometimes hours. Did the photos appear by now in the stream?
Is the iCloud status o.k. ( iCloud Support webpage)?
Did you share from your mac or from a mobile device? And where are you checking the stream? On your Mac? If you are uploading from a mobile device - is the battery fully charged? Uploading to the Photo Stream is the first that will be suspended, if the device needs charging.
have ypu exceeded any limits? Daily hourly upload rates? http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4858

  • HT201317 Photo Stream pics haven't "loaded" yet. Why?

A friend added photos to an album we share on photo stream, but many of the pics keep saying "loading" for two days now. Why haven't they fully loaded yet?

If you enabled photo stream on it at a later point it time, it's probably because photo stream photos only remain in iCloud for 30 days (even though the last 1000 photos will remain on your devices until deleted).  If any photo stream photos were older than 30 days when you enable photo stream on the 2nd computer, it would not have received them as they were no longer in iCloud.

  • TS4425 How can I remove Photo Stream pics from my Apple TV slideshow?

I am a decorator and take photos of furniture, fabrics, etc on my phone daily, but I do not want these photos cycled in the slideshow on my Apple TV.  I have iTunes pulling photos from designated folders on my home computer, but I can't seem to figure out how to remove my iPhone photo stream pictures.  Suggestions?

    Hi lpetershagen,
Here is an article of information on ways to delete photos from Photo Stream:

Alternatively, you can choose different photos for the Apple TV screensaver by following this:

  • HT201317 Photo Stream Pics on Windows PC

Hi..Im new to all this but can someone tell me if the pictures on photo stream on my windows PC stay permenantly or do they get deleted every 30days?

    Hi...
If you delete the photos from Photo Stream on your phone, they will also be removed from your computer. If you simply turn Photo Stream off on your phone then they will not be deleted from the computer.
    Hope this helps.

  • Shared Photo Stream pics not showing in iPhoto

I have an iPhone 4s running iOS6 and my wife has a new Macbook Pro running Mountain Lion and the latest version of iPhoto.
I created a shared photo stream on my iPhone and sent her the invitation to subscribe.  I also added about 6 photos to the photo stream.  On her mac, she accepts the invitation to the shared photo stream.  Now when she opens iPhoto she sees the photo stream itself but there are 0 pictures in it and even when I add more pictures she never sees them.
    Any ideas?  Thanks!

On your device using iOS 6, try quitting and re-opening the Photos app:
    Quit Photos.
From your Home screen, click your Home button twice. Your open applications should appear in a row at the bottom of your screen.
Scroll to find the Photos icon. Press the icon until the icons jiggle.
Tap the red circle in the upper-left corner of the Photos icon. The icon should disappear from the list.
Tap the Home button again to return to normal operations.
    Also check the following:
From your Home screen, tap Settings > iCloud > Photo Stream, and make sure the slider is set to the ON position.
From the Home screen, tap Settings > Wi-Fi, make sure the slider is set to ON, and that your device is connected to a wireless network.
Ensure that Camera app is closed on the device where you took the photo. Photo Stream will not upload photos from an iOS device until the Camera app is closed.
Ensure your iOS device has not fallen below 20% battery power. To preserve battery life, Photo Stream downloading and uploading are disabled when the battery reaches this threshold. Downloading and uploading will resume once you charge your device, and the battery charge is greater than 20%.

  • How can I save my photos from my camera roll, my photo stream on the icloud so that I don't lose my photos if I upgrade phone or just because I need space and I don't want to delete or lose pictures.

Can I save my camera roll pics, my photo stream pics from my iphone 5 into icloud so I don't lose pics if I upgrade phone or because I need space

    No.
iCloud isn't a file storage service.
You can backup your camera roll but you can only restore the entire roll to the device.
Backup your photos to your computer.
