Photo Stream fails to load all photos from iPhone to Aperture (3.3.2)

using Aperture 3.3.2 on macbook pro with mountain lion - photos that do get imported are from other projects (aperture library on imac), and iphone photos don't get imported. Tried several things: turning off and turning on photo sharing from all devices, checking to make sure that no conflicts exist between iphoto, aperture, that shared Aperture libraries are sync'ed.
Also, tried to insert ONE photo from existing Aperture library into photostream. After 4 hours, no synchronization on any mobil device (iphone, ipads). Tried turning off photo stream in iphone and restarting it ..no problem recreating the stream...
Any ideas what to try? I'm stumped.
Thanks in advance

Photostream only uploads the photos taken (or imported to the device) AFTER you enable Photostream.  Photos from prior to Photostream being turned on will not upload.  You could just take screenshots of the older photos to create 'new' images, or transfer your photos to your computer manually.

  • Photo stream won't load all photos in the upload folder

I added the photos I want in the Photo Stream to the upload folder. It trasnfers some (45-50 of 600), but not all. Any advice??????

Do you mean you created a shared photo stream? Did you make sure to select those photos by going to settings - screensaver on your ATV?
Also note, only a small portion of the cache is used for the screensaver (typically will hold around 100 photos)

  • HT201317 Can anyone tell me why my photo stream is not loading all of my pics onto my new iPhone 5c. phone plug into iMac, all settings on phone are for photo stream on. it only sent 100 out of 1000. thanks for any help !

Can anyone tell me why my photo stream is not loading all 1,000 pictures onto my new iphone 5c? i backed up my old phone onto the mac and plugged in my new phone then hit backup. it only gave me 100 pictures????? why?
    thanks for any help!

Because photo stream photos only remain in iCloud for 30 days, allowing enough time for your devices to download them.  Only shared streams keep photos in iCloud indefinitely.  Your other photos are probably older than 30 days and are no longer in iCloud.
Also, photo stream photos aren't included in your backup, only camera roll photos are.  If you want to include photo stream photos that are not already in your camera roll in your backup, you have to save them to the camera roll before backing up.

  • HT201317 Photo stream won't sync all photos that I add to it

I recently downloaded iPhoto to my Mac so that I could easily get all of my pictures from my photo stream onto my computer.
In the default stream I have 558 photos. iPhoto will only sync about 400 of them. So I decided to create a shared photo stream and added all of the images from the main one into that one. However it will not add them to the stream at all.
It initially added them all, but as it syncs the number of photos in that stream keeps going down. It is down to about 200 at the time of writing this and it is still steadily deleting the photos.
Why will my photo stream not sync properly?

That's she way it works. See here: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4486

When do photos upload to My Photo Stream?
When you enable My Photo Stream on your devices, all new photos you take or import to those devices will be automatically added to your photo stream.
iOS devices: New photos you take are automatically uploaded to your photo stream when you leave the Camera app and are connected to Wi-Fi. My Photo Stream does not push photos over cellular connections.
Macs: Any new photos you import to iPhoto or Aperture begin uploading automatically when you have a Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection. Or you can change your iPhoto or Aperture preferences so that only photos you manually add to My Photo Stream are uploaded.
PC with iCloud Control Panel 2.1 or later: Open a Windows Explorer window and under Favorites select iCloud Photos if you are using iCloud Control Panel 3.0 or later (or Photo Stream if you are using 2.1 to 2.1.3). Open My Photo Stream. Click the "Add photos" button. Select the photos to import to My Photo Stream, then click Open.

  • HT201317 Photo stream not working on all photos

Why does the iPhone not always send photos I ve taken to iCloud or to my iPad ? Does iCloud/photo stream really work? Never worked properly for me..... Some do and most of time don t . Both have been in the same room to pick up wifi for over 48 hours and still not all photos sync

PhotoStream will only upload newly taken pictures. All older pictures or pictures that existed before adding/enabling photostream will not be affected/uploaded. Also PhotoStream will not function if the devices battery is under 20% battery. To troubleshoot, open the task manager and exit photos/gallery and then re-open/recheck.

  • HT204053 photo stream is not showing all photos on all devices

I think the tag line says it all.  Any suggestions?

This is usually caused by enabling photo stream on your different devices at different points in time.  Photo stream photos only remain in iCloud for 30 days, though up to 1000 photo stream photos will remain on your devices until deleted.  The result of this is that if you will only receive photos added to photo stream in the last 30 days when you first enable it on a new device, even though your other device(s) may have older photo stream photos on them.
If you want to add these "missing" photo stream photos to your other devices, you can either save them to the camera roll, import them to your computer, then sync them to your other devices; create a shared photo stream that includes these photos and invite yourself to it (see http://help.apple.com/icloud/#mmc0cd7e99);  or us and app like PhotoSync to transfer them to your other devices over wifi.

  • ICloud photo stream does not show all photos

I have 1000 photos is my photo stream, however on my Apple TV I just setup, I can only get 322 to show up in the iCloud Photo Stream. I've tried restoring and setting it up again, but I have the exact same numbers of photos.
Is there a reason I can only see 322 out of 1000 photos in my photo stream on the Apple TV?

I noticed the Apple TV was not displaying my photo stream after the update to 6.0. Here is what I did to get it to start displaying my photo stream again.
On your Apple TV go to Settings>iCloud
    Click on iCloud Photo Settings
Turn off both the My Photo Stream and Photo Sharing options then turn them back on again
Select Photo Stream from the Settings menu and navigate to select the photo stream you want to use
    Preview the slide show
I have about 400 images in the photo stream that I use to display on Apple TV and during the preview it took about two minutes before the images displayed.
Then I tested it in a normal setting where I have slide show starting after two minutes. The TV went to screensaver mode after two minutes and was black for about two minutes before the images appeared. Before the update the images would display shortly after the screensaver kicked on.
    I hope this helps!

You have to reset the device to Factory Settings in order to restore it from an iCloud backup. You probably want to back it up as is before you do this.
To do the reset after you have backed up the current device, go to Settings>Reset>Reset all Content & Settings. This will erase the device. If you are signed onto iCloud with Find My iPhone turned on, go to Settings>iCloud and scroll to the bottom to sign out of iCloud before you do the reset.
Once you have reset your device, you will set it up like a new phone. When it asks if you want to restore it from an iCloud backup, select the backup you want to restore it from.

  • HT4890 I have transferred 127 photo's set in chronological order from my PC to my iPad using Photo Stream but they appear all jumbled up. How do I prevent this happening?

How do I rearrange the photo's in an album on my iPad?

Photo stream is just a sync service and you have no control over the ordering of photos.  But, what you should be doing is moving the photos out of photo stream into a different, permanent album where you can order as you wish.  Remember, if you ever turn off photo stream for whatever reason, the photos in that special album will be deleted.  When you later turn the service back on, you'll only get those photos still in the stream server, which are limited to a max of 1000 and no older then 30 days.

  • Photos 1.0 not showing all images from Photos Library.photoslibrary folder/file after update install

I installed the update that changed my iPhoto to Photos 1.0, and the new Photos program is not showing all images from Photos Library.photoslibrary file/folder (not sure to call it file or folder since it is actually a folder with all my pics but it acts more like a file) after update install.  The Photos Library.photoslibrary file/folder shows to be 55 gb in size, and it shows to be loaded into the photos program, but there are maybe a few weeks of pictures showing instead of a few years.  Lots of pictures in the 55 gb are not showing for some reason.

No - iPhotos has not replaced anything - it is new and an addition - iPhoto is still on your system in the applications folder and still works just fine
Outlook is not supported by Photos - not sure if the support must come form Apple or MS as Photos uses a different interface to external packages than iphoto did

  • HT201077 My Photo Stream is no longer adding photos to my PC.  How do I get my photos from my iPhone 5 to my PC's Photo Stream?

My Photos Stream is no longer adding photos to my PC.  How do I get my photos from my iPhone 5 ios 7.0.4 to my PC's Photo Stream?

    Hi jmy13,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
Try these steps first if the Photo Stream on your PC is not updating:
you can't connect to the Internet, iCloud Photos will not be able to send or receive updates to My Photo Stream. If necessary, troubleshoot your Internet connection on your PC, Mac, or iOS devices.
Open the iCloud Control Panel and make sure that you're signed in to the same iCloud account that you're using on your other supported devices.
In Windows 8.1, go to the Start screen, click the down arrow in the lower-left corner, then click the iCloud app.
In Windows 8, go to the Start screen, and click the iCloud tile.
In Windows 7, choose Start menu > All Programs > iCloud > iCloud.
Make sure that iCloud Photos or Photo Stream is turned on in the iCloud Control Panel. Click the Options button and make sure that My Photo Stream is turned on.
Close and reopen the iCloud Control Panel.
Restart your computer. This may sound simple, but it does reinitialize your network and application settings and can frequently resolve issues.

  • Will deleting pictures from my photo stream on my phone remove them from my iCloud albums?

I am almost out of storage on my phone so I uploaded all of my photos to icloud and deleted them from my camera roll. They are all still in my photo stream though; is that taking up room on my phone? And if I delete them from my photo stream, does that remove them from my iCloud albums as well?

    Hi kellyntherese,
Welcome to the Support Communities!  Did you backup your iPhone to iCloud and or iTunes before deleting the pictures from your camera roll?  Photo Stream is not a storage location.  Do you have a Mac or a PC?

Does using My Photo Stream substitute for using iCloud Backup or iTunes to back up the photos in my Camera Roll ?
No. Photos in My Photo Stream are saved on the iCloud server for 30 days. To save or back up these photos, you must copy them from My Photo Stream to your Camera Roll on your iOS device. You can then back up your Camera Roll using iCloud or iTunes.

You might already have a copy of the photos in My Photo Stream:
In OS X, My Photo Stream photos are automatically imported to your iPhoto or Aperture library, unless My Photo Stream and Automatic Import are turned off in iPhoto or Aperture preferences.
In iPhoto, check your settings by going to iPhoto > Preferences > iCloud.
In Aperture, check your settings by going to Apterture > Preferences > iCloud.
In Windows, My Photo Stream photos are automatically imported when My Photo Stream is turned on in the iCloud Control Panel.

  • After upgrading to Mavericks and iPhoto 9.5 my shared photo streams seem to contain no photos when seen in iPhoto. From iPad the streams are fine. How can I get them to be recognized by iPhoto again?

After upgrading to Mavericks and iPhoto 9.5 my shared photo streams seem to contain no photos when seen in iPhoto. From iPad the streams are fine. How can I get them to be recognized by iPhoto again?

Disable Photo Stream in the System/iCloud preference pane
and in iPhoto's Photo Share preference pane.
Reboot and reenable both respectively. That should jump start Photo Stream.

  • HT201317 iphone not my photos are appearing in the photo stream and it's all enabled what problem?

iphone not my photos are appearing in the photo stream and it's all enabled what problem?

    Welcome to the Apple community.
Try disabling photo stream on your device (settings > iCloud), restarting your device and then re-enabling photo stream.
If this doesn't help you may need to reset photo stream. You can do this at icloud.com by clicking on your name in the top right corner and then the advanced settings in the pop-up dialogue box that appears.

  • HT4910 What do I do if "My Photo Stream" isn't showing all my photos that are showing in my "My Photo Stream" on my Mac? How do I fix this?

What do I do if the 900 something photos that are in My Photo Stream are not showing up on my IPhone in the My Photo Stream.  The photo stream option is on as well yet its not transferring all my photos.. as well as I am connected to Wifi

If you just turned photo stream on, it's likely that the missing 649 photos are older than 30 days and thus are no longer in icloud to stream to your device.
Did you turn photo stream off and back on, or sign out of your iCloud account, then sign back in?
