Photo Stream is not synced on all my devices.

Hi. I was doing some cleaning of my photo stream by deleting some photos, so I noticed that not all pictures are on all my devices. On my Mac, after the cleanup, my photo stream has 786 photos and on my iPhone the photo stream has 633, on the iPad there are only 360 photos and on the AppleTV about 600. The latest photos do appear on all devices, the older ones are the ones that do not appear on all of the devices. Any idea how I could force sync the photos so that they do appear on all my devices? Thanks!
Cesar

(the paragraph on: "I see different photos in My Photo Stream on each of my devices")
I see different photos in My Photo Stream on each of my devices.
Your device will keep up to 1000 photos, even if they are older than 30 days. Photos older than 30 days are removed from the iCloud server, so all devices may not have the same photos, depending on when you enabled My Photo Stream.
If you prefer to have only the most current photos in My Photo Stream on each of your devices, and delete the older photos:
If there are any photos in My Photo Stream that you want to keep, save them to your Camera Roll, then back up your Camera Roll and other data using iCloud or iTunes.
Turn My Photo Stream off in Settings > iCloud > Photos (on a device using iOS 6, go to Settings > iCloud > Photo Stream). Confirm that you wish to Delete Photos.
Turn My Photo Stream back on. iCloud will automatically push your stored photos to your device.
Repeat these steps for each device.

  • My iCloud Photo Stream is not syncing correctly to my Windows 8.1 laptop or my Windows 7 PC.

I have been going through the forums for the last few weeks and nothing has helped.  Both computers are x64 bit.
    Problems I am experiencing
    A. Windows 7 PC has not synced photo stream since September 25
    B. Windows 8.1 laptop has not synced since a little before that.
    C. I can't upload any photos (.jpegs) to the photo stream.  An error pops up saying that they cann't be uploaded as they are not in a format supported by iCloud, even though they are jpegs.
    D. Photos are syncing ti my ipad 3 perfectly fine, so clearly there is a problem with my computers but I am totally stumped.
I have un-installed, deleted all icloud photo stream folders, restarted and then re-installed the iCloud control panel on both computers, and it has created new folders and re-synced maybe 30 photos before it stopped again.
I have uninstalled every single Apple program on my Windows 8.1 laptop and reinstalled iTunes, iCloud and Quicktime and that didn't help.
I have toggled the Photo Stream on/off button in setting on my iphone, and that seemed to kick start the sync on my Windows 7 PC this morning, so far I've got 70 photos on my Windows 7 PC and that's where it has stopped but its a really random selection, and doesn't include the photos I took yesterday or today.
Two of my colleagues at work where my Windows 7 PC is located - their photo streams are working fine, both using ios7 and icloud control panel, however their computers are x32 bit.
I have also simply logged out and signed in again multiple times, however that doesn't do anything.
I have unticked the "read-Only" permissions on my photo icloud stream folder, but that didn't help either.
I have followed the troubleshooting from here: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3989 - however that also did not help.
I have tried changing the folder path for iCloud photo stream, however that did not help either.
I tried the steps from someone who said they spoke to an Apple rep (steps copied from forum and I put them in italic) on this forum: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/5381738
Anyway, the Apple rep had me sign out of iCloud CC on my PC.
Then on each iOS devices Settings/iCloud/Delete Account.
    Confirmed all the warnings.
Then re-entered my iCloud id and password on the iOS device.
Things restarted and the iOS Photo Streams got loaded with the number of photos that
    iCloud has.
Signed in on iCloud on the PC. It synced the same way.
Tried taking pictures on the iPhone and iPad. They synced everywhere.
    So I'm back in business.
I just deleted everything on my iOS devices when I exited iCloud.
My interest is the PC syncing when I take a photo on my iPhone.
ME: Okay so these steps again refreshed the photostream on my iPhone 5.  I can see that the photos I took yesterday and today have been uploaded to the photo stream as I can see them there on my device.  I have also now signed back into iCloud on my Windows 7 PC and it is slowly syncing again, but just recognising the same photos it downloaded previously as per Step 3 which I did just earlier this morning.
I have also just tried uploading photos via the upload folder from my windows 7 PC, and they uploaded perfectly.
This is really, really frustrating.  I've tried everything I can find on these forums but nothing has helped fix the issue 100%.
Can anyone offer something else I can try to reslove this issue?

Hi all.  I can’t tell you how to solve your iCloud 3.x issues.  Heck, I don’t think they’re even solvable.
But if you had a previous version of iCloud that was working correctly then I can definitely tell you how to solve the “iCloud Photo Stream is not syncing correctly to my Windows 7 PC” problem.  …without even a re-boot.
Log out of iCloud 3.0 and uninstall it.
Open My Computer and then open your C:\ drive.  Go to Tools/Folder Options and click on the View tab.  Select the “Show hidden…” radio button and click on OK.
    Open the Users folder.
    Open your user folder
    Open ProgramData (previously hidden folder)
Open the Apple folder – not the Apple Computer folder.
    Open the Installer Cache folder
In Details view sort on Name
Open the folder for the newest entry for iCloud Control Panel 2.x – probably 2.1.2.8 dated 4/25/2013
Right click on iCloud64.msi and select Install.
When finished, the synching between iCloud and your PC will be back to working perfectly as before the 3.0 fiasco.  The pictures will be synched to the same Photostream folder as before the “upgrade”.  Now all you need to do is wait until Apple/Microsoft get this thing fixed and working before you try the 3.x upgrade again.
I think the iCloud 3.0 software was written by the same folks who wrote healthcare.gov with the main difference being that healthcare.gov might eventually be made to work.
For those of you who hate to go backwards, think of it as attacking to the rear.  Which would you rather have, the frustration of no synching or everything working on an older version?
    Good luck…

  • HT201317 why the last photos in photo stream are not sync with my iPad?

why the last photos in photo stream are not sync with my iPad?

Photostream only syncs photos over Wi-Fi, make sure you are connected to Wi-Fi to begin with.
Photostream only syncs when the camera app is closed, ensure it is closed.
Photostream only syncs when the battery is above 20%, try recharging the device
Try disabling photo stream on your device (settings > iCloud), restarting your device and then re-enabling photo stream.
If this doesn't help you may need to reset photo stream. You can do this at icloud.com by clicking on your name in the top right corner and then the advanced settings in the pop-up dialogue box that appears.
Note: disabling photostream and re-enabling it will result in any photos that are currently in the photostream album on your device, that are older than 30 days old, not being added back.

  • Photo stream is not syncing

I udated my phone to iOS6, now the photo's in my photo stream will not sync that are taken from my other devices.  Grrr...  anyone else have this problem?

Same problem.  Also it says "40 out of 1800", but there weren't that many there to begin with.  Seems like the older ones have downloaded, but nothing else.  The message is continous since the update.

  • My iCloud email does not sync to all my devices

My iCloud email (yes an @me address) does not sync to all my devices. My phone and mac sync perfectly, but my iPad never updates.  If I have my mac and phone on the mail program and I archive an email it works instantly on both devices.  However my iPad seems to be in the stone age. Even though I've archived all my mail and my inbox is empty on both my mac and phone my iPad still has a notification for 28 new emails going back to last week.  Its like my iPad is completely seperate.

Like I said its seemless between my phone and mac. I can archive on my phone and it will immediately disappear from my iMac and vice versa.  Its odd that it works on one iOS device and not another... And when I say my emails don't archive on my iPad I mean it shows the last 50 emails (because of my settings) from my inbox like I haven't already archived them already. So I have emails on my iPad from 9 days ago =\

  • I emailed my Outlook calendar to myself and opened it on the iPhone, I accepted all appointments to the apple calendar, they show fine on the iPhone but do not sync to all other devices, why?

I use Outlook at work, I email the next week's calendar to my iPhone.  I then open the email in apple mail on my iPhone and click "accept all", which populates all events onto my apple calendar.  All good so far.  Now I open my iPad, mac etc and the events are never sync'd over.  I test by creating new test events on iPhone and iPad and Mac and they all are able to create events that instantly sync to all other devices, cool.  If I open an event on the iPhone that was pulled in from the emailed Outlook calendar, and then hit edit then save, magically it shows up on all devices.  But that is for that event only.  The Outlook calendar I sent and accepted into the iPhone calendar had 35 events, it is too cumbersome to open each and hit edit/save so that they will all sync to all apple calendars on my various devices.  Help!

You should be able to set up numerous IMAP accounts on your iPhone with no problems.
IMAP will not sync contacts and calendars in your local copy of Outlook.

  • Photo Stream is not syncing all of my photos on my Iphone 4.  I've checked all of my settings and they are all turned on, ready to go.  Can anyone tell me why it would randomly miss a few photos please?

HELP!!  I have been to several tech support sites and have checked all of the settings for my Iphone 4, which appear to be on the correct "on" position HOWEVER when syncing with Icloud/Itunes via my Windows PC (windows 7) the Photo Stream comes up short 4 or 5 photos.  There are only 116 photos installed (plus 4 videos).  Would someone kindly tell me what's wrong and what I need to do to correct his?  PLEASE? This is driving me crazy & of course the photos that it aren't syncing are the important ones! THANK YOU!!!

I have approximately 900  photos in IPhoto but only show 300  photos in Photo Stream. how do I "sync" this? Ultimately, what I am looking to do is have my entire library, all libraries visible to AppleTV. Please assist. Thx

  • Photo stream does not sync mac OSX mavericks

I have macbook air running mavericks 10.9.2 and when I setup photostream it only synced back for about 2 months, want it to collect all prior photostream photos from my iphone/ipad.  It has stayed just the 2 months data for a few days now so convinced it will never update.  any way to force the update?  May be a bug.  Thoughts?
Also, it seems that the photostream may have been locking up my wifi connection.  After disabling photostream it is working again but with some hangups, but not as percistant as it was before.  Thoughts?

Trouble With Syncing Mac Photo Stream to iPhone
iMac & iPhone photos don't sync

  • My photo stream-need to sync across all devices, that's the purpose right?

We have iPhone 5Cs, an iPad, and a computer that runs windows 7.  We used to be able to use the My Photo Stream across devices just fine.  When I took a picture on my iPhone it would automatically sync to My Photo Stream on my computer.  When we took pictures on our iPad same thing, when my son takes pictures on his iPhone it would also sync seamlessly to My Photo Stream on our computer.  It is enabled, but when I click on the icon in My Favorites it says it's not enabled and to open iCloud, I do but then it is clearly clicked on to enable.  I have signed out of all iCloud accounts and signed back in to no avail.  I pay for extra storage on iCloud because the hope was I would be able to sync pictures across all devices, 2 iPhones, iPad, computer, and iCloud.  But this isn't happening.  I want to be able to take a picture with my phone and (when connected to Wi-Fi) be able to have that sync to my computer and the iCloud especially.  What is wrong?

In fact when I uninstalled iCloud and reinstalled it, I thought it had fixed itself, because it did revert back to the default location and the My Photo Stream was showing up, oddly enough when I took a picture on the phone and went back into the My Photo Stream it would come up with the error message that "iCloud Photos is not enabled" which it clearly was before I took the picture.  It had My Photo Stream with no photos in it.  Am I missing a setting?

  • Photo Stream does not sync when I export pics from Lightroom to Uploads folder.

I am using a PC. When I export pics from Adobe Lightroom to the "Uploads" folder iCloud does not sync with my phone. If I export pics from Adobe Lightroom to any other folder and then move them to the "Uploads" folder everything works like it should. Is this an iCloud glitch or is this me? Thanks in advance.

Updating PhotoStream automatically after making changes to pictures in Aperture is something I'd be interested in as well. As far as I know, this can't be done right now. Has anybody come up with a work around for the moment?
    Thanks!

  • My photo stream will not sync with window 7 computer

    So frustrating!

Disable Photo Stream in the System/iCloud preference pane on your Mac:
and in iPhoto's Photo Share preference pane.
Reboot and reenable both respectively. That should jump start Photo Stream.

  • IMessage not syncing across all my devices

I have installed iMessage Beta on my iMac today. Messages are syncing between the iMac and my iPad1. But my iPhone 4S is not getting these messages. They are all connected to the same iCloud Account.

The devil is in the detail. I have two Apple IDs, once i got all the devices set up with the same ID for receiving messages in Message settings everything works fine.

  • I followed all of the steps to iCloud setup on PC and Photo Stream does not work

I have a Windows 7 PC, and an iphone 4.  I upgraded to IOS 5 and did the iCloud setup with the download Control Panel app and set it up.  However, when i take a photo with my iphone, the photo goes to my camera roll and does not go to my photo stream and there fore not to my PC photo stream folder on my PC.
So far Photo Stream does nothing.  Also, Are we supposed to be able to see our photo stream if we login to iCloud?  When logged in to iCloud, I see my contacts and mail and other stuff bu no Photo Stream.
    Am I missing something?
    Thanks,
    Jay Abbott

I figured out the answer to my question.  Photo Stream will not sync unless your iphone is connected via Wi-Fi.  Now I have to go find a Wi-Fi network to see if I am correct.  I read the maunal, wow, what a concept.
I hope this helps others who don't read the manual but complain on the forums!
