Photo Stream no longer updating on Mac Photo

Hardware:
iPhone 6+ 128GB
iOS 8.3
MacBook Pro Retina
2.4GHz i5
8GB
OS X Yosemite 10.10.3
Hope you can help. Please.
Updated to Photo on all my devices. All working fine until Saturday and now when I take a picture (or screen grab / save pic / etc) on my iPhone it no longer appears in Photo on my Mac.
If I put the pic in a shared stream album it appears, but it doesn't appear in the 'Photos' or 'All Photos' section of Photo on the Mac.
I haven't changed any settings.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
Dave

I moved my old photo stream file (with the pictures from when it did work) to a dvd-r. Then I uninstalled iCloud from the control panel. Restarted my computer and reinstalled iCloud from the web. It gave me new folders with pictures from my devices. It does not send all of the pictures rather only the last 100 ish. My photo stream on my iPad and iPhone where unaffected. It's the best I've come up with.

  • HT201317 How come my photo stream no longer updates photos automotically?

My phone no longer updates photos which I take automotically and the settings have not changed. I've also deleted many photos in my photostream so there's definitely enough room. My phone and laptop are also connected to wifi and icloud is on.. Can't figure out why this isn't working..

You might have to go to Settings>iCloud and turn photo stream off, then back on to get it working again.  To avoid losing any photos in the process, open your my photo stream album, tap Edit, tap the photos you want to keep, tap Share, tap Save to Camera Roll.  When you turn photo stream back on, you will only get photos added in the last 30 days.  Older photos are removed from your photo stream (even though they will remain on your device until deleted or you turn photo stream off).
Also, photos are only added to photo stream when you are connected to wifi, the camera app is closed and you have at least 20% battery life remaining.

  • Shared photo streams no longer updating in iPhoto since Yosemite upgrade

I just noticed that new photos are not being downloaded to the shared photo streams in iPhoto on my iMac.  I am getting all new photos in my iPhone and iPad... just not on the iMac.
Anyone encountered this or have any solutions?

Disable Photo Stream in the System/iCloud preference pane
and in iPhoto's Photo Stream preference pane.
Reboot and reenable both respectively. That should jump start Photo Streams.
If the above doesn't work this method posted by user  Willis I Am might do the job for you:

I do not know if anyone ever runs into this issue anymore, but the Apple Engineers helped me fix this recently.
They had me do the following:
Turn off Photo Stream in your user account: (second screenshot above)
    Quit iPhoto
Goto System Preferences > iCloud > Uncheck Photo Stream.l (first screenshot above)
    Close System Preferences
Then deleting the entire ~/Library/Application Support/iLifeAssetManagement/ directory.
Open Terminal and type in cd Library
then type open . (open space period)
navigate to Application Support and delete the iLifeAssetManagement folder.
    quit terminal
Then turn photo stream back on in their photo library.
open iPhoto and click on Photo stream in the left column.
    enable photo stream.
It will take some time to download the cached photos but this resolved my problem of having 0 display and no photos in the "My Photo Stream" area when any of my other devices showed new photo stream photos without any problems.

  • Photo Stream no longer working on PC after iOS 8

Photo Stream has always worked well for me, automatically uploading all photos taken with my iPhone to my Windows 7 PC.  However, since I updated to iOS 8, Photo Stream no longer uploads to the PC.  It works on all my iOS devices, but no longer uploads new photos to the PC.  I have re-installed iCloud for Windows, but this has not made a difference.  Am I overlooking something or is this a common problem iOS 8 users are having?
    Thanks for your help!

After upgrading to iOS 8.1, upgrading to the latest iTunes and re-installing iCloud for Windows, Photo Stream is working again!

I think you can solve your problems by removing your AppleID email address from BOTH the Messages setting on your iPhone and the iMessages settings on your Mac.
    On iPhone:
    Settings > Messages > iMessage > Dissabled
Settings > Messages > Send & Receive > touch the "(i)" < touch "Remove This Email"
    On Mac:
    Open "Messages" application
    Click "Messages menu > Preferences
    Click "Accounts"
    Select your AppleID account
Under the "You can be reached for messages at" settings, uncheck your AppleID email address and your phone number
Then uncheck the "Enable this account" setting
And lastly, ask all of your friends with iPhones to delete all iMessage conversations (blue bubbles) in their entirety.
To test, send a friend a new text using their phone number (not their email address) and watch the color of the bubble.  If it's green then you are using SMS.

  • My iphoto wont open since i updated my mac, please help? it says i need to install an iphoto library upgrader which I have installed but still cant see my photos.

my iphoto wont open since i updated my mac, please help? it says i need to install an iphoto library upgrader which I have installed but still cant see my photos.

What version of iPhoto are you using? 9.6 is the current version.
    Do a backup.
    Quit the application.
Go to Finder and select your user/home folder. With that Finder window as the front window, either select Finder/View/Show View options or go command - J.  When the View options opens, check ’Show Library Folder’. That should make your user library folder visible in your user/home folder.  Select Library. Then go to Preferences/com.apple.iPhoto.plist. Move the .plist to your desktop.
Restart, open the application and test. If it works okay, delete the plist from the desktop.
If the application is the same, return the .plist to where you got it from, overwriting the newer one.

  • I have recently updated my macs software then been onto Photo Booth and realised that all of my pictures/videos have been deleted and are not in iPhoto? Im not sure where they have all gone?

    PLEASE HELP

Photobooth and iPhoto are two quite different apps with no connection between them. I'd try the Using Mac OS X forum for whatever version of the OS you have.

It does not give me a choice, it just says quit or upgrade? p.s. i didn't realise ther was  a way to back up my computer beforehand, which i am guessing this is time machine?

    1. No, you haven't.
    2. Back up the iPhoto library(this can be done through Time Machine or by dragging it to a drive, partition, or disk image formatted as Mac OS Extended) and then click Upgrade.
    3. Aside from Time Machine and drag-copying items from your home folder, programs such as the Disk Utility, Carbon Copy Cloner, and SuperDuper can make backups.

Curretly, there is an iCloud blackout.  It started this morning around 2AM California time (Pacific), 5AM New York (Eastern).  A lot of people have been having issues all day, including me.  No iCloud services are online.  Even Find My iPhone is down.

  • Photo stream no longer shared- unable to share stream anymore.

All of a sudden when I try to invite people to my photo stream it sends the link but when they click on it it says photo stream no longer shared.

I have this same issue - iPhone 4S running IOS 7.0.4...
eg;  today I took 10 pix - only ONE went to the stream - annoying!

  • Photo Streaming No Longer Working

I am sick and tired of Apple and their crappy updates. All I want Is one picture folder that updates between my devices. Now I have photos and collections . ThIs does not update between devices. Then I have albums with camera roll, photo stream and any other albums I have created. Where only the photo stream folder supposedly updates for new pictures.
After the new update my photo streaming stopped working. My IPad has now deleted all of my previouse streamed pictures. I do not have a computer to upload anything I have an Ipad and an iPhone. My IPad does all of my browising needs and even if I did have a computer I don't want pictures stored in more albums in another place. Now there's album sharing where I need to create more albums! Enough is enough Apple.
How do I have one folder where all past and future pictures are stored and get uploaded to each device. If that can't happen I am seriously thinking of getting Samsung products. I use pictures in my business and if I take it on my IPhone then I need it to upload to my IPad to get used on my website an I would like all of the pictures past stored there too.
I DO NOT WANT 5 million places for pictures where the pictures are then duplicated and create MORE data used on your devices. If a pictures taken on my iPhone its then in my phot stream and if I choose to create an album it's there and if I create a shared album that same pictures now in 4 different places. Madness. Who thinks this is a good idea?
I can see having the option for albums some people do like to create there own albums but I'd rather have 1 folder. For goodness sake it should not be so hard!

After upgrading to iOS 8.1, upgrading to the latest iTunes and re-installing iCloud for Windows, Photo Stream is working again!

  • Does updating to Mac OSX Yosemite delete my photos on iPhoto?

I want to update to Mac OSX 10.10 from 10.7.5 and I was wondering if my photos on iPhoto would be erased from this process. Also, is there a way to save the photos onto a flash drive?

Updating OS X will not delete any of your data.
You should have a (TimeMachine) backup of all your data.
Copy ~/Pictures/Photo Library to your flash drive.

You've posted to the iTunes Match forum, which your questions do not appear to be about. Perhaps you would get better help by posting in the iTunes for Mac forum.

  • Updated my mac to mountain lion 10.8.3 and now my app store, mail or facetime won't open. Also, I am not longer able to play videos through firefox. I tried downloading the combo for mountain lion and it refuses to install? Can anyone help me?

updated my mac to mountain lion 10.7.8.3 and now my app store, mail or facetime won't open. Also, I am not longer able to play videos through firefox. I tried downloading the combo for mountain lion and it refuses to install saying that I need to see developer. Whenever I try to open my appstore, mail or facetime it says that the programmes need to be installed and might not be compatible with this version of mac operating system. Can anyone help me?

It's not a bad install of Mountain Lion. I've had the same thing happen to me, but it affected not only Mail, but a variety of other programs including iPhoto and MS Office, where I had to delete preferences, caches, and reinstall the OS as well as the program itself. I'm still having issues with Mail, so I've gone to another program.
Everything was fine upon the initial install. I restarted my iMac about two weeks after the install, and that's when the issues began to happen. I've reinstalled Mountain Lion twice, but the same issues arise.
As I mentioned above, you'll need to figure out which preferences are causing the issue, then reinstall the program, as a fresh reinstallation will do you no good unless you wipe the drive completely.
