Photo stream not transferring with iCloud

I have a new iPad and a iPhone. The first try I got pictures to go from one to the other. Now none of it works. I have iCloud on, photo stream on, wifi on. Can not get pics from iPhone to iPad and visa versa. Very frustrating.

Try disabling photo stream on your device (settings > iCloud), restarting your device and then re-enabling photo stream.
If this doesn't help you may need to reset photo stream. You can do this at Cloud.com by clicking on your name in the top right corner and then the advanced settings in the pop-up dialogue box that appears.

  • Photo Stream not syncing with iPad

    I am using:
    1. iPhone 5
    2. iPad 3rd Gen.
    3. Using iOS 6.1.4 for both the products
    4. iCloud on Windows Vista
Both my iOS devices are synced with the same Apple ID and PhotoStream is turned on in both of them. However, only the PhotoStream of iPhone is synced with my PC while the PhotoStream of iPad does not get synced either with the PC or with the iPhone.
May I know what am I doing wrong? Need help. Thanks.

  • Why did Photo stream not sync in iCloud

Why didn't photo stream sync with iCloud on? I turned it on for both devices.

Photo stream only adds photos taken on your device after turning it on.  Earlier photos aren't added.  New photos are added when the camera is closed, the device is connected to wifi and it has at least 20% battery life remaining.  Both devices also have to be sharing the same iCloud account to receive photos from your photo stream.  (If they aren't sharing the same iCloud account you would have to create a shared photo stream album and share this with your other device.  This article discusses how to do this: http://help.apple.com/icloud/#mmc0cd7e99.)
Try taking a new photo on one of your devices, close the camera app, then be sure you are connected to wifi.  Then see if it streams to your other device (assuming it is signed into the same iCloud account).

  • Photos app not syncing with icloud

    Hi all,
After updating to the new photos app my photo library doesn't seem to be syncing properly with icloud. My ipad and iphone update ok to show the recent photos I've taken on either device, when I view the photos from the other device, then when I log into iCloud all the new photos are also stored there.
However, when I open the Photos app on my mackbook the new photos aren't visible. Any thoughts or ideas on how to resolve this?
    Many thanks

Have you checked your iCloud settings on your Mac or PC. And if you are using a Mac, have you also activated Photo Stream for iPhoto or Aperture?

  • Photo Stream not syncing with Windows 7

Photo stream seems to be having trouble syncing with certain Windows machines. Mine is having the same problem. I was having trouble getting photos from the stream to my Windows 7 machine so I tried to uninstall and reinstall the iCloud control panel 2.0. Seemed to fix the problem until next reboot then it stopped syncing again.
Have seen numerous posts about this but no fix or attention. Since Apple support is pretty much non-existant with this topic, figured I would add another post about the problem in hopes someone at Apple would see this and look into it.

First make sure iCloud and Photo Stream are installed on your PC. Connect the iPad (or iPhone) to your PC with the USB cable and start iTunes on your PC. Once your iPad/iPhone shows up under "Devices" in the sidebar (which you may have to enable), click it. Then click "Photos" at the top of the iTunes screen on your PC. Check the "Sync Photos from" box, and then under that, click "Selected folders." (Ignore the pulldown menu to the right of "Sync Photos from" -- the important thing is to tick "Selected folders.")  A pane should open up below that with a list of folders including "Photo Stream." Choose that and then at the bottom of the screen click Sync. This worked for my Windows 7 box.

  • Shared photo streams not transferring photos

My shared photo stream was working fine, and then suddenly it wouldn't receive any photos from other users, and wouldn't send them my uploaded pictures? How do i get it to work again? I also got an email that someone subscribed but it never showed up on my phone as subscribed, just invited. I feel like it just needs to refresh or something. Any tips would be appreciated!

I have had the same problem - Shared Photo Streams (evidently) do not update dynamically. There is also no button to force an update in the photo app either.
On your iDevice by going into Settings > Photos & Camera and switching off "Shared Photo Streams".  Go into your Photo app and check that they have been removed.
Now go back into the same Settings sub-menu and re-enable "Shared Photo Streams".  Back in the Photo app, you will see the shared stream update with the correct photos.
I have the exact same problem with any shared photo streams I create on my iPhone - they do not appear on my iPad unless I do the above.  The same goes for iPhoto/Aperture on my Mac.

  • Windows 7 Photo Stream not syncing after iCloud 3.0

HELP!  I am a relatively new to the IPhone community.  My husband bought me one for Christmas 2013.  I have the IPhone 5s .  Like many users, I want to be able to back up the pictures I take and or receive on my phone to my computer.  I have a Dell laptop running on Windows 7.  I downloaded iCloud 3.0 and have the checked off the box next to Photos.  I also have Photos turned on in the ICloud settings on my phone.  I experienced this problem back in April, where my photos were not syncing to my computer. I contacted Apple Support, and he ran several tests.  I took a couple of pictures, and they started syncing.  While I was not able to get all of my photos, I had the majority of them and I figured the problem was solved and would continue to sync from there on out.
I just checked this past weekend and saw none of my recent photos were there.  I proceeded to google the subject, tried deleting the ICloud control panel and redownloaded it, and then forced a backup on my phone.  It only backed up 87 of the 517 photos I have in my Photo Stream.  I tried these trouble shooting options below but once again, only have 90 of the 517 photos I have:
    1. Open Task Manager (ctrl, alt and delete) and end ApplePhotoStream.exe and AppltPhotoStreamDownloader.exe if they’re running.
    2. Go to your Users folder and navigate to the following path: C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MediaStream\
    3. Delete everything in that folder.
These files are a local cache of what has already been synced but it appears to get stuck so deleting these files forces it to resync again from scratch.
    4. Open iCloud Control Panel and make sure “Photos” are checked.
The above steps force re-downloading of images after any stuck point. It should make sure that your newer images are downloaded.
My husband has an IPhone as well, and his photos sync no problem to his IPad.  I am assuming this works better since they are both Apple Products.  Can someone please help me resolve this issue as I would like to be able to get my photos on my computer so I can delete some of them off my phone?

If the missing photos were added to photo stream more than 30 days ago they are no longer in iCloud (although they may still be on your your phone).  In that case, to get the older photos to stream to your computer you can add them to a shared stream on your phone (see http://help.apple.com/icloud/#/mmc0cd7e99).  (Note: when creating the shared stream, you don't have to invite any subscribers.  As the owner of the shared stream you are automatically subscribed to it; just skip that step.)  Another option is to save them to the camera roll on the phone and import them to your computer using your usb cable, as explained here: iOS: Import personal photos and videos from iOS devices to your computer.

  • Photo stream not downloading through icloud

I have set up Icloud on my PC and cannot seem to get photos to download. I have watched numerous UTube tutorials and gone through the help sections. but is not working. Even the Apple help suggests that you can reset your photo stream, through the icloud log i, but I dont get the Advanced menu option they talk about...

  • Found a fix for "Photo Stream NOT synchronizing with Windows"

After doing so much research, and fiddling around with everything. To those people that are having issues with synchronizing Photo Stream with Windows. After downloading the iCloud, install the program, and open iCloud Control Panel. Once you open up and enable Photo Stream, this is the solution. TAKE A PICTURE OF ANYTHING. Once you do that open up the folder, and you'll notice that the pictures are starting to appear.

  • Iphone 4s photo stream not transferring to pc

I believe everything is set up correctly to enable photo stream however just recently it stopped transferring the photos from photo stream on my phone to my pc. It was working great prior to this and now I cannot figure out how to get it back working properly. Everything is working perfectly between the camera roll and photo stream on my device but it just doesn't automatically import the photo stream to my pc anymore.
    Any suggestions would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    SM

Note that only new photos (photos taken after you first turn on Photo Stream) will be transferred. That and other information that may help are in My Photo Stream FAQ - Apple Support

  • Photo details not transferring with Export

When attempting to Export a photo and selecting "Include Title and keywords and Location Information" -- the information is NOT transferring. Instead, I get the date of transfer. How do I maintain the original date and place the photo was taken?

Where are you seeing this "incorrect date/time"?
It sounds like you are looking at the file metadata using the finder rather than the photo metadata using a photo program ( like iPhoto or preview). A file is not a photo and the file data describes the file. The photo data is in the EXIF and IPTC fields within the photo

  • Photo's not syncing with iCloud photo library from and to iPhone

Photo synchronization stopped working from and to my iPhone 6.
Currently new photo's taken on my phone aren't uploaded to the iCloud photo library and new photo's uploaded from my mac to the iCloud library aren't showing up on my iphone. I still have enough space available on iCloud.
It worked fine until two weeks ago.
Any suggestions how this issue can be resolved?
    Thanks,
    Koen

My process was turning on iCloud Photo Library on my imac only at first and uploaded my 70,000 pics which took about 2 weeks (did much of it at night). After it was done I turned it on my three devices at the same time (iphone 6, iPhone 6+ and iPad 2). The download to the devices (eg thumbnails) took about another week and it seemed to work largely fine until recently. It doesn't however really work on my iPad 2, but it's so old I'm not too surprised.
My only issue now (hopefully) is the response time on the 6+ which seems quite slow. Good luck and I would try to turn it on and see what happens. But be patient, at first it takes quite some time.

  • HT4623 photo stream not uploading to windows computer

iO6, photo stream not uploading (via iCloud) from my iPhone 5 to Windows computer.  All setting seem to be set to on.

    Try a Restart.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
     Resetting your settings
You can also try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your device settings again.... All of the settings in the settings app will have to be re-entered. You won't lose any data, but it takes time to enter all of the settings again.
    Resetting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Apple recommends this only if you are unable to restart it.
Or if this doesn't work and nobody else on the blog doesn't have a better idea you can contact Apple.
Here is a link to their contacts with most of the information below.
