Photo stream on iphone and ipad

Hello,
I have an iphone and an ipad, both on the same apple ID.
I take pictures with both and want both photo streams to come through to my PC. This has worked fine up until the point that my ipad picture number has reached the start of my saved iphone pictures.
I removed and stored my older iphone pictures, but it is a hassle keeping on top of this when the numbers of each reach the numbers of the others.
I need to be able to either change the name of the images from iphone or ipad from 'IMG_0000' to something else or to have both to go to separate folders.
Is there a simple solution to my problem? (Other than stopping taking pictures with one, need both for work).
Many Thanks,
SeanE442

You cannot delete individual photos on the photo stream at the moment.
All you can do is reset the whole photo stream
www.icloud.com, sign in, click on your user on the top right, go to advanced and reset the photo stream there.
Sorry if it isnt the answer your after....

  • How can I share photos between my iphone and ipad?

I want to automatically share photos between my iPhone and iPad.  I use iCloud and I setup Photo Stream but my photos are not moving from one device to the other. My goal is to have all my photos on both devices- automatically. How can I accomplish this?
    Thank you!

Photos will Not go between iPad & iPhone..they have to go thro' iCloud as a provider or sync via your computer individually...you need Wireless on both or a direct USB connection..
On each iPad and iPhone you can initialize via the Summary/Photos when they are connected via iTunes..

  • Since I upgraded to IOS7 when I synch my photos on my iphone and ipad they all come across in one album and not the separate albums I have them in on my laptop. Has this happened to anybody else??

  • HT201077 Photo stream from IPhone to IPad

I have iCloud open on both my IPad and my IPhone and sent my photos via Photo Stream to my IPad. t has been grinding away and "loading" for over an hour with poor resolution on the IPad side. When I  open a photo, the "loading" wheel keeps grinding. I can't delete the "loading" photos and start over. Our WiFi system is quite slow because we live in a rural area.

Probably the only way to stop it would be to turn photo stream off in Settings>iCloud on your iPad.  This will delete all photos in your photo stream album if you do.
If you have poor internet speed in your area, photo stream might not be the best solution for you.  You can also import photos to your computer (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083), then sync them to your other devices from the Photos tab of your iTunes sync settings.  You could also use an app like PhotoSync to transfer them to your other devices using your wifi (without going over the internet).

  • HT201077 Why are my photos on my iphone and ipad not the same?

My camera roll and photo stream on my iphone 4 and ipad 2 are not the same.  I have the same apple id for both and both devices are running ios 7.0.4.
    Any ideas?

The camera roll contains photos actually taken on your device, or saved from text messages, emails, websites, etc.  Because of this you shouldn't expect both devices to have the same photos in the camera roll.
The my photo stream album is also usually differerent on your devices.  This happens because photo stream photos only remain in iCloud for 30 days (even though they stay on your devices longer).  When you enable photo stream on a device, it can only receive photo stream photos still in iCloud, which are those from the last 30 days.  A consequence of this is that unless you enabled photo stream on both devices within 30 days of each other, one is likely to end up with fewer photo stream photos than the other.

  • Photos duplicating on iphone and ipad

Since the new update I  am finding all my photos duplicated on the ipad and iphone.  Any suggestions what is causing this?  Does it have to do with photo streaming? The don't appear to be duplicated on the iMac.
    Thank you,

Where are you seeing the duplicates? Are you seeing your photos twice in the camera roll or once in the photo Stream and once in the Camera Roll?
In which albums are the duplicates?
Are photos taken the device duplicated or photos synced to your devices?
If photos taken on your devices are duplicated it could be caused by taking HDR photos. If you have set the option "Settings > Photos & Camera > Keep Normal Photo", your HDR photos will appear twice..
Keep the normal photo in addition to the HDR version.  Go to Settings > Photos & Camera > Keep Normal Photo. Both the normal and HDR versions of the photo appear in Photos. HDR versions of photos in your Camera Roll are marked with “HDR” in the corner.

  • Why is it taking so long to import photos to my iphone and ipad?

My configuration: iMac 2007, 10.9, OS 7.0.3 on all devices, iPhoto directory on external Firewire drive.
It's always taken a while for my devices to complete the "Importing photos" step of the syncing process - maybe 2-5 minutes.
Since the iOS 7 update, and iTunes 11.1, that process is taking up the 30 minutes! I have a very large iPhoto libray (260 gb and over 49,000 items) that is stored on an external Firewire drive. All that is set to sync are several relatively small photo albums that rarely change, and a smart album consisting of "Last 3 Months." The sync takes forever, regardless of whether any new photos have been added recently. I'm seeing the same behavior on my iPhone 5 and iPad Mini.

That show that your original library is damaged and needs to be repaired.  Apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
    Fix #1
1 - launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
2 - run Option #4 to rebuild the database.
    Fix #2
Using iPhoto Library Manager  to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
1 - download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
2 - click on the Add Library button and select the library you want to add in the selection window..
3 - Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the Library ➙ Rebuild Library menu option.
4 - In the next  window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
5 - Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments but not books, calendars or slideshows. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

  • Different photo libraries on iphone and ipad

why would my photos be different on my iphone and my ipad if they are both synced to the same iphoto library? and the storage on my iphone is 24gb while on the ipad it only takes up 8. i havent gone through one by one to check, but they do seem to have the same photos. and does photostream take up extra storage? as well as the camera roll?

    Hi Mirko,
We managed to open a TAC for this issue and was informed that this is a bug where Jabber IM for iPhone is not able to substitute the sAMAccountName with the actual name.
Has been informed last week that there is going to be a new client release very soon which is version 1.0.(2). The photo issue is fixed in that version.
Still waiting for the new version.

  • Photo stream from iphone to ipad

My phone got stolen now im trying to see my photos on my ipad, they both have the same user name.  But u cant see them, on my ipad photo stream it show only 37 pics but i do have over 1000.. Any help ??

You're welcome.  Restoring your backup to his phone will replace the data and settings on his phone with the ones on your old phone, so he would need to start by backup up his phone, then restore your backup, then import the recovered photos to your computer, then finish be restoring his backup back to his phone.  His phone would also have to be running the same or higher version of iOS as your phone in order to use restore the backup.  If it isn't, he would need to update it first.  The specific steps are:
Upadate his phone the the same or higher iOS as your phone was running (if necessary)
Save any photo stream photos that are not in his camera roll to his camera roll so they are not lost.  To do this, open his my photo stream album, tap Select, tap the photos, tap the share icon (box with upward pointing arrow), then tap Save to Camera Roll.
Create a current backup of his phone, either using iTunes or iCloud (iTunes is faster to restore to later).  To back up using iTunes, connect the phone to his computer, open iTunes, click on the name of his phone in iTunes, go to the Summary tab of his iTunes sync settings and click Back Up Now.  Then go to File>Devices>Transfer Purchases.
Erase his phone by going to Settings>General>Reset, tap Erase All Content and Settings, then your should go through the setup screens on his phone as if it were yours and when given the option, choose Restore from iCloud Backup and follow the prompts.  Be sure the phone is connected to wifi and his charger as it is restoring the backup.
When finished, import the recovered photos to your computer as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083.
Erase his phone again by going to Settings>General>Reset, tap Erase All Content and Settings, then he should go through the setup screens on his phone as if it were his and when given the option, choose either Restore from iCloud Backup or Restore from iTunes Backup depending on whether it was backed up using iCoud or iTunes in step 3.  After restoring his backup his phone should be back to the way it was originally.

  • How can you delete photos from Photo Stream on iPhone and iMac

I can move photoes to iPhoto and photos on iPhone 4s but do not seem to be able to delete them from PhotoStream

    You can't!
All you can do is turn the Photostream off then back on again which will delete all the photos from the server but not your iPhone.
