Photo Stream on restored iPad not matching iPhone or iPhoto

I have approximately 950 photos in my Photo Stream (PS) on my iPhone and in iPhoto.  I had to do a Restore as New with the iPad and not it looks like just about 50 random pictures show up in my PS.  I have tried turning PS off/on but that created duplicates of photos.  I finally did an off/on and got just the 50 (non-dupes) back in my iPad PS but I would REALLY like the PS on my iPhone to be on my iPad as well (I thought that was the point).
Is the 30-day rule killing me?  Anything else that could cause this?
Thank you in advance.
TC

I think it's the 30-day limitation.  I've read that if you re-enable Photo Stream after restoring as you did on your iPad you only get the photos from the last 30 days.  (Older photos seem to stay in your Photo Stream album on your device until you turn Photo Stream off, then turn it back on.)

  • Photo stream: yes on iPad, no on iPhone

I was using photo stream for the last 2 weeks extensively on my iPhone and it was working. Just 2 days ago I got the iPad and enabled Photo Stream on it. Now Photo Stream no longer works on my iPhone, but does work on my iPad. What?

I've tried removing iCloud from both. Then I only added it back on iPhone. Still not working. Re-add on iPad and it works. Also, photos that I have taken with iPad appear on desktop in photostream, but not on iPhone in photostream.

How do I get my photo streams from my ipad to sync to my iphone?

Your iPhone must also be signed into the same iCloud account as the iPad. Then look in Settings/iCloud/Photo Stream and ensure both My Photo Stream and Shared Photo Streams are turned on.

  • How do I photo stream from my iPad to my iphone?

My wife and I take a lot of pics with our phones and everything she sends a photo stream it always goes to my iPad and never links with my phone. This is irritating but not the issue. I've decided to use my iPad as a photo storage now. The issue I'm having is when I take pics on my iPhone I can't send them to my iPad by photo stream to store them. What am I doing wrong?

You have to Sign in  on both devices with the same Apple Account.
To check, go to Settings> iCloud

This is all just a partial answer since details will depend upon how you want to do it.

You'll need to get it all onto one iTunes collection on your Mac Pro, then sync the devices to that.  iTunes only lets you transfer purchases from a device, otherwise you have to use third party software.
I guess you could also look into getting iTunes Match.

    Hi MrRhea,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
It sounds like you have photos in your Photo Stream that you would like to download. The photos are not actually stored on your Apple TV, it sounds like they are being displayed from your Photo Stream. Please read over the attached article for information on your Photo Stream and how to download these photos.
My Photo Stream FAQ - Apple Support
Because your Mac and PC have more storage than your iOS devices, you can choose to download all of your My Photo Stream photos automatically.
In iPhoto or Aperture preferences on your Mac, select Photos (or Photo Stream) > My Photo Stream > Automatic Import. All of your photo stream photos will import into your Events, Projects, Photos, Faces, and Places folders in iPhoto or Aperture.
On your PC with My Photo Stream on in the Control Panel, all of your photos will import intoC:\\Users\<user name>\Pictures\iCloud Photos\My Photo Stream
    Best regards,

  • TS3989 Only some of the photos I have taken on my iPhone appear in the photo stream on my iPad even thou they were taken at the same time. Why is this and how can I import the other photos from my iPhone to my iPad?

Only some of the photos I have taken on my iPhone appear in the photo stream on my iPad even thou they were taken at the same time. Why is this and how can I import the other photos from my iPhone to my iPad?

If older photos are missing it may be because photo stream photos are only held in iCloud for 30 days.  After that they are removed from iCloud but will remain (up to 1000 photos) on your device until deleted.  Also, only photos taken after enabling photo stream are added to your photo stream, and only when the camera is closed, your device is connected to wifi and you have at least 20% battery life remaining.
To transfer the missing photos you can either create a shared photo stream containing them and invite yourself to it (see http://help.apple.com/icloud/#mmc0cd7e99), import the photos to your computer and sync them to your iPad, or use an app like PhotoSync to transfer them to your iPad over wifi.

  • My husband just got an iPad and we are wondering if he can sync the iPad to my lap top since I already have my iPhone synced to the laptop. We do not want to intermix the contacts, photos, etc from his iPad onto my iPhone or my iPhone info onto his iPad.

You should be able to sync both to the same iTunes - I sync my iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch to the same computer. With the iPad connected and selected on the left-hand side of your computer's iTunes, you can use the tabs on the right-hand side to select which of your iTunes content to sync to it, so you can control which apps, photos, music etc are synced to it, and (via the Info tab) from which email account your contacts are synced from. Your computer's iTunes should remember your syncing preferences for each device.

Why are there more photos on my Photo Stream on my ipad than on my iphone?
Also, how can I push photos from photo stream to my ipnone?

Probably because you enabled photo stream on your iPad before you did on your phone.  Photos are only maintained in photo stream for 30 days, although photos outside of this limit will remain on your device.  If you enabled photo stream on your phone later, some of the photos were probably no longer in photo stream to sync to your phone.
To get them on your phone, import them to your computer and sync them to your phone, or use an app like PhotoSync to wirelessly transfer them to your phone.

  • How do I add invitees to an existing photo stream on my iPad

I created a photo stream and invited a friend to it.  Now. I want to add someone to the same photo stream from my iPad.  I cannot figure out how to do this from my iPad.  From iPhone it's easy, not the iPad though.....help please

From the iPad user guide located in your safari bookmarks:
Turn on Shared Photo Streams:  Go to Settings > iCloud > Photo Stream.
Create a shared photo stream:  Tap Photo Stream, then tap . To invite other iOS 6 or OS X Mountain Lion users to subscribe to your shared photo stream, enter their email addresses. To post the photo stream on icloud.com, turn on Public Website. Name the album, then tap Create.

  • TS3989 photo stream in my iPad air

I have a iPhone 5 with over 500 photo in photo stream but I can't see the same photo in my iPad air however I use the seem Apple ID

Photo Stream works with photos that you take with your devices after you turn it on. Photos that were already on your phone will not appear on your iPad Air. But any new photos that you take with your phone after you have activated photo stream on the iPad will then appear on the device as will all photos taken moving forward.

  • How to photo stream on 2 iPads with the same iCloud id

We have 2 icloud accounts. We want to use one of the accounts to photo stream from one ipad to another. Both Ipads are running ios7.04. I added the other icloud account to my Ipad but it does not give me a sign in option it defaults to my account. Do I need to delete my account? Or am I doing something wrong?

    Welcome to the Apple community.
If we means 2, then you are best keeping seperate accounts. What you need to do is share photo stream albums with the other.

  • HT5621 I only receive iMessage on my ipad not my iPhone, when looked in settings under messages then under send and receive only my email address is ticked and an unknown phone number not mine is present but grayed out not ticked ?

It's not my phone number under settings / messages/ send and receive, it's greyed out , not ticked and not changeable, so that's probably why iMessages only come into my ipad not my iPhone. Think it'll be the original phone number the phone had before my own number was assigned to it. How can it be changed?

Turn off imessage and turn it back on.  Then check the settings again.
If that doesn't work, then you may need to restore from your backup, if that doesn't woirk then restore as new.

  • Can't see my photo stream on my iPad

    hey
i cant cant see my photo stream on my iPad but it dose exist on my iphon . What should I do?

    royferentz,
The steps outlined below can help get your Photo Stream photos to appear on your iPhone.
From the Home screen, tap Settings > Wi-Fi.
Make sure that Wi-Fi is on and your device is connected to a wireless network. You can use these steps to troubleshoot your Internet connection on your iOS device.
From your Home screen, tap Settings > iCloud > Photos.
Make sure that My Photo Stream is on. If it’s already on, turn it off and tap Delete. After it turns off, turn My Photo Stream on again.
Close the Camera app on the device that took the photo. Photos won't upload from an iOS device to the Recently Added album (or the My Photo Stream album in iOS 7) until you close the Camera app.
See if your iOS device is below 20% battery power. To preserve battery life, downloads and uploads from My Photo Stream are disabled when the battery reaches 20%. Downloads and uploads will continue after you charge your device, and the battery charge is greater than 20%.

  • HT204022 I accidentally deleted all of my vacation photos from my photo stream on my iPad.  Is there any way I can recover these?

I accidentally deleted all of my vacation photos from photo stream on my iPad.  Is there any way to recover these pictures back into my iPad?

Lots of iPad users think it is impossible to recover lost data from iPad, in fact , it is possible.
Method 1: Trash bin to recover the deleted photos
Restore from your iCloud backup, if you used iCloud to backup your phone, see iCloud: Backup and restore overview, or estore from a backup you made with iTunes on your mac.
Method 2: Restore from the PhotoStream synced to your other devices.
Do you have Photo Stream enabled? Then your iPad will have a sent all photos added to the camera roll to the photo stream, and other devices you sync with the Photo Stream may have downloaded the photos, see: iCloud:
    Hope this helps.
If you make a backup previously, you still can recover your iPad photos from backup.
