Photo stream only streaming some photos

My photo stream is only streaming some of my photos and there is no obvious reason why some stream and others don't, any suggestions or solutions?

Not the solution but I have exactly the same problem gutted at the moment as many memories over last two years on here

Photo Stream only Uploading Some Photos

Has anyone else noticed this? If I take a picture on my iPhone 5, sometimes it shows in my camera roll and in Photo Stream. Sometimes, it only shows in my camera roll. Likewise, the Photo Stream library on my iPad 4 isn't picking up the new photos from my iPhone 5. The problem seems a little intermittent. Some photo upload fine, but I've had several that don't for some reason.
Any ideas?

Connect your iPhone to your PC and transfer the photos manually.

Need to backup and remove photo library form my iphone. This library was previously backup on a hard drive that crashed. So these photos are only in the photo library and not in the camera roll. If I do a full backup, it only takes the camera roll.

1) how to I backup the Photo Library to my new hard drive (as the last one was unrecoverable but previously backed up)
2) how do I remove the Photo Library form my phone (preferably after backup in item 1)

Since it has always been very basic to backup your computer and all it's data, Apple provides no way for you to transfer music from your iPhone back to your computer. As you know, you can re-download all iTunes purchases, but music that you ripped yourself you'll have to just re-rip again.
You can try and find 3rd party applications that might help you. I'm sure you'll pay, however.
Let this be a very important lesson learned.

To reiterate Larry's question are you trying to copy
your iPhoto Library package in it's entirety to the flash drive
or
just the photos that are in the library?
Each requires a different process.
If it't the former reformat the flash drive to OS X Extended (journaled) and drag the iPhoto Library package from your Pictures folder to the flash drive.
If it's the latter export them to a folder on the Desktop first viaFile ➙ Export ➙ File Export and Kind = Original and drag the folder onto the flash drive.

I created a watermark in LR4 and it applied to all photos I only wanted one photo marked.

I want to be able to add them manually to each photo in a location that I chose so the photo is still visably appealing.

I think it's a feature of the Web Module, since it is assumed that you would want the watermark on all images of a web-gallery.
But, in this context (as always is the case in Lr) you have to take into consideration of how Lr works. Lr never ever changes your originals.
"Watermark applied" means only that there is a set of data in the Lr catalog that says something like "when uploading the web-gallery the watermark has to be applied to the uploaded JPGs".
Nothing has been done to your originals - even though they are displayed in te Web Module with the watermark. The orginals are ever unchanged.
If you go back to the Library Module (within the same Collection) you won't see a watermark.

What is the file name of the video(s) you want to sync?
Another way. You can use a USB flash drive & the camera connection kit.
Plug the USB flash drive into your computer & create a new folder titled DCIM. Then put your movie/photo files into the folder. The files must have a filename with exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus the file extension (i.e., my-movie.mov; DSCN0164.jpg).
Now plug the flash drive into the iPad using the camera connection kit. Open the Photos app, the movie/photo files should appear & you can import. (You can not export using the camera connection kit.)

IPhoto books in iPhoto - The new Photos program only has square photo books. Will I be able to edit/order books with iPhoto after I upgrade to Photos?

I have many photo books created in iPhoto. These are rectangular shaped. The new Photos program only has square shaped books. After I upgrade to Photos, will I still be able to order books using iPhoto? Or, will Photos allow me to edit books in their original rectangle shape, and order them?

The new Photos.app will have the classic rectangular sizes as well.

It only mentions the new square format, but the classic layouts are there as well, as the picture shows.
But you may not be able to migrate the old book projects. Finish any current book project while still using iPhoto '11 and create new projects in Photos.

How to only transfer some photos to ipad from mac

I only want to take some the photo off my mac and put them on the ipad how is that done?

If you are on iTunes 11 on your Mac then you may want to re-enable the left-hand sidebar via View > Show Sidebar (option-command-S on a Mac), which might make it easier to navigate and my instructions may make more sense.
To sync photos, connect and select your iPad on the left-hand side of your computer's iTunes, and on the right-hand side there should be a series of tabs, one of which should be Photos - if you select that tab you can then select which photo folders/albums to sync to the iPad. There is a bit more info on this page. You will need to sync all the photos that you want on the iPad together in one go as only the most recent photo sync remains on the iPad - synced photos can't be deleted directly on the iPad, instead they are deleted by not including them in the next photo sync.

IPhoto only recognizing SOME photos from iPhone

Hello all. Whenever I try to sync my iPhone with iPhoto, the normal photos taken on the camera show up and are ready to be synced. However, photos that I have taken DIRECTLY into a facebook post, tweet, or MMS message do not show up, even though they are in the camera roll on iPhone. In iPhoto an outlined square shows up in it's place. Any help?
By the way, I'm using iPhoto 8.1.2, iPhone 4 4.0.2, Snow Leopard 10.6.4

My phone no longer updates photos which I take automotically and the settings have not changed. I've also deleted many photos in my photostream so there's definitely enough room. My phone and laptop are also connected to wifi and icloud is on.. Can't figure out why this isn't working..

You might have to go to Settings>iCloud and turn photo stream off, then back on to get it working again. To avoid losing any photos in the process, open your my photo stream album, tap Edit, tap the photos you want to keep, tap Share, tap Save to Camera Roll. When you turn photo stream back on, you will only get photos added in the last 30 days. Older photos are removed from your photo stream (even though they will remain on your device until deleted or you turn photo stream off).
Also, photos are only added to photo stream when you are connected to wifi, the camera app is closed and you have at least 20% battery life remaining.

Realistically, you can't get rid of either photo if you want to use photo stream. If you delete it from the camera roll, photo stream only keeps your photos for 30 days and so you will eventually lose it from there too. If you delete it from photo stream it will not sync to your other devices and there is little point in turning photo stream on.

Can I refresh photo stream to backup old photos to icloud?

There must be an easier way to transfer keepsakes from an old phone to new. I've had a 4s for nearly 2 years and upgraded to the 5. I understand photo stream only backs up photos that are 30 days old, so what can be done to keep all of them? It doesn't make sense that you'll store my 2 year old contacts, but not the photos that I've chosen to save. I guess a trip to the apple store is in my future!

An easy way to transfer your photos is through Dropbox. Download Dropbox from the App Store. This will save ALL of the photos from your device. (I recommend doing so over wifi depending on how many photos your have). Once this has downloaded, download the DropBox app onto your new device. Your photos will all be there for you.

Why won't name change on some photos take?

I am trying to change the names on photos in a photo album. Sometimes the name change takes, but other times, after changing the name, after a few seconds, the name changes back to the previous one. Why is this happening only on some photos and not others and how can I stop it?

As a Test:
Hold down the option (or alt) key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'
Import a few pics into this new, blank library. Is the Problem repeated there?

Do you have a filter enabled? Anything other than Showing All in the search field?
