Photo stream pics lost after ios8 upgrade

Afather upgrading to IOS 8 I lost all my photo stream pics. I checked on the cloud where I was advised they would be and they aren't there. Also, keep getting "uploading 1 photo" and screen shot doesn't work anymore.

Have a look at this support document:   My Photo Stream FAQ - Apple Support  http://support.apple.com/HT201317
It says:
How many photos are stored in My Photo Stream on my devices and computers?
iCloud pushes all your photos to the Recently Added album or My Photo Stream album on your devices and computers, and manages them efficiently, so you don’t run out of storage space.
Your iOS devices keep a rolling collection of your last 1000 photos in the Photos tab (or My Photo Stream album in iOS 7). From there, you can browse your recent photos or move the ones you like to another album to keep them on your device forever.
The photos will stay, if you import them to albums.
However, I could have sworn that they were all in albums in my iPhoto that were imported.
Are you talking about iPhoto on your iPhone/iPad or iPhoto on your Mac? YourMac will keep photos, that have been imported to events.
Your if albums in iPhoto iOS should have been migrated to photos. Did you migrate your iOS iPhoto Library?

Lately I've been importing photos from my iPhone to iPhoto and when I attempt to edit them they seem to disappear.  Some reappper as a photo stream pic (some as the edited version and some not).  But they no longer appear as a recent import.  Lots more happens and I'm wondering if it's because I have a 5-year old Mac book or iPhoto is having issues.  I'm not happy with disappearing photos especially after I've deleted them from my iphone after importing them to my macbook.
Has anyone experienced similar difficulties and what can I do?

Remember: we cannot see your machine. There are 9 different versions of iPhoto and they run on 8 different versions of the Operating System. The tricks and tips for dealing with issues vary depending on the version of iPhoto and the version of the OS.  So to get help you need to give as much information as you can. Basic things like :
    - What version of iPhoto.
    - What version of the Operating System.
    - Details. As full a description of the problem as you can. For instance: 'iPhoto won't export' is best explained by describing how you are trying to export, and so on.
    - History: Is this going on long? Has anything been installed or deleted?
    - Are there error messages?
    - What steps have you tried already to solve the issue.
    - Anything unusual about your set up? Or how you use iPhoto?
Anything else you can think of that might help someone understand the problem you have.

  • After IOS8 upgrade IPhone5s syncs with exchange but IPad2 syncs ONLY Mail and Contacts, NOT Calendar.  Totally stumped. Ideas anyone?

After IOS8 upgrade IPhone5s syncs with exchange but IPad2 syncs ONLY Mail and Contacts, NOT Calendar.
Also, my other tablet - Samsung TabS - has same issue - calendar wont sync. My IPhone and my desktop (windows) synch just fine.
Google calendar syncs on all devices. Totally stumped. Ideas anyone?
    THANKS

    1.      Log onto Outlook Web Access
    2.      Top right hand part of the screen select "Options"
    3.     Select "See All Options"
    4.      Select "Phone" menu
Check if you have 10 Devices registered.
If you have, you need to delete one of them to add your new Smart Phone to Exchange for synching
Check the "Last Sync Time" to indicate if this device is still active or not.

  • Faces in Photos showed up blank after the upgrades

Faces in Photos showed up blank after the upgrades (no labeled faces at all) with the suggested faces mostly full of 100's of blank white circles. I used to have about 50 faces labeled with about 2500 photos. Now I have no labeled faces on top of page (completely blank) and only 9 face suggestions on the bottom. Photos also runs very slowly compared to iPhoto. I tried re-installing and re-upgrading and have gotten the same results. I'm using a Mac Pro (2009), OS 10.10.3, 2.66 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon, 16 GB 1066 MHz DDR3 ECC, 7 GB storage. Any help will be appreciated and even if I have to delete the Face's database and start all over, where do I find that database or file to delete?

    1. Copy and paste is a very good way of moving chunks of text around, however, it's not really good for moving a Library containing many thousands of files. Drag and Drop is rather more reliable.
it comes up with a black circle and a "!" image.
    2. The ! turns up when iPhoto loses the connection between the thumbnail in the iPhoto Window and the file it represents.
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPad?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after the iPad shuts down, then press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds). Ignore the "Slide to power off".

  • Photos missing after IOS8 upgrade

After upgrading to IOS8 some of my photos have been removed.
They are not in the new collections location an not in my iCloud account.
Luckily i still have one device on IOS7 where i can see the photo stream and the photos are still there but for some bizarre reason Apple has removed them from all my IOS8 devices.
If any one could help on how i can see these on my IOS 8 device it would be much appreciated.
Apple you have really screwed up on this last release, my faith in IOS is diminishing more and more with unexpected unexplained major changes that are forced on us.

    Read this, should help.

  • Photo stream not working after upgrading to maverick please help?

have upgraded to Maverick from osx lion
    sooo much trouble ......memory low
    photo stream not working
    everything slow
    any ideas?

On your Mac disable Photo Stream in the System/iCloud preference pane
and in iPhoto's Photo Share preference pane.
Reboot and reenable both respectively. That should jump start Photo Stream.

  • IPad apps can't access photos after iOS8 upgrade

I've got a number of apps on my iPad that used to be able to access the photos in my iPad Photos app but no longer can access them.  I checked under Privacy > Photos that they are enabled and I went to General > Restrictions and made sure all restrictions are off.  I changed nothing after the upgrade and all the apps could access photos before the upgrade.

Hold down ⌥ and ⌘ whilst launching photos and try repairing the library.

  • Cannot stream video after iOS8 upgrade

My iPad Mini no longer streams video after I upgraded to iOS 8. This includes Facebook videos, Youtube app, HBO Go app, Amazon on Demand app, Safari or Chrome. If I switch to either laptop or my iphone which runs iOS7, I have no troubles streaming any video.

THe same situation on my iPad Air. For a short time helps hard reset but it is very frustrating...

  • Missing photostream pictures after ios8 upgrade!

I just upgraded from Ios7 to ios8 on my iPhone 5 and many of my photostream pictures just disappeared!!!! These pictures mean a lot to me. Why did you guys not check this bug!? How do I get those pictures back?
To those who insist that photo stream just stores pictures up to 30-day old. I assure you prior to the ios8 upgrade, I had pictures in the photostream folder that were older than 30 days.
I am sure many have such a problem. Apple needs to fix this to avoid a huge backlash. This is teh

iOS 8 changes how it organizes photos.  So make sure you look for the pictures first, they may not have disappeared.  Just moved.
iOS 8 does away with the Camera Roll and My Photostream folders.  Now, all photos are merged into the Collections section.  Any pictures recent taken/saved/synced with Photostream appear in the Recently Added folder in the Folder view.  This is a shortcut to the same photo in Collections, like any album on the iPhone.  From what I understand, they will stay in Recently Added for 30 days before disappearing, though the actual photo is still in Collections.  Hence, any photo you have from Photostream that are older than 30 days should be in Collections.  This is what I found when I panicked.
As to Photostream holding photos, Apple changed how it worked ages ago.  Photostream now stores the most recent 1000 photos in a First In, First Out method.  They will stay there indefinitely until more than 1000 photos are in the stream, then the oldest ones delete to make room.  If you use Photostream on your computer (iPhoto/Photos on Mac, iCloud Photos on PC), the pics will stay there even if older ones delete.
Now if you check Collections and still cannot find the photos, then check other Apple Devices or your computer.  If not there, then contact AppleCare.

  • Photo stream stopped working after update

Installed the 6.0.1 update on my 4s and all of a sudden Photostream stopped working. It did work for two or three days after the update but then stopped. The iCloud panel on my pc is grayed out. The phone itself has everything regarding Photostream turned on. Any suggestions besides restarting Photostream and losing the photos already in there? I am running Windows 8 on the PC...(Piece of CR*P)

You have probably enabled iCloud Drive on one of your mobile devices after upgrading to iOS 8. Then "documents in the cloud" will no longer work. Unfortunately, the upgrade to iCloud Drive cannot be undone. You'll have to wait for Yosemite.
See this link: Be aware, be careful, be prepared for iCloud Drive | TUAW: Apple news, reviews and how-tos since 2004
    And this:  iCloud Drive FAQ
While you are waiting for the Yosemite release you could sync your iWork documents with Dropbox.
    As to My Photo Stream:
The new Photos.app stores the photos differently. There is no longer a Camera Roll, and My Photo Stream is no longer visible as a separate album. You will find the Photo Stream photos in the "Recently Added" album.
See this Help text on how to access the Photos in iOS 8:
