Photo stream problem

HI I've just had an iPhone 5 and everything has transferred from my iPad all the Apps ,reminders ,contacts etc. apart from all my photographs.Everything is turned on on both devices and backed up to the icloud.Unfortunately I can't get the icloud control panel on my PC as I'm running Windows XP.Can anyone help as I'm stuck now ?

Import the photos from your iPad to your computer as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083.  Then put them in a folder and sync them to your phone from the Photos tab of your iTunes sync settings.
(Photos from an iPad will not be restored to an iPhone if you restore the phone from the backup of your iPad, if that's what you did.  Photos can only be restored from an iPad backup to another iPad.)

  • ICloud photo stream problem

Hi all - I really need your help.
My iPhoto '11 was working just fine until I upgraded it to 9.4.3.  I also just installed the recent system upgrade.  Now I am having multiple problems. It seems to stem from Photo Stream.  Activity Monitor shows that Photo Stream is using up gobs of CPU which is strange since it is supposed to not be working...
In iPhoto, under the preferences, it shows that Photo Stream is not enabled.  If I check the box to turn it on, it just unchecks itself just as quickly.  But in the system preferences, it shows that Photo Stream is set up just fine.  Photo Stream is certainly not working.  And it seem to be totally screwing up iPhoto.  I have tried multiple iPhoto fix options (option alt fixes, restoring a backup library, uninstalling then reinstalling iPhoto) with no improvement.
I'm not sure if the problem is coming from iPhoto or iCloud Photo Stream problems.  I am running OSX 10.8.4 on a 3.4 GHz Intel Core i7.
Can anyone tell me what to do?  Thank you so much!

Well Old Toad, I am stumped.
I double checked and logged out of iCloud in both user accounts and made sure that PS was not enabled on either library.  Then I restarted the computer.  I went back to my main user account (second account set up = non administrator account) and to my main iPhoto library, logged into iCloud, tried turing on PS = did not work.
If I do the exact same thing as above for a restore of a backup of my library = does not work.
If I do the exact same thing above but log in with my first account (not my main one but it is the admin account on the computer) and access the test library I created = PS works just fine with no problem.
It seems the problem with PS is limited to my primanry account (non-admin).  Do you think the admin privaledges difference between the two accounts could be the problem...?
As always, I am thankful for your time and advice.

  • Resetting Photo Stream Problem

I have problem resetting my photo stream on iCloud. Cant find the advance option under my email account it was replace by notification option. Any idea where can I find the advance option under iCloud.com

Interesting... I don't see it either.  I know it used to be there, because I've used it before.
It would seem this article, http://support.apple.com/kb/PH2607 , is no longer accurate.  Or, it's been temporarly disabled for some reason.

  • Shared Photo Stream problem

I have setup a couple of shared photostreams and these have been accessed ok by my wife on her iPad.  However my Mother is getting "Cannot find photo stream details.  This photo stream may have been changed or deleted" when she tries.  After publishing I did add and remove some photos but surely this would not cause such a problem.
I have searched everywhere for mention of this error text but cannot find a single reference.  Anyone else had this problem?

Same problem here. Others were able to get on the stream, I even remoted into my mothers computer and checked all the settings and they were correct. Anyone have any ideas?

  • My Photo Stream problem

What is happening is that I cannot even see the "My Photo Stream" as an option in my photos on my ipad. It used to be there but disappeared after the ios 8 update. I have tried everything. Any help?

    Hi atoporo,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities
I understand that noticed your My Photo Stream is missing after updating to iOS 8. It sounds like you have have enabled iCloud Photo Library beta. If this is the case, your photos may be managed a little bit differently than you are use to. Please read over the attached article for more information.
iCloud Photo Library beta FAQ - Apple Support
What happened to the My Photo Stream and Camera Roll albums?
The Camera Roll and My Photo Stream album are replaced with an All Photos album, which gives you the same compact scroll view, now with all your photos and videos organized by the date they were added. Learn more about finding photos in iOS 8.
After you enable iCloud Photo Library, all your original photos and videos are organized in one library. My Photo Stream will upload recent photos to share with your other devices, but iCloud Photo Library stores your originals. See how to upload originals below.

  • IPad 2 Photo-stream problem

Both my wife and myself have iPhones also a mac at home and now an iPad2. We have photostream set up on all devices and they all share photos with the same account with no problems. I do this because any photos i wish to keep i then drag straight over to Aperture on my iMac. The problem is the iPad 2 is not displaying the photos, i take a picture on the ipad it goes into camera roll but not photostream. A few seconds after, the picture turns up on all other devices as it should do. If i reset the ipad2 or turn and delete the account then enter details again the pictures from all devices turn up again in photostream but as soon as you go out of photos and then back into it they have all disaperead. All account info is correct passwords etc but it just will not display.

Tried that and did not fix, however after messing about found the problem its a software bug  i hopefully will explain. The icloud streams to the iPad, iMac and two iphones using one account at [email protected] My wife also has iMessage setup using her personal email address that is her apple Id also, we turned iMessage off and for some reson it now all works perfectly. There is something in there with accounts that will cause the bug, i did switch imessage back on and again the problem come back. Many thanks for your help Carolyn have a happy new year.

  • HT201077 I tried to open a photo stream on my mac that my daughter sent me. It says open or ignore, I click on open and it says that there is a problem to try again later. It opens just fine on my IPAD.

I upgraded to mountain lion on my Mac mini then I tried to open a photo stream from my daughter. It tries then says there is a problem and to try again later. I have Been trying for the past two days and get the same reply. It opens in my IPAD so why won't it open on the mini Mac ?

You turn on Photo Stream in iPhoto's Photo Stream preference pane:
Check the box "Automatic Upload" to add every photo imported into the library to the Photo Stream.  Or leave it unchecked and manually add just selected photos to the stream by dragging them onto the Photo Stream heading in the left hand pane.

  • Can anyone help me. Every time I open iPhoto 9.2 and try to go to photo stream iPhoto quits unexpectedly.  When I reopen I get "iPhoto has detected inconsistencies in your library.  Please click Repair to avoid any potential problems."

Can anyone help me.  I have iPhoto 9.2 and  Mac OS X 10.7.2.
Every time I open iPhoto 9.2 and try to go to photo stream iPhoto quits unexpectedly.  When I reopen I get "iPhoto has detected inconsistencies in your library.  Please click Repair to avoid any potential problems."
I have read plenty of the posts on the subject and it seems that deleting the "3ivx" fixed the problem.  I looked at the detaied reports and see where it says "
    Library/Application Support/3ivx" etc..
On my report it says "/Library/Application Support/iLifeMediaBrowser/*/iLMBiPhoto8Plugin".  Does this help with an answer?

I am also having this crashing problem. I am running lion on a 2010 mac mini. My iPhoto library is kept on an external drive. I just upgraded to iPhoto 11 and everytime I try to enable photo stream the app crashes. I have tried all the above suggestions, including re-installing iphoto from the Mac App store. Below are the first 50 lines of the error message. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Sync-problem with 'my photo stream' between iPhone (IOS) and PC (Win7)

    Hi all,
I have a problem with the automatic sync of "my photo stream".
My photo steam on my IOS device contains 52 photos.
On my Windows computer there are only 43 photos available.
There is no logic behind the missing photos.
I took 2 more photos to test the stream. After I took the photos I've 54 photos in my album. 2 min later the upload seems to be completed because on my IOS device I've 54 photos.
I've waited for over 2 hours now and on my Windows computer there are still 43 photos. So the new ones are missing beside some missing photos in between!
    What I've already done:
    # re-install iCould on Windows computer
    # reset iPhone to factory defaults
    # several shutdown and reboots of all devices
maybe someone can help me with that problem!
    thanks in advance!
    cheers
    max

I tried the sign-out/reboot/sign-in and now it's stranger than before.
On my iPhone I have 79 pictures in 'my photo stream'.
On my PC I have 24 randomly picked photos in 'my photo stream'.
    IMG_0001.JPG, IMG_0002.JPG, IMG_0003.JPG, IMG_0004.JPG, IMG_0005.JPG, IMG_0006.JPG, IMG_0007.JPG, IMG_0008.JPG, IMG_0009.JPG, IMG_0010.JPG, IMG_0011.JPG, IMG_0012.JPG, IMG_0013.JPG, IMG_0014.JPG, IMG_0015.JPG, IMG_0017.JPG, IMG_0022.JPG, IMG_0023.JPG, IMG_0028.JPG, IMG_0029.JPG, IMG_0030.JPG, IMG_0035.JPG, IMG_0041.JPG, IMG_0049.JPG
Something very strange is happening here...

  • Problem with my photo stream

I connected an iPad that is not mine so I import the photos in it to my external hard drive. My iTunes asked me if I set it as a new iPad or restore from this backup and I chose set as new iPad and it started syncing and I tried to cancel it.
Now the problem is I imported the pictures in the camera roll but when I clicked iCloud on the side bar the iPhoto the iPad photo stream and other photos  showed I want to stop and for your information the iPad Apple ID and iCloud are not the same as mine how are the the iPad photo stream got into my mbp ?? I want to stop it without stopping the feature of photo stream in either my mbp and the iPad. And i don't want my laptop to consider this iPad as one of my devices despite i clicked "set as new iPad"

Is there some way to delete and then reset a file for My Photo Stream?
    David,
the "My Photo Stream" and "Shared Photo Streams" live in you User Library:
    in the folder
    ~/Library/Application Support/iLifeAssetManagement/assets/
My PhotoStream is in the folder ~/Library/Application Support/iLifeAssetManagement/assets/sub
the shared streams are in ~/Library/Application Support/iLifeAssetManagement/assets/sub-shared
    the journals in ~/Library/Application Support/iLifeAssetManagement/assets/sub/pub
I'd recommend you check the permissions on the "sub" folder, and also check if the pictures are there, that should be there.
Also check the permissions on the ILifeAssetManagement.db file, to see if it is writeable.
Your User Library is hidden by default. You can reveal it from the Finder's "Go" menu: click "GO" and hold down the "options" key, until the Library appears in the  drop-down menu.

    Léonie

  • Problem with downloading photo from iCloud to iPhone's Photo Stream

    Hi Apple Support,
I have two apple device, one iPad and one iPhone. For iPad, I turned on 'My Photo Stream' and 'Shared Photo Streams' function before, but iPhone not, and I installed iCloud client at my Win7 PC, so any photos which created by iPad will upload to iCloud and iCould will post them to my Win7 PC, it's perfect!
But.. Here is the problem, I turned on 'My Photo Stream' and 'Shared Photo Streams' function at my iPhone now as well, however the previously photos which created by iPad cannot download to my iPhone's 'Photo Stream', thats mean I cannot download any old photo from iCloud to iPhone's Phone Stream, can I know is this a problem or not? Thanks!
AFAIK, Microsoft's Skydrive could download any files from cloud to end user's device, cant Apple make it as well?

Photo stream photos only remain in iCloud for 30 days, even though a rolling collection of up to 1000 photos will remain on your devices until deleted.  When you enabled photo stream on your phone you would have only received photos added to photo stream in the last 30 days, as older photos are no longer in iCloud.
If you want to get your older photos from your iPad to your iPhone, you can either import them to your computer and sync them to your phone, or use an app like PhotoSync or Bump to transfer them.
