Photo stream was turned off on phone now phone water damaged have i lost my pictures
my toddler has put my phone in a cup of tea, I thought that I had linked up my phone and computer and it seems my iPhone pictures have not been updated on here what can I do?

You will need to do that by syncing them with a computer and then syncing the computer with the iPad.

The problem is your friend's music does not belong to you. It is owned by your friend.
I'm afraid you cannot do what you are trying to do. Restoring the iPhone is what you would have to do.
In the future, put your music on the computer and transfer it to the iPhone, not the other way. -
Will turning off My Photo Stream also turn off iCloud Photo Sharing?
I don't like the new Photos app in iOS 8. I was a frequent user of the iPhoto app and am sad to see it go. It was the best app I found for quick white balance fixes (you could point to skin on a picture and it set the white balance appropriately). It was also great for seeing EXIF data, location data, and for sending photos to other editing apps. The Photos app has limited support for sending to other editing apps, actually it doesn't send photos to any of the editing apps. It also does not readily display photo informations. The edits in the Photo app leave something to be desired (since it meant the demise of iPhoto). I am also not a fan of how camera roll and Photo Stream are meshed together. My family uses the iPhoto desktop app which is tied to my Photo Steam. In iOS 7 it was easy to just ignore the Photo Stream since it would include everyone's photos and work on my camera roll, but now it's a cluttered mess.
Since I have a subscription to Adobe Lightroom there is no need for the Photo Stream backup, so I am tempted to turn My Photo Stream off. As indicated in the title, I would like to know if turning off My Photo Stream will also delete photos I've shared in iCloud with other users. I would like those photos to stay and the ability to share photos going forward. Since My Photo Stream and sharing on iCloud are two different options in Setting, I assume that turning one off won't affect the other. Can anyone verify?Save your photo stream photos to your camera roll by opening your my photo stream album, tapping Select, tapping the photos, tap the share icon (box with upward facing arrow), then tapping Save to Camera Roll. Then you can delete them from photo stream and the copies in the camera roll will remain on your phone. Note: deleting them from photo stream will delete them from iCloud and all your devices.

We are are updating iPads to iOS 7 in our fifth grade. We have turned off photo stream and shared photo stream with a profile in Apple Configurator that gets applied to every ipad. We also are using Casper as our mdm and have turned it off on the Casper side also, yet when we go to turn on iCloud we have noticed that all of the photos in photo stream start downloading and saving to the device. Is this a bug in iOS 7?
We turn on iCloud to have find my ipad enabled. And the options for turning off photo stream are gone from the pictures & camera part of the settings which I'm guessing A/C took those off.
In the meantime we are telling kids to delete the pictures from their devices but we would like to figure this problem out going forward.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!reading up on photostream, looks like re-enabling was a mistake, as photos taken after enabling photostream are uploaded, while older photos are not. I therefore cannot test a fix. I read that restarting photo or camera app mayfix the issue?

My Photo Stream keeps turning off in my iCloud Control Panel on my Windows 7 PC.
I have an HP Pavilion g6 and it runs on Windows 7. iCloud is already set up on it, as well as on my iPhone, but when I go to use the computer, I find the Photo Stream turned off (I am still logged into iCloud Control Panel.)

I only use iPhoto when I want to make a greeting or post card. I just opened iPhoto and clicked on Photo Stream (on the left) and it asks if I want to turn it on. I just noticed that there is a option to click that says "No Thanks". I never turned Photo Stream on in iPhoto, but never said no thanks either. After clicking the "No Thanks" button, Photo Stream disappears from the left. Maybe that will solve the problem. I will need to give it some time to see, because it does not happen right away.

Photo Stream keeps turning off in Aperture
I have Aperture 3.2 and have enabled Photo Stream, several times. It syncs all of my photos with my iPhone 4 and imports the new ones in a project. I close Aperture and reopen it several days later, go to the Photo Stream library and Photo Stream is asking if I want to turn Photo Stream on. All of the pictures are gone. I turn it back on and it spends the better part of a hour updating. I am using a newer MacBook Pro and sometime I power it completely down if it will be in the case for awhile. When this happens I have checked the iCloud settings in the System Preferences and Photo Stream is checked. Anyone else haveing this problem? I seen some people are having the same trouble with iPhoto.

My iphone has turned off and is now not working. I plugged it into my computer and it said it was in recovery mode and i had to restore it to fix it. Is there any way i can fix this problem without loosing all my files and photos through restoring it?
There's only one thing you can do: make an appointment with Apple genius at the Apple retail store for a out of warranty replacement.

Replaced where? If it was done by anyone other than Apple the warranty has been voided.
Regardless, the screen replacement was obviously not successful. Take the device back to whomever replaced the screen and address the issue with them. -
Shared Photo Streams – frequently turning on & off during international travel?

I have an Iphone 5 (IOS7) as well as a newer Ipad and Macbook Pro. I use several shared photo streams, some of which I am the “host/share” and others for which I am a “member.”
I will be traveling internationally with Iphone and a reasonable cellular data plan; I will have Wi-Fi in my hotel. I want to be conscious of international cellular data usage. Ideally, I would like to turn off photosharing unless I am on Wi-Fi since the number of shared photos and videos (posted by others) can use a lot of data. I imagine there are numerous complications with doing this.
When I turn off sharing for my device, I assume that all the shared pictures on my device will disappear.
When I turn sharing back on for my device, I assume that all (or a subset) of the shared pictures on my device will re-download to the device (including the specific streams that I host/share?).
I have photo sharing turned on for my other Apple devices that will remain in the US. If I turn off photo sharing on my phone, will the streams I share (“host”) disappear on my friends/family devices? Although I use my phone for 100% of the actual photo sharing activities, having photo sharing turned on via other devices with the same Apple ID should keep the stream alive-and-well for my friends/family?
The heart of this question is whether the act of “hosting” a photo stream is more device or Apple ID specific (or something else).
I appreciate any thoughts on my assumptions above.
Ideally, I am really looking to put photo sharing on “pause” or a type of “airplane mode” whenever I am using international cellular data and could then download any new photo sharing updates whenever I happen to be on WiFi. But I am thinking that this is just not the way it was designed. Given the all the complications above, is my best option to just turn photosharing off for the whole trip and then turn it on afterwards? It would seem that frequently downloading the photo stream contents each time I turn photo sharing back on (when on WiFi) would be a pain.

I am going to Canada tomorrow and called ATT to see how to proceed with using my iPhone up there. The (very nice, by the way) support person told me basically NOT USE IT AT ALL! I am willing to accept roaming charges on phone use which is all I really need but the problem is that anytime the phone is on, it may (or may not) be looking for a network and may (or may not) send data. So, even if I didn't use any Wifi or Edge features, and even if I go to use say a public Wifi network, I may still get hit with pretty big charges.
I am not usually one to complain but you know what....THAT'S INSANE!
This was not all all clear in any of the research that I did before the purchase. I still love using the iPhone but I was told that if I am EVER outside the 50 states, don't use it at all. Not as a phone, not as an internet device, not nothing.
If I am wrong, please let me know but it seems pretty crazy that you can't use your phone like other phones outside of the continental US. -

That is so dumb...Apple is the best and most techinological company IN THE WORLD and they don't have the time to invent something like that? HUH? All they are worried about is making the "Worlds best Phone" and they can't take the time out to help their users or anybody that has their products. All they have is "Find mt Iphone" Well they should step up and do something else to help people like me out. Find a way to turn it on and you can find it or find a way to turn it on remotely.

How can i see text messages people sent from when my phone was turned off?
i was abroad for the past 3 months, and my phone was turned off (NOT deactivated). when i got back i received one text from 5 minutes before i had turned the phone on. I know for a fact that i should have received numerous texts/picture messages, etc. Is it too late to receive these in some way? There are also voicemails but i can accept that these are gone forever. Are pending texts/ whatever deleted after a certain amount of time?
If the text message is not able to be delivered for 5 days, it is deleted - so only the most recent days would be coming when when you turned the phone back on. New voicemails would be saved until the mailbox is full, I would think.

I have an ipad mini that won't power on. It was turned off to charge overnight. In the morning it was warm and now won't turn on no matter what I do. I've tried resetting using the power / home button combination and nothing works.
If you have owned the device, as in purchased from Apple, less than a year then there will be no charge to repair, or most likely, replace the device. If you have had the device more than a year you will be charged an out of warranty cost for replacement ($219 I think) and that is much cheaper than a new device. If you have Applecare+ then you have an additional year of coverage and the replacement will be $49 or $79 depending on when you got the Applecare.
