Photo subject cut off in Apple TV

I use Adobe Photoshop to manage my photos before having them sync'd to Apple TV. In many cases the subject of the photo is cut off (heads, etc) when i display them via Apple TV. Yet in screen saver mode they display just fine.
Would this having anything to do with cropping photos in Photoshop and changing their size ?

On the other hand, someone else was complaining that files were sometimes rotated incorrectly possibly based on info embedded in the file by the original camera. Am now wondering if any of these photos were rotated in Photoshop and TV is scaling incorrectly based on embedded info rather than physical orientation as modified in Photoshop. Could you check on this?

Why are my photos getting cut off in IOS 7?

Hey does anyone have this similar problem that I am experiencing with the IOS 7 update. I have quite a bit of manga on my ipad and prior to the update, the photo would scale perfectly on ios 6 without any use of recroping or resizing meaning that I use the original sacling of the picture but with the recent update, I have noticed that the photos are enlarged and the scaling is off the point where the text bubbles at the top,side and bottom portion of the photo are cut off. This also only occurs in the portrait rotation and this never happened before in iso 6. Just to clarify, this is not for wallpaper setting but rather reading manga through the photo tab. I would like to keep the original scaling as it was never a problem on ios 6 but I was wondering if anyone has a solution for this or is it just a bug that I have to wait for apple to patch through. If you haven't already done so clearing caches and disabling the "Allow simultaneous downloads" option in the downloads window may help.

Please Help...My photos are cut off in my slideshow

I am making a slideshow using IMovie. I am using photos from IPhoto. When I drag them to the strip and then play my show, many of the photos are cut off. You can't see the whole photo. Example, my daughter is on a balance beam and you can only see her legs and the beam. Any suggestions on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated. Do I need to adjust all of my photo sizes? (Hope not, this slideshow has hundreds of pictures) Do I need to adjust something with the slideshow?

You can either set the Project Preference to automatically use the "Fit" option when new images are added to a project. However, to change the rest of the images already added, you would have to select the image you already corrected, press Command-C to copy the information to temporary memory, select all other images, and then use the "Paste Adjustments > Crop" Edit menu setting to copy the current "Crop" setting to all selected images at once.
BTW-what is Kens Burns?
It adds a "motion" effect to still images. I.e., you can select a start and stop scaled/position view and the application will interpolate "in between frames" to create the motion effect.

I suggest that you try unchecking both of the crop options - landscape & portrait.
To re-create your situation, I had to check the crop for landscape pictures option.
I prefer to have control over any cropping so I tend to crop each image first before creating the slide show.

Photo count is off using apple tv

I have 99 photos in mt project file in aperture. Apple tv only shows 83 and displays 83 photos. Anyone have this issue?

Most Iphone photos are cut off when using any app (ie CVS, Shutterfly etc). Is there any way to prevent this?

From what I've read cut off photos are due to iPhone not being 3:2 ratio, but what can I do to fix this? I take all of my photos on my iPhone and printing them out is ALWAYS a disappointment and I feel like my pictures are useless.

If you go to Walmart they have a specific app to print your photos from your iPhone.
Also with other stores they have good systems to print out photos from smart phones and iPhones now a days. And yes by official kiosk I meant any store with a photo printing machine, because if you print at home, size adjustments and all that are very complicated...unless you are like a professional perhaps...

Making a slideshow - top of photos being cut off

I've been trying to make a slideshow with some of my photos being in Portait mode as against Panorama and when reviewing
my slide show the top of the photo is being cut off. This appears to be for only those that are in Portrai mode.
Does anyone know how I can overcome this annoying aspect?

Make sure the slideshow setting isn't set to scale photos to fill screen.
That will create black areas on each side of the portrait photos but will not cut off the top and bottom.

When i print my edited photos in a 4x6 or smaller parts of photo get cut off how do i fix this?

I have my edited photos burned to a disc in jpeg file...when printed in 4x6 or smaller they get cut off...it acts as if my photo is too big for a 4x6 or smaller...how do i fix this? its for my photography business and when i give my customers the rights to the photos on disc they are upset they can not print 4x6 or smaller

I am trying to print a 6x4 photo with my HP Photosmart B8550. Everytime I go to print it, it cuts off part of the picture. I created the picture in Photoshop at 6x4 and saved it as a jpg. In the preview it shows up fine but it is NOT right when it prints. Please advise.

Photosmart C310a - photo print cut off

I print 4x6 borderless pics from PC to the printer in the highest resoltion. The preview screen
always cuts off some of the edges when in borderless mode, but none when previewing with border.
Is there a way to directly fit the photo to the size of the photo paper without leaving out any part of the pic?

Vertical Pictures Cut Off in Photo Album Page

On my photo albums page, the picture I want to use as the first picture is a vertical picture. But on the albums page, the albums are all horizontal. So when someone goes to look at my albums page, they just see these cut-off pictures with heads missing. Is there a way to change the orientation of the albums so they are vertical? Or is there a way to edit the first picture so that you can move the picture down so at least the head is showing in the horizontal view?

the only solution I can find is to drop a vertical photo into the MyAlbums page and cover the album with it (thus hiding the other head-less photo) linking that photo to the photopage.
However this will cause the effects moving the pointer over the album cover (skim, dissolve, ...) to disappear.
As far as I know albums can't be rotated and vertical photos are cut off and you can't tell iWeb not to cut them off...

Select the photo. Then open the Rotate, Crop, Ken Burns Tool. Choose FIT.
This will give you the full portrait with black bars to the side, but no ken burns.
If you want the ken burns effect on vertically oriented photos without cutting off the heads and feet, iMovie 11 will do this.
In iMovie 09, you can do this, but you must first add black space to your photos using an external photo editing application. I have found an Automator Action called Pad Images that will do this very quickly.
It is kind of complicated, so upgrade to iMovie 11 if you do a lot of this.

Tops of Photos Cut Off in Slideshow

In a slideshow, when showing a photo that has been taken with a DSLR tilted 90 degrees (i.e., so that the long axis is vertical, such as for tall buildings), I cannot get the top of the photo to show. Even if I pull the photo down using the hand tool (with or without the Ken Burns Effect) the top of the photo is cut off. Is there something I am doing wrong or some trick, or is this a known issue with iPhoto 6.?

Thank you. I am still having trouble. Following the directions for "Setting Pan and Zoom in Slide Show" still doesn't get me what I want. I am supposed to push Burns effect then Start and place pointer/hand on screen to start shot. It asks me to drag to place I want to begin pan; then press End and drag to spot where I'd like to end. I have cropped photos so I do not use the zoom feature but when following instructions nothing happens or as in one instance I dragged to left edge of screen and wanted it to pan to right and then pressed End and dragged hand to right. The only thing that happened in Preview was a very slight movement up and down (not left to right).In another instance, Preview played two different pans over and over neither of which I had tried to create(!). I have also just tried to place hand on one end (no dragging) then clicked End and placed hand at destination...still no luck Also, when working on each photo a new slide show folder is created. I am unable to drop it into the original folder I am working with...so I am not able to use it. What am I not doing? Thank you

Hp envy 4502 cutting off tops of photos

When I try to print photos with my Envy 4502, the photos always are cut off at the top - anywhere from 3/4" to practically the entire photo. The results are never consistant as to how much of the photo is cut off, but it is ALWAYS cut off. I am using Corel Paint Shop Pro X6 (64-bit). I am using glossy photo paper (230gsm, 10 mil) and have tried custom setting the margins, which doesn't seem to have any affect. I set up the printer to photo paper, borderless off, and have tried using the best resolution and the normal resolution. Nothing seems to help. I am up to date with the driver and software for my printer and also for the Corel program. I sure hope you can help. I feel like I am wasting so much ink, which is so expensive that I can't afford to print out unacceptable prints.

When you explain the photo is cut-off, does it look like the photo is shifted, cropped or just missing? Pictures in slideshow and thumbnails are cut off

Hi!
I love that it's so easy to create a slideshow.
But I don't see a customizable option to not have my slideshow "fit to designated space".
I don't mind the thumbnails getting cut off (better than being resized a weird resolution) but when viewed in the slideshow, some of the people in the photos get cut off.
Is there a way to resolve this (rather than putting them all in photoshop and resize smaller so there's a border)?
