Photo suite 5.5

When I downloaded and installed this software , it automatically installed in LR3 and cs5 32 bit. My system is windows 7. The software plug-ins appear in 32 bit ,but not in 64 bit. I copied the plug-ins to the plug in folder under 64 bit , but when photoshop 64 bit opens the plug ins are not recognized. When I load plug-ins in lightroom 64 bit it automatically opens 32 bit photoshop.. Why can;t they go into 64 bit.

I just installed Yosemite on my MAC. My PhotoTools pro won't work. Says I need to upgrade to Perfect Photo suite. But THAT won't work unless I have CS6. I am now running CS5. Do I have to purchase the new one or can I pay the $9.99 month?

It also says I need 8 GB of RAM and I only have 4 GB. How do I get more and how much would I need to buy? I know nothing about Cloud either.

To expand, I have been using LR for over a year now and never had a problem until today. I am downloading from my card directly to my Macbook Pro. I'm not using a card reader, I'm using the Macbook card slot.

I performed the permissions repair in the disk utility and tired again and it still wouldn't import the test shots. Got the same error message. I created a new catalog for the wedding I have to shoot this weekend and that was the only thing I had done differently. I tried importing the test shots to an existing catalog and it imported them. I deleted the new catalog and created a new one and it allowed me to import my test shots. I don't have any answers as to why it worked but I appreciate your response.

IMac, Mavericks, Problem with Perfect Photo Suite 8,

their plug ins not showing in Lightroom 5. Their solution to install involved following: Path: Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support/Adobe/LightRoom/Modules, There is no Modules folder there, onOne tech support says there should be. Tried reinstall, did not solve problem.

PS - Lightroom officially supports installing plugins:
* Via 'Add' (in place) in the plugin manager.
* Via plugin installers (which know to create the 'Modules' folder if it does not already exist).
That said, it is possible (although not officially supported) to manually create the 'Modules' folder and put plugins in it..
This should shed some light on why the 'Modules' folder may not be there - i.e. if you've never created it yourself, nor run a plugin installer which creates it, it won't be there.
The other possibility: you've got the parent path wrong (fingers crossed).

Bug in photo library : all in low res (res of the viewer)

I have a strange bug, after having installed an app (Iris photo suite).
All my pics are now viewed in low res in the iphone (the res of the thumbnail !!). and impossible to delete the pics of the photo library.
I tried to shut of and restart the iphone, delete photos from the photo roll, sync, etc... nothing. I still have this thumbnail with low res. How to get rid of it ??

By the way, the developper was very clever. It's the 1st time he's ever heard of a bug like that, and Iris doesn't touch to datas like Apple's thumbnails.
It might come from a use this very low batterie.
But after deleting, resetting, re-sync, etc... Nothing changed. Excepted that I have recovered my original images by using CopyTrans. The originals were present. (cool!).
So i copied the originals on the PC, deleted with CopyTrans from the iPhone, restarted, etc... and the low res thumbnails is still there !!!!
I think I like go to an Apple Store. no way out of that...

XMP metadata for Photo Libraries

I demo lightroom at shows for Adobe and one of the constant gripes I get, and spend a long time trying to convince punters I have no answer for, is that Lightroom doesn't interact at all well with some of the software that photo libraries use. I have never had any exposure to such applications, but I recall one being called Photo Suite.
Apparently the problem is metadata captions do not travel well from Lightroom back to these Photo Library apps. So I have just had a load of photographers over the last few days come to me complaining that they have captioned images in Lightroom, but the captions have not been captured in such a way that they can be read by these library apps.
Can anybody make this happen for these people supplying photos to the libraries, because I feel that suppliers are a little hesitant to use Lightroom fully unless it improves. I can't shed much more light on it than this as I have no experience of any Photo Library software.

I'm not so sure that a lot of image libraries are prepared to ditch their library software. My understanding of it is that the photographers who have the library software - and there seems to be a number of them - are being forced to use the image library software by the image library they are submitting their shots to. If captions aren't being retained, then the shots they are submitting are being rejected by the libraries which is obviously causing a loss of income. Something that causes me a loss of income doesn't get used.
So, by the lack of communication and updating of captions between the apps, photographers are being held back, and I get the feeling the photographers would very much like to use LR and know it is without fail compatible with the image library software.
These captions and changes are apparently being recognised by PSCS3, but not lightroom, so where does the fault lie?

I would like to add text and draw on photos. Is this possible in iPhoto or is there an app? Thanks!

Best photo editor for mac?

I am looking for a comprehensive photo editor app.
I have downloaded FX Photo Studio Pro, but I am very unsatisfied: the actual editing tools are very limited.
I don't care about effects or frames: I need tools to reduce image size, select parts of an image, copy, paste, etc.

Ovi Suite 3.0.0.284 not installing updated applica...

Ovi suite doesn't install new updated apps in 5530

And for no reason it says "Ovi suite is busy" despite the fact that i am not doing anything. other sync services work good but updating apps doesn't work.

I have just received my new N8 which has an issue with the photo suite and have just downloaded the new OVI suite so I can update to the latest software.
However whenever I try to update the same Ovi suite busy please try later appears even though this is the only thing I'm doing on Ovi suite.
Please help as until I can update the software my brand new phone is just that a PHONE.

Photo's too big for sending

I have a blackberry Z10 which is getting better and better with each update, if only I had a an app for google and RBS I would be proper sorted.
One other annoyance is that I use the camera a lot for work items that need to be emailed to people and my last Blackberry did that very quickly because the pictures were of lowere quality.
But because the BB Z10 pictures are of high quality big files, I have to faff about with the photos reducing the size of them before sending, this takes up lots of valuable time.
I downloaded photo studio to do this, but really the smartphone camera should give me an option of what size to send before I click the button.
Is there an easy fix for this?

Lightroom 5.3 crashes when using Email Photo. This problem was documented in May 2013

When will Adobe fix this problem? I saw the first complaint on-line in May of 2013. When will Adobe publish a work-around? What's causing this problem?

Photo breaks up in Photoshop CC2014

Don't know what is happening. While working on a CR2 file in Photoshop CC 2014 (2.1) and launching it from the Camera Raw plug-in, the picture fills up with tiles of previous pictures I have worked on, or the picture breaks up into a repeated pattern. The cursor goes dead. I get the "blip" "blip" whenever I try to close the photo.
I keep having to quit and re-start Photoshop to get back to the picture. After 5-10 pictures, it does it again. Sometimes it just goes to all black after I mess with the cropping tool and try to rotate the photo.
Is it RAM problems?
Have an iMac (27 in. late 2012) 16 GB of RAM. 512 MB of VRAM. Tons of room in the 1 TB HD. Have the Photographer's Package of the Creative Cloud. All up to date.
Just installed Yosemite about a week ago. Not having any problems with anything else. Did get OnOne software's Perfect Photo Suite 9. Hope it's not that causing the glitch.
I am attaching a screen shot of the workspace. Maybe somebody is having this same problem?
Any help would be appreciated.

Chris Cox, it stopped doing it with the GPU turned off.
So now, Adobe just has to get with it. Get those drivers fixed. I got work to do!

Upgrade to Elements 10 did not enable my PerfectPhoto Suite 8 Plugins

I have been running Elements 10 with PerfectPhoto Suite 6 (started with the free version of PPS 4 that came with E10) for a couple of years in order to use the PPS6 plugins inside E10.
Last week I upgraded PPS6 tp PPS8. Everything worked without exception and all of the new PPS8 plugins were available under the E10 File/Automation menu item.
Yesterday I installed E12. During the installation it notified me that it had found the PPS8 plugins and would install/enable them. After the installation finished [without error] I noticed that the E12 File/Automation menu item was grayed out. However, under Help/About Plugins all of the PPS8 plugins were listed.
Here’s what I have tried so far:
(1) Installed Elements 12
> no automation tools in 12 but they were still visible and working in the old (10) version
(2) Uninstalled Perfect Photo Suite 8
(3) Uninstalled Elements 10 (leaving E12)
(4) Re-installed Perfect Photo Suite 8
> still no automation plugins in E12
Can anyone help me with this?

Sheesh. You won't believe how much time I have wasted on this issue. I exchanged probably 5 emails with customer service but was getting nowhere. After waiting nearly 30 minutes for tech support I finally was able to talk to a tech. The first thing he asked me was "Are you in Expert mode?" There are three modes across the top of the screen -- Quick, Guided and Expert. When first installed the editor opens in Quick mode. The File/Automation Tools menu item is only enabled when you are in Expert mode. Its just that easy.
Sheesh...What a waste of time...

Photo printing colour matching to older hp printer

I have a D7160 hp printer and have just acquired a C309a printer. The photos printed on the c309a have less vibrancy of colour and when printing mountain scenes have a distinct green cast. Compared to the same image printed on the D7160 the images look under exposed. Most of the photos I take are used as colour references when painting in oils - this is very disappointing as I know the photo in no way represents the image taken. Is there a way to colour correct or do I need a different ? Also, the software with this printer - "simple home print" function in no way compares to the photsmat premium 6.1 that came with the D7160. I am not a professional photographer but I have taken many courses. I need a "truer" colour match than I have been able to achieve. This printer and software don't appear to be sophisticated enough for my needs unless there is a way to correct these problems.

I'm sorry I can't help you, because I have a similar problem printing to an HP AIO 7410 from Corel Paint Shop Pro, or even Roxio Photo Suite. The colors on the screen do not match the colors on the prints. If I spend several hours per print, I'll eventuall get there, at a great cost in paper and ink.
How does one calibrate a monitor? How does an amateur calibrate a 7400 series printer?
Same problem, I think, as yours, but different hardware and software.
Maybe HP will start collecting complaints such as these and issue a simple step-by-step paper to help us out.
