Photo sync with iPad after iOS5 upgrade

Following upgrade to iOS5 lost all photos & folders on ipad1, folders on windows pc won't sync when ticking all folders, only if using choose folder, if you try to select another folder it first deletes the previously syncd folder. Any ideas?

You need to sync all the folders/albums that you want on the iPad together in one go, as only the most recent photo sync remains on the iPad. There is help on syncing photos on this page : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4236

  • Notes has stoped sync with icloud after I upgraded to 7.0.2?

Notes (on my iPhone and iPad) has stoped sync with icloud after I upgraded to 7.0.2. All others items like Contacts, Calendars, etc. are able to sync. any solutions.

Now iTunes won't open. It doesn't give me any error messages it just won't open the window.
some preliminary questions aimed at narrowing in on possible culprits.
    (1) do you have Norton Internet Security 2005 installed on the PC?
    (2) try launching your QuickTime. does it:
    (a) launch perfectly fine?
    (b) fail to launch with an error message? (if so, what does it say?)
    (c) exhibit other peculiar behavior? (if so, could you describe it for us?)
    (3) reboot the PC. bring up your Task Manager, and click on the "Processes" tab. now try to launch itunes again.
does an "itunes.exe" process appear in the Processes tab? if so, does it persist in there or does it disappear after a few seconds?

  • Calendar no longer syncing with iphone after IOS5.

The appointments in Outlook are no longer syncing with my phone after installing IOS5.  I've uninstalled/reinstalled iTunes.  The itunes add-in in Outlook is disabled and no matter how many times I enable it, it disables.  I've reset my phone.  I've replaced items on this phone with calendar and nothing seems to work.  How do I get my appointments on my phone to be able to sync with iCloud?

I'm on a 4S  IOS 7.1 won't show my Google Calendar I have about 8 that should be showing. FIXED!!
I'm posting this here because your answers didn't help with my particular problem but aimed me in the right direction. so maybe this will help someone else.
    ------------------------------ This is what I tried ------------------------------
At the bottom of the calendar app click Calendars there should be a check to the left of your calendar. (my calendars weren't even listed here)
The google.com/calendar/iphoneselect solution. (mine was checked correctly)
Google 2-step verification (I even turned this on to see if it would help)
Deleting all accounts “Settings – Mail,Contacts,Calendars – Accounts” and starting over
    ------------------------------ My Solution ------------------------------
Since I deleted all my accounts already this is what worked I don't know why.
    Under “Settings – Mail,Contacts,Calendars – Accounts”
I added my google account “add account” “Google”... so on. Calendar was selected.
I added a second account “add account” “other” (at bottom) scroll down to “add CalDav Account” under calendars.
    Server= www.google.com
    user name = your email
    password = your password
    description = whatever
    Calendar was selected.
Then I went to “Settings – Mail,Contacts,Calendars – Accounts” and down towards the bottom I clicked “default calendar” and set it.
    I hope this helps

  • IPhone 4 iCal not synced with MBP after ios5

Bit baffled as to why my iPhone 4 calendar is not synced with my MBP calendar anymore. The tab under Summary in iTunes is checked to syc over WIFI and the phone and MBP are sharing the same network. I even manually plugged the phone into the MBP and backed up to the MBP but the calendars are still not in sync
    I must be missing something

Now sorted, I think the issue was not having all the calendars selected in 'Show all calendars' in the iPhone, now I have All iCloud; Home and Work selected and everything is synching across between the MBP and the iPhone

  • Ipod learning lab failure to sync multiple devices after ios5 upgrade? cart or IOS problem?

We have 4 ipod touch learning labs at our school, one of the carts we have upgraded all devices to IOS5, which we had to do one at a time in order tomake the upgrade stick.  The cart that now has IOS5 devices no longer shows the devices in ITunes, unless only a few are pugged in.  The issue being that managing the devices one at a time is not to anyones advantage in a learning lab (ipod cart as I call it), does anyone have any hints on what may be to blame.  We have reset devices, reinstalled itunes, and done most of the easy find "fixes" for devices not being recognized in ITunes.  However, the issue isnt that they are'nt recognized, just that they are not recognized when all or more than 5 are plugged directly into USB. when pluggind into the cart or more than 5 they areno longer recognized, and if recognized (usually only one or two devices, rarely see any) do not succesfully sync.  The carts each have a macbook, and swapping those has not helped, I'm unaware of what firmware or other issues may be part of the actual cart as there is little documenation on the actual carts.  Any help would be great.
All devices are the latest generation, are set to sync to one account on the macbook attached to the specific carts, the devices running IOS pre IOS5 are all recognized in their respective carts.... I'm sure theres more info that I'm forgetting but thats all I recall atm...

Could the individual dock connector cords be loose or unplugged inside the cart? You have the one end that plugs into the bottom of each iPod, the other end (usually a USB connector) is wound up and plugged into the cart itself, somehow. Maybe the ends of those cords came unplugged from the cart itself??

  • IPhone no longer syncs with iTunes after Leopard upgrade - HELP!

Not sure if this is the exact forum, but I just upgraded to Leopard and did all the proper software updates and now when I connect my iPhone 3G - iPhoto launches to load the pics like my camera normally does, but when I open iTunes my device does not appear. I tried rebooting both the phone and the computer and I am on iTunes 8. If I look in preferences for devices in iTunes my phone is listed, but it does not seem to want to sync.
Any and all thoughts are GREATLY appreciated!
    Thanks
    Mike

I'm having the same problem on my iMac (works on a different phone on my MBP). I restored the iphone and no dice. I'm also constantly getting a beach ball... Hope someone out there knows a workaround.

  • Outlook not syncing with iCal after Lion Upgrade

I updated to Lion, so I could more easily sync our family's calendars and contacts in Outlook to our iPhones/iPods via iCloud.  Now that I have done that, Outlook no longer syncs to iCal/Address Book and then there is the internal Microsoft issue.  How do I get the syncing working since iSync isn't part of Lion?

    Greetings,
You may have issues with Outlook and might want to remove and reinstall it (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2398768).
    Before going down that road:
    Backup your computer Addressbook: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=AddressBook/4.0/en/ad961.html
    Backup your computer iCal: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2966
Backup your entire computer (its a good idea): http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1427
    Quit all open applications
Follow all the steps in this Microsoft article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2452489
If syncing is still not working:
    Quit all open applications
    Follow http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1627
If syncing is still not working:
    SafeBoot the computer: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1455
While in SafeBoot remove the following to the trash:
Macintosh HD > Library > Caches (All the contents of the folder not the folder itself)
Home > Library > Application Support > Sync Services (The entire folder)NOTE: To get to "Home > Library" in Lion: Click anywhere on the desktop and then click on the "Go" menu at the top of the computer screen while holding down the "option" key on the keyboard.  You will see "Library" in the menu.
    Restart the computer and test.
    Hope that helps!

  • Performance slowdown after iOS5 upgrade

Did anyone assess performance slowdown on iPad after iOS5 upgrading?
...especially refering to the panel responsiveness within Safari!... any troubleshooting feasible? Thank you!

My iPad 2 feels snappier overall - there are a couple apps that haven't been updated for iOS 5 that exhibit problems though. My wife's iPad 1 seems about the same or a bit faster depending on what she's doing - and of course has the same issues with some apps that need upgrading.
So far the only downside I can see to upgrading is that I've taken a small hit on the battery due to the improved notifications mostly, I think. By small I mean at the very end of the day when I connect it to my alarm dock, it has just over 20% instead of the more usual 25-30% charge left

  • The calendar app on MacBook won't recognize and sync with IPad and Iphone after upgrading to Yosemite and Server 4.0

After upgrading to Yosemite on our mac mini (from OS X 10.9) and V4.0 to Server (from 3.2), the calendar app on MacBook won't recognize the account and won't sync with IPad and Iphone. Even after giving password over and over again. I get the following message:
    De server reageerde met
    '500'
    op de bewerking 'CalDAVAccountRefreshQueueableOperation'.
(Server responded with '500' on task 'CalDAVAccountRefreshQueueableOperation'
    Anyone idea?

update to my original post:  after searching since for the past 10 days - I did want to pass along to others with an iphone calendar sync problem the following resource:
Mac OS X: Resetting the SyncServices folder
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1627
This is the preferred solution for problems with sync with calendar and other apps between iphone and MaciOS.  This did solve the problem which developed that no items from iCal were copying to Iphone, such as new calendars I would add, but the original problem has not been fixed by this reset.

  • HT201302 Even though there are over 200 photos on my ipad, after trying both methods of importing and connecting with a lead, a message appears saying that there are no photos on this device. Any ideas?

Even though there are over 200 photos on my ipad, after trying both methods of importing and connecting with a lead, a message appears saying that there are no photos on this device. Any ideas?

Did you connect your iPad to your computer then open the application on your computer that transfers photos from a camera? Your computer should recognize the iPad as a camera. All photos in the Camera Roll on the iPad should then be seen and you should be able to copy them to the computer using that application.
Photos that were synced to your iPad by connecting to your syncing computer cannot be copied back this way as the master file for those photos are on the syncing computer.

Hi Zak, thanks for the reply.
The filename is whatever is set to be the background fill of the site (I presume the desktop background fill, if mobile versions are set to be different). I've tried a number of different files, sizes and types/formats and the result is still the same, so as far as I can tell it's not the file itself causing the issue...
It uploads all pages (desktop, tablet and phone versions), .css files and .html files, and even the favicon .ico file but then hangs on the first image file, which incidentally is the background fill image.
The total number of files is said to be 154. It gets stuck on file number 24.
Yes the "Resume" dialog appears and upon clicking it just attempts to continue from the hang at the first image file (apparently 66% of the way through).
Re: the "BC site has changed" part - I thought as much but figured worth reporting.
... Incidentally, as I've written this reply, I left the "Resume" dialog open (ie neither clicking "resume" or "cancel" and just as I've finished typing it appears to have published the site successfully?!! (I must've left it for roughly 5 minutes)
Bizarre behaviour... I'm not sure if this will repeat itself with other sites but I'm sure there's a bug here that needs looking at regardless...?!
    Any thoughts?

You may need to restart the Apple Mobile Device.
Follow the instructions here >  iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows

  • HT4236 if i sync with ipad using pc will i lose my photos in the ipad phot library?

if i sync with ipad using pc will i lose my photos in the ipad phot library?

You won't lose photos that you've taken with the iPad, copied to it via the camera connection kit or saved from emails/websites - those photos aren't affected by syncing.
If they are photos that were originally synced from a computer and this isn't the same computer, then you should be prompted as to whether you want them replacing - but there is a risk that they will be removed.

  • YouTube app missing in iPad 1 - iOS5 upgrade

Hi, I am getting a strange issue which I think is really weird. I found the YouTube app usually shipped with iOS is missing after iOS5 upgrade in my iPad 1. Is there anyway I can get the application back? Can I restore from iPad backups taken earlier?
If nothing is possible, Is there any app which I can use any other alternative app for this purpose?

YouTube will no longer come standard on the iPhone and iPad, and the Internet is jumping to conclusions as usual.
The next version of Apple's mobile OS -- iOS 6 -- will be missing the familiar YouTube app from its home screen. Instead, users will have to download a new YouTube app from the App Store. Apple claims it's simply because its five-year deal with Google has expired, while Google isn't even talking about the circumstances of YouTube's departure from Apple's devices.
Apple and Google don't exactly like each other, and Apple has been systematically purging Google's influence from its flagship OS. Earlier this year, Apple announced that iOS 6 willremove Google Maps in favor of Apple Maps.
That's why everyone seems to be concluding that YouTube's disappearance from iOS is all Apple's fault. It fits the pattern, after all.
    And people are understandably upset:
