Photo system handling.

I recently took 6 pictures of my friends math notes.
And i wanted to sent the pictures to my computer but i dont have the cable around me.
I tried to select the 6 pictures in the camera roll and "share".
But then there is no share button. Only "message" and "print". And the copy button is grey, so i couldn't copy.
after 5 min of trying different stuff.
I realized that only albums allow you to "e-mail" or "copy" pictures ( <---- this is the part where i get ****** first. Why is it?)
So I created the album and clicked on the pictures that I recently tooked.
And when i look back to the camera roll. The 6 pictures were still there. I didn't like have multiple copies of the same stuff. So i deleted the 6 pictures in the camera roll.
But then the 6 pictures in my albums were gone too... So now i have no pictures to work with..
Now i just feel really bad.. Why is apple having this really weird photo system....

Sorry you lost your photos, but for future reference to email multiple pictures from camera roll you open camera roll in the thumbnail view, top the arrow button (upper right) tap all the pictures you want to email, tap the Share button (bottom left) and select email (you should see 3 options: email, message and print).  The reason you lost your pictures is that the actual photos are always in the camera roll.  The albums only contain pointers to the actual photos.  (They're like playlists, which also ony contain links to the songs, but not the songs themselves.)

  • Upload a Greeting File to a System Handler on CUC8?

    Hi,
There must be a way to do this, but I don't see how or where to do this.
We want to create a custom greeting in wav format (or any other format supported) that will be used for a system handler
    on Cisco Unity Connection 8.
How can I upload a custom greeting to CUC8 for a specifc System Handler configured on the system other than
    using the Greeting Administrator option?
    Thank you!

  • External System Handling Units to SAP ECC System and Pack Outbound DO

    Hi Guru
Packing Is done in External System for SAP ECC Sales Order Before Outbound Delivery Creation.
How to  capture External System Handling Units in to SAP ECC System and Pack Outbound Delivery Line Items.
    Please help
    Thanks In Advance
    SR

Bit of a cart-before-the-horse situation here.
Lets assume that your business process goes ahead and creates a delivery note, but leaves it unpicked and unpacked.  Picking and packing will occur with the inbound IDoc from your external system.
Map the external system data into a basic IDoc type DELVRY0X.  I think the current one is DELVRY07.
Use an inbound IDoc message type SHPCON to carry the external system data into your ECC system.
The process code DELV works well with DELVRY0X inbounds.  It has lots of user exits.  You will need them because you will need a determination process to know which delivery note to update with the external system data.
When you map the handling unit data correctly into the IDoc, the process code will create the handling units on your delivery.  The external handling unit numbers should end up in VEKP- EXIDV.

  • HT204414 how to merge my iPhoto Library into my Photos System Library or how to import photos from iPhoto to Photos?

Can anyone tell me how to merge my iPhoto Library into my Photos System Library or how to import photos from iPhoto to Photos?

How many did you trash at one go? iPhoto will baulk and possibly corrupt if you try trash too many at one go. Expereinced users recommend getting rid of them in batches of about 100 or so.
What's your plan for the remaining images in the iPhoto Library (the 2k photos and 4 videos)?

  • System handler annoucement

    Hi,
I wonder how to make an user to able access the system handler to record an annoucement by phone ?
We are using unity connection 7. Thanks

    Hi Alan,
    You can set up the user(s) to use the Greetings Administrator;
Setting Up the Cisco Unity Greetings Administrator
To set up the Cisco Unity Greetings Administrator, do the following tasks:
    1. Set up a phone number so that you or another user can call the Cisco Unity Greetings Administrator. For information on how to set up the phone number, see the documentation for your phone system.
Alternatively, you can set a one-key dialing option from the Opening Greeting that takes callers to the Cisco Unity Greetings Administrator. Do the "To Set Up a One-Key Dialing Option From the Opening Greeting for Accessing the Cisco Unity Greetings Administrator" procedure. (If you choose this option, skip Task 2.)
    2. If applicable, add a routing rule to forward calls to the Cisco Unity Greetings Administrator from the phone number that you set up in Task 1. Do the "To Add a Routing Rule to Forward Calls to the Cisco Unity Greetings Administrator" procedure.
    3. Assign a unique extension to each call handler that you want to access by using the Cisco Unity Greetings Administrator. Do the "To Assign a Unique Extension to a Call Handler" procedure.
    4. As needed, tell call handler owners how to use the Cisco Unity Greetings Administrator. For an overview and procedure, see the "Using the Cisco Unity Greetings Administrator to Record or Rerecord Call Handler Greetings" section.
To Set Up a One-Key Dialing Option From the Opening Greeting for Accessing the Cisco Unity Greetings Administrator
Step 1 In Cisco Unity Connection Administration, expand Call Management, then click System Call Handlers.
Step 2 On the Search Call Handler page, in the Search Results table, click the Opening Greeting call handler.
Step 3 On the Edit Call Handler Basics page, on the Edit menu, click Caller Input.
Step 4 On the Caller Input page, in the Caller Input Keys table, click the applicable phone keypad key.
Step 5 On the Edit Caller Input page for the key that you selected, check the Ignore Additional Input (Locked) check box, if applicable.
Make sure that you did not choose a phone keypad key in Step 4 that represents the first digit of the extensions on your phone system. If you lock that key, callers are not able to dial a user extension from the opening greeting.
Step 6 Click Conversation, and then click Greetings Administrator in the list.
    Step 7 Click Save.
To Add a Routing Rule to Forward Calls to the Cisco Unity Greetings Administrator
Step 1 In Cisco Unity Connection Administration, expand Call Management > Call Routing, then click Direct Routing Rules.
Step 2 On the Direct Routing Rules page, click Add New.
Step 3 On the New Direct Routing Rule page, enter a display name for the new routing rule, and click Save.
Step 4 On the Edit Direct Routing Rule page, confirm that the Status is set to Active.
Step 5 In the Routing Rule Conditions table, click Add New.
Step 6 On the New Direct Routing Rule Condition page, click Dialed Number, set a parameter in the list, and enter the phone number that has been set up for access to the Cisco Unity Greetings Administrator.
    Step 7 Click Save.
Step 8 On the Edit menu, click Edit Direct Routing Rule.
Step 9 On the Edit Direct Routing Rule page, in the Send Call To field, click Conversation, then click Greetings Administrator.
    Step 10 Click Save.
Step 11 On the Direct Routing Rule menu, click Direct Routing Rules. Verify that the new routing rule is in an appropriate position with the other routing rules in the table. If you want to change the rule order, continue with Step 12.
    Step 12 Click Change Order.
Step 13 On the Edit Direct Routing Rule Order page, click the name of the rule that you want to reorder, and click the Up or Down arrow until the rules appear in the correct order.
    Step 14 Click Save.
To Assign a Unique Extension to a Call Handler
Step 1 In Cisco Unity Connection Administration, expand Call Management, then click System Call Handlers.
Step 2 On the Search Call Handlers page, in the System Call Handlers table, click the display name of the call handler that you want to access with the Cisco Unity Greetings Administrator.
Step 3 On the Edit Call Handler Basics page, in the Extension field, enter a unique extension for the call handler.
    Step 4 Click Save.

  • Can my system handle DVCProHD

I am quoting on an new project, it might be shot on DVCProHD and they would like to finish in HD, the end result being a Blueray disc. I am hoping to use DVCProHD codec throughout the process.
My main question is: Can my system handle this format?
CPU: Dual 1.8 GHz PowerPC G5
    2 GB RDDR SDRAM
Media Drives: SATA RAID (drives striped in pairs)
    I/O: AJA KONA LS
I am hoping I don't need to upgrade to do this job, but I have not used DVCProHD with out down converting to SD. I have been using uncompressed SD 10 bit with out any problem.

EVERYTHING is fine, but the I/O LS. That is a standard def card. If you want to view HD externally then you need an HD card and HD monitor.
But the system specs are fine for DVCPRO HD. The requirements for that format aren't too bad.

  • HD Advice - Can My System Handle It?

I just upgraded from PrE version 4 to version 9.  So far so good working with my .AVI footage and stills.  That being said, I want to upgrade to hi def.  I'm considering picking up a Panasonic HDC-SD60 camcorder (records MPEG4-AVC/H.264) and Blue Ray burner.  My question is, will my 6-month old desktop have the horsepower to handle working with the HD footage?
I'm running an Intel Core i3-530 processor (2.93GHz, 4MB L2 Cache) with 6GB of DDR3 Dual-Channel 1333MHz RAM.  If it matters, I'm also using an 250MB NVidia graphics card and running Win 7, 64 bit.  I've got a ton of available HDD space -- two 1TB internal drives.  I always capture and store video footage on the secondary drive.
I feel like my machine should be robust enoguh to work with the HD footage and output blue ray disks.  Even so, I would like to have some confidence that I'll be able to handle the format before I drop the $$ on the new camcorder, blue ray burner, extra SDHC cards, etc.  I appreciate any thoughts/comments.
    Thanks.

    Camera:
I have just been through what you are considering and after a lot of research on all available brands, this is what I did -
Bought a Sony HDR CX350 camera (now about $1000)
It works beautifully on my big Sony Bravia screen - as good as the best blue ray pics.
Movie colours and resolution fantastic on 1900 x1080i
Shake stabilization is the best I have seen in a moderate price camera.
Handles a wide variety of lighting conditions very well automatically while still giving you good manual control
The touch screen spot focus is better than you could ever do with a focus ring.
Solid state recording - no hard drive
(Don't buy any Sony cheaper models - they are a completely different story)
As far as the computer goes your system is better than mine however I found spreading over three hard disks by far the most important.
I have heard that laptop motherboards may not be as fast due to heat and size restrictions  so I cant comment on yours however if you cant fit three sata drives then you may have speed problems even with a super processor. External drives for backup purposes may also be slow
If you are a professional editor where time is money then you should go the quad, multi disk route but if only an amateur the following is quite acceptable -
My Computer is a 2 year old Intel Core duo 2.4g   4mbRAM
    3 hard disks. 1=OS & pagefile, 2=Media, 3= all project files
I can shuttle up and down a hour timeline without any delay ( as long as I only reveral the pics in the timeline when I really need them which is not often)
Normal piecing clips together and previewing is as fast as anyone would want. Only about 2mb of the ram is in use at any time.
Before I split and set up the disks this way it was very slow to edit
Originally 2 of my drives were connected as Raid. I unraided them and now they are two sepearate disks - much faster
The things that take up time and are improved by a quad processor are -
Previewing or making fine adjustments to a complicated transition, or effect edit. You have to render the aread around the edit if you really want to see what the end result is without jerkyness. This takes sometimes half a minute to do each time but once rendered you don't have to wait unless you make a change to that point. This is about four as fast on a quad machine. Increasing the memory doesnt help because it is caused by the processors running flat out  to keep up with the frame rate.
Conclusion: you will wonder how you ever thought SD was good when you change to HD. Even my 75 yr old wife was amazed!

  • LR 3.6: Problem with importing photos (system disk filled up).

Hi, I'm new here and in start I would like to apologize for my English. It's not very good.
I have a problem with the program Lightroom 3.6 (in 3.5 was the same)
When I import photos from disk into Lightroom, my system drive is filling up drastically.
Windows & applications (LR too) are in C (60GB OCZ SSD drive)
Catalouge is on drive D - different drive (HDD)
RAW cache is located on frive G - different drive (HDD)
When I view the photos to select the files I want to import my C drive is filled up by file:
    C:\Users\Gimmickz\AppData\Local\Temp\cr_sdk_023324  10.tmp
When I restart lightroom, the space is cleared.
I saw that many people had a similar problem (they concerned the same file: cr_sdk_XXXXXXXX.tmp) , but occurred when exporting resized images.
I've a problem with the choice of images to then work on them. Usually I select 20-30, added to the catalog and then resets Lightroom to select the next images.
This is very annoying when I have to select hundreds of images.
If a solution to this problem was already on the forum, please do not delete my topic (cost me a lot of effort to describe my problem in English) - Just give a link to the solution, or write it again - plain English as possible. alternatively, please contact: [email protected]
It is very important to me - I can not fully work on this software - please help.
    Regards,
    Gimmickz.

    Hi Hal!
Thank you so, so much for your reply!
    Thats make sense.
Today I'm away from home, but tomorrow I'll check it, but I think this will solve my problem and I will be able to work comfortably.
However, such large temp files should not be normal... you confirm? (temp file after viewed a few (20-50) photos can be more than 10 GB.)
Best regards and again - thank you Hal!

  • Photo format handling different after upgrade

Learned by accident. I shoot RAW only and the Photo app used the embedded jpeg to email, embedded, prior to 4.2.1. Today I shot a few to share with a friend, RAW only-first time sine upgrade I guess. She couldn't open them. I assumed they were jpegs as always before. I tried again but now in the email that pops up I get only the application icons. So I saw the icon for photo.RW2. Huh?!??!?!?
I took a few and sent to myself. The RAW + jpegs shot sends a jpeg attachment and when received it opens that as embedded and my file was 4.4MB. The RAW file was 14.4MB, sent the photo.RW.2 attachment icon and when received and the attachment touched an "open with" appears with 3 choices, Filterstorm, Goodreader and Evernote. Just strange. I'm not sure what the Photo app is sending. None of those apps ca process a RAW file so have to assume it's a large jpeg.
I'd love to have some insight. Obviously things have changed. Maybe all it means, at least for me if I want to send a quickie photo email without any processing, is to simply shoot RAW + jpeg since I retain my memory cards anyhow to upload directly to my main computer for processing in Photoshop and zlightroom. Still, it seems odd to make this change and I can find nothing about it. My question is why?

Here are the results of the queries. So is it safe to say that it is not the database that is changing the format? Or is there somewhere else to check. The format that the database is showing below is the format I want displayed.

  • A Small File system handling query in ABAP

    Hi,
I have the following requirement and somehow don't have a clue on how to achieve this in ABAP.
    I have 4 files stored in ABAP tables, say File1, file2, file3 and file4.
I want to provide a download functionality of these files such that on triggering a download the user should get a ZIP file which should have a structure as follows:
    Root Folder
    Folder1
    File1
    File2
    Folder2
    File3
          |
    File4
The issue is, I can add files directly to a zip in ABAP(as far as i know) but putting the same files organized in a directory structure like above is the issue.
Can somebody help me with this?
I would prefer the download to be through an ICF service which can internally extract the files from the DB, package them in the required directory structure and compress the structure into a zip and thereafter return it to the caller (i.e. the BSP page/any other client).
    Regards,
    Vikas

    Hi,
Try to use GUI_EXEC to execute the particular program or Zip mechanism program.
Im not sure wether this will solve ur issue or not.
    Reward if helpful.

  • How does Photos handle Aperture referenced photos

In order to keep my Aperture's working library at a reasonable size, I keep the latest 3 years of photos locally and move older photos onto my NAS drive. Aperture keeps previews and can reference/open the original files as soon as I have mounted my NAS.
How will the new Photos app handle these? If they simply disappears from my library, I am stuck with Aperture or have to move over to Lightroom.

The Photos.app can handle referenced images. And it can consolidate referenced images into the library.
I don't know, however, if Photos can work with referenced photos on a NAS.
Test it with a small library before you migrate.

  • Is the 70D significantly better than the 7D at handling high ISO situations?

I have a 6D and it has really spoiled me with it's low noise high ISO capabilities. I'm wondering if the 70D is significantly better than my 7D when it comes to handling high ISOs. It has the same sensor as the 6D and I really like that view screen on the 70D.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

The 6D has a "full frame" sensor - physical dimensions are close to the 36mm x 24mm size of a 35mm film negative frame.
Both the 7D and 70D have APS-C sensors - physical dimensions are close to 22mm x 15mm and close to the same size of a negative frame from "Advanced Photo System - Class" size film.
While the 7D and 70D have sensors which are roughly the same size, the sensors themselves are very different because the 70D has the new dual-pixel AF technology.

  • Swapping hard drives .... how does lightroom handle this ?

My photography is done on a separate computer to my online machine and the photo system never goes online ( so virus-proof ).
I use " Laser " brand hard drive racks which allow me to swap hard drives on each machine, and also to swap them between the two computers.
So I have several HDD's with different photo projects on each drive and some backups on HDD's as well.
Lightroom is a database system rather than a browser, so how will it be able to handle swapping HDD's in and out like this ? What happens if lightroom points to a file which is on another HDD not currently installed in the machine ? Will it be able to show all the thumbnails and tell me which HDD holds them ( as I believe programs like Imatch can )? Will lightroom be confused by this. Or will it set up its database on each HDD so each disc is a self-contained library with its own lightroom index ?
I know I can't be the only one with more photos than fit onto just one HDD. Can anyone please tell me how lightroom's library system deals with this situation ?

Thankyou very much for the responses so far ....
I see a potential problem because my HDD's are not permanently connected in the computer. Each HDD as it is swapped in and out is assigned the same identifier, say " drive D " or suchlike by windows. So my drive D might be any one of several HDDs .... with very different content to the previous drive D I had in the machine. If Lightroom stores its library for each of my drive D's on drive D itself, then I suspect there will not be problem because each HDD will be its own self-contained libary and Lightroom which resides on drive C will be able to operate on each one in turn. I will then have a series of HDD's dedicated to specific tasks, and can use Lightroom on all of them.
Windows works this way, where it resides on my drive C and performs operations on each drive D. It has no problem in " picking up " each new drive D at startup. I do not attempt to hot-swap.
But I do not know if this is how Lightroom operates. If Lightroom stores any of this information on drive C will it be able to differentiate between the different drive D's it is confronted with ?
Geoff's reply suggests that Lightroom might store some or all of its database/library with itself on drive C. Even this might work if the missing files are shown in red. I would just need to select the right HDD to put into the machine for the project I want to work on. Hopefully this will work like the external drive situation Andrew has described. I am using sticky labels to identify each HDD with the projects it holds at the moment ....
Sounds encouraging .... Thanks for the help.
