Photo transfer issues

I'm trying to transfer photos to my iPod from two different Konica Minolta cameras (X50 and Z3), both of which are on the compatable list on Apple's site. I transferred a batch of photos from one camera, then tried to transfer photos from the other. The iPod showed 0 photos available, even though there are over 100 on the camera. When I select import from the menu I get a message saying "an error occured while importing" and the iPod will not transfer any photos. I searched on the site and one "solution" was to unplug the iPod and camera and try again. No matter which camera I try to connect (both still have photos on them) the iPod will say there are 0 phots available to transfer and if I try to import I will get the same message ("an error occured while importing"). Any suggestions would be appreciated because I'm going on vacation in a couple of weeks and wanted to be able to get this to work so I wouldn't have to drag my laptop along. Thank you.
  Windows XP

first import the pix from your camera to your computer
then go into itunes with ipod connected and go here
Edit > preferences > ipod > Photos > and select syncronyze with selected folder (i dont know exact word) then browse for wher you imported your pix, select that folder, update ipod and walaa

  • Photo transfer issue due to update

When I use the usb cable on my iPhone 4 to transfer my photos a trust this computer box comes up on my phone. I tap the trust and then it will ask me again. The only net i currently have is on my phone not on my pc. Is there any other way to transfer the photos?

I already answered this. See below.

I am thinking you are using Bluetooth to transfer photos? I was under the impression you were trying to transfer via USB cable. You do not need the Internet to hook via USB. That trust box is how you initiate a Bluetooth connection between two devices.

  • Upgrading phone photo transfer issues

I upgraded from an iPhone 4s to an iPhone 5 and all the photos are out of order, the vertical pictures are now sideways and the collections aren't correct. How do I fix this?

I did the transfer at an AT&T store using their machines and did not do any sort of personal back up since I was not expecting to get a new phone (The iPhone 4s was really about to die for good). Luckily I uploaded all of my photos 2 weeks ago on my computer where the created dates are correct but would like for the Collections and Dates to be proper on my new iPhone 5.

  • Iphone photo transfer issues

Been trying to work out how to to transfer photos onto my iphone without replacing the current ones, normally id put them in the folder i sync them from on my pc, but due to a small fire thats not a option, and ive yet to work out a way of keeping them on there and still be able to update the phone any ideas?

As I understand, you can't access the folder you used to sync your pictures anymore. In this case, your only chance to copy your photos from your phone to your computer would be 3rd party software like [touchcopy|http://www.wideanglesoftware.com/touchcopy] or similar. Software of this kind is not supported by Apple. Only photos taken with the camera are part of the backup: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1766

  • IPhone photo transfer issue

on my iPhone 5, I can see one photo in camara roll, I edited it and saved in camara roll.  Then i connected my iPhone to my pc, I opened my iPhone on the pc and i can see the original photo but not the edited one on my pc, why? how to fix it? Thank you.

You need to have an application on your computer that can read XMP metadata in order to see the edited version.  Read here: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4253.

  • Need help undoing photo transfer from iPhone 4s.

Hello gang, I need some help with a photo transfer as things have gone awry!
I had ~100 photos in my Camera Roll on my 4s.  Went to transfer these to a PC, as usual; however, I did (2) thiings differently this time:
    (a) did this directly to a USB (instead of to my hard drive first).
    (b) Instead of my normal 'copy/paste/delete' I did a 'cut/paste' in order to save a step.
Well, lo and behold, these are now on my USB but each at 1KB size and when I go to view I get the message "Windows Photo Viewer can't open this picture because either Photo Viewer doesn't support this file format, or you don't have the latest updates to Photo Viewer."  My PC is running Windows 7, and right now I have about 100 photos that are not accessible.  I am not able to 'copy' back to the iPhone and at this point they are lost.
I am curious if copying directly to the USB instead of to my hard drive has generated this issue, although I do not understand why.  I have plugged in the USB to other PCs and photos are still not readable, nor are the photos still present in my Camera Roll.  Please tell me these are not gone?!
    Help!

Please, try "Photo Transfer WiFi" or "Sync Photos to Storage" from the App Store. Does it solves your problem?
I recommend you the second app. It allows you to send all your Camera Roll photos and videos to the desktop in one tap!

    OK Vicky, good clues...
    See if this helps...
Open Keychain Access in Utilities, use Keychain First Aid under the Keychain Menu item, then either check the Password under that item, change it, or delete it and start over. See if there are duplicates, should be one for Incoming & one for Outgoing.
Resetting your keychain in Mac OS X...
If Keychain First Aid finds an issue that it cannot repair, or if you do not know your keychain password, you may need to reset your keychain.

  • Photo Transfer to 5G Questions

I'd like to download photos from my digital camera to my 5G but don't really wish to spend $50 Can for the adapter that Apple sells. Was wondering then if my camera USB cable and iPod USB cable could simply be connected with a USB female-female connector or, does the Apple camera adapter perform some sort of signal processing?
Also, I can't figure out what initiates the photo transfer - there seems to be no menu options for it in the iPod. Or, does the transfer take place automatically when the camera and iPod are connected?
    TIA for any help.........

    Hi Laurie,
After you plug in the camera adapter the iPod goes to an import screen where you select Import to copy the photos to the iPod. I believe the connector is the only way to have this work (a dock to usb cable won't do the trick).

On the Google blog site there is offered a free download enabling transfer of photos to a URL, from which it can then be placed in a blog. As per usual, it works for Windows only.
Does anybody know if there is such a "service" offered anywhere for blogs on a Mac using Safari?
