How do you transfer photos from iPhoto on your Mac to the iPad  and include the titles on each individual photo that were placed on your Mac.

No backup?
Get an external drive and turn on Time Machine.
Now im trying to find the way to transfer all photos I have on my iPad and Iphone to the new iMac I have....
You will need a third party app.
Note that the photos are downsized from the original. They are optimized by iTunes and not the same as the original photos on yoru computer.

  • First Photo Transfer From iPad to PC a FAIL

WOW...  What a FAIL.  I just moved for the first time to my new iPad 48 .jpg pictures from my camera memory chip.  That went fine.  Next I hooked up the transfer cable to the PC (Windows 7, 64-bit) and transferred the 48 pictures from the iPad to My Pictures on the PC.  I went through the options and elected not to remove the pictures from the iPad at the same time I transfer them.  This should have saved my butt...but read on.
A first mistake was not selecting any pictures to view after transferring them to My Pictures on the PC.  After all, I could see their thumbnails okay.  I knew I wanted to edit some and didn't want them mixed with other pictures so I moved all of the trip pictures from My Pictures to a Downloads folder to look at them later.  In a regular folder like this the thumbnails don't display.  If they had I would have stopped right in my tracks.
I then performed a second mistake and of possible important note I had not disconnected the transfer cable yet.  I don't think that should have mattered since the pictures were in a different folder now on the PC.  In the iPad I spent a few minutes figuring out how to delete all the pictures there.  That worked....  They are all deleted.  I then removed the cable--all done.
Finally I go back to the Download folder to look at the pictures and to my horror discovered none of them would open up fully.  99% of every picture was grayed out incomplete.  You could see a few lines of picture color at the very top of a frame.  I also noticed too (you can call this a third mistake) that all the pictures listed in the folder in Windows Explorer were 127 KB.  [Heart sinking FAST!]
I moved all the pictures back to My Pictures and now 1/4 of the 48 thumbnails are grayed out to this 99% and the others looked okay but when I view _any_ of them they are grayed out 99% regardless of the thumbnail and they are all sized at 127 KB.
I've got a bad feeling there aren't any miracles to pull off here but I've got to give it a try.  Obviously there's a way this should have worked right and I need to discover it exactly before I will trust the iPad holding any photos.
After some editing and arranging I was planning to copy (not move) pictures I wanted to show others back to the iPad and I haven't figured yet how to do that.  I think I have to install iTunes on the PC and use the transfer cable again?  Is it ever so possible that if I moved all these pictures back they would be restored to their originals? [ROTFL--that would be too funny.]
    WHAT HAPPENED!?!?
    Thanks.

Recovered pictures from camera memory using Recuva.  Learned how to move photos and music around with Apple Care help.  No conclusion made as to what originally happened to photos but I won't be deleting them from camera memory or iPad if I transfer them there any time soon to avoid this problem.  I'm happy with the iPad and what it does as a convenient mobile device but at this point I don't think I'll be leaving the PC world just yet.

  • TS4403 How do I transfer photos from one ipad to another ipad with Icloud

I have photos on my Ipad and I have bought a new ipad. Now I want to transfer all those photos to my new one. How do I do it

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities
If you took those photos with the iPad, the easiest way is to use Photo Stream. If you have it activated on the old iPad, just open Photos > Streaming (on your new iPad), press the Edit button, select the photos you want to transfer and transfer them to the new iPad).
If those photos were transferred from a Mac or PC, just connect the new iPad to that PC or Mac and sync it on iTunes, so it will get all the photos

How can I transfer all my photos from my Ipad Mini to my new MacBook Pro
I am facing problem while I connect to my iPad mini with MacBook Pro , it only sync photo from its taken by and from it camera roll only. It doesn't sync all the images... Like my all albums. All photos in library....

To copy photos that were originally synced from a computer you will need a third-party app such as Simple Transfer which can copy them off via your wifi network. But as photos are 'optimised' when they are synced to the iPad, any that you then copy back to a computer may not be exactly the same as they originally were on your computer.
You should also be able to copy albums that you've created directly on the iPad via apps such as Simple Transfer (though I haven't tried it)

  • Is it possible to transfer photos from the iPad that are not in camera roll but in albums I have created?

Hi there. can someone please tell me there is a way of doing this because I was on the phone to 121 for two hours and they couldn't help in the way I wanted.
I have a customer who took his iPad on holiday and with a cable adapter used it to back up the photos from his campact camera.
Whilst he was out there he took the time to separate all the photos into albums using the standard iPad 'Photos' app. There must be 50 or so albums in there.
So now he wants to get those photos off but keep the organisation the app has allowed him to do but if we plug it up to either his Macbook pro or Windows neither the hundreds of photos or thier albums are nowhere to be seen.
The only way I can find to get them out using Macbook or Windows is to transfer photos back into the camera roll or to share them via the cloud but both ways lose the album organisation.
Obviously if there is no way to do this (which seems bonkers for a modern device) then we shall have to painstakingly do just that. It would be nice not to have to endure the hours of work is all.
    Thanks in advance!!!

  • IPad Photo Transfer: Windows Vista Digital Still Camera Driver Failed

    Hi,
I am trying to transfer photos from my iPad to my laptop. When I plug it in to the laptop the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver installs successfully and the Digital Still Camera driver fails. I have previously transferred photos in this way without any problem. When I plug the iPad in to the laptop it does not show up in 'my computer', the iPad is on and the screen is unlocked. Autoplay is on but no menu appears to transfer the photos. The photos I want to transfer have been taken on the iPad. It shows up in iTunes as normal. I can transfer photos from my iPhone to the laptop without a problem.
    This is what I've tried:
    - uninstall iTunes and reinstall
    - restart the computer
    - turn iPad on and off
    - uninstall and reinstall apple device driver (even though it was up to date and said to be working as usual)
    - plugged it in to an old laptop (windows xp) and it worked as expected
    - checked for usbappl.syn in C:\Windows\system32\drivers and it is present
    - uninstalled all Apple content from my laptop and reinstalled it all again
    - repaired the Apple Mobile Device Support program
Any help would be much appreciated, it is driving me crazy!

    Hi
I've had similar problem with my Iphone 8gb 1.1.2 OTB and Windows Vista right from when i purchased it. I tried calling Apple support and tried out all the things that you've done so far and got fed up with it. Now I download my pictures using a third party software called TouchCopy. Apple was not able to identify the issue but it certainly an issue with the OS and not the Iphone. It works like a breeze with my Windows XP PC at home but my laptop doesn't recognize it and it just gives "device installation failed". But curiously for sometime like 15 days ago, the device driver got installed but still I didn't get the camera icon in MY Computer... So if somebody could help... great!!!
And Hail Vista because I've had several driver issues like these and my antivirus is OneCare so I don't think Microsoft could complain about my installations.
    Cheers

If you have the iPad connected to the PC and think that you can simply copy the photos to the drive via the iPad without importing them to the computer first, you can't. Import them to the PC them copy them to the device.

Yes, you could, because in this case you would have something like a backup in the cloud. BTW, personally I also like Flickr. Flickr offers you 1 TB (1000 GB) of free storage and automatic upload for photos since iOS 7 (it is a very attractive offer, at least for me)

Have you synced the iPad to your new computer yet ? If not then you might find this user-tip for syncing to a new computer useful : https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3141

    OK Vicky, good clues...
    See if this helps...
Open Keychain Access in Utilities, use Keychain First Aid under the Keychain Menu item, then either check the Password under that item, change it, or delete it and start over. See if there are duplicates, should be one for Incoming & one for Outgoing.
Resetting your keychain in Mac OS X...
If Keychain First Aid finds an issue that it cannot repair, or if you do not know your keychain password, you may need to reset your keychain.

  • Photo transfer from PC to iPad 2

I know how to sync photos to my iPad from my normally used PC.
I wish to transfer photos from another PC without replacing what I already have stored on the iPad.
Can this be done with iTunes and if so, how? If not, can it be achieved with another app?

There are several ways that you can transfer photographs from your PC to your iPad.
    (1) You can synchronise your iPad and PC using the iTunes software on your PC and you can select which photos/albums/folders that you want to copy.
    (2) If you only have a few photos to transfer, then you can email them from your PC to your iPad
    (3) You can use a third-party app, like GoodReader (see it in the iPad App Store) and that will allow you to copy photos from your PC to your iPad either using WiFi or the USB connection cable that came with your iPad
    (4) You can use a 'cloud storage' server, such as Apple's MobileMe iDisk or DropBox to transfer photos from your PC to the cloud storage and then you can download them from the cloud storage to your iPad. If you need to know more about cloud storage have a look at the Apple iPad website and look for MobileMe.
    (5) You can use the optional camera connection kit - this will allow you to transfer photos either from an SD memory card directly to your iPad or you can plug the connection kit directly into your camera and upload photos that way.

How do I transfer photos from my ipad 2 to my imac?

this should help, use photo stream to do this
After your devices are using the appropriate software and you have set up your iCloud account, it’s easy to turn on Shared Photo Streams on any of your devices:
iOS devices: Go to Settings > iCloud > Photo Stream, then turn on Shared Photo Streams.
Mac: Go to System Preferences > iCloud, then select the checkbox for Photo Stream. Click the Options button to verify that the Shared Photo Streams checkbox is selected. Open the application you want to use with Photo Stream (iPhoto or Aperture) and confirm that Shared Photo Streams is turned on in that application. You can also adjust your Photo Stream settings in iPhoto or Aperture Preferences.
PC: Open the iCloud Control Panel for Windows and select the checkbox for Photo Stream. You can click the Options button to verify that Shared Photo Streams is enabled and adjust the settings. Be sure to click Apply when done.
