Photo upload pop up window

When I try to upload a new album to Facebook or pictures to printerpix the photo upload window where I choose which photos to add does not come up, until I click on another screen. But then when it does come up everything is frozen and I have to force quit safari. Pop-ups are not blocked on my computer and all soft wear updates are complete, any other ideas? Thank you!

Hey, I don't have any answer for you right now but I saw your post and wanted to let you know I'm looking into your issue with Kaleb.

  • PHP pop up window

    Hi there.
I have a site in PHP and MySql. I made a table in a dynamic
page that presents the products that i have in a database.
But it just presents the reference and the respective small
photo. By clicking the photo a pop up window should be open
containing the description and the rest of the photos for that
product. And more, the number of photos obviously vary from product
to product. How can i do this?
I'm new to all this, and this is killing me :)
Can you help me with my task? Thank you a lot ;)

  • Photo Pop-Up Window Help

I have a kinda particular question about the way my photos are shown on my site. I am creating a site as an online art gallery and I want each picture to pop-up in it's own window. I have seen tdizzle's question and will try that, but my needs go a little further. Once the new window is open with a larger view of the picture, I want users to be able to click other thumbnails below so they may see other views of the art. The effect I am going for is something like what is here: http://yessy.com/art/paintings/?view=751320, but in a pop-up window without all of the sidebars, etc.
Please help, this is super important to me and I greatly appreciate any suggestions.

Despite the following suggestion being a "slideshow", it appears to fulfill some of your criteria and also provides a few extra features. Before clicking on the hyperlinked thumbnail below, note that mouse-over of the slideshow page will display many options — including a full-screen button at lower right. The viewer can pause the slideshow (button at lower left) and then click on the thumbnails in any order...
< +Click to open slideshow in new window+
It's also possible to embed the slideshow into your web page via iWeb's +HTML Snippet+ window — see this article: _Flickr's slideshows get cinematic, viral_. Notice that the sample embedded slideshow there, once playing, also shows the full-screen button at lower right. And clicking it doesn't take you out from the current window/tab — it simply goes into full-screen mode (and hitting the Escape key exits that mode).
By the way, Flickr's maximum pixel size is 1024. You can submit larger, but they'll be compressed and resized by Flickr. See this FAQ.

Generally I would not use Facebook for sharing any photos, it compresses the photos substantially, and when you have shadows and dark colours you get visible "bands" where there should be subtle gradients, ie at sunsets and sunrises.
It sounds like you are using two methods to upload to Facebook:
    1. Sharing from within Aperture, which basically syncs Facebook with your Aperture album, so any changes made at either end gets synced, hence the deletions from Albums, although the original file should still be in your library, just removed rom the album. It is like a playlist in iTunes.
    2. Exporting pics and uploading to Facebook from the browser.
I am not sure how method 1 gets compressed, but I know that uploading hi-res jpegs to Facebook using method 2 results in poor quality images.
I wouldn't even bother comparing option 1 or 2, and they will both be poor images once you view them on Facebook, as opposed to viewing uploaded images on proper image sharing / hosting sites.
Your problem is not with Aperture, it is using Facebook for showing your work.
If you export pics form Aperture at high res jpegs or TIFFs your images will be fine.
If you insist to use Facebook as your way to share your work, then your workflow should be this:
    1. Right click images you want to share.
    2. Select Export version.
    3. Export as 100% size and ensure the export settings are set at 100% quality.
    4. Upload this pic into Facebook.
This will get you the best image size and resolution on Facebook.
    See how you go.

  • Viewing photos uploaded to iPhoto

I have uploaded photos to an  iPhoto event today.  They cannot be seen by Pixelmator or by WordPress.  They are definitely in my iLibrary, and on my harddrive.  Neither softwares can see the event, although it is visible in the recent list, but no photos are visible.  I can not access these photos.

Pixelmator should be set as an external editor:
You can set Photoshop (or any image editor) as an external editor in iPhoto. (Preferences -> General -> Edit Photo: Choose from the Drop Down Menu.) This way, when you double click a pic to edit in iPhoto it will open automatically in Photoshop or your Image Editor, and when you save it it's sent back to iPhoto automatically. This is the only way that edits made in another application will be displayed in iPhoto.
Wordpress is a website system: The first of these is what you want:
There are many, many ways to access your files in iPhoto:   You can use any Open / Attach / Browse dialogue. On the left there's a Media heading, your pics can be accessed there. Command-Click for selecting multiple pics.
(Note the above illustration is not a Finder Window. It's the dialogue you get when you go File -> Open)
You can access the Library from the New Message Window in Mail:
There's a similar option in Outlook and many, many other apps.  If you use Apple's Mail, Entourage, AOL or Eudora you can email from within iPhoto.
If you use a Cocoa-based Browser such as Safari, you can drag the pics from the iPhoto Window to the Attach window in the browser.
If you want to access the files with iPhoto not running:
For users of 10.6 and later:  You can download a free Services component from MacOSXAutomation  which will give you access to the iPhoto Library from your Services Menu.
Using the Services Preference Pane you can even create a keyboard shortcut for it.
For Users of 10.4 and 10.5 Create a Media Browser using Automator (takes about 10 seconds) or use this free utility Karelia iMedia Browser
    Other options include:
Drag and Drop: Drag a photo from the iPhoto Window to the desktop, there iPhoto will make a full-sized copy of the pic.
File -> Export: Select the files in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export. The dialogue will give you various options, including altering the format, naming the files and changing the size. Again, producing a copy.
Show File:  a. On iPhoto 09 and earlier:  Right- (or Control-) Click on a pic and in the resulting dialogue choose 'Show File'. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected.    3.b.
b: On iPhoto 11 and later: Select one of the affected photos in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Reveal in Finder -> Original. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected.

  • PSE 8 photo uploader freezing HELP

I have pse8 running on windows 7. Within the last 4 weeks my photo uploader has not been able to upload my photos from camera or phone in standard nor advance mode.
I connect my device and click (in organizer) get photos from camera and the dialog box pops up. I choose my device and than it just hangs there on "connecting to device ..please wait"  I have to turn the device off in order to get it to stop. It then says "failed to upload thumbnails from device"
My work around is getting to be too much work (manually pulling photos into my folders and then letting organizer find them and bring them into organizer)
To my knowledge nothing on my pc changed in the last 4 weeks and I can not see any reason it is "behaving" this way.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thank you Melinda

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the PSE 8 and it still will not get the phots from my camrea and phone, this frustating me.
    Anyone know a solution?????

  • Need help big time with pop-up window!

This is probably an easy answer, I'm not a programmer or a back end guy whatsoever, I'm a graphic designer trying to make his way through a project for a client.
I'm working up a Flash template, and I need to make a simple pop up window that will view a more detailed version of an image.  The template has a pop up window system where you add your photo to a certain frame of a movie clip.  The problem is, the pop ups have scroll bars built in, and for the life of me I couldn't figure out how to get rid of them, so I duplicated one of the movie clips that looked like it housed the framework of the pop up and deleted the scroll bar (I didn't delete any of the scroll bar code because I had no idea what I was doing).  It actually kind of worked, but the pop up window is a bit too wide and doesn't look right.
You can view my hack job here...
    http://truetilldeathhq.com/main8_v7/main8_v7.html
Stay on the "Print" page and click the first "01" button and an ad for Ford will come up.  Click the "Detailed View" button in the description to see the pop up window.
My question is, there MUST be an easier way to make a pop up window than the workaround I'm using with the template.  What I'm trying to do is have a pop up for each sample of the work (all images would be the same size) for the first four buttons, and then for the "Online Banners" page, have the pop up open up to the dimensions of the particular banner ad and play the swf.  The pop ups shouldn't have scroll bars, only a title and the button to close the window.
To view the template files, you can download them at:
    http://truetilldeathhq.com/main8_v7/main8_v7.fla
The "descripton" movie clips have the descriptions and the "Detailed View" links in the frames, and the movie clips I not so gracefully butchered to get the pop up to work were TM_page_content_scroll (where you're supposed to put an image in a certain frame and then put the # of that frame in the Actionscript of the "Detailed View" button), and the TM_main_cont_page2 and TM_pop_up_main3, which were the ones I duplicated.
If ANYONE can offer even the slightest bit of help, I gratefully appreciate it.  I've been working on this thing for like 15 hours a day and I can't even think straight at this point, thanks!

I admit to not having read everything you wrote... there's just too much of it. But...
Hashtable (and HashMap, which you should really be using unless you have some external constraint requiring the use of Hashtable) map each key to a single value object.
That is, you can map from the key string "4996" to one single other object. And then you can also map from a different key to a different object.
In you put() method, you add a mapping from "4996" to "good", and then you replace that mapping with one from "4996" to "home". There is only ever one value associated with a given key.
To map multiple values to a single key, you need the value object to be a collection of some kind (or an array). So, you could map your string "4996" to a List, and that list could contain the strings "good", "home", etc.

  • How do I get my computer to start opening up files instead of opening a pop up window rather than the file?

My computer has started opening up pop up windows that say, "Step 1: Select File, Information Gathered Successfully, Step 2: Click Show Information Button", instead of opening the file I click on. This informaion windown has generated another pop up window that suggests I visit the iTunes store for an app that will open the file. Twice I have purchased apps that the iTunes store said would open the file. Twice the apps have made no difference at all. The apps did not open the file. Even more frustrating than being sold apps that don't work is that the files I'm trying to open are textedit files created with the software on the very computer that is now refusing to open them.
How do I get beyond the pop-ups and open the files I created?
Is it possible to return the apps that iTunes said would work, but did not?

Please post a screenshot that shows what you mean. Be careful not to include any private information.

  • Pop-up Window Location

I want my pop-up window to appear near the control that summons it.  I've read about this on other threads, but my implementation does not work--the pop-up always appears in the same place, and its location has nothing to do with the location of the control that summons it.
I've attached images showing the VI and its pop-up sub VI.

  • Pop Up Window - Dynamic Page - Need Best Solution

I'd like to create a pop-up window for my site. I've used behaviors in the past. I'm not sure if that's the best way now. Basiclly I have a photo gallery with thumbnails. Once you click the thumbnail I want a larger window to open with the image. I've seen the javascript windows used that use CSS lightbox, however I can't get it to work with my site. I guess I should mention I'm using:
    ASP vbscript
    SQL Database
Unit is set for repeating regions
Help me find the best solution to carry out this task. Thanks in advance.

At this time I can't post the page. This is what I'm using:
    http://www.lokeshdhakar.com/projects/lightbox2/
Using asp vbscript ,ms sql database with a link to the image paths that are sitting in the images folder.
This is really all I can show you. Hopefully you can make heads of tails out of it. Thanks for answering my post!

  • Photo upload issue with Facebook

Am having a problem uploading photos to FaceBook via Lightroom's publish interface. It shows as authorized (which was a problem in itself for a while), but I get a generic "Photo Upload Failed" error from LR4. In addition, JPEGs exported from LR4 will not upload via FaceBook's own interface. This is all new since upgrading to LR4. Windows 7. While it looks like a FaceBook issue, it started with LR4 installation and no one else seems to be having a problem uploading images to FB via Lightroom or otherwise.

Day 3 of this issue and still no repsonse from Blackberry. I guess we found out who Blackberry really cares about. March 2013 - you will be losing me as a Blackberry user.

    Hi,

You can ask in that forum. Photoshop Express for Windows

  • How can I stop iCloud photo from looping a failed photo upload?

My mother has an iMac that was mysteriously losing HD space. It turns out that the process called iCloud Photo evidently was trying and failing to upload a corrupt photo that I had inadvertently put in her iPhoto app. Every few seconds a copy of the photo was appearing in the folder named com.apple.photostream-agent. There were 22,000 copies of this photo.
With each failed photo upload attempt, these errors also were logged in console:
    1/4/15 7:50:57.709 PM com.apple.photostream-agent[343]: [publisher:didEncounterError:publishingAssetCollections:] Failed to upload asset uqzx6U1gTAi5HumqNsH3YA
1/4/15 7:50:57.808 PM com.apple.photostream-agent[343]: SQL operation failed with code 11
I deleted the photos and restored the HD space after killing the iCloud Photo process in Activity Monitor. Then I removed the photo out of iPhoto.
The problem is that should iCloud Photo restart, say, through a computer restart, the problem starts all over again. Apparently removing the photo from iPhoto did not do the trick.
How can I get iCloud Photo to stop trying to upload this photo?

The problem is that should iCloud Photo restart, say, through a computer restart, the problem starts all over again. Apparently removing the photo from iPhoto did not do the trick.
Did you delete the corrupted photo from its event and from My Photo Stream as well? Have you deleted the photo completely by emptying iPhoto's Trash and the System Trash?
You could also try to delete the photos from the folder ~/Library/Application Support/iLifeAssetManagement/assets/sub/
That will remove the temporary copy of "My Photo Stream" on the Mac from the user library.
The user library is hidden by default. To open the hidden User Library:
    Use the Finder's "Go" menu.
Click "Go", then hold down the options key, until you are seeing "Library" in the drop down menu appear and click it.
In the Finder window that will open navigate to the folder ~/Library/Application Support/iLifeAssetManagement/assets/sub/.

  • Looking for a best way to arrange an array of Pop Up windows with repeating small imgs

I would like to find out what is the best way to approach setting up various Pop Up windows.
    Here is my set up:
I have 20+ product images which act as buttons and each brings a user to a unique section with the pop up window where a large photo of this product in use is displayed. In addition to this photo in the pop up window are additional product images (which were also used to create a photographed assembly)
I figured that since I repeat my product images on the pop up windows and all of them are already used in the product page let me use them again in the pop up window. So I arranged the pop up windows in each separate labeled section in which I reused the product images buttons from the products page and put the UI Loader into each separate labeled section which loads the big assebly photo of that product in use.
    Here are my questions:
    - Should each product have a separate labeled section with a pop up window
This way I can reuse a number of already existing product button images and load only the high resolution assemble image
However I end up having a lot of sections labeled for each product
    - or it should be arranged as follows:
         var sourceVar:String;
         function my_btnDown(event:MouseEvent):void {
         sourceVar="product_popups/product1_popUp.swf;
gotoAndPlay("productsLoader");//where "productsLoader" is the labeled secion of my UI Loader
This way I end up with one labeled section but have to implement up to 5 buttons on each new Pop Up.  In a sence I make the size of a loading pop up .swf a bit bigger by not recycling the existing buttons, but my assumption that I will have an easier funcitonality of the site?
I am not sure which way would be a better or more appropriate way to go?

    Léonie-
You are totally correct regarding custom tags instead of keywords depending upon the instance.
My main point is that Folders are mostly misused. Images need to be keyworded or tagged and linked to Albums, generally not put in folders. With digital images almost always folder organization of images is just wrong, because folders by definition locate an image in just a single category. And few images are ever just in a single category.
Some usage of folders can be helpful. Folders of Projects (e.g. 2001 Projects, Client royalfrenchel, etc.) make sense to help collapse a large number of Projects. However note that even in that simple two-folder example images cannot be in both folders at the same time without splitting the folders up.
IMO users should spend  time carefully establishing how to keyword/tag and aggressively avoid using folders as much as possible. Eg. in Arturo's instance "week5" should be a keyword, not a folder. That way if one wants to make a brochure and use 5-week-old puppy pix it is an easy search on "week5" to retrieve pix to create an Album to peruse for brochure purposes. If "week5" instead comprises multiple deeply nested Folders subset to every litter of every Dam the process of retrieving becomes a nightmare.
I welcome further discussion of this important topic.
