Photo uploading using SWF

Hi All,
While testing a website which uses SWF for photo uploading, I
was able to upload the photos on test server. But on LIVE several
people were not able to upload photos, also many people could. it
was not an issue with flash plugins. But many user could not just
view the button "Upload" button. Mostly imac users. any idea why it
happened?
Th whole photo uploading functionality is in flash.
Please suggest/advice.

Hi,
Double click the content server.
Go to Logon details tab.
There specify the user name and password of a fully-authorized user (with SAP_ALL profile) and save.
Make sure that user type is C - communication (check it via SU01)
Re-activate the service.

Perform IMG setting 'Display employee photograph' under IMG->Personnel Mgmt->ESS-> Service-Specific Settings ->Address book->who's who->Maintain settings.
Or
IMG activity -> Employee Self-Service -> Employee Self-Service (ITS Version) -> ESS Settings for Specific Services ->Office-> Who's Who/User's Own Data (ESS): Determine Functions :
There is an option called Display employee photograph, please check this check box.

Photos uploading using ios 7

I can sent a status via iOS but when it cames to upload photo it appears via mobile not ios.. But im using an iphone 4s

I was having the same issue also.
I could not understand why I am getting Faces on my iPhone 5 when I have not checked any people in the Faces section of the Sync Dialogue Box.
I found another discussion that has a reasonable explanation:

It explains that any photo you have chosen to import to your phone that has a Face already identified will automatically be sorted by Faces ALSO, meaning in addition being put into the seclected Album you may have chosen and also identifies and sorts your chosen Photos by Faces.
You will notice if you look at a particular Faces Album that not all of the Faces of that person are on the phone, only that Person's Face from your imported phone photos.
I think you would find it is not duplicating the photo twice, but it is just being additionally identified in the Faces section
I hope I have not confused you more.

HT4101 Format of photos uploaded using camera connector

I have loaded lots of RAW photos onto my ipad using the camera connector. Unfortunately they have got lost from the card. Please can some one tell me whether they will be in the same RAW format on the ipad + how tranfer to my PC in same format. Thanks

I'm wondering if this would work: use a modified USB cable which would connect the camera adapter to the camera, but would also provide power to the camera adapter side. What isn't clear to me is whether the camera adapter would pass the power through to the iPod (and thus charge it), whether it would just "ignore" the power so that there would be no difference between this and using a normal USB cable, or whether I would fry the camera adapter and/or the iPod.
I'm guessing that the camera adapter would not be expecting to be powered "by the camera", and so this would not be a viable solution. On the other hand, I don't seem to be able to reliably download an entire flash before my battery dies, which sort of kills the utility of this feature.
Anyone have any idea whether this might work, word work, or does work?

iPod Windows XP

My iphoto freezes when trying to use the standard eBay photo upload, the problem started after a recent iOS 7 update. The album photos don't appear until I try and close the upload and immediately freezes. Attempts to close iphoto fail.

A week or so ago I reacted to an Apple update message. The update completed and this left me with a couple of problems. When the imac started up there was a Glims message on screen telling me that the computer had not closed entirely and asking if I wanted to allow glims to reopen previously open files. I ticked yes and Safari froze immediately. This would happen even after a restart, Safari would start up with the Glims message on my Yahoo mail account. Then whether I clicked on the Glims message or not one of various adverts would appear and Safari would immediately freeze. I managed to override this by quickly entering Safari extensions and subscribing to an advertisement blocking programme. Safari now worked without problems but the blocking programme created other problems mostly with iphoto. The eBay uploaded photos were minute. So I decided to remove the Safari blocking extension and all seemed fine for everything except iphoto which now freezes every time I try to upload eBay photo's using the eBay standard upload problem. Yesterday I changed to the other BASIC upload option and that did work. Thought it might be a one of glitch on the Standard but obviously not. Anyone's help would be appreciated. I note that at least one other member is experiencing the same or similar problem today.

Sorry I am 70 and not very computer literate. Please explain in simpler terms. Perhaps I should have said Apple update for my iMac. It did however include an iphoto update. My imac is 3 years old, I also have an ipad 2 and iPhone and both received iOS 7 updates around the same time.

Safari crashes when trying to use facebook photo upload

I have been using facebook photo upload from Iphoto with out any problems. Tonight I tried it and it shuts down safari happened a couple of times but it corrupted my whole photo library and now Iphoto shows the measage that it is totally corupted and unusable. Any one got any ideas to get it working and to recover photos

Please post your iPhoto question in the iPhoto forum. There are ways to recover, I think, but I am not an iPhoto "expert." Photos are precious and I think you will get the best guidance for possible recovery in the iPhoto forum. There are some real experts there.

Can I build a photo uploader with Flex?

Hi,
I am looking into Flex as a possible platform to build a new
photo website. I know that many of my requirements fit great with
the flex/flash platform. But one specific issue is to build an
easy-to-use, easy-to-deploy photo uploader which feels like
Flickr/Picasa and can manage picking 100s of files/folders. That
means I need:
1 - local read access to the filesystem to browse JPGs for
upload
2 - local write access to add EXIF keywords to selected JPGs
(i.e. uploaded tag)
3 - network access to upload to my website
For the absolute simplest user experience, I think I need to
run in a local-trusted sandbox, an SWF downloaded and configured by
an installer. I think that will get me 1 and 3. But I think 2 is a
problem - am I limited to only writing local shared objects to the
filesystem?
If this is so, is there a workaround for this? For example,
can I call a local executable to write the EXIF data to JPG, or can
I use the Flex/AJAX bridge to expose my SWF to javascript and
somehow use that to write the EXIF data?
Also, can someone point me in the right direction to
understand how to write an installer that will configure a
local-trusted SWF?

When I open the iCloud control panel, I cannot turn on the photos. That option is ghosted. I'm running on Windows 7 with iCloud 3.0. Any ideas on how I can fix this? All help is appreciated! Thanks!

When I Open Iphoto it tells me that it can not open current photo library using this version of iphoto. Any help on what I can do to fix this without loosing all my previous photos?

For some reason I tried to open Iphoto and it keeps giving me an error message that It can not open my current photo library.
It says "You can't open your current photo library using this version of Iphoto.

I tried updating the software and didn't do nothing for me.

Ok, here is what I would do for that situation. I would back up all your photos on a memory stick, then create a new photo library and re-upload all the photos to the new library. If iphoto wont let you even copy your photos, you should just schedule an appointment at the genius bar. This has never happened to me, but if it did this is what I would be attempting.

Facebook Photo uploader not working

a few weeks ago (nov 2012) i upgraded to the latest vresion of facebook, but if i now go into the app and click to upload a photo, nothing happens, not even an error message appears. everythign else is working fine though. Photo uploading works if i go to the gallery and select send to facebook.
ive tried uninstalling, resetting my phone and upgrading my software but nothing has worked. any help would be good and i have a blackberry curve9300 3G

Employee Photo upload

Hi Experts,
I need to upload the photographs of employee to SAP.
All the config required for photo upload is done
These photograph path details and Emp Id will be available in a flat file.
As BDC approach using OAAD is not able to workout (picking of text file is via a Operating system screen so we cant record it in BDC) so we used below approach.
Using GUI_UPLOAD and ARCHIV_CREATE_DIALOG_META .
The above approach works FINE for foreground and presentation server upload.
Now the requirement is:
I have 2 questions.
1. It is not working for background processing.
2. The photo has to be called from app server (images available on App. Server (UNIX)). is it possible to get JPEG file from app server without using GUI_UPLOAD?
If it is possible do guide me.

I thought I'd share this with everyone.   We figured out how to load pictures in batch processing using pictures stored on a unix server.   The code below is what we are using.    For now, I'm using a driver file from the local drive to determine which picture goes with which associate, but we plan to automate this by storing the pictures with the associate number in the name.   We'll then read the directory each night and load any new pictures.    I thought I'd share what we discovered for now so you can build what you need for your side.

I tried to implement photo albums using iweb and got a publishing error.

I tried to implement photo albums using iweb and got a publishing error. All was fine with my site until I added the photo album page. The software doesnt say what the error is exactly, only that it is a publishing error to my ftp
Exact message "There was an error communicating with the FTP server. Try again later, or check with your service provider."
If I reduce the albums inside to 1 then it seems to work but that takes away from the usefullness of multiple albums.
my iWeb version is 3.0.4 (601)

Publish your site to a folder on your hard drive to see if the publication will proceed successfully and open the site locally with your browser to confirm all of the alums are there and work. If they do try the following:
delete the iWeb preference files, com.apple.iWeb.plist and com.apple.iWeb.plist.lockfile, that resides in your Home() /Library/Preferences folder.
go to your Home()/Library/Caches/com.apple.iWeb folder and delete its contents.

launch iWeb and try again.
If you're still not able to publish from iWeb to your server download and use the free Cyberduck to upload your website files to the server. Users have found that CD has been successful when iWeb had problems.
