Photo viewers available to let you page through photos

I'm working with an iMac (CRT) running OS 9.2.1...are there any photo viewers available to let you page through photos (not view one at a time.) I have downloaded "Multiple Picture Viewer" from TechRepublic but it's not really what I'm looking for.

I'd suggest you acquire a copy of GraphicConverter for OS 9 -

For many folk who deal with images in any quantity GC has proved to be an important tool. It can convert from/to most any file format and platform; add preview and file icons; do batch operations (thousands of files at one time); edit images; and much more. Its modest cost is more than offset by its ability to fill needs.
For the purposes of your expressed needs, it also includes a slideshow function that is easy to use and easy to manage. To use that function, just drop a folder full of the images you want to view onto GC's icon, or and alis to it. After a short wait you will be presented with a layout of all the images in the folder. Do a Command-A (Select All), and after the pictures are selected the Slideshow icon at the top will become active. Click that, and the slideshow will start. In the slideshow screen will be a control strip allowing you to manage what is being shown; a mouse click (and spacebar click) will automatically switch to the next picture.
While viewing the layout display (catalog mode) you can easily manage pictures. You can select one to perform any of GC's operations on, or double-click it to open the picture itself. You can also drag a picture out of that page and onto the desktop or into another folder to relocate that picture; or, Option-drag it to a new location, and it will be copied there instead of being moved.
I find GraphicConverter to be an indespensible tool, and have kept it current for more than a decade.
And, no, I do not derive any profit from it being purchased - I just like it.

Thank you for your reply. Sorry to bug you again but can I ask some further questions? Pls excuse my lack of knowledge on these things.
In relation to your points:
1) In the ftp publishing settings, public_html is acutal in where it says "site name", where it says "URL" I have http://www.gippmed.com. I was advised to put public_html in "site name" from my hosting. If I put anything else it publishes the entire site to a folder with that name on the server and is not viewable online?
2) I have removed the spaces in the album page name and will reupload soon. In relation to the image file names, am I correct in saying that iweb is naming them from the captions? Do you really have to use one word captions or use underscores, it looks a little odd? I have read troubleshooting articles about iweb and spaces and it also recommends similar as you are, suggesting that all page names should have underscore instead of spaces. Problem is, if for example I change the page name "About Me" to "About_Me" iweb automatically changes it in the navigation menu and this looks silly to have undescores in the Nav Menu. Is there a way around this?
Lastly, a new problem that I have never had before:
Previously, iweb would remember what I had published and only publish new site changes. Now, every time I turn my computer off and on, I open iweb and it doesn't recognise any of the previous publishing, ie it republishes the entire site.

Your photos are actually all in the Camera Roll. The album you create only contain pointers to these pictures. Albums are like music playlists; when you delete a song from the playlist it doesn't delete the song from your music library. But when you delete a song from your music library it will also be deleted from any playlists that it may have been in as well.

it has been a while since we have last spoke, I would like to let you know, I am still working on getting used to the switch from windows to a Mac/Apple system. I do have a new question for you, I did purchase In Design CS5.5 through journeyed.com through Cuyahoga Community College of which I attend as a student, is there a way to purchase an online book through iTunes to learn that as well? Also, you know me, the struggling student, I would also, when and if the book can be purchased through the iTunes, would need to know if you do know of a much easier book for struggling students like myself and at a reasonable price as well for the In Design CS5.5 program. Our campus bookstore had closed early, and, so did the colleges library and our local library here where I do live, so, I cannot go to either place to purchase a book or to take out a book, plus cash funds are low at this moment as well but, I do have money left on the iTunes account to use, if it can be used. So, can it be used, the iTunes money, towards finding a low priced online book? I am in great need of assistance as I have a project due for my one course for this Tuesday, September 4, 2012.

Is there a way to import photos to the iPad and put in an album without having the photo also in the Camera Roll? I have a photo transfer app but when I import the album and photos they are also shown in the CR. When you delete them from CR they are deleted from the album too.

You can sync photos from your computer via iTunes, and each folder that you sync will get its own album : syncing photos. You will need to sync all the photos that you want on the iPad together in one go - synced photos can't be deleted directly on the iPad, instead they are deleted by not including them in the next sync.
In terms of albums that you create directly on the iPad no, effectively you are just creating pointers to the photos in those new albums, so if you delete the original photo you will therefore also be deleting all pointers to it.
You could consider a third-party photo management app instead e.g. Photo Manager Pro

I downloaded an update to my iMac today and now I can's access my photos for Word. Photo Booth comes up instead.

Thank you Dah.Veed, but when working in Word it doesn't allow me to choose the Photo app in the Apps folder. I put a newsletter together every month and now I can't add any photos to it. Very frustrating!

How do I get photos from my iPhone to my computer through Photo Stream that are older than 30 days?

I set up iCloud on my Windows computer a few months after I got my iPhone. I set up iCloud and Photo Streaming on my iPhone when I got it, so when I eventually set up iCloud on my computer it would only download the last 30 days of photos to my computer. Is there any way to get the older pictures on my phone to my computer though the iCloud?

Photos are only stored in iCloud for 30 days. If they are still in the camera roll on your phone, you can extract them as you would photos from any digital camera. If you deleted them from the camera roll and they have rolled off of iCloud Photo Stream, I'm afraid they are gone.

Photo CS6 won't let me drag my photo to a blank canvas

I try to put it on the blank canvas and it won't. Nothing pops up saying it can't. It just won't go on the canvas. I'm new to photoshop so if anyone knows how to help please be detailed. Thank you!

What is the Mode of the blank canvas? It needs to something like sRGB if it is a colour image you are trying to add to the canvas.
Is the image also open in Photoshop, or are you trying to drag it from outside Photoshop, and if so, where from?
What operating system are you using? (Windows 7? Apple 10.???

TS4403 photos don't apper on my computer through photo stream

I've enabled Photostream on my I5 phone, installed icloud control panel and logged into my account. However I don' seen my photos appearing on my laptop. I'm running windows 7 here. I've reinstalled the control panel 3 times and no luck.
Anybody understand why I'm see my photos on my computer. My phone has placed the photos into My Photostream folder but not much activity?

Photostream does not work backwards. Restarting of the photostream does not help for something it is not suppose to do. To check if it works make new photo on any of your devices and it will stream. It will not go and sync previous staff, nence the name "stream" versus "sync"

If it was originally on the camera roll try this: take another unimportant photo for test purposes, copy it to any special folder you have created within Photos, connect your iPad to your computer, locate it as any other external device, and most likely that Photos folder will be the only thing that will show up, locate the photo, delete it and then sync your iPad.
If the test photo is gone from the camera roll but still in another folder within the app then you know that the system works so go ahead with the process. I understand that there are other photo apps which might let you achieve your goal much quicker.

When I create a new photo album in Iphoto it adds all my photos in the library

I love my macbook pro but still not fully understanding Iphoto. When I create a new photo album and drag photos over from a disk it seems to add all photos from my library. When I remove them it removes them from all the albums. HELP!

Add the photos from your disc to iPhoto, then drag them from the iPhoto Event or photos to the Album.
You can delete photos from the Album without removing them from the computer. If you delete them in the Photos or Events area, they are removed from iPhoto, therefore taking them out of the Album.
The photos have to be in iPhoto to exist in an Album. They cannot exist in an Album and not be in iPhoto..

After reviewing your post, it sounds like you are using My Photo Stream and deleting a photo on the iPhone is not deleting it from the Mac. I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help the issue.

When you delete a photo from My Photo Stream on an iOS device, Mac, or PC, that photo will be deleted from the My Photo Stream view on all your devices after you connect each device to Wi-Fi or Ethernet.

Something to hold photos & page through with a touch-pad..

Any help @ all, PLEASE. My wife's friend has a handheld item, that holds photos & allows her to page through and zoom in on pics. Hers has the internet, which is not a necessity for me(wife has blackberry) Please let me know if anyone has any ideas..THANK YOU!

iPod Touch. They have internet available where there is wifi but you don't pay monthly or anything. 199 for an 8 gb, 299 for a 32 gb, and 399 for a 64 gb. Those are the retail prices so they could vary.

Also how do you request films/tv series to the UK itunes? There's tv series I'd like but they're incomplete like The Batman & Xena Warrior Princess. And films theta aren't available for download but you can purchase in a store like HMV? Apple isn't doing itself any favours by secluding countries by their store. They'd make billions if you could just select the iTunes Store you want to search & purchase from just by signing in! If anything what they're doing is putting themselves into a corner, other companies like Samsung & HTC are already on too of them for innovation & ease of use. The people they're attracting are predominantly existing Apple users not new customers. What do you guys think?

It's not Apple's choice, they can only sell a particular item where the content provider/rights-holder has granted them a license to sell them. Content is licensed by the rights-holders to Apple on a country-by-country basis, each country therefore has to have its own store, and you have to be in a country to use its store - they want control over where their content is available.
You can try requesting that an item be added to the UK store via this page, but unless the rights-holder agrees to then Apple won't be able to sell it here : http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunes.html
