Photo won't load vertically

I have photos taken on my iPad2 vertically. When I upload them to computer (both Mac and PC), they load horizontally. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks.

Hi peter,
did you happen to rename the image/images in the iPhoto Library in the Finder?

my photos won't "load" - it has worked fine for at least two years, but suddenly now when I plug in the chip, iPhoto opens up as usual, but the window just says "loading photos",  and the little wheel keeps on spinning - can anyone help me?? I am new here. I need to get it working again because we're about to go on a trip!

What version of iPhoto? Assuming 09 or later:
    Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
    If that fails:
    Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

  • On Etsy, many of my photos won't load. But they load if I switch to IE. This started yesterday. Why?

I have cleared my cache. The non-loading photos are consistent. Always the same photos won't load. Some others have reported the same issue on Etsy forums, but I don't know if they are using Firefox or not.
All photos load when I use IE.
    I am on Firefox 3.6.4

It is possible that you clicked "Block Images" in the right-click context menu while saving an image.
    See:
    * http://kb.mozillazine.org/Images_or_animations_do_not_load
    * You can see the permissions for the domain in the current tab in Tools > Page Info > Permissions
    * You can see all exceptions in Tools > Options > Content: Load Images > Exceptions
You can use these steps to check if images are blocked:
    * Open the web page that has the images missing in a browser tab.
    * Click the website favicon ([[Site Identity Button]]) on the left end of the location bar.
    * Click the "More Information" button to open the "Page Info" window with the Security tab selected (also accessible via "Tools > Page Info").
    * Go to the <i>Media</i> tab of the "Tools > Page Info" window.
    * Select the first image link and scroll down through the list with the Down arrow key.
    * If an image in the list is grayed and there is a check-mark in the box "<i>Block Images from...</i>" then remove that mark to unblock the images from that domain.

  • 'Facebook photos won't load'

I have the latest software installed on my Z10 and Facebook was working fine but.......for the last few days I cannot view other Facebook users' photos via the 'Notifications' tab (i.e. the globe icon on FB) and get a message saying 'Photo won't load' (i.e. I get a black screen)?
I have removed and re-installed the app and connected via various providers and still no change BUT if I login to FB via my browser everything is OK.
    Any suggestions?

Same here and I also removed FB app and Reinstalled it. Still won't work.

Does the ext directory have the php_oci8.dll? In the original steps the PHP dir is renamed. In the given php.in the extension_dir looks like it has been updated correctly. Since PHP distributes php_oci8.dll by default I reckon there would be a very good chance that the problem was somewhere else. Since this is an old thread I don't think we'll get much value from speculation.

  • Error (-69) when sync'ing iPhone 3Gs photos won't load

After loading a season of tv shows into iPhone my photos won't sync. I have tried remove the show but it still won't sync. Has this happened to anyone else? What can I do. ITunes is operating on an XP PC.

was this a result of updating my iphone to ios 4.2?
Yes. iOS 4.2.1 requires iTunes 10.1 or greater, which requires OS X 10.5.8 or greater.

  • All photos won't load properly

Does anyone have problems uploading pictures? When I upload some pics work and some don't. The show on the website but the pic doesn't load. Every pic is the same format so I'm not sure why it likes some and not others. You can see what I mean by going to http://www.slaughterscustomshop.com/bumperz.asp
Can anyone help? Thank you so much.

Well according to the links to the images, all 3 images are linking to images inside the same folder yes.  When when I try and view the image on it's own by following the links I provided, it shows that the image isn't there.
The path to the images is showing that all images are inside a folder named images with another folder inside that named bumperz. But the browser is telling me that the images are not there - they won't load up when I try and view them directly.
The only issue I can see is that the 2nd image does have a space in the file name, that *could* be a problem - you shouldn't have spaces inside file or folder names for example.  However, that doesn't explain why the 2st picture isn't working.
If you are sure that you *have* uploaded *all* the images into the exact same folder on the server, then maybe the images are corrupted...  try uploading just those *2* specific images again and see what happens.

  • Photos won't load on edit page

I have never had a problem with clicking on a photo in my library and it opens it up into the editing window, however, today when I went to retrieve a photo from my library into the editing window all that will happen is the loading dial that spins in the middle of the screen turns. I have already checked the privilages and they are all read and write. It won't even let me save the images from the library to the desktop. Also, when i try to scale up the library thumbnails it only lets me get to a certain size before the images just become blank squares. What do you think is wrong and how can I fix this.

My daughter just phoned me with this problem... Her photos wouldn't show up, they vanished when resizing before she can even see then decently... (iPhoto 504) Being a university student she was relying on some science photos she had taken for assignments and was in a panic.
    We did the following:
Backed up the iPhoto Library to CD, then trashed the original folder to ensure a clean start.
    Trashed the com.apple.iphoto.plist file
    Restarted iPhoto
Imported the photos folder by folder from the backup... (slow, but sure process - I'm sure someone has a shortcut)
    and...
Everything was now fine... As we talked about what was happening, it turned out she hadn't liked the '07' '04' folder naming system iPhoto used and had changed the names to ones she understood, like 'September' etc. (oh dear, but hey, she didn't know...!)
So we could have saved ourselves a lot of hassle and time, but she swears to me she will NEVER tamper with the iPhoto library folder again!!! :o)

  • Since 4.2 photos won't load from the CCK (SD)

Using OS 3.2.2 my iPad loaded jpg photos from the DCIM folder on an SD card with no problem and very quickly. Now after installing 4.2, I get the error "No Photos to Upload" when there are hundreds on the SD media card. Is this strictly a problem with 4.2, or are there new criteria (because of 4.2) that I need to satisfy to load the photos? How do I fix it?

OK, I did my test using my Nikon D300s DSLR. I was also going to use my wife's Nikon P7000, but the results were so satisfying, I skipped it.
I took three shots with my D300s (I take raw + JPG/fine, and have my JPGs assigned to my SD card) and popped my SD card into the CCK SD adapter. They came right up!!! I was flabbergasted! So, I pulled the SD card and modified the files. One of them I reduced the resolution from 300 ppi to 72 ppi and saved it in its original filename. I also reduced the reso of another image to the same 72 ppi, but saved it with a letter suffix ("a") and saved it in the same folder.
I popped the SD back into the adapter and the iPad saw the new, smaller, 72 ppi image of the same name (as the original), and did NOT see the new, smaller, image with the "a" suffix.
The result: I think the key is not to rename the images if you change them (and I will experiment more with changes to the images to see what else it might reject).
    Thanks for the inputs guys.

  • Looking at photo, photo won't load

When I click on a photo in my library, it tries to open the photo on a larger scale in iPhoto, but the image never loads, it just shows the little "sweeping circle" animation. Any help?

  • My canon T5i raw photos won't load into PS CS4 on my Mac with Yosemite

I Recently got a new Canon T5i. I also had to get a new hard drive for my Mac, it came with Yosemeti on it.  I am unable to open RAW photos in my PS CS4.  I downloaded the 7.4 update but it still won't work.  Any suggestions?

Unfortunately, photoshop cs4 can only use up to camera raw 5.7, so you can use the 8.7 dng converter to convert the canon T5i files to dng copies which photoshop cs4 should then open.

  • Please help ... Photos won't load

When I open iPhoto, I get the spinning wheel and the message Loading photos, but they don't load. I tried restarting, still not loading. Help please!
    power mac g5   Mac OS X (10.4.7)

    Hi sunset beach,
Here are things to try in order of preference: Close iPhoto before you try each one, and see if iPhoto will open after you try each one.
    1-Trash iPhoto's Preference file
    Preference file
2-Create a new library and see if iPhoto will open (it will be empty of course)
If a new empty library opens, then you know there is a problem with something in your old iPhoto Library file, probably a corrupt data file, that is keeping the library from opening.
    To do this, close iPhoto
drag the iPhoto Library folder to the desktop
open iPhoto and at the message screen, click "create"
    A new library should open
If a new library opens, you can then close iPhoto
Drag the old library back into the Pictures folder to replace the empty library there. Next, see if a rebuild can fix the old library.
    3-Rebuild your Library
    Try this:
Before doing a rebuild make sure iPhoto's trash bin is emptied. You can do this by control clicking on the trash bin, or from the menu bar under iPhoto.
    Close iPhoto
    Duplicate the iPhoto Library folder
Drag the duplicate to the desktop (hopefully you have enough room on your hard drive for the duplicate.)
Launch iPhoto holding down the Command and Option keys until you see the rebuild options screen.
Choose the first three options. If you were missing photos in your library, also choose the last option. Be advised that you will get a roll of orphaned photos and it might be quite huge. Most of them will already be in your iPhoto library, but use caution when deleting anything from this roll until you are sure the photos are still in your library in another place. It might be a good idea to share/export this roll of photos just in case you need to import them again.
Back to the rebuild, depending on the size of your library it might take some time. When it is done, hopefully your photos will be there.
You might see some unexpected results as I did when I did a rebuild. Photos had been moved to wrong dates, video clips had lost their duration info and some were even orphaned from the jpg pointer file. It took me some time to straighten it out again.
This is the reason to make a duplicate before you rebuild, in case you do not like the result. If you don't like the result, close iPhoto, then delete the rebuilt library and drag the duplicate back into the Pictures folder making sure the name is iPhoto Library. Launch iPhoto and it should open the library in the Pictures folder.
iPhoto 4 or later: Rebuilding the iPhoto Library
    4- Create a new library
    Close iPhoto
Rename your messed up iPhoto Library to "iPhoto Library_old"
Drag this library to your desktop
Hold down the Option key and launch iPhoto
This is the window you will get
Create a new library or choose a library to open
Choose to create a new library
Once this new empty library is open it is time to import the images from your old library
    Go to File>add to library
Navigate to the old library on your desktop and highlight it in the window, then click the "open" button.
iPhoto will start importing the images from your old library
    This is what to expect:
Your images will be imported in nice dated rolls. (make sure your view is set to sort by rolls to see it) There are a couple of caveats to this. You will get rolls named "Originals" These rolls will contain your video clips and your original images that you had edited. If you had RAW files they would be in those rolls too (I don't do RAW, so I don't know for sure) Delete what you don't want from those rolls. You will also get the jpeg pointer files to your video clips imported. They will just be jpegs and will not point to the video clips anymore as iPhoto made new ones when the clips were imported again. You can delete those. they should be in a roll right next to the newly imported video clips so they are not hard to find. The thumbnail files don't get imported as iPhoto makes new ones when the images are imported.
Once all you images have been imported, check through the library and make sure everything looks ok.
You can now start making your Albums, and do your keywords or any other organizational steps.
You can also delete the old library on the desktop.
It is also a good time to backup this new library to CD/DVD by burning the iPhoto LIbrary folder in the Finder, or copying the iPhoto Library folder to an external drive formatted for Macs, or copying the iPhoto LIbrary folder to an iPod.
    Good luck!
You can get back here after each of the steps you ry and tell us the results.

  • TS3989 My problem is that the photos won't load up in My Photo Stream. Something is wrong with my account (Apple ID). Because when I tried it with another account, it worked fine. This problem began when I deleted all the photos on My Photo Stream.

I once deleted all the photos on My Photo Stream, since then, it won't upload photos anymore.
If I share a stream, it works fine. But still, no photos on My Photo Stream.
I just tried another Apple ID on my iPhone and it worked nicely. So, I guess something went wrong when I deleted all the photos.
    Can someone please help?
    Many thanks.

    This one was quick.
    I deleted my Apple ID.
Tried a new Apple ID for it.
Deleted the newly created Apple ID which I had just created as a test.
Entered again my main Apple ID and... voilá.
    It works again.

  • My photos won't load from my iPhone 5s to my MacBook Air. I'm unable to import the pics off my phone.

When I connect my iPhone 5s to my Macbook Air, the photos typically load automatically to import. Now, it just says "loading..." and nothing else is happening. I have restarted the computer, the phone, checked the settings, etc... Any suggestions?

Try using Image Capture to import photos from your iPhone. Image Capture is located in your Applications folder.
