Photoansicht im Organizer PSE

Hallo Experten,

    Use the menu Preference/General.
You have a button to press on the bottom of the screen : 'reset all warning dialogs'.
Then start the full view (F11); you'll get the popup menu to set the preferences for the full view; check to show captions.

  • How to export in Organizer PSE 9 - Mac

How to export one or multiple images from PSE 9 Organizer (Mac)?
I want to set the size and export to a folder or desktop

Thanks Barbara, I assumed it would be the same as Windows.

Perhaps try the Editor top menu:
    File > Process Multiple Files
Then choose an output folder on your hard drive or CD/DVD etc.
    Otherwise use iPhoto:
File -> Export, Kind: Original etc.

  • Organizer (PSE 8) does not recognize DNG files

I recently upgraded to Elements 8 for Windows.  Although I can load DNG files in to Editor, work with them and save them, the Organizer says it does not recognize this file type and will not load DNG files.  In Windows Explorer, I had to associate my DNG files (I use XP) as being an Adobe Elements file so the install program clearly dropped the ball.  Did not have this problem with Elements 7.  Organizer recognizes my Camera RAW files just fine.

I am able to get DNG files in PSE Organizer 8.0 and didnot see any issue.
Could you restart your system and see if it works!

  • Unable to add Keyword Tags in Organizer PSE 9

I am beyond frustrated at this point.  I have never run across a more buggy program than PSE9 (or 8 for that matter).  I am particularly having trouble with the organizer in PSE 9.  I have spent that last day or so tagging a catalogue of about 2000 photos when suddenly the organizer froze up.  I killed it and restarted.  Then it wouldn't even load.  So I thought to load another catalogue to see if that worked.  It loaded up just fine.  I switched to the catalogue I had had the problem with and PSE pretty much shut my computer down at that point.  So, I restarted the computer, loaded up the organizer and actually got it to open the catalogue.  I ran a repair on it.  It said that it had fixed some errors.  Great, I thought, everything is fine.  Well, no, it wasn't.  Now whenever I attempt to add a keyword tag, delete a keyword tag, or even add a caption, the organizer just gives me an error.  It is only happening on this particular catalogue.  I have repaired it, optimized it, and even regenerated the thumbnails.  I always get an error when I try to edit anything.  I can view the pictures just fine.  I can open them up from the organizer into the editor just fine.  I just can't delete, add captions or keyword tags at this point.  If I have lost the all the work I did last night and today tagging these photos, then I am going to be mighty mad.  If anyone has any suggestions, then please let me know.  I don't want to think that I have wasted time, and most of all, money on this program.  Thanks.

  • LIghtroom versus Organizer \ PSE versus CS5

I need a little help. I built a website for family and friends to view some of our family photos and videos. I used SlideShowPro Director to manage the photo albums on the site (best $59 I think I've spent so far). They have a plug-in for Lightroom to automatically manage the albums and upload content. Right now I am manually uploading to the site which is not a big deal but if I add to an album or edit photos it would nice to have it flow right up.
I currently have PSE10 and PRE10 along with Organizer. I also have a new Camera coming which is 18mp but that is not really an issue for me here and at this point. I am now being told by sales (I should have done better research up front but not a big loss and my son can use the Elements package if I go this route) is that PSE10 only supports 8mp photos so if I bring anything larger into it they will be scaled down. Also, that Lightroom works seamlessly with CS5 but not with Organizer.
I am also being told that the Organizer Catalog and Albums cannot be ported over to LR. I have 12,000 files in it now and many I have faces assigned, many in more then one album, and keyword tags. So if I went with LR to manage the website albums I will have to build the LR catalog from scratch. Although it appears I can just drag & drop my folders into it.
So can someone help put some truth to this or dispel any misinformation? I would like to go with LR now and use it with my PSE and PRE10 that I currently have and move up to CS5 when needed. I don't mind the initial pain of building my LR catalog if I can have LR work with PSE and PRE. And does PSE10 scale down photos greater then 8mp?
    Thanks much,
    Joe..

If it is of any value to anyone here you go. I downloaded the trial and ran a bunch of tests and this is where I am at:
Lightroom is absolutely compatible with the PS Elements App. You can right click on an image and select EDIT WITH PHOTOSHOP ELEMENTS. Done.
You can IMPORT you Elements Organizer Catalog to Get Started. (Update: One caveat - it currently only supports through PSE9 Catalogs. Hopefully an update soon)
It is way more powerful then Elements Organizer but for most of my needs Organizer would have been fine. But LR has blown me away.
I downloaded and installed the Plug-In for SlideShowPro Director. It took about 10 minutes to install, configure, and actually upload an album from LR to my Website and automatically appeared in the Gallery in SSP. You can also make many configuration changes to SSP and either display individual Albums on one or more pages or you can drop the A Gallery with any number of Albums in it onto a page.
You can add Music to it and it has an automatic (but basic) pan and scan feature.
SSP writes either the HTML or PHP code for you and you just drop it onto a webpage and attach a hyperlink to it and done.
When I thought of wanting to do this the other day and even when I woke up this morning I had no idea how I was going to do it. Now the pieces are all in place and functioning. Not for nothing but it is also 1000 times faster, especially in the upload, to photoshop.com (sorry, but the PSC upload process is painful).
The hardest part was linking SSP to my webhost (Network Solutions) database. But their tools and wizard were easy enough to get through it without support.

  • Organizer PSE 8 Catolog to PSE11?

How do I convert, or use, my PSE 8 catalog in PSE 11?
    Thanks,
    Jim Curione
Please send any help to [email protected] as well as in this forum.
    Message was edited by: jimimaxi1

If both PSE8 and PSE11 are on the same computer, the PSE11 Organizer should automatically search for older version catalogs and convert them to the new catalog version. If it does not find itself, choose 'convert' from the catalog manager and browse to the location of the old catalog (to be found in the help file / system info of the PSE8 Organizer).
If you are changing OS, drive or computer, the normal way is to do a full backup and restore:

  • Automatisches Importieren in Organizer PSE 5.0 verhindern

    Hallo,

  • HELP & THANKS! Why does Hour Glass appear where all Thumb Nail Photos should be in Organizer PSE 9?

All of a sudden all new items imported into Adobe Photoshop elements  9 Organizer have an hour glass that is not moving instead of a thumbnail photograph. Update thumbnail does not seem to work. My operating system is Windows Vista. The photos are Jpeg and are on my hard drive. Some of these photos worked before with a thumb nail photo but do not now.  Thanks for any help! Anxiously waiting for an answer.

  • Adding notes in organizer (PSE 7)

I'm trying to organize my digital scrapbooking supplies in the organizer. Often times the items have the same notes, is there a way to mass update the notes just like there is a way to update the captions?
    Thanks!
    Anne

    Anne,
There is no way in the Organizer to update the notes of multiple photos at the same time.
However, if you find yourself adding the same caption or notes to many photos, that may be an indicator that a keyword tag would serve your purpose better. You can add detailed notes to the keyword tag itself.

    Hi Michael,
Can you please share a sample test file so that I can try this issue at my end?
Generally such type of issues may occur if the file being created has dimensions greater than a particular limit supported by EO. Try resizing image to a lower dimension (Image->Resize option) and see if it is shown fine in EO.

  • Quickly reconnecting large numbers of photos in PSE 6 and 7

[This is a significant revision of my message posted here on 2/8/2008 and in the Photoshop Elements 6.0 FAQ forum on 2/9/2008. It is split across two messages.]
    Part I of II
When you move photos from one location to another using Windows Explorer or some other tool outside of the Organizer, PSE reports those files as missing, and a question mark appears on the thumbnails in the Organizer. The File > Reconnect command can reconnect those files with their new location, but it can be very slow and sometimes only connects a few files at a time.
Its always best to move files and folders using the Organizer, avoiding the need to reconnect. But if youve already moved those files, here are some ways of coping in PSE 6 and 7:
    1. Move the files back to their original location using Windows Explorer. Then use the Organizers Display > Folder Location view or the File > Move command to move the files to the desired new location. In the left-hand folder pane of Folder Location view, you can drag and drop folders, just like in Windows Explorer (this isnt documented in the Help).
Since the File > Move command moves files to a single destination folder, its not that useful for working with more than one folder. The PSE 6 Move command also has a serious bug if you move a file to a folder that already has a file of the same name, the destination file gets permanently deleted. (Thats fixed in PSE 7.)
    2. Reconnect an entire folder all at once. If you cant or dont want to use the first method, you can use File > Reconnect > All Missing to reconnect more than one file at a time.
Its not immediately obvious, but the Reconnect > All Missing window can reconnect an entire folder of files all at once. On the left-hand side, under Files Missing from Catalog, click Select All. On the right side, under Locate the Missing Files, browse to the folder containing the files. A thumbnail of one of the files should be displayed. Click Reconnect, and all the files in the folder will be reconnected. If there are files in other folders remaining to be connected, theyll still be displayed on the left, and you can repeat the process.
    3. Reconnect an entire folder tree all at once. If youve moved an entire tree of folders and theyre now disconnected, you can persuade PSE to reconnect them all quickly.
    a. In Edit > Preferences > Files, select the option Automatically Search For And Reconnect Missing Files.
    b. Do File > Reconnect > Missing File to reconnect one file manually.
    c. Do File > Reconnect > All Missing. PSE will start searching near the folder containing the missing file you reconnected in step b, and it will usually find all the missing files within a couple of minutes of searching.
    d. If step c doesnt find all the missing files, or youre impatient, you can explicitly tell PSE where to search:
]i. Do Help > System Info and write down the folder location of your catalog.
    ]ii. Exit PSE.
]iii. Use Windows Explorer to navigate to the catalog folder.
]iv. Open the file rmf.3.cache in Notepad. This file was created in step b above. It contains the most recent folders in which you reconnected files (rmf = reconnected media folders), and the Reconnect command always searches these folders first before scanning the rest of your drives.
]v. Delete all of the contents of the file and add a single line containing the full path of root of the folder tree containing your photos. For example, if you moved the folder tree to E:\data\photos, add that as a single line to the file.
    ]vi. Save the file.
]vii. Restart PSE and do File > Reconnect All Missing again. It should first search the folder tree you provided in step v.

<i>Part II of II</i><br /><br /><b>4. Reconnect folders residing on a network drive.</b> If youve moved folders that originally resided on one network drive to another network drive, the Organizer will treat them as offline rather than missing, and it will show a red circle with a vertical line in the corner of the thumbnails.   An offline file is one that might show up later on, such as when you reconnect your laptop to the network containing your file server or you insert a DVD containing your archived photos.<br /><br />Since the moved files are offline, the PSE 6 Reconnect All Missing command wont do anything but tell you there are no files to reconnect.  You can force PSE to reconnect many offline files at once:<br /><br />a. Select all the photos that are offline.<br /><br />b. Do File > Write Keyword Tag and Properties Info.<br /><br />c. In the Find Offline Volumes window that pops up, select Reconnect and click OK.<br /><br />Unfortunately, method 3 doesnt appear to work with offline files on a network drive.  If you have a large number of individual folders and dont have the patience to reconnect each folder in turn, you can either use method 1 (restore the files to their original location) or recreate the original UNC name for the network drive (e.g. \\mycomputer\share).  (You could also try editing the catalog file using the tool sqlite3  search these forums for how to do it.  But thats sketchy at best.) <br /><br />------------------------------------<br />If you reconnect a file and get the message <old file> was not connected to <new file> or The file already exists in the catalog, then youve stumbled over a PSE bug for which there are workarounds.   See this thread:<br /><br /><a href="/webx?14@@.59b66777/5">John Rolfe Ellis, "Cannot Reconnect; File already exists" #6, 17 Sep 2008 2:49 pm</a><br /><br />------------------------------------<br />I havent tested any this in PSE 5, so I cant say how much works the same way.
