Photobook-jpg-email

Made a photobook in iPhoto. Saved as pdf. Picked a few pages and saved as jpg images in a Word file. Want to send it as attachment with e-mail. But it's too heavy. I (try to) compress all images to 150 ppt. But nothing happens. It remains far too heavy... Any suggestions?

How do I stop y jpg email file from going to word?

    Hi Chiogirl,
I can understand the frustration. While it's not an Adobe/Acrobat problem, I think I can point you in the right direction. You'll want to choose a different application as the default for opening JPEG images. If you're on Windows, see Change which programs Windows uses by default - Windows Help. If you're on Mac OS, see How to change the default application for a file type | Macworld.
If you're continuing to have problems, you'll want to contact the manufacturer of your operating system.
    Best,
    Sara

  • Saving jpg email to camera roll

Two inbound photos in icloud emails NOT JPGs had the option of selecting camera roll when pressed in the center and held down... However another one , the JPG, did not come into the same icloud mailbox but came into another email box on same ipad 4 and did not have camera roll option when pressed. There were only 3 options and those were not camera roll.  As I am typing this, if there is no way to get a non icloud attachment into camera roll should I attempt to forward it to icloud  so then it might be offered the camera roll option?  Would this have to be done to all "outside" attachments?

It is vichara posting and I am sorry... The jpg was a PDF.  Discovered that when I sent it from the non-icloud email box into the icloud one.  It still would not open however.  So same problem exists.

  • JPG's saved using Photoshop and emailed to mobile phones will not open

I am using CS5 on a Mac OSX.
I am pretty proficient with Photoshop and have been using this version for several years. This may not be a new situation, I may just have discovered it.
I have emailed from Outlook to two different iPhone (both 5's) and an Android phone. I don't know what the message was on the Android but on the iPhone it starts downloading then displays a greyed out box labeled "mime-attachment".
I have tried changing the file size. I have tried 8 and 16 bit settings.
There isn't any problem opening the files on notebooks and desktop computers.
If I import the file into iPhoto (a Mac program for managing and editing photos) and then resave it, the jpgs email perfectly.
    Any ideas?

Thank Imransim, looking at the mime threat it gave me an idea to try another approach. I tried sending the files using Hotmail and they emailed and were received perfectly.
Conclusion is that the problem is Outlook on my Mac. I will get someone else to use Outlook and send a file saved in Photoshop to my mobile and will report back.

  • Radio button variable not being emailed through php file.

    Dear Forum,
I have a contact form in a AS 2.0 file that sends the form data just fine to my email. But it doesn't send the radio button selection variable.
I am definately doing something wrong here.  Either with the setup of the radio buttons in flash, or with the php file.
I was wondering if someone can tell me the error in my ways.
I have included a screenshot of flash page, download link with all files, and the php code below.
Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

    $headers = "From: " . $_POST["firstName"] ." ". $_POST["lastname"] . "<" .

    $_POST["industry"];
    mail($sendTo, $subject, $body, $headers);

I solve that problem, you also have to add the property
    radioButton1.setOnClick("common_timeoutSubmitForm(this.form, 'rbID');");
and with this method will call the othe method :D
Hope this is not too latte. :D

  • Mail not decoding .jpg attachment properly

When I receive a .jpg email attachment, sometimes the picture will be displayed properly and sometimes I get a ? mark. What is strange is sometimes I can reopen a message with a .jpg attachment and it will then display the image correctly or sometimes doing so on a message that previously would result in displaying a ? mark, it will then display the image properly. So it seems random although I get more ? marks then properly displayed images. I don't recall having this problem with my older itouch.

I have the exact same issue.
Since upgrading I can no longer view jpg images sent by email from my security camera system.  They used to be shown within the message, but since the upgrade to Yosemite they're not shown in the message anymore.
When I try opening the attachment after I have saved it, it says it may be damaged or use a file format that Preview doesn't recognize.
I wonder if it has something to do with the file name
Here is an example - 02_20141022141258.jpg
I have no issues viewing the images on my iPhone or iPad

  • Dispute Case attachments: CMS, DMS, RMS, ArchiveLink... Confused!

    Hi,
We're starting to implement SAP Collections & Dispute Mgmt. One of the things that excited our business users on the SAP solution was the ability to attach unlimited (word, pdf, jpg, email, etc) files directly to the Dispute case. However, we have a large volume of disputes and estimate to wish to attach an annual total of ~500,000 files, ~200Gb directly to Dispute cases.
But I'm confused as to the options we have in doing this and the potential pros/cons related to those options. From the documentation I have found, I see references to SAP DMS (Document Management System), SAP CMS (Content Management System), SAP RMS (Records Management System), SAP ArchiveLink, and also SAP integration "3rd party DMS solutions" (whatever those are...)
Is SAP CMS & SAP RMS the same thing?
Has anyone implemented a 3rd party DMS solution? If so, what were the benefits of this over the SAP solutions?
Has anyone else implemented Disputes with a large volume of attachements?
Many thanks in advance for those of you with knowledge & experience in this area,
    JJ

    Hi,
DisP.Mgt uses RMS as base so when you link objects in UDM_DISPUTE then you already using RMS. Archivelink & CMS are connected to RMS so if you create an archivelink document in UDM_DISPUTE, you would be creating an archivelink document in ARL already.CMS is in the base for managing content. This is done for all RMS objects & would already be set up. What is means is that if you store say a archivelink documetn then meta data is stored in sap DB but content sits in content server. This content server can be SAP own or 3rd-party. Same goes for RMS objects like cases, records, editable documents.

  • Hotmail help says to optimize Firefox to correct Attachment ID has bad format problem when there is not attachment - how do I optimized Firefox 3.6.12?

Several day ago my Hotmail acct seemed to be hacked as the following email
''I think this is a nice website,I like it very much.If you have time please browse it.Maybe you can find some products that are suitable for you.Their priciple is :100% original and brand new,100% satisfied! Their address http://dpzc.net/#512.com/img/26_qtr.jpg/

was sent to my entire address book, and now when I try to sent a hotmail I get an error message saying Attachment Id Has Bad Format, even though there is no attachment. (This problem does not happen in IE8)
I did Hotmail help and their response was ''''I advise you to optimize your browser. If you have a browser that’s not Internet Explorer, you can visit its Help section.''''
How do I optimize Firefox 3.6.12?
or what other suggestions do you have

Delete any traces of Silverlight from your HD, you will be able to send attachments normally thereafter.

  • What software do I need to run all my website work on my new Apple Macbook

I run my Naval-History.Net site on my new Apple Mac running Windows software with Parallels. The software I use is WORD, EXCEL, PAINT, FRONTPAGE, and COFFEECUP FTP
I have just ordered iWorks which I believe allows me to work on my WORD and EXCEL files. Please recommend low-cost software that can substitute for PAINT, FRONTPAGE and an FTP.
I can't wait to get everything on to my Apple.
    Many thanks

You will find iWork a brilliant package for websites.
Learn about Keynote, in particular the graphic capabilities. Take particular note of the ability to build a layered graphic and then export it to tiff, gif, png. But also the ease with which you can add shadows, reflections, do masks, remove backgrounds (alpha), layer text/graphics ... etc.
Export from Keynote as TIFF, then use ImageWell (free image app) to crop and easily get them to a sensible file size.
If you particularly want to edit HTML pages, there are free HTML editors - see VersionTracker.com.
There is always iWeb for web pages. However, given the amount of content you have on your site, do yourself a big favour and try one of the free blogs at wordpress.com. You can create not just a blog (think regular updates as you find new naval history information), but you can also create as many web pages as you want. And no ftp required. You can pay $10 to upgrade to use your own domain. You won't look back.
If you do stay with html/ftp, you can use scp (secure copy) from the Terminal in Leopard to upload. Its a command line tool, but more secure than ftp (basic ftp sends your username/password in the clear text, creating the potential to be hacked).
    $ scp file.jpg [email protected]:/yourhtmldirectory
That said, CyberDuck is a good free ftp program for Mac.

  • Problem with inserting images

So I'm extremely new to DW but I've got the basics down. I've got my web server and a local folder which I sync to/from. Everything is working fine becides the images. When I upload an image to "/images" using Filezilla, and refresh the window in DW, it appears there as normal and I can confirm that the image is on my server. However, once I drag/drop it onto the blank HTML document, save it, and load my page via Chrome and Firefox, the image is always broken. If I use the path from my hard drive, "C:/Users/*Name*/Documents/local_files/frizkie/images/banner.jpg" it shows up in Chrome or FF just fine. I've inserted the image, used the pickwhip to direct it's path to my image, and I've tried using absolute path - but when i change the path to the absolute one, the image breaks then and there inside DW.
    Any ideas?

Yes the path to my default image folder is correct and my image is in there. My image is also in the correct file on the server:
    Local:
    C:\Users\*Name*\Documents\local_sites\frizkie\images\banner.jpg
    Remote:
I noticed that if I right-click my image in Filezilla and click copy URL, it comes up with this:
    ftp://[email protected]/images/banner.jpg//[email protected]/images/banner.jpg
but when I paste that into the target like so:
    <img src="ftp://[email protected]/images/banner.jpg//[email protected]/images/banner.jpg" width="750" height="100" />
the image breaks then and there in DW.
    otherwise, the remote path is
    /images/banner.jpg

  • Photoshop CS5: Layers... GONE!!!

I created a document with multiple layers... saved as a PSD.  no problem.
Saved a pair of copies, under different names, even.
Saved as a jpg, emailed said jpg to people.
Later, go back in PS CS5, open the original PSD.  There's one single background layer, as if I'd flattened the original.  Ditto for ALL of the copies.
This is a very serious problem... have to make changes to the text, and, basically, I'm looking at re-building the entire thing from the ground up... any suggestions, folks?
    Little help...

Your answer only makes sense if I had one single copy of the psd document.  I made three, and made all three before creating a jpg from the third version.
Here's the process.  Created document.  Saved as File1.psd, with about 22 layers.  Changed absolutely nothing.  Then saved as File2.psd with same layers.  Changed absolutely nothing again.  Then File3.psd with same layers.  On File3.psd, I removed two of the text layers, resaved the document with the same name, then saved as a jpg.
Couple hours later, opened up File3.psd, and it was flattened, just had the single background layer.  Opened File1.psd, same thing, the layers were gone, replaced by the single background layer.  Ditto for File2.psd.
No mistake was made.  I didn't flaten anything, at any time.  And I don't understand how making one copy into a jpg could possibly make the other two psd copies flatten at the same time.
I know I am repeating here, but I did NOT, at any time, flatten a single layer, in ANY of the three separate copies of the document.
Even if, somehow, I did, in fact, mistakenly flatten the layers in the third version, how could the other two individually saved versions of the document end up with the same flattening?
Please don't answer this by saying, yet again, that I made an error, because I really didnt.  I made three versions very specifically to have a back up in case of any errors.  They're not even saved in the same folder on my Mac.  One is on a network drive, the other two are in separate folders on the Mac's hard drive.

  • Email attachments download as ashx for Microsoft Outlook, instead of jpg, pdf, doc, etc. Tried to fix in Preferences Applications but still doesn't work.

Using MacBook Pro running 10.5.8. Downloaded Firefox 8 on 11/9/11 and now Microsoft Outlook Web App 2010 downloads all email attachments as "attachment.ashx" instead of jpg, pdf, etc. This was not a problem with previous Firefox releases which I've been using for the past couple of years. Can open files if I edit the extension to the proper variety (ashx to jpg for example), but no longer initially automatically opens. Instead I first get a "can't open this file" message.  Attempted to fix in Firefox > Preferences > Applications by indicating the proper "Actions" for various "Content Types" but this had no effect. Chrome and Safari browsers still work properly. How can I fix this?

    Hi,
I'm sorry you are having this problem, here is another post about the same problem, where the cause of the problem is described:
    https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/questions/894442
A bug has been filed to track resolution of the issue here, because a true fix isn't yet available:

    I apologize for the inconvenience.

  • How can I send a jpg picture file to someone so that they can download it and use it?  I can send a picture in an Email, but they can't open it

How can I send a jpg of a photograph to someone so that they can download the file and use it to put into an article?  I can send it in an Email, but there doesn't seem to be a way for the recipient to extract the jpg from the Email

If the person is using a pc, make sure the picture has the suffix .jpg

  • I use Outlook for my email on the Safari web browser, and about 90% of the time when I want to attach a pdf or jpg file the email message will crash.

I use Outlook for my email on the Safari web browser, and about 90% of the time when I want to attach a pdf or jpg file it fails and about 50% of the time when I want to send a standard text massage it will also fail and the email massage crashes. The only way I can get my Outlook to work is if I switch to Firefox web browser. I would rather not switch to a new web browser if I don't have to.
It seems like what ever the problem is that its related the Safari web browser, because it works fine on the Firefox web browser.
I think its some kind of plug-in failure because it giving me a LOC ERROR:
LOC ERROR: Unable to locate localized string for resource ID 5007.
How can I fix this Plug-in?
And, yes my softwer is conpletly updated…

That's an Outlook issue. You'll probably get better responses posting on the Office for Mac forums.
