Photobook questions [Was: My question is -]

this is my first photo book and I need to move page 44 & 45 to just before page 59 how do I do this?
Also as there are no templates for 6,8 or 12 photos per page how can I have only this number to take up the whole page?

I'm not sure what version you are using, I use LR5.2 and you can do the following:
- Move a page by clicking anywhere in the margins and drag it to where you want it to go;
- For multiple photos, add a new page and choose "Multiple Photos" from the down arrow next to the page display,
then select the layout you want. There are 6,12 plus more layouts but no 8.
You may want to expirement with the size of the book as different book sizes have different placements and number of photos per page.

There is no "save" in iPhoto - everything you do is saved (sometimes you have to click done)

Photobook Question

I'm creating some photo books with Shared Ink and I was hoping for some advice. My first book came out great using the following process. I have all my photos in Lightroom in RAW format. My usual process is to export the pictures as Level 12 JPGs and then I import the photos into InDesign and layout an entire book. Since Shared Ink only takes the pages as hi res jpgs, I then make PDFs of each page and rasterize each of them into hi res JPGs with photoshop.
My main question is, when I first export my photos from Lightroom, should I be exporting Tifs at 16 bits instead of JPGs?

My first photobook experience was an expensive disaster.

I made my wife a 100 page photo book for Xmas and I'm baffled by how bad a lot of the pictures looked. I did some research prior to making it, to make sure that I got the most out of it. I carefully touched up and adjusted many of the pictures and spent a long time getting it all organized. When I got it back from Apple, I was STUNNED at how badly it looked. When A/B'ing the pictures I sent vs. the pictures in the book, many times there is NO comparison.
For instance, on one picture of my son's hospital baby picture, I had touched it up so that his skin looked perfect, and the contrast was just right. The picture in the book shows every single blemish, has tons of red shading all over his face, etc. And on many of the pictures, this is the case. Our skin looks red and flushed, the slightest pimple looks like leprosy! It looks like someone put white bad stage make up on our faces, etc. I just can't believe it. I even tried to duplicate the problem in iPhoto by slamming the contrast, etc and I can't. I have no clue how my awesome images could looks so bad.
That being said, some of the images look really good. They look as they should at least. I just can't figure out how some images of the same resolution could turn out great, while others looks completely different.
This book cost me just over $100, and I can almost bet that I'm stuck with it. It's so bad that I'm toying with the idea of having another vendor print it up, and tossing this one. These are precious memories stored in book form that we will hopefully have forever, and to always have to explain why the images looks so poorly every time someone looks at it, isn't something I particularly want to do.
Any advice? I could scan some of these pix from the book, and upload them along with the pix I actually uploaded if it helps.

I emailed Apple yesterday via the form, and without question of hesitation they refunded my money! $125! I was shocked. I'm happy they did. However, I would love to know how to avoid this in the future. Why on some pictures my face looks super red, when it shouldn't... or why my baby's face looks rashy in the book, when I touched it up and got rid of that stuff, is beyond me. I'd REALLY like to know how to avoid this next time. I expect some kind of difference between actual photos, and what's printed. But not to the point where my origs look great, yet the book has our faces look like we have bad stage make up on them, or super red, or every single blemish stand out like a sore thumb. I will say that there are many other pictures that turned out just fine, and I edited them no differently.
Very strange.
I may do a guinea pig test on some of the ones that I know looked like crap, have a book done via Apple of just a couple pages, then have the same one done by MyPublisher to compare. I may also send modified, and unmodified pictures of same shots too. I shouldn't have to spend a bunch of money to figure out what is causing it, but I might have to spend SOME anyway.

Can I order a duplicate copy of a photobook I was given as present?

I didn't have anything to do with the creation of the photobook but would like to get a second smaller copy. Really liked the original but don't know if it's possible to re-order without having created it myself.
Is it possible to get a second copy?

Moving photos in "Fotos",-photobook

In Iphoto, making photobooks, it was possible to move photos from one frame to another. Now I can't do that in the new version of Fotos.
Why make a good program bad?

It is still possible to move photos between frames. I tried again, and I can drag photos from one photos box to any other photos box on any of the other pages. I hold down on one photo and drag it to another photos box, while viewing all pages. In what way does this not work for you?

Lightroom Photobook issue - undoing a saved book?

I am using Lightroom 4.3.   I am using it on a PC.   In the past, I have used Blurb booksmart to make a photobook.   However, since Lightroom 4 offered it, I decided to make a photobook within Lightroom. Before starting, I put my photos in a Collection set which contained multiple collections in order of the what I wished to appear in the photobook. I started populating the photobook from the collection set.   As I was finishing for the day, I did not know whether it should be saved or not.   So I saved it under "create saved book".   It saved it as a book. By the way, I did not know where to save the photobook so I saved it within the collection set.
I then went back to the collection set and suddenly something was happening.   Afterward, I noted that the auto layout was putting this collection into a photobook, plus all the other collections within the collection set.   I do not now seem to be able to undo it.   Also every collection is locked into a separate photobook - though an unsaved version.   I now do not seem able to access the photos in the collection set.
After saving my original photobook which was not complete, I had wanted to go into the rest of the collection folders within the collection set and continue to populate the photobook with the photos.   However, I do not seem to be able to finish the original photobook as after the auto layyout, each of the collections are now in the initial stages of being a photobook themselves.
Can anyone help me please.

I had the same problem - and eventually worked out a pretty simple answer! :-)
You'll see a folderfor your saved book, which will indicate the number of images stored with it. In Library mode, just drag the additional images to the book folder and you'll see the number increase accordingly.
It's pretty smart too - and doesn't seem to duplicate images if you drag an existing image into the book folder.

He said do not mess with that ! then I got a text from somewhere to reset 4 pins suddenly it was very strange I said to him that I got this pin this morning but it said you can use maximum 3 hours it had a UK number and I told him I do not like this and will not enter the code he said do not do it if it is from the UK and then I said to him ok you did a lot to help but we can not go any further ! and we cut of I went back to my computer to re do the ID but I found everything a mess so I call and a stupid sounding Japanese women with a squeaky voice came on I was calm at first and they want your phone number your IMEI number your iPhone serial number date of birth Address email address it takes 10 munutes to check then they ask what are you caling about so I try to explain my keychain is broken or problems with language security questions and can not change my pasword because the security question have failed me so it is ONE BIG HEADACHE AND I START I GET STRESSED she says Do want an ENGLISH speaker ,I say yes ,that guy i talked to earlier but I never got his name and first time I ever talked to him but they said he is not here so I said ok and then she said today is sunday so call back in the morning ,I said ,well ok in Japanese but they make you feel stupid because they do not want to speak Jap@anese with none natives and they are to busy,And they feel that I should not bother them ,then I say that Apple Japan is trying to refuse Apple foreign customers and then she wants to hang up and ask me to visit the shop ,but they are the same I have a very bad time with Apple Japan since they do not discuss software problems or security with customer meaning if you have a problem they ask you to come on a time 20 minutes max so they do hardware test and say you phone is fine then I say no I can not reset my ID they say you must call call centre so I am going around in circles ,When I call English it is usually Australia so if my problem is in Japan surely if do not want me to talk to them in Japanese and they ask me to call Australia but every time my call charge is expensive after asking them is this free because I have Apple care they say yes but when the call goes to Australia 0120 277 535 it might change to paid call so I call then I have to ask is this charging they say we can not give you that information ! so what can I do I have have been at the computer and phone all day on my day off work and in tre week I am so busy and can not use my phone I can not work without it ,this new technology for you ,they can not cope with the fact that the customer have problems yet they do not want to deal with us because they can not solve it and so it shows them to be useless they like to walk around in their cool tee shirts and retro shop but when it comes to functionality we are unwelcome they got the money so do not return because apple is perfect that nothing should go wrong .
But it does somehow my English security answers do not work on a Japanese Question especialy if I did not choose that question I set up the multiple choice In English and wrote the answers in English or Roman and set them langauge preferences in English, do you really think you can correctly write english name or word in Japanese they write a police patrol car pato caa パトカア　they do not have r and l .So it is my choice to make my security easy for me and as difficult for others to hack.But they also have patororoo choo meaning ' now patrolling ' so why they have pato caa patrol car and patoro patrol and have thousands of Chinese words kanji they can find patrol.
I am getting off the topic but I am at a loss to fix this problem when they hold the keys and i have all the info to verify my ID.

If you didn't establish a rescue email address, you will need to call applecare support. Ask for account security to reset your security questions. After the advisor is able to verify your identity, they can reset your security questions.

I have just bought a App Store gift card and I redeemed it. When I was going to buy an app that cost money a notification popped up that said I need to answer my security questions. I made my account a long time ago and have forgotten the answers

I forgot the answers to my security questions so I sent the email to my rescue email to reset the questions. I got the email and pressed Verify Now and it redirected me to the apple site where I would put in my Apple ID and password. I put it in correctly as I have checked that I'm using the right ID and password. I have even reset my password just in case I had put in my old one wrong. everytime it still says I have an invalid adress (which it is obviously not) and I don't know what to do. I don't want to waste the money I just put into my account.
