Photobooth has no video controls

I've used Photobooth successfully in the past, but today I launched it, and I can't play the video clips in my library. Why not? There are no controls to do so.
Everything else works fine. I can see the thumbnails at the bottom of the screen. I can export them to other programs. I can 'Reveal in Finder'. I can even record new clips properly.
But if I select the clip at the foot of the screen, then move the pointer to the black area where the movie would appear - nothing. No controls, no playback. Hitting the space bar doesn't do anything either.
I'm sure I'm missing something really obvious, but what?

Since you bought the g-4 at a great deal. Sure go for the upgrade.
My g-4 466 DA came with a dog of a video card. 16 MB VRAM...sick...The only card that will work in the g-4 DA is the ATI 9200 AGP card. I did buy a better crad at the time from ATI. It was a PCI card and wouldn't work...
I did upgrade to 1.2 GHz. Was easy to install....10 minutes. I think you can...and may be wrong. You may be able to upgrade it to a dual procressor...
Watch out when buying HDs. There a 128 gig brickwall on the size of the HD. Meaning, if you buy a 160 gig hard drive. Your computer will see only 128 gigs. Losing 32 gigs in never never land. The only work around this this is to use a PCI card that you can hook up hard drives to. I have no idea if you hook up a firewire HD, if this will go past the 128 gig brickwall.....

IPad Videos touchscreen unresponsive to show video controls

Hello,
I've searched the archives thoroughly on this one and have found others with the same problem, but no solution. When using the Videos app, after a video has been playing for more than a couple of seconds the touchscreen becomes completely unresponsive, and I cannot bring up the video controls (pause, etc.) The only option I have at this point is the home button.
Has anyone else had this problem and found a solution?
BTW my iOS version is 3.2.1.

Last night I downloaded flipboard and I messed up the window order (prompt should have been active but the app behind the alert prompt was actually active, really strange) and i count not use the touchscreen at all even when I left the app. I toggled the screen and it all came back.

Video Control Bar in Flash Displays on HD but Not From Webserver

I am using Flash Pro 8 - putting FLV files in SWF files using
Flash Pro 8 and then "publishing" to Html and SWF to a location on
my hard drive.
When I display the webpage from my Hard Drive from where ever
on my hard drive I initially published to from Flash 8 Pro -
everything works fine - videos play and video control bar shows and
works.
When I publish this website to web server the video displays
and plays but NO Video Controller Bar (at bottom of the video)
shows at all.
Symptom: when I make an Html, SWF and FLA file into a folder
on my hard drive and display them in the browser the video control
bar shows. When I copy those three files into the hard drive
website in FrontPage, the video shows but the video control bar
does not.
So, I re-made the Html, SWF, and FLA files and put them
directly into the FrontPage website (on my hard drive) then
everything works fine when I use broswer (IE 6 or Firefox). z
But, when I publish the hard drive website to the remote
website hosting company, the video control bar disappears -
everything else works fine (video shows OK just no video controller
bar.)
My guess is that the SWF file has a non-relative URL
reference concerning the video control bar and when the three files
(Html, SWF and FLA) are moved to new location then that
non-relative address rears its head.
I should NOT publish from Flash 8 Pro directly to remote
webserver as it has FrontPage Extensions and does not like to talk
to FTP changes to website not coming from FrontPage client.
is my guess right? What to do?????

Remove Video Controls and add Replay button on page

I am trying to create a page in Adobe Edge that loads a video without any controls (play, slider bar, volume, full screen) and then displays a replay button after the video finishes which will start it from the beginning.
Currently I am able to load the video file and have it play to the end and stop, but I can't seem to get a replay button working. I also can't find a way to disable controls on the video so they do not show.
Here is the code I am using to load the video:

As you can see, I tried a few ways of disabling the controls, and I also tried adding the replay function to the button itself, but neither of those worked. Any advice or information on controlling the video control display and replay function in Adobe Edge would be very helpful.

In case anyone is interested in the replay button, I was able to find code that worked:

myVideo.currentTime = 0;
myVideo.play();
This is executed when the replay button is clicked. Just be sure to set the video in question's ID to "activeVideo".
I am still unable to turn off the controls on the video. It seems like some of the code I have tried should work, but I haven't had success yet.
I've tried all of the following:

I gotta say that while I appreciate Keynote's ability to handle large file sizes and embed media, I baulk at a single file of 4GB.
Having discovered my file has blown out to that size, I would likely choose a spot to split the file and do my best to seamlessly move from one stack to the next. We will have to wait for the engineering team to return hyperlinking between stacks which was removed in Keynote 6, so as to make the transition between stacks much easier and semi-automatic.
My fear with a file size this big is a crash, and then waiting for it to load in when Keynote restarts. I'm guessing you're doing lots of "can I break this file" testing before unleashing it on your audience.
I always wondered when Apple did its 500 slide keynotes at Macworld or WWDC if it swapped stacks during the live demos. No doubt there are multiple redundancies built into their "just has to work" presentations, but still, we've seen these things fall over when Steve J. was doing the keynotes. Remember when he told the story of Woz controlling TV sets with a remote, while Jobs waited for his presentation to be restored? Was it 2008?

Flash video in Full Screen, missing video controls

In the latest version of firefox 17, when i switch flash videos to full screen, the video doesnt show the video controls, which allow you to play/ pause the video or see how much time of the video has gone. It is there when i press back and return to the minimized version.. but for some videos when you minimize after full screen the video starts showing several colours instead of the video.

Update, This issue is still happening in the latest version of Firefox for android. Please check it up.

I have an AVI file I inserted onto a slide in CP5.5.
How do I get controls on the embedded AVI file (converted using the Adoble media encoder) so that the person going through my CBT has control over watching the video?

Technically, Captivate should be the video controls. You can allow certain functions for the viewer using the Skin Editor. If you want to be able to slide the playbar from beginning to end without encountering any other elements, just put the video into its own slide.

Video controls for placed SWF video

Hi all,
I placed a number SWF videos into my site (as I did not want to follow the embed HTML method) which has given me the desired effect I wished to achieve, the only problem is that the placed SWF videos do not come with a set of video controls (Play, Stop FFW etc)
Does anyone know if it is possible to achieve this, maybe by inserting some HTML, if so would anyone have an example of the code required. If not I would happy to hear any alternative suggestions of how to include a video within your site that includes video control (without the need to host the video on YouTube etc)

Video controls dissappear when swf is put on web

I've got a simple SWF file that points to an flv on our
website. When I test the file on my machine it plays fine, with the
controls underneath. When I upload the swf to our website and play
it from there the controls disappear.
I've even tried publishing an html page that only has the SWF
file on it and uploading that. Again, it plays fine when I open the
html file from my machine, but as soon as it's on the website and I
navigate to it, no controls. The video plays fine, but I would
really like the controls to be there.

Nevermind. I figured out what the problem was myself.
Apparently when you use one of the default video control skins it
makes a second .swf file that contains the controls, which has to
be in the same directory or you can point to a URL where it's
located.

Just tested something and it worked.
If I put the headphones all the way in, the mac recognizes it as a digital output.
But if i don't put it all the way in, it recognizes it as headphones and works perfectly.
It's probably this crappy headphones.
If anyone has the same problem, try this out.

It would have saved to your camera roll. Connect the phone to your Air via a USB cable and then run Image Capture which is located either in your Utilities folder or Other folder, depending on what version of Mac OS X your are running. You will then see all the photos and videos stored on your iPhone and can then download them.

Apple TV only supports HDMI. It doesn't sound like it is an HDTV, even if you use an adapter there is no guarantee it would work and even then you would not be able to watch HDCP content (i.e. iTunes, Netflix etc).
If the TV is not widescreen and/or doesn't support at least 720P you will also have issues around that.
