Photobucket and Myspace

All right guys, I've had this problem for sometime now, and it's finally gotten on my nerves.
I have a MacBook that was purchased about a year ago. Everything works fine, best hardware I've ever bought. However, for some reason, Safari has a hard time displaying pictures; mainly pictures from forums, photobucket, and myspace.
For example, say I search for "football" on photobucket. When the results page comes up, about two pictures appear, and then it takes FOREVER trying to load the pictures, then the program gives out and all I get are those blue boxes with the question mark in place of the pics.
I have downloaded Camino and Firefox, and the problem persists. Like I said, my internet connection is fast, everything works great, but for some reason pics just won't show up. Any idea as to what the problem may be?

Im having troble logginf in to myspace, photobucket and etc, why is this? it seems to be happening with mozilla alot.

I have had a similar problem with my system. I just recently (within a week of this post) built a brand new desktop. I installed Windows 7 64-bit Home and had a clean install, no problems. Using IE downloaded an anti-virus program, and then, because it was the latest version, downloaded and installed Firefox 4.0. As I began to search the internet for other programs to install after about maybe 10-15 minutes my computer crashes. Blank screen (yet monitor was still receiving a signal from computer) and completely frozen (couldn't even change the caps and num lock on keyboard). I thought I perhaps forgot to reboot after an update so I did a manual reboot and it started up fine.
When ever I got on the internet (still using firefox) it would crash after anywhere between 5-15 minutes. Since I've had good experience with FF in the past I thought it must be either the drivers or a hardware problem. So in-between crashes I updated all the drivers. Still had the same problem. Took the computer to a friend who knows more about computers than I do, made sure all the drivers were updated, same problem. We thought that it might be a hardware problem (bad video card, chipset, overheating issues, etc.), but after my friend played around with my computer for a day he found that when he didn't start FF at all it worked fine, even after watching a movie, or going through a playlist on Youtube.
At the time of this posting I'm going to try to uninstall FF 4.0 and download and install FF 3.6.16 which is currently on my laptop and works like a dream. Hopefully that will do the trick, because I love using FF and would hate to have to switch to another browser. Hopefully Mozilla will work out the kinks with FF 4 so I can continue to use it.
I apologize for the lengthy post. Any feedback would be appreciated, but is not necessary. I will try and post back after I try FF 3.16.6.

Since upgrading to Firefox 4 every time I open or refresh a page everything freezes and I have to wait a minute or so for it to respond again. I'm also having problems with uploading to Photobucket and watching things via Youtube since the upgrade.

Since upgrading to Firefox 4.0 a couple of days ago, every time I open or reload a page the whole browser freezes. At first I thought it might be down to compatibilty issues with other programmes open at the time, but as the problem has persisted when those programmes aren't open I'm starting to think it's the browser itself and it's getting extremely frustrating having everything freeze every time I want to change a page.
My other problem is twofold: with Youtube nothing plays at all because the toolbar with the play/pause option simply isn't there and I am unable to access the upload function on Photobucket because likewise it won't appear. I'm assuming this has something to do with Flash but have no idea how to fix it.

hello, often such issues are caused by a firewall/security software which doesn't recognize & therefore blocks new firefox versions. please remove all program rules for firefox from your firewall and let it detect the new version of the browser again.

IPhoto 08 and myspace

any thoughts on why i can upload pictures from iPhoto 08 to myspace? when i hit the browse button and click the select button on the picture i have chosen, nothing happens. what's up with that?

I assume that you CAN'T upload photos
The basic answer is to export them to a desktop folder and access them from there

App Install error with iTunes 7.7 (Facebook and MySpace Apps)

Whenever I try to sync either the Facebook or MySpace apps from the App Store, I receive the following error:
The application "Facebook" was not installed on the iPhone "Ray's iPhone" because an unknown error occurred (0xE8000013).
and
The application "MySpace" was not installed on the iPhone "Ray's iPhone" because an unknown error occurred (0xE8000013).
I've tried deleting and redownloading the apps multiple times. Anyone else had this problem or gotten around it?

I downloaded a few free apps also and it didn't take. When I tried downloading it again it said that it's already downloaded and I have to sync the phone up with iTunes and click Store -> Check for purchases.
Well I did that, but the Store is still down so it didn't sync it with the phone. I'll keep trying.

Adobe FP and MySpace vids : a bug story ?

First of all, please forgive me if my english is not brilliant, or if explanations are not clear. If you don't understand, just ask, I'll do my best. Thks.
Since a month, more or less, I cannot see anymore MySpace videos. I don't know why, and have been asking to the help team (but maybe... there's "no" help team in MS... ...) so many times without any answer. Asked and looked for, many places. Here is my last chance ! ^^
Here are the.. "symptoms" :
° I cannot read MS videos. (only these, I can see all other, as youtube, etc). There is a centered logo, turning as a wheel, and nothing starts :
or, recently :
° when I right -click on the video space, a little window for FP parameters appears, but it is frozen, I cannot change anything :
..impossible to clik on other little icons, nor close.
° I'm on a MAC (Macbook Core2Duo, Leo 10.5.7, using usually Firefox 3.5.2, no viruses detected, all apps & plugins uptaded, regularly cleaned, anti-spyware, enough available space (32 Go), etc...).
° This bug appears also if I use Safari (4.0.2), or Opera (10.00). This is why I think it might be a problem with my configuration, not with the browser itself.
° I have checked in my Internet plugins, thinking there could be an incompatibility ; here are they :
(in "Disabled", there is "NP-PPC-Dir-Shockwave" ; why there, I don't know).
° I have checked in the system preferences / security : there is no blocking in the firewall for MySpace (cookies also accepted, etc). Checked also authorizations... Well, I sought nearly everywhere, but... I'm not informatician. v_v

In the meantime I did some other things. But nothing worked realy.
-I destalled completley from the adobe flashplayer and adobe shockwave player.
-Reinstalled Flash 10 but not the shockwave player, don't know if or whenever I will need that. Checked, but nothing helped.
-I saw in the adobe flashplayer 10 that I needed at least 2.33 Mhz Pentium 4 for that.
Somewhere else in the Adobe specs. 0.45 Mhz was demanded.... No need to follow that trail.
-I changed the codex to K-Lite complete edition. Nothing changed but left it that way.
-I changed my IE8 security settings for mediaplaying, a tip from a Myspace user. Did not help but I left it that way.
-I installed Chrome, the Google browser and got a message at playing time that Java was not running and flash was not loaded.
I was sure both were loaded and active. Chrome offered me an option to display the java script whitch showed 2 errors for
direct adressing url's. I learned from the script statements that the flashplayer was installed and ready. It was waiting
for content or the stream, confirmed by what I saw on my screen on Myspace.
At this moment I started thinking of my hardware and drivers. Because I had a YouTube full screen display problem 2 years ago.
-I looked for the Intel Graphics Express 965 Chipset driver and downloaded latest version.
Windows updates my system, but not this time.
Than I logged in for myspace and YES! There were the video's.
I logged in for an other site with suspected display problems, surrounding text suggested video's there, but not even a player showed.
Nothing had changed there yet... I unloaded the browsers and started IE8 again and the players showed there and video's started!

C5-00 and MySpace and Yahoo videos

This is just so crazy... The Nokia default browser ask me to login into Myspace. I don't have account on Myspace or on any other thousands of video and music websites. Every time I try to browse to myspace.com with the Nokia default browser I get the stupid registration and login page. No way to get any other page.
Then with Opera mobile browser I'm directed to the Myspace Polish site. No matter what I try. Using search engines to get to English Myspace does not work at all.
Who knows how to watch videos of Myspace with a Nokia default browser with no account of Myspace. TY!
And yes, Skyfire is not running due to high demand....

This issue is widespread and is related to the Bluetooth driver installed on the latest Nokia phones. I replaced an older model that had no problems pairing with my factory Bluetooth because I wanted to access the contact list, a feature that was not available in earlier models. My Bluetooth routinely disconnects when I travel near power lines, electric train lines, randomly etc. Nokia support has a set of standard responses that they provide that cannot fix the issue as it requires development to test and implement a fix. Presumably with the tie up with Microsoft and recent heavy losses the development budget has been cut to such a major extent that they will not be fixing obvious problems. My organisation has 4,000 staff and the poor response from Nokia about this issue has resulted in a transition plan to move away from Nokia mobile phones. This is very disappointing as in the past their products have always been the most reliable available. Nokia's final response to this software bug:

Safari and myspace/facebook/other sites. huge problems- Help

So safari does not load pictures on myspace/facebook well. If a page is full of pictures it takes literally like a half hour to make them all come up. and if they dont, its the little infamous question mark

Might be a cookies, cache, or extensions issue.
From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Privacy tab.
Click: Remove All Website Data
Then delete the cache.
Open a Finder window. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following
~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db
Click Go then move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
Quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that doesn't help, troubleshoot Safari extensions.
From the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that helped, turn one extension on then quit and relaunch Safari to test until you find the incompatible extension then click uninstall.

Since updating to FF15.0.1 I can't upload to Photobucket and updating Flashplayer locks my browser. Help?

The last two days, since updating to FF15.0.1 I've not been able to upload to Photobucket. Online research advises it's likely a Flashplayer issue but when I try to update Flashplayer FF locks up. The only site I've had this issue with is Photobucket.
I just used IE to update Flashplayer but uploads to Photobucket still fail. I posted a question with Photobucket support but no reply. I need help. Ideas?
I'm using XP home with all updates.

It turns out the problem was with Photobucket. They have solved the problem and all is good.

Podcast and MySpace?

Hi.
I've created one podcast so far, very simply made with garage band. its like a minute long. very simple. then i posted it with my free .mac trial account. i enjoy the ease of it. simply with one click its posted on my personal site.
well... it is just a trial and my question is if i can create a podcast with the assist of my Myspace? how would i go about it? is it still as simple?
Also...once this podcast is on my site and people can easily subscribe to it from the site, how can people find it on itunes? would they type in the url or what?

I think myspace requires mp3s, so you'd dump the podcast track, "Share to iTunes" and then use iTunes to convert the AIFF file to an mp3.

Flashplayer 9 and myspace

I am extremely frustrated! For some reason I cannot watch any
videos on myspace that people have uploaded to that site. However,
I can watch videos on youtube and other sites. The video doesn't
even load, once I press play the screen goes black and then a
frowny face that says "error" appears. I have uninstalled and
reinstalled the player and it didn't resolve the problem. It did
work at one time and I haven't made any changes to my computer that
I know of. Does anyone know why it will play every video except for
the ones that were uploaded thru myspace? Please reply.

i have the same problem , as does my wife on her computer,
this is all new as of updating to v9 of flash, and some goofy
changes done by myspace. i dont know exactly what has changed but
very few people have it. all i can think of is people behind
routers or proxies may be affected.i've been googling for almost a
month, and all these #$^&&^#$ pimp your myspace sites hog
up 90% of some 5 million results, great. myspace doesn't have squat
on their site about it, and i only found this thread through
google, searching the forums here after registering still wouldn't
yeild this thread, so i guess we're out of luck..

ITunes button for my website and myspace

hello there..
i am trying to find a button that i can add to my website and to myspace accout to show that i have a cd available through iTunes. a button that someone can push and they would be magically transported to the iTunes music store.
does such a button exist?

Well, I think I have your answer. If you go to itunes, and make your way through the music store to where your podcast is, and click the arrow nex to it so you get the full page description where your picture and episode listing is, right click on your image on select "copy iTunes Link" or something like that.

Safari and Myspace Login Issues

Is anyone else having trouble with myspace lately? It will let me login, but if I go to view my friends or check notifications, it signs me out, redirects me to Myspace.com, and instructs me to "Log in to continue." By this point it will no longer let me log in unless I wait an hour or two, in which the process is repeated. I've seen that a good majority of Mac and Safari users are having this problem, as they have posted questions on websites such as yahoo answers. I've contacted myspace and have gotten nowhere. It's just really frustrating, because every time something like this happens windows users say "get a new computer" or "get firefox". Uhm....how about no? Your website should meet W3C website standards! Ugh, all I can say is this is why I prefer Facebook. But, is anyone else having this problem?

No problem with MySpace here. Try troubleshooting Safari.
From the Safari Menu Bar click Safari/Preferences (Command + ,) on your keyboard then select the Autofill tab. Click the Edit button next to: Other forms. Delete MySpace and click Done. Click the Edit button next to: User names and passwords. Delete MySpace then click Done. Now from the Preferences Menu Bar click the Security tab. Click: Show Cookies. Delete anything MySpace related, click Done.
Now open Keychain Access (Applications/Utilities) Select Passwords on the left. Delete your MySpace keychain on the right. Quit Keychain Access. Relaunch Safari. Navigate to the MySpace website. Login with your username and password. You will prompted to save that data, click Yes.

Facebook and Myspace apps dont work!!!

i cant get either of these two apps to connect while all others work!
tmobile told me to uninstall then reinstall.......didnt work!
then they told me to reset phone and try.....didnt work!
i have the data plan and like i said all other apps have no problems.
???WHY???

Safari and myspace

well when i sign in everything is fine but when i go look at bulletins and peoples pictures if they have cations they show up as &$ and the last letter at the end what's wrong with my safari?

One of my friends background picture (html photo) doesnt show up on my mac, but it shows up on my windows pc. It simply has a banner of the uploading site my friend used (saying some error jibberish "not available"). Any ideas? I do love Safari and the whole Apple gang... this is like the first year i bought any apple merchandise (ibook G4 and imac G5, apple video, and shuffle).
