Installation did not work. It was originally on my main computer but that computer is not working, tried to install it on this computer and it will not work. Advised to install the EPS Parser plug-in for Adobe PhotoDelux Home Edition 3.x and Photo Delux Business Edition 1.x to ensure operation.
How do I get the plug-in and install it?

Yes Jeff, I am using Micosoft XP Professional version 2002 Service Pack 3; does that mean I can't use this program on this computer? What is that EPS Parser Plug-in for Adobe PhotoDelus Edition 3.x and PhotoDelux Business Edition 1.x that I was referred to in the error message? Can I get that plug-in and will it allow me to use this program?
I really like this program. I have tried Elements and others but this is the best. I don't want to give it up.

Had to do a recovery on my Windows Xp Media Edition yesterday. Just got this message when I started up my PC today and tried to open up Adobe Photoshop Business Edition 1.0 (I know, i know, but I LIKE Photoshop Business Edition 1.0. It does everything I need it to do without all the complications): "The program you are trying to run has a plug-in to correct known issues with this version of Windows. You should install the EPS Parser plug-in for Adobe Photodeluxe Home Edition 3.x and Business Edition 1.x to insure proper operation on this version of Windows. Contact the vendor regarding upgrades that are compatible with this version of Windows."

Goodness, i must be braindead....i should have thought about Binging it (i don't do Google anymore...%:~}...). i had some nutskull of a tech support person convince me that i needed to do a PC Recovery a couple of nights ago, and i have been reinstalling all after market software i had on my PC.
Thank gawd i had done a backup 7 weeks earlier or i would be sending in my PC right now to the shop to "recover" most of my data from my hard drive, an expensive proposition. As it is, i'm having to reset all my previous configurations and software and it's been a real nightmare....

Can't find another place to ask this.....I have to upgrade to Win 7....can I still use photodeluxe in it?

It's possible maybe that you can get photodeluxe 4 to install on windows 7, but since that is a rather old program, written
well before windows 7, you might try photoshop elements 12 and see if that will do as a replacement.

Photodeluxe 3.0 home edition won't install

running new computer w/windows 7, ie8, 64 bit. error upon installing said i need adobe reader. i have 9.2. i tried emailing from an older computer and i receive a download error in email that i must install twainpp .dll. either way i cannot install. how can i get around this problem. is there an upgrade to purchase? i just need a basic edition that will fit my budget. thank you. bill.

I haven't checked Picasa for all that but for a ridiculously low price you can get Photoshop Elements which certainly will support them. There is also GIMP which is free.
It is really time to move on from that antique program.
Footnote: All scanners work just as well or better ouside Photoshop.

Photodeluxe 3.0 Home Edition

I used Photodeluxe 3.0 Home Edition on Windows XP service pack 3 now I have a new computer with Windows 7 but when I try to load the CD I get a message TwainPP.dll missing. I have the computer compatability set to XP service pack 3.
I want to keep the Photodeluxe because the newer Photoshop with so many features are too complicated for my limited computer knowledge.. I really like the ease of Photodeluxe 3.0 to "change back-grounds". Can you help.

I was never interested in or had the need of keeping old software working. XP mode may have come preinstalled on one of my Wind 7 machines however I never used it or installed it one my other Win 7 system and I have never installed Win 8 I was going to wait to Win 9 but now Microsoft is skipping that and is developing Win 10.
Frankly Photodeluxe never did anything I wanted to do Photodeluxe was not anything I wanted to use. PSE while harder to use has more capabilities and IMO is better then Photodeluxe and I also rejected PSE. I use Photoshop much more complex then both PSE and Photodeluxe frankly it takes years to learn how to use Photoshop well. Photoshop is not for most users. You may be better off looking at Apps developed for simpler OS that have a UI like IOS has look at an iPAD. Personally I dislike apple's ios but its well suited for casual computer users more so the OS like Unix or Windows and the Apps that run on mobile devices are usually designed with ease of use in mind.

Adobe Photodeluxe 3 Home Edition and Windows 7

I have recently updated from XP to Windows 7 and my edition of Adobe Photodeluxe 3 Home Edition will not load. I have successfully used Adobe for years and wish to continue using it with Windows 7. Can anybody help?

I believe Photoshop Elements is what replaced PhotoDeluxe though I am not familiar with either. You might want to try the trial version of that to see if it does what you hope it will. I am unable to easily find where Adobe is hiding a link for that, but you can find it at the following site.

Just be sure to follow the important instructions to the letter or else the download will not function properly.

Installation 10g on Windows XP Home Edition

When I try to install 10g on my Windows XP Home Edition, I get a error message, "oui.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close." Whats that all about?

Windows XP Home is not a supported platform for Oracle. I have heard some people have been able to get it to work but usually not without a lot of tinkering. General rule of thumb -- Windows anything Home edition is not supported by Oracle. My suggestion is if you have the disk space, install VMware and put a Linux distro like Centos in it and install Oracle on that. Or go the dual boot route.

Installation failed on Windows XP Home Edition

Hi,
I tried to download Oracle 9i Enterprise Edition on Windows XP Home edition.
After 15% installation was over , it prompted me for Disk2 and I gave the path c:\dirName\Disk2..where the disk2 is located.But the prompt dialog keeps on asking about Disk2.
Can anybody suggest what can I do about it?

i used fresh system with 2000 advance server. when cd ran it required jre i provided i used General Purpose. But after finishing upto 100% database configuration assistant was not configuured. no pre configured datbase was visible as it gave Oracle not available. Please solve it it's urgent..any particular method to install.

I am trying to install XP Home Edition over Windows 7

Hello, I have been all over trying to resolve the problem detailed below and hope you can help me.
I have a HP Pavilion Elite - HPE 180T - OS Win 7 64 bit.
System Info: 9 GB Physical memory - 5 memory Modules - Video Card1.8GB NVIDIA GeForct GTX 260 (2 DVI, HDMI and VGA adapters)- Intel(R) Core (TM) i7 CPU 950 @3.07GHz - 8GB DDR3-1066MHz SDRAM (4 DIMMs) - 1 TB 7200 RPM SATA 3Gb/s hard drive.
Problem: I do not want Windows 7 and am trying to install XP Home Edition with Service Pack 2 - Full Version/CD ROM. I put the disc in and the install option is greyed out. What do I need to do to prep my system to accept the installation? I have my system backed up. If I erased my hard drive would that work? Is there a way to install over the Win 7 or have both OS's installed? I've seen advise to adjust the BIOS but can not figure out how to bring the screen up on start up. I looked in the HP manual and can not find the information.
Any direction is most appreciated.

Hi,
Windows XP is an unsupported OS and installing XP may void your warranty.
If you still want to use XP, I would make sure you create HP Recovery Discs before you start anything. Wiping the hard drive should allow you to install XP. I'm not sure what options you have on the XP installation disc but I would look for an Advanced option and try a Dual Boot or Dual Install if you want to run both operating systems. For help, do a search for "dual boot windows 7 and XP" or something similar and browse the results.

Error message downloading j2se 1.5.0 on windows XP home edition (SP2)

I am getting the following error message attempting to install the j2se 5.0 on my windows XP home edition (SP2):
"Error JavaTM installer
The installer cannot continue because the files necessary for installation are unavailable. If trying to install a beta or older version please check http://java.sun.com/j2se to determine if it is still supported. If so please try installing at a later time as these file might be only temporarily unavailable."

Problem:
The installer throws error messages. I tried on three different
XP-Home (sp2) machines in our lab. It throws error message the very first or second time and after that, it seems to work fine.
Steps to reproduce:
1) On XP-Home(sp2) machine, try to download and install the JDK iftw bundle from

2) During the installation the first or second time, one of the following messages thrown:
A) "This installation package could not be opened. Verify that the package exists and than you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer package"

This problem seems to occur on XP-Home(sp2). When error message pops up, keep trying it, it 's eventually OK. It may confuse consumers at the first two times.

I am getting the same error when opening the J2se Development Kit 5.0 Update 8 after I press the Run button. ( "This installation package could not be opened. Verify that the package exists and than you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer package").

We have Windows 7 Deluxe Home Edition on our Computer with three of us, but only I see our iTunes Library. How can the other two see it on the one computer?

We have Windows 7 Deluxe Home Edition on our family's computer with three users. I can only see our iTunes library when I get on the computer, it is blank on the other two users. I must be doing something wrong beacuse thety cannot access our own library. Can this be fixed?

All of Office 2010 Student and Home Edition Programs open as Microsoft Single Image instances since Installing Outlook 2013

Office 2010 Student and Home Edition has been running without problems on my PC since 2012. Recently installed Microsoft Outlook 2013 (The version of Office 2010 did not include Outlook), since then, every time I open any of the original Office 2010 Programs
eg XCEL, WORD, POWER POINT, ONE NOTE, the program opens in 'Microsoft Office 2010 Single Image' which appears to have to be installed every time any of the programs are opened. The Installation process takes anything up to a few minutes to complete and sometimes
when filing or printing a document, the install restarts, on occasions, in an endless loop which requires random,imaginative keystroke action to terminate. The program shortcut icons all point to the 'Microsoft Office 2010 Single Image' application, I have
not succeeded in finding where the original programs are located as a quick way of trying to fix the problem.
The new installation of Outlook 2013 opens normally.
Evidently, the Outlook 2013 installation has disturbed the 2010 licensing or something ellse, can this unintended change be reversed?
Short of a complete Un-install + Re-Install, I have tried every straightforward repair/ change (run All on my computer)/ enter product code etc option, all to no avail.
I have read of variations on the same problem relating to mixing Office 2003/ 2007, cases of Outlook 2013 starting up in a similar way, but no examples of the specific problem outlined above. The next step
is a complete Un-install + re-install of Office 2010, is this the answer or do I need to go further? Indeed, is there a quick fix?

The Microsoft Office Single Image 2010 is a set of tools, documentation, and product files that licensed original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) can use to preload Office on new computers for distribution to end users.
I would suggest you to try the methods listed in this KB article:

Itunes 7.1.1. and Windows Vista Home Edition

Hi there. I have a new PC from HP model T3765.it and I am NOT able to use my iPod nor to install iTunes for more than two months: my PC says "you have to repair iTunes to make it working with Windows Vista". I followed the instructions (Control Panel --> Programs --> iTunes --> repair) but no result. My PC has Windows Vista Home Edition. Does anyone know what to do? Is there a way to sort this out or do I have to wait for a new iTunes release?
