Photomerge Group Shot in Elements 11

I am using Photoshop Elements 11 on a Mac with OS X 10.10.1 Yosemite installed. I'm trying Photomerge Group Shot. I have watched "Perfect Group Shots" on Adobe tv and have followed all the steps exactly as shown. When I get the final image exactly how I want it and press "Done", that final image disappears and is replaced by one of the original images I used to create the merged image.The "final image" is not in my photo bin nor can I find it anywhere. Very frustrating! What am I doing wrong? Any help will be much appreciated.

When I was trying to make it work correctly I took a picture of the tree at the exposure that I wanted then put my daughter in front of the tree and tried to take her properly exposed and put her in front of the tree in the good tree picture, so to answer the question, it technically isn't a group shot but I plan on using this for a group shot. I'm not real fluent in Photoshop yet so I don't know how to do it any other way other than the photomerge function. I will see if I can figure out your suggestion. I'm pretty lost when it comes to working with layers at this point. Sorry for being such a novice! Thanks for the help!

PSE10 Photomerge Group Shot is not saving!

After being able to complete several Photomerge Group Shot projects before, the program is no longer saving them. It allows me to open all photos (I've tried merging group shots from 2 pictures to 5 pictures in an effort to find the error) and to go through all the motions but when I click 'Done' nothing happens. No error. No lag. One of my open files just sits there untouched.
I read somewhere that I should delete my preferences, but I haven't made any changes. This is the only feature I've ever even used on my new Elements program.
I tried opening the program under my husband's user name (new settings / preferences), but the same thing occurs. It just doesn't save - even when the computer has just been booted up and I'm only trying to merge two photos.
My machine is a Dell Inspiron 530S running WinXP 32-bit SP3 with 2GB RAM. I just clean installed WinXP and all windows updates. The only programs I have installed are Office and PSE10.
I just got Lightroom as a Christmas gift that is incompatible with this computer. If this is a RAM issue...or if I should upgrade to 64-bit...what should my minimum system requirements be to optimally run both Elements and Lightroom?

Have you tried doing:
File >> Save As
This should allow you to give a different name to the file so that you don't over-write any existing files with the same name.
If you have already tried this, do you get any error messages on the screen? If so please post here to get further assistance here.

Need Help with Photomerge Group Shot

I'm trying to photomerge a group shot and having trouble with it. The person I'm trying to cut out of the source photo gets plopped into the middle of the final photo and I can't line her up with in final shot. Is there a way I can relocate the section that gets pasted into the final photo? I'm also have trouble with aligning the photo--how do you know what points to select in the fist and second photo? I've been playing with it, but the photos get terribly distorted.
Appreciate any help. I was expecting Photoshop Elements 10 to make this easy, and so far, it hasn't impressed me.

OK, here we go:
Make a selection (in the main image) of the area you want to be replaced:
Open your other image, select the head to use, and copy it to the Clipboard. (I simply used another one of the heads in this photo.)
Back in the main image, use Edit...Paste into Selection:
Change to the Move Tool and move the pasted-in image to where it looks best:
You already know what to do next with the Clone Tool. (Probably have to use Layer...Flatten Image to get rid of all the selections and layers so the Clone Tool can do its work....)

P.S., Looks like you did a real good job with the girl on the left.
P.P.S., The image is a bit too small for us to do precision work (but it's OK for this example). Next time you can try something about 2 or 3 times larger and see if the forum software accepts it.

Elements 11 locks up when I attempt to Photomerge Group Shot

Whenever I attempt to perform Photomerge, Elements 11 locks up. It's just that simple. I get the MAC beach ball, and the application locks up. I'm able to force Elements 11 to exit by executing Force Quit Application. This problem happens in Quick, Guided, and Expert modes. Does anyone have any thoughts? Thanks for your help.

What version of Premiere Elements 11 are your using in presumed Mac computer? I suspect none, but, by the content of your question, rather Photoshop Elements 11 Mac.
If that is the case, you have posted in the wrong forum. You want the Adobe Photoshop Elements Forum and not the Adobe Premiere Elements Forum (video editing) where your thread is not displaying.

I, too, had some problems when using Photomerge Group Shot to demonstrate it when I was using version 11. In versions 9 and 10 (using the exact same image file) I had a very neat merge.
Last Saturday, it didn't line up nearly as well.
Could this be a shortcomig in 11 when this "trick" was moved from the guided mode to the "Expert" mode?

Photoshop Elements 10 Group Shot Crashes

Photoshop Elements 10 - Group Shot Crashes after I select the option from the menu. I am using Windows XP. Is there a workaround or is there a way to fix this?

This problem is related to your other problems and so resetting the preferences and deleting the preferences files "might" resolve itself.

Why does photoshop elements 12 stall in perfect group shot merge when i get to the point of dragging from the photo bucket to the workspace

Photoshop Elements 12 is stalling when I want to merge group shots. I am able to put the photos into the photo bucket however if i try to drag the photos to workspace it stalls.

There is a browser plugin or software (BrowserSafeGaurd) which blocks and tampers network calls. This software has been reported as malware. Please check if you have it on your machine and remove that by following steps mentioned on http://www.tomsguide.com/us/browser-safeguard-remove-how-to,news-19273.html and try to license the software once again.

To create the Group of Cost Element
Go to transection code KAH1 Give any name or number to your cost element group then make the proper standerd hirerchey as you need or simply click on the cost elemt and add all cost element which you want to make a group.

How to run photomerge panorama in ps elements 10

When starting photomerge-panorama in ps elements 10 the program shuts down itself with the notification that is does not work anymore. All other photomerge functions however are working fine.

The version of Camera Raw that you reported should support the S100 CR2 images.
If you load the editor, go to the File menu and select Open, then point to the file, are you saying that it displays the error message?
Have you tried opening the file with Canon's Zoombrowser?
Which operating system are you running on?

Unbilled revenue report grouped by cost element

Hi all,
Can someone tell me if there are standard reports available that will allow me to report unbilled revenue by cost element? We've segregated our RA by fixed price and cost plus contracts. I want to provide a report that will allow me to group by cost elements for cost plus via cost, com and fee or fixed price by cost and fee. This is deep stuff :-)Can I setup KKAJ output to display what I need?

SKFActual(SKF Qty)Cost CenterCostElementDollars+Report Currency.
First 2 fields (SKF+Actual - SKF Qty) we got from S_ALR_87013611 report. Then we double clicked on SKF then it will take to KSB1 transaction code(as said by you) there we got the rest of the fields.
Currently we are developing the same Custom Report but it should show by summary i.e by Cost Element.
Could you please tell me what Tables and Data types we need to refer?

Grouped shots messed next time I load the project

I'm working on a tight schedule on this one, and for the first time I thought I'd go with grouping shots. JPO, you can harass me and give me a spank for not doing that earlier, at a later time.
So, I've grouped a bunch of shots before I started grading, and due to some personal issues that came up, I had to make it a wrap for that day being. Next day I loaded the project, all fine, except some shots are grouped in some REALLY strange manner. Shots that aren't anything like the others are in the same group, and I gotta group them all over again. Not a big deal as I've selected the shots, moved them away from each other and pressed 'G' - but the fact that I gotta regroup every single group (there's about 40-50 of them) is a bit... demotivating. I accidentally managed to do a new grade and drag it on a group, with a set of shots that should've been graded in a different style.
Frustrating ? A bit. A little inch, maybe. But I'll survive.
It all boils down to: Am I doing something wrong, or is it just Color's way of doing things, and I gotta ungroup them when I'm done grading a group?

Ahaa.. I guess I was wrong about you then. My apologies. I'm not usually a groupie myself, but I've read (or was it a video showcase at Apples website?) about someone using groups and saying something like "It's SO fast to make adjustments to an entire set of shots". And it is... just so annoying to see all those noodles being hooked up with the wrong group.
Also, you're using a fancy Tangent panel? That's probably speeding up everything quite well I guess. If I only could afford one... *mumbling and shuffling away with head down and hands in the pockets*

Oops, I just posted this link in a reply to a topic asking about changing the sunlight to the other side of a guy's face to blend him into a group shot.
If anyone cares, I tried out this software and deecided that I could do as good a job in the same amount of time with PSE. It takes an INORDINANT amount of time for it to save the full-size version of the composite result, and I still found a transcription error.

Why can't I edit the entire Photomerge image in Adobe Elements 8?

This granny admittedly isn't terribly Elements "savvy". However, I managed to figure out how to scan an old 1888, 10x12 photo in two halves (left and right), and used the Elements Photomerge to combine the two shots. It worked quite well - slightly askew at the top edge, but the rest of the image appears to be well-stitched - to the naked eye, at least.
After sharpening the image, I went to Guided Edit and began using the brush to "heal" a few of the old marks on the image at full size - that worked well!. Until I moved my brush into the area that had been the left side, that is.. The brush no longer worked. Then I noted that the about 1/3 of the left side was not sharpened like the right side was, either!    To test it further, I changed it to a black & white photo.   Only that larger right section changed to black & white, and the left part of the image stayed it's old sepia color.   I saved the images, closed and re-opened Elements - but had the same results. The left side just can't be edited.
Isn't there a way to edit the entire merged image?
I've saved the image as a high-quality JPEG, and also as Adobe Elements format - but they still won't fully edit.    The two are large files - I was thinking that I'd need to save it at high-quality in order to end up with a nice retouched & sharpened 8x10, suitable for framing.    ????
Can anyone advise me as to what I might be doing or not doing to cause this?
Also, I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium, 64 bit on one laptop, and Windows 7 Professional, 64 bit on another
(I'm trying to get by with the Elements version I have, due to finances.)

I have SO much to learn, and many of the tintypes and very old photos I've recently inherited & scanned will be a good "classroom" for me.   I haven't even completely figured out what "layers" are.      (I do have an Elements 8 book; however, it helps if you know what to look up in it! LOL)

Photomerge Exposure alignment in Elements 12 not working!

I recently purchased Elements 12, specifically for the ease of the Photomerge Exposure function. To my dismay, even tripod bracketed shots (+2, 0, -2) don't line up automatically (aperature priority in all three shots). When I try to manually align the shots using the three point functionality, I click "align" and then "done" and nothing happens - the resulting image vanishes. Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

can you try again with after resetting your preferences. Ideally, if your images are shot without flash, they should come up in the automatic mode where you can easily controle the contrast and saturation of the image.
Can you also please let us know about the file type of the image. I believe you must be using raw files. In that case, please let us know the camera model too.
