Photomerge panorama error message

Get an error message in pse10 on Mac - can't align  images (solar eclipse photos) using photomerge panorama?

Photomerge panorama is meant for aligning overlapping side by side images (three images of a canal scene in Venice that overlap at the edges, for instance), not creating montages. If you really want to try photomerge, try choosing the interactive one and placing them yourself. But if you want to set up a side by side view of different stages of the eclipse, you would probably be better off creating a blank file large enough to hold them all and copy/pasting them into it manually, if you don't want to use any of the special programs for astrophotography.

  • PSElements 8 and Photomerge Panorama error message ??

    Hi,
After a week or so of 'normal" operation the bugs have hit again. I went to open the Panorama function and got the following message:
    Error: Unable to create window
    - OS error
    Line 364
    ->  var w = new window  ( res );
All the other Photomerge choices seem to work OK, or at least they open into another window with suitable instructions for the next step.
    I am using Win 7.
If anyone has solved this before or if anyone has any suggestions, I'd appreciate your contact.
    Thanks,
    Cyril

    Hi John,
Thanks for the reply. It did work properly after re-booting and has continued working properly after several sessions throughout the day. Weird!!
    Thanks again for your assistance!
I really hope that PSE8 decides to settle down in its new home. Since using 5, 7 and 8 this is the first time I have had any issues at all!! I guess I was due!! Still not sure if it's 8 or Win 7 or both not knowing how to play nice!
    All the best,
    Cyril

  • PSE7 Photomerge Panorama Error

I get the following error everytime I try to create a Photomerge Panorama
Error 1: Unable to create Window
    -Internal error.
    Line: 364
    -> var w = new Window(res);
    Anyone have any ideas?
I'm running Windows XP with a 22" LCD widescreen display.
Any help would be much appreciated

Had this problem for a long time tried all sorts of solutions non worked. Eventaully managed to extrct from a adobe a tech support phone number, so in desperation I rang the number , sprise suprise India.
Whilst the engineer was researching the problem on his computer with me on hold I decided to start up PSE7 and get the editor up ready to try it and report the exact wording of the report message that comes up when you try to use panorama.
To my complete suprise it now worked properly, so I tried it by shutting it down once or twice whilst I still had the engineer and it was consitantly ok. have tried it for a few days since and still working!!!
What tyhe connection is I dont know nor does he but sufficent to th end result. Its worth a go.

  • Photomerge Panorama error

I am getting an error 8 syntax error line 86 and some strange characters when attempting to choose panorama.   It worked after install bur would run out of memory when attempting to have program fill edges.  I upgraded memory from 2 gig to 4 gig, and now it will not load at all.
Do I need to reinstall?  Wait for PSE 10 or 11?

    Hello Bill,
The Photomerge Panorama function is driven by a script file (hence the error referring line 86). It's possible that the script file has become damaged somehow, thus it doesn't run correctly. If that is the case, then reinstalling the application would fix the issue. Generally, when files become damaged, they do not uninstall properly, so I would suggest deleting the application folder after uninstalling to make sure all damaged files are removed before reinstalling. You may also have damaged settings files (when these go bad, they can cause all sorts of unwanted behaviors). Because of this I would suggest resetting the application preferences before uninstalling and reinstalling (information on how to do this can be found in Help by searching for "Restore default preferences").

  • Elements 9 stops working when I try to use Photomerge Panorama - Windows 8.

Photoshop Elements 9 is functioning with Raw or Jpeg image adjustments, but not when I try to use Photomerge Panorama.  Message to say: P E has Stopped Working.  A problem caused this programme to stop working correctly.  Windows will close the rpgramme and notify you if a solution is available.
I have uninstalled the programme and re-installed but same problem.

  • Photomerge panoramic won't open and gives "error 364" message

I shot my first panoramic set this morning and tried to load into the panoramic photomerge feature on PSE 6.0, but when I select that, it says "internal error: 364" and will not do anything. It gives me the "send error report" option and essentially locks up and freezes. I thought at first it was because of the raw to dng convesion so I made the images jpegs and tried that, but it does not appear to be the problem because I don't get to the point where I can load images. The first time I tried to select/load the images from the PSE 6.0 organizer and that failed. Then I open the PSE editor and tried to choose the photomerge pano option, expecting to be prompted to choose images, but I get the same error report. I have IBM laptop and run Windows XP. Any ideas?

Here is a link to another thread that mentions that some people have resolved this problem with Photomerge Panorama by uninstalling, cleaning up and reinstalling. Having anti-virus turned off during install activities is important. See the thread for more details.

    Jack Bush,
Since most people responding on these forums are other Adobe customers, we really don't have any info that directly helps to troubleshoot a message that references an internal error. So unless we have solved that problem on our system or someone else who has solved it then posts a description, we don't have any definitive answer.
For that error message when running PSE v7, you could contact Adobe Tech Support. If you do resolve the problem on your system, please do come back and post how it was solved. This will help other forum participants.

  • Photoshop Elements 5 "Could not complete the Photomerge Panorama command because of a disk error"

It was working fine just yesterday! And only the photomerge is affected, the rest of the program works great...I turned off my computer after I receieved the error message and ran a disk check, but it found nothing wrong with my hard drive. So what gives? Do I need to reinstall? Is there some sort of update I need to install to make it compatable with Windows 7? (There was a similar update a few years back for Windows Vista users)
True, I mostly use CS5 now, but I still keep Elements 5 around because being able to manually place pictures into a panorama and retry rather than having Photoshop spit out two separate pano's stacked on top of each other is MUCH more convienient.

Well cn you try running the program in admin mode. Go to
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 5
There find PhotoshopElementsEditor file and right click on it, and select "Run as Administrator".
    See if it works.

  • Error 22: Window does not have a constructor. when opening photomerge . panorama ??????

Whats up???   Error 22: Window does not have a constructor. when i select photomerge / panorama on my imac.    ( elements 11)

Try resetting the PSE preferences by
       1. Close Elements.
       2. Launch the Photoshop Elements Welcome Screen and hold down ctrl + alt + shift as you click Editor.
       3. Continue to hold the keys until you see a message box asking if you want to delete Photoshop Elements settings file; click Yes. Elements will open with default preferences.
One of the similar threads is found here http://forums.adobe.com/thread/622755 which is for Photoshop but should work for PSE as well.

Error while doing Photomerge -> Panorama in Photoshop CC.  I get the following message:  "Error 8800:  General Photoshop Error occurred.  This functionality may not be available in this version of Photoshop."

Alright, links to DxDiag and screenshots of my cache settings, memory and multiprocessing settings, and my drives that I have for my PC are linked down below. My 250gb SSD includes my OS, all my programs, and my cache for After Effects. My mechanical hard drive includes all my data, so videos, pictures, documents, music, projects, and all my PC games. I hope this helps. Thanks again.

  • PSE 6 Mac photomerge error message?

I am using Photoshop Elements 6 on a Mac. I am trying to use the photomerge group shot feature, following the tutorial video step-by-step. I open my pictures, select New >> Photomerge Group Shot and click "Open All" on the "please select 2-10 photos..." pop-up box. The little clock appears for a bit and then I get the error message "Could not complete the command because the source rectangle is empty."
Adobe support is useless. I think they said it's because my photos are incompatible and I should download them again. (But their English is so poor and there's so many typos in there, I can't be sure that's really what they meant.) I'm using .jpgs. How can jpgs be incompatible?!? Good thing they're copies. Deleted the ones I was working with and got new copies of the originals. Still get the error message.
Tried re-installing PSE, that didn't fix it either.
Dragging the photos to the source and final rectangles doesn't work either.
I think I may have successfully used the photomerge in the past but I can't remember for sure.
Anyone else encounter this problem? Any suggestions of other things to try to solve it? I'm just about ready to throw PSE in the garbage. I pretty much can't ever get it to work right.

I am listing down the precise steps I followed for Photomerge groupshot on my system-
    Open images.
Holding the Command key click on all the image that are to be used in Photomerge (select them from Project Bin)
    File>New>Photomerge Groupshot.
I am taken to the Photomerge UI with my first image already present in the source rectangle.
Please follow these steps and let me know that at which step are you getting stuck.

  • Trying to do a photomerge--Getting a "common error message" Documents must be saved prior to merging

    Photoshop CS6
    Photoshop CC 14.2
Trying to do an automation/photomerge on "open files"
    Get this error message
In sniffing around the internet I have discovered this is a fairly common problem???
    Anyone got any solutions??
    Thanks in advance

    Problem Solved:
Here's the approach to eliminate the "documents must be saved before youy can merge files"
    Do not open files first......
    Open Photoshop
    The select File/Atomate/Photomerge
    A dialog box will open
    Select BROWSE
Now select your files to be merged in proper sequential order
Select the method of merge to be used
    Click OK
    All done
