Photos albums dont show in social (facebook)

I dont usually use facebook but when i try i dont see the albums, just a blank page...What can i do?

Not direct with the FaceBook app, but there are some 3rd party photo uploading apps that work in conjunction with FaceBook allowing the upload of multiple photos at once. Check an app named iLoader for this.

this happened to me as well, I bought my touch a few days ago from New York and after a few uses the album art was mismatching.
The first thing I did was select all my music, and selected compilations to no for everything, this irons out most of it.
Secondly, I made the artwork for the offending tracks bigger (at least 500x500) and this cleaned up the problem almost completely.
There were two tracks left which were mismatching but I just deleted them because I don't really listen to them!

I tried restoring deleted photos, now my i photo albums are showing blank spaces with question marks on where there should be photos!!

Can someone help me! I tried restoring deleted photos using time machine...I know I shouldn't have fiddled! When i went back to my i photo albums some of the photos had disappeared and in the space was a grey square with a question mark in. The photo still shows in the top area but i can't put it into a space. I have i photo 08. I don't know if it is an i photo album problem or I have in some way corrupted some of my photos. When i right click on the question mark the photo appears and I can drag back to the top area, it just won't show up in the album. Any suggestions? Thanks

Try these in order - from best option on down...
1. Do you have an up-to-date back up? If so, try copy the library6.iphoto file from the back up to the iPhoto Library (Right Click -> Show Package Contents) allowing it to overwrite the damaged file.
2. Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In Library Manager it's the FIle -> Rebuild command)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.
3. If neither of these work then you'll need to create and populate a new library.
To create and populate a new *iPhoto 08* library:
Note this will give you a working library with the same Events and pictures as before, however, you will lose your albums, keywords, modified versions, books, calendars etc.
In the iPhoto Preferences -> Events Uncheck the box at 'Imported Items from the Finder'
Move the iPhoto Library to the desktop
Launch iPhoto. It will ask if you wish to create a new Library. Say Yes.
Go into the iPhoto Library (Right Click -> Show Package Contents) on your desktop and find the Originals folder. From the Originals folder drag the individual Event Folders to the iPhoto Window and it will recreate them in the new library.
When you're sure all is well you can delete the iPhoto Library on your desktop.
In the future, in addition to your usual back up routine, you might like to make a copy of the library6.iPhoto file whenever you have made changes to the library as protection against database corruption.

Re: installed Ilife now my photo albums dont work

I installed ILife and now I can not create a photo album. It says I have to change my theme, I accept this and it just freezes my computer. Any advice.

To re-install iPhoto
1. Put the iPhoto.app in the trash (Drag it from your Applications Folder to the trash)
2a: On 10.5: Go to HD/Library/Receipts and remove any pkg file there with iPhoto in the name.
2b: On 10.6: Those receipts may be found as follows: In the Finder use the Go menu and select Go To Folder. In the resulting window type
/var/db/receipts/
2c: on 10.7 they're at
/private/var/db/receipts
A Finder Window will open at that location and you can remove the iPhoto pkg files.
3. Re-install.
If you purchased an iLife Disk, then iPhoto is on it.
If iPhoto was installed on your Mac when you go it then it’s on the System Restore disks that came with your Mac. Insert the first one and opt to ‘Install Bundled Applications Only.
If you purchased it on the App Store you can find it in your Purchases List.

Photo Albums not showing in iOS7

I recently upgraded my phone to the 5s and I'm on iOS 7.0.2 and my photos show under the collections tab, but when I go to albums they are not there. I tried unchecking the sync photos in iTunes and rechecking the box and now I have duplications. What is odd is in iTunes it has photos taking up storage space in my iPhone even though it doesn't show the albums.

I'm assuming this is because at one point in the phones life the album photos had already been imported, but that doesn't help me now.
Have the photos been synced to your iPhone using iTunes? Then you cannot import them directly. iPhoto, Image Capture, Aperture will only import photos, that are in the Camera Roll, not synced photos. On no account sync your iPhone again with iTunes, until you have rescued the photos.

Old iphone3 photo albums not showing in iphoto and I want to import them

I found my old iphone3 today and discovered a heap of photos on there that we lost years ago when our hard drive died.
I'm very keen to get these photos onto the computer and of course then back them up onto an external drive!
When I plug the phone into my mac, both iphoto and image capture only show the photos that are in the camera roll to import, not any of the albums that are on the phone. I'm assuming this is because at one point in the phones life the album photos had already been imported, but that doesn't help me now.
Any suggestions?
I've also tried opening the photos in preview, but again it only shows up the camera roll photos.

ICloud photo albums not showing on Apple TV

Hi,
I made the switch to iCloud photos using the new Photos app, and converted all my old shared events to Albums. I can see them on my iPad, iPhone, and computer, but I can't see them on my Apple TV. In the settings on Apple TV, I have Photo Stream turned off, and iCloud Photo Sharing turned on.

You know what - i had the same thing happen to me yesterday, but this was on my iPhone not my Apple TV.
I had media (movies, tv shows, music) synced but when i went into the iPod section of the phone it said i had no media at all. I plugged the phone back into iTunes and this confimed(by the status bar) I had nearly 20Gb of media on the phone. Unplugged and checked again - phone still reporting no media. Plugged back into iTunes, did a sync, watched as nothing was physically copied over to the phone, unplugged and all the media re-appeared.
iTunes definately did not sync anything as the actual sync took less than a minute.
Now, i know my issue is not about the Apple TV but it does sound like the same issue I had on my phone which points to the common factor in both cases - iTunes.

Photo Albums Not Showing

When I tap the Photos Button my list of albums isnt all the way showing the one album at the very top which is my Camera Roll is hidden at the very top. When I drag it down it shows but only temporarily because I cant use two fingers to click on it.

I am having the exact same problem. Sometimes this happens in my Albums list and at other times, it is happening on my Events list. I'm not sure why this is happening but I hope that Apple can get this fixed soon.
The workaround that I use is to click the Home button to get to Home screen. I double-click the Home button to bring up the app tray. I hold down the Photos app in the app tray until it starts shaking and I can tap on the Remove icon (the red minus sign). I click the Home button once to stop the modify mode and then click once more to go back to home. I then tap on Photos and the application now functions correctly.

Photo album questions

Hi, I have put several hours into trying to solve these
problems myself, but I am stuck. The page in question is:

1. Detailregion area does not display when page opens. It's
just a skinny gray box on the right. Once you click a thumbnail,
however, it displays fine, and will display all the images as you
click on them. Thinking maybe the non-working slide show buttons
were the problem, I tried replacing the <div id="controls">
area with the identical one from another page I have that works
just fine:

I've made several pages like hydeliinvquicktest.html that all
function properly, so I'm baffled.
2. How do I get a simple slide show going?
The Spry Photo Album Demo shows how powerful Spry can be, but
I don't need all that complexity, and I'm having trouble narrowing
it down to what I need -- no multiple databases, no growing and
shrinking thumbnails. All I want is to be able to put a bunch of
images and one XML dataset in a folder and have the ability to have
people click on "Previous," "Next," or "Play/Pause" in addition to
being able to click on a specific image.
One of the problems with the demo for me is the dataset names
used in the demo get confusing -- I'm having trouble following the
distinction between and relationship between when you use
dsGallery, dsGalleries, dsPhotos, and photo, not to mention, why it
is ultimately unnecessary to make any reference to "china" and and
the other folder names. And since I know next to nothing about
Javascript, I can't figure out what substitutions to make to the
gallery.js code, which is designed to work with these multiple
databases, and also can't figure out which pieces I need and
whether the pieces I don't need would get in the way if I left them
in the js doc or if everything extraneous has to be eliminated.
3. One of the problems with implementing more Spry pages is
the tedious work involved to make a little thumbnail for every
single image in a set, and then make sure they're all exactly the
same size, which is what I've done so far. I have figured out what
to do when the main image size varies, and Spry handles that well.
But here are my problems:
a. What if the thumbnails vary in size? For instance, this
hydeliinv.html page has four maps that are part of a set, but are
all different proportions, and four details I'd like to show that
represent what they look like close up, all of which are in
different proportions as well.
b. And can I have Spry call on the same image file and
display that full size for the main image, and reduced for the
thumbnail?

I've set the height and width in the spry: repeat tag for the
thumbnails to 100px. I tried just setting the height to that, and
width to auto; I tried just setting the height to that, and
omitting the width. In both cases, no thumbnails display at all. I
see in the Spry Photo Album Demo the use of "path" designations in
photos.xml. Could I do something with an XML doc that looks like
this to address both (a) and (b)?:

I understand the challenge and worked out some answers that
support our photo gallery for the ski club. I wanted something
simple that would support a gallery of up to 100 pictures reliably.
Also, I wanted it to extract information from the image metadata
such as names or descriptions.
The image processing is done using photoshop macros which
create the appropriate sized image and thumbnail.
After trial and error I realized current CSS technology is
NOT capable of vast quantities of demands from more than 20
thumbnails. That's when I settled on hard formatting the thumbnails
png files with a nice black border. The thumbnails load up quite
nicely with NO style formatting. I used PNG files for the
transparency support.
The XML data is created using a program I wrote to parse the
metadata from the image files. Now that all the photoshop macros
and the XML parser is written, I can load up a large gallery in
less than thirty minutes. (Not including photo editing.)

How do I rearrange the sequence of pictures within "All Photos" album?

I've just upgraded to Photos. I have 35322 photos and it seems to handle it better than iPhoto.
I'm finding the "All Photos" album is showing out of chronological sequence, with various "moments" photos intersperced into a variety of different "moments".
I can't seem to find a way to rearrange the "All Photos" album to be a true chronological sequence, instead of the random sequence it has become.
What am I missing?

at top of listings the should be a heading "Track#" if not go to view, veiw options and tick track number the it will show on main screen click this new heading and the tracks should alter to the correct order. Hope this helps

Cannot view photo album

Ever since downloading the 4.0.1 update, i cannot view the pictures in my photo album. it shows the number of pictures (87) but the screen is black. any one have any idea?!

If this is for the photos that were transferred from your computer, deselect Sync Photos under the Photos tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes followed by selecting Apply and a sync. This will remove all photos from your iPhone that were transferred from your computer. Follow this by reselecting Sync Photos followed by a sync to retransfer the photos to your iPhone.

Hi, I need help. yesterday I copied one of my photo albums from my computer to Ipad 6 , using itunes. The album was successfully copied but my already few existing photo albums are suddenly empty, The album title is there but no photos inside.

It's better to post the URL of the feed (as you have subsequently done) than the contents of the feed .
From the FeedValidator report the feed is basically OK for iTunes. There are several occasions where 'content:encoded' sections (following immediately on 'guid' tags) should be enclosed in
<description>...</description>
tags: however all this will be ignored by iTunes anyway and only applies to other readers. The 'potentially dangerous content' referred to by FeedValidator is within the 'content:encoded' tags and so isn't relevant to iTunes. They are referring to an inline css style, and I don't know whether this might cause a problem elsewhere.
You should really have a language tag, e.g.
<language>en-us</language>
(you have a dc:language tag but that's for a different system). This should be placed in the top section, before the first 'item' tag.
It's advisable to have an 'itunes:explicit' tag for each 'item' -
<itunes:explicit>yes IF CONTAINS ADULT MATERIAL, OTHERWISE no</itunes:explicit>
it's not compulsory if you have no adult material, but you must have a 'yes' if you do.
You can check your feed by subscribing in iTunes from the 'Advanced' menu - this has the same result as clicking the 'Subscribe' button on the Store page. If it works OK there you are ready to submit it.

Using iPad as photo album

Hi,
I am new to iPad. I am getting the 'new iPad' mainly to use it as a photo album to show my photos.
Currently this is how I show my photos on my PC.
I have a folder on my PC with photos from my hiking, camping and other trips in subfolders below it.
If I want to show an 'album' [a sub-folder], I simply open the folder on explorer and click on the first pic and my ACDC viewer opens it, then I just hit space bar to go from pic to pic.
So on iPad, I would ideally want to just 'sync' or 'import' whatever you want to call it, the folder with all the sub-folders so I can have albums on the iPad exactly as the sub-folders. I have a couple of questions..
1. Is the best way to do this is to check the 'sync photos' in the iTunes and point it to this main folder with all the sub-folders under it?
So if I do this, is the iTunes going to 'optimize' all the photos from the folders and make a copy into a 'ipad cache' folder and then copy it to the iPad?
I don't want to accidentally delete albums or photos from my PC folders by checking or unchecking any sync boxes in the iTunes accidentally.
2. Is it best to put the albums on flickr, smugmug or something similar? I also would like to keep the photos on my iPad so I can show them offline.
Thanks for any suggestions.
btw, I have an iPhone so am a bit familiar with iOS. I also got a mac mini recently though I have not played with it much and not using it to sync my iphone.

Welcome on board!
If you search through this forum you will find many threads with people reporting all sorts of problems with photos, viz, all photos not syncing to the iPad, photos being inverted and photos not in the same order as they were on their computer. Also, there is a claim, whether true or not, that even the biggest iPad can only accommodate 16gb of photos. That is the bad news! And now for the good news.
Go to the Apps store and search for these two apps (there are others)-
Photo Shack Pro £6.99 sterling
Photos Pro £10.49 sterling
and read all about them. If photos is 'the big thing' with you then they will be well worth the money as they apparently simplify things and eliminate many of the problems referred to.
This is not answering your questions speciically but will alert you to some matters you might encounter and give other participants to make (equally valid) comments.

Social app dont show photo albums....

I´m just updated my N8 to 1.3 in hope that my the problem with photo albums had been fixed, but still the same: I only have a blank screen since first day i bought the phone...

Are you trying to find files by looking in the iPhoto Library Folder?
Albums are virtual concepts in v6. There is no corresponding folder of images on the HD. There is also no reason to ever go rooting in the iPhoto Library Folder.
There are three ways (at least) to get files from the iPhoto Window.
1. *Drag and Drop*: Drag a photo from the iPhoto Window to the desktop, there iPhoto will make a full-sized copy of the pic.
2. *File -> Export*: Select the files in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export. The dialogue will give you various options, including altering the format, naming the files and changing the size. Again, producing a copy.
3. *Show File*: Right- (or Control-) Click on a pic and in the resulting dialogue choose 'Show File'. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected.
To upload to MySpace or any site that does not have an iPhoto Export Plug-in the recommended way is to Select the Pic in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export and export the pic to the desktop, then upload from there. After the upload you can trash the pic on the desktop. It's only a copy and your original is safe in iPhoto.
This is also true for emailing with Web-based services. If you're using Gmail you can use THIS
If you use Apple's Mail, Entourage, AOL or Eudora you can email from within iPhoto.
If you use a Cocoa-based Browser such as Safari, you can drag the pics from the iPhoto Window to the Attach window in the browser. Or, if you want to access the files with iPhoto not running, then create a Media Browser using Automator (takes about 10 seconds) or use THIS
