Photos and movies don't appear in Events/Photos but do appear in Last 12 months

Hello. I'm using the latest version of iPhoto 11 (9.1.1). When I browse through my photos via the Events or Photos section of the iPhoto sidebar (under Library), certain photos and movies are missing. They simply don't appear there at all. However, when I click the "Last 12 Months" section of the iPhoto sidebar (under Recent), the photos and movies are there. If I try re-importing the missing photos and movies I'm told they are duplicates, so they must be in my iPhoto Library - they just refuse to show up under Events or Photos! I've tried ticking all the rebuild options by holding down command and option when I start iPhoto, but to no avail. Perhaps there's a setting I've inadvertently ticked that hides certain photos and movies? Hidden Photos is ticked under the View menu. I have View > Sort Photos set to "By date" / "Ascending".

since both last 12 months and events or photos are simply different views of the same photos in your library they are there - the most common issue is incorrect dates so you are looking in the wrong event - you can find the event by selecting the photo in the last 12 months view and and right clicking and using the show event command - you can correct the dates by selecting the photo and using the photos menu ==> adjust time/date command

First, Safe Boot , (holding Shift key down at bootup), use Disk Utility from there to Repair Permissions, test if things work OK in Safe Mode.
Then move these files to the Desktop for now...
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.finder.plist
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.systempreferences.plist
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.desktop.plist
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.recentitems.plist
Reboot & test.
PS. Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.

I recommend to check www.icloud.com, are your contacts shown there?
If not -> Something might be not set up correctly on you iOS devices.
Also.. Simple but maybe occuring: Contacts -> Preferences -> Accounts -> iCloud is enabled? (Should be by default if you have iCloud setup via the system preferences, but you never know..)

My last 3 uploads from my Sony DSC-HX1 camera (that I have used for a year) is uploading to my iPhoto but will not show up in "last 12 months". I thought I deleted them but I found the pictures in Events. how do I get them back to "last 12 months"? I always make a book at the end of each year, but I cannot put these pictures in. They have the correct date, so that is not the issue. My iPhone4 and my other Sony camera DSC-W290 are showing up in the "last 12 months" when I downloaded my pictures today. any idea why this has just started happening?
I thought I was loosing it after taking pictures of my daughters play and then not seeing them on my computer. I thought "I know I saw the camera flash, I know I saw the picture on the screen.... HELP

I know you said the dates are correct but what you describing sounds like incorrect dates - select one of the photos in question and look at the info pane to reverify - the last 12 months is a preference that can be changed so you can play with it but that does not sound like it
You can try renewing the iPhoto preference file - A good general step for strange issues is to renew the iPhoto preference file - quit iPhoto and go to "your user name" ==> library ==> preferences ==> com.apple.iPhoto.plist and trash it - launch iPhoto which creates a fresh new default preference file and reset any personal preferences you have changed and if you have moved the iPhoto library repoint to it. This may help
This does not affect your photos or any database information (keywords, faces, places, ratings, etc) in any way - they are stored in the iPhoto library - the iPhoto preference file simply controls how iPhoto works - which is why renewing it is a good first step.

I have a CS6 suite and I don't want it to break, but I need CC.
I don't have time this week for major problems especially since CS6 suite is working great.
What's the latest news on installations such as this where CS6 suite exists, are they successful with the latest installers, versions etc.
Are problem installations effecting the CS suites, or are the problems isolated and only causing problems with CC?
Do I jump in, or run away?

The answer is 'YES'. You can install CS6 and CC on the same machine without causing abreak in fucntionality of any CS6 apps.

I can see the block (flashes) and the buttons are no longer usable.
I have Empted Cache but doesn't seem to help.

From the Safari menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences ▹ Extensions
Turn all extensions OFF and test. If the problem is resolved, turn extensions back ON and then disable them one or a few at a time until you find the culprit.
If you wish, you may be able to salvage the malfunctioning extension by uninstalling and reinstalling it. Its settings will revert to their defaults. If the extension still causes a problem, remove it permanently or refer to its developer for support.

Apple doesn't have full control over what they can sell in each country or region. The copyright owners control that.

Movies don't appear on iPod

Hi,
When I upload movies to my iPod, they don't appear. They even don't appear in iTunes. When I click on the movies-icon, iTunes doesn't show the files, but does show the space for movies used on the iPod.
I hope someone can help me with this strange problem.

I have the same problem, I have the iPod 60GB, all my Movies and tv shows are now in the music list, this is the 3rd time it happens... I had to use an external program to extract all my movies from the ipod,then copy them back to the itunes library, erase the movies that are in the music list, and it's just ridiculous that i have to do this every time...
find the program, iPod Access... thats what i used

After updating to itunes 10.7 my iphone and my ipad don't appear in itunes and because of this I could not update to ios 6.
Also after installing itunes 10.7 I got 2 errors:

I am using OS X version 10.8.2 with all the latest updates.

I downgrade to itunes 10.6.3 and the error still appears.
I have to download this utility http://www.macroplant.com/iexplorer/download-ie3-mac.php
And I deleted this file:
/private/var/mobile/Media/iTunes_Control/iTunes/iTunesCDB
That fix the problem.
Now my iphone is working without issues on latest version of itunes 10.7

WD ABAP scroll bars and buttons don't appear

If I test a transaction and the control or scroll bars don't appear when I test the service via SICF, how can I modifiy it to ensure the controls appear in SAPGUI versus webgui?

What? I'm really confused by your question. Is it even about Web Dynpro ABAP? You are talking about SAPGUI vs. Webgui. What does that have to do with Web Dynpro ABAP?

JavaHelp and OracleHelp don't appear in SSL folder

I presume that along with the other output files such as HTML
Help, WebHelp, etc. JavaHelp and OracleHelp should also appear in
the SSL folder of the Project pane. But these two deliverables
don't appear in my version of RH. I use RH X5.0.2.
Is this something related to buyer-specific need. Suppose we
would have asked for RH without JavaHelp and OracleHelp. I am not
sure. I asked the guys out here but even they are not sure.

Two things I can suggest if you're building JavaHelp,
specifically JavaHelp 2.0:
1. Make sure you have a JRE installed on your hard drive
(we're using 1.4.2_04) Since you've already installed RH, you
unfortunately need to reinstall it, then point it to the right
folder.
2. I strongly recommend suggesting to your development team
that they NOT use the JEditor Pane method of calling JavaHelp from
the Java application. Our development team is current using this
older (buggy) method and because of it, some of the limitations in
JH that Sun apparently fixed (such as not being able to link to an
external URL or email) are still present.
Let me know if you need any help with the JavaHelp stuff. I
created a whole procedure on setting it up correctly so that our
support staff can get it right every time they install RoboHelp for
us.

IPhoto '11 movies don't appear.

I've got one: I maintain several iPhoto libraries based on what I'm working on. My default library is not on the startup volume. When I launch iMovie, I see an icon for iPhoto Videos as a child of the Startup Volume. Clicking on the icon causes iMovie to crash.
There seems no way to help iMovie know where my selected iPhoto videos live. I have thought about creating a symlink to the Masters directory inside the startup volume's iPhoto package; but, I'm concerned about really freaking iMovie out and I don't know if the icon is pointing to a location or what. Besides, iMovie should know where the current iPhoto library lives, no?

Adobe Muse: Slideshows and submenus don't appear when previewed or exported

Hi! I've just put together a site in the latest version of Adobe Muse. Everything seems fine when I preview within Muse but when I preview in Firefox or export to Business Catalyst, none of the slideshows appear, (where the pics are is just blank), and the submenus don't appear either. Any ideas?

Hi! It's OK I've solved the problem! At the cost of looking like a complete idiot I'm going to share this because others might be in the same situation. I remembered that a couple of weeks ago I turned off java script in all my browsers because I had a potential security risk (which I didn't), and was advised to do so. Now, I've turned Javascript back on, everything is working perfectly! Unfortunately this has taken me about 6 hours to work out! On the plus side at least now I know what my site will look like if someone is viewing it with javascript turned off! I've used Macs professionally for about 20 years so you can imagine how stupid I'm feeling right now! Thanks for getting back to me though!
