Photos and text disappearing

I work for a magazine publication. Since using Indesign CC I have had the following problem happening regularly:
work disappears! I can select all and see where it is meant to be, and when I click 'fit to frame' the photos come back, but the text goes into a miniscule text box in the cetre of by two page spread. It is taking up valuable time and driving me crazy!! Can anyone help? Have anyone got this problem as well?

@bayfisher1 – don't get me wrong.
I suggested to copy all objects on the faulty spread (even if they are so tiny you cannot see them) by:
1. "Select All", "Copy"
2. Go to a different spread or add one to your document
3. "Paste in Place"

Why do my photos and text disinigrate quality when imported to premier pro cs6?
I have still shots that have text and they look clean and crisp when I view them in photoshop. Why does the photo and text look so fuzzy or blurry and not crisp when I import the still files into premier pro cs6?
Is there a setting in premier that I am setting incorrectly? That is possibly blurring my photos and text? The problem appears in both my PR file and my final exported work.
Is there a way to retain the quality of the image and text that I see in my photoshop file?
Note: I am not enlarging anything after import, I am reducing though, but I would think this would only make images and text sharper????
Any help would be greatly appreciated, Im getting tired of doing all my work and delivering blurry / fuzzy / what appears to be low resolution images and text when I complete my project.

Hi Jim, thanks so much again for chiming in to my questions.
Specs of Stills - Photoshop file - 677 x 1014px, 150dpi, 1.96M file size, 150dpi, this is the size of the file I originally imported and reduced to approx. 65%, the one sized properly in photoshop imported fuzzier.
Sequence Settings -
Export Settings, FLV, attached are settings.
1. EXPORT FILTER SETTINGS...
2. EXPORT FORMAT SETTINGS
3. EXPORT VIDEO SETTINGS
FINAL PROJECT IS DELIVERY OF FLV FILE TO EMBED IN INTERACTIVE FILE. Ive tried different settings for different jobs, just feel all text and photos fall apart when pulled into and exported to FLV for embedding final.
Ive done several slideshow and video's in premier pro, have so much to learn still, Im thinking I keep diving into my projects and possibly making a total mess out of my settings for the desired final destination? is this possible?

If you restore to an older backup, you will get the content that is in the backup. Everything on the iPhone will be erased and you will be brought back to the time that backup was made. You don't, unless you have a backup of that device. If you have a backup of that device when the photos and messages were on it, then you would need some 3rd party software to examine the bakups.

Help, lost all photos and texts while syncing new iphone

While syncing my husbands new iphone 3 on itunes I gained all the music but lost all photos and texts... also all the apps and contacts from my iphone were added to his phone. Just setting up my iphone 5, and its syncing everything from my previous iphone, except my photos and text messages. Ive been trying to fix this now for about 4-5 hours. Help!!!!!!

So, I backed up my iphone 4. Set up my iphone 5, pressed sync and it did its job. However, its seems to have synced everything except my photos and text messages. Basically the most things I use on my phone! Ive searched for solutions all over the internet, tried them all and still no luck. this is driving me crazy, been working on it for hours now. someone please help!

You do not sync text messages.
Did you restore the iPhone 5 from a backup of your old phone?
If not, do so to put everything back. This is assuming you want/need you sms messages.
Pictures should already be on the computer, then they can be synced to the device.

I synced my phone to my computer, and then my computer got wet... My syncs were not up to date (I know!) so I've lost tons of photos and texts. I know there is software that can help, but would appreciate a recommendation.

You've checked the purchase history on your account via your computer's iTunes (Store > View My Account), and you haven't got any auto-renewing subscriptions ? The latest .key I created is huge, .... Finder shows it as 5GB. Other .key of similar slide total are about 300-500MB. There is nothing different about this one. It is just .jpg files (photos) and text. No movies, no audio. Why so big??

iMac. 2.4GHz. Core 2 Duo. 2GB SDRAM. OS - 10.9.5.   Keynote - 6.2.2 v.1878.
I just completed a keynote slide show. The Finder indicates it is 5.25GB. It is 200 slides, no movies, no audio of any kind, no special transitions. It is just photos and some added text explanations. The individual photos are each 5-6MB, with about 190 photos total. I have other previous .key's about the size in terms of the number of photos and they are showing in the Finder as taking up 300-500MB. There is nothing different with this one particular presentation. I usually organize and store my photos using .key after a trip. Photos are downloaded into iPhoto (7.1.5) and then I build a keynote presentation by copying the photos as .jpg's out of iPhoto and into Keynote, with text as notes on or under each photo. Something changed with the latest keynote in terms of file size. But I can't determined why it required 5.25GB of disc space while other .key's of the approximate same size and content are only taking 10% of that amount. Anyone have an idea what is going on with keynote is this particular instance??? I know I could compress it, but I want to understand why the last time I used keynote the file size was so huge.    Thanks for the help.

Some additional information. In looking at the package contents info, under the DATA Folder there are several entries for each slide/photo in the .key presentation. There is a long list of contents that shows each image as:
    pasted-image-1234.png
and a second list right below that identifies each image again in the .key as:
    pasted-image-small-1234.png
Both of these lists show image files of 15-25MB for each photo, even though the original .jpg photo was 4-6MB. They list/show all of the images in the .key, but DO NOT show the added text. So it appears the package contents indicates two separate .png files for each photo in the .key, but the file size for each is 3-5 times greater than the original .jpg that was copy/pasted from iPhoto. And for some reason there are two copies of each.
There is also a list for the two following image/data files:
    pasted-image-small-small-1234.png
    st12-1234.png
Both of these lists show a file size of 100-200KB for each image, and again show all of the images in the.key.
Only the st-xx-xxxx.png list of images also show the added text.
Again it appears when I created the Keynote presentation by copy/paste images from iPhoto, Keynote stored multiple copies of each image as .png file several times larger than the original .jpg.   The completed Keynote slide show is so large is almost impossible to work with. The system is so slow that routine commands are not completed, e.g., trying to "save as" into a .pdf never finishes and I have to "force quit".
Still trying to determine why this occurred with the 6.2.2 version. Any chance I can delete all but the st-xx-xxxx image list and get back to a normal file size??

When I opened Itunes and connected my new phone...it said I can't sync my photos because I needed to update my itunes...but I have the most recent updated version of itunes on my computer..I checked. Can anyone help?

Best way to email photos and text together in an email without attachment.

Just curious everyone, I notice that you can use text edit, and drag photos in, but when you try to attach something as an rtfd. file, it doesn't work. Atleast in hotmail and gmail atleast.
What then, is another good way to compose a few photos with text to quickly email??
What I did was go straight to text edit when I had the idea.
I took a few photos, and uploaded them and edited them to text edit, I worked on the text and made a nice little piece.
But it ...yeah, you know....I have this feeling that there is a much faster and more convenient way to do this.

What is the best program to create a rehearsal dinner slideshow with audio, photos, and text?

I am about to make a slideshow/movie for my sister's wedding that includes photos, music, and text/titles. Is imovie the best for this? keynote? or perhaps some other app I am unaware of? Thanks for your input!

There are many ways to produce slide shows using iPhoto, iMovie or iDVD and some limit the number of photos you can use (iDVD has a 99 chapter (slide) limitation).
If what you want is what I want, namely to be able to use high resolution photos (even 300 dpi tiff files), to pan and zoom individual photos, use a variety of transitions, to add and edit music or commentary, place text exactly where you want it, and to end up with a DVD that looks good on both your Mac and a TV - in other words end up with and end result that does not look like an old fashioned slide show from a projector - you may be interested in how I do it. You don't have to do it my way, but the following may be food for thought!
Firstly you need proper software to assemble the photos, decide on the duration of each, the transitions you want to use, and how to pan and zoom individual photos where required, and add proper titles. For this I use Photo to Movie. You can read about what it can do on their website:

Neither of these are freeware, but are worth the investment if you are going to do a lot of slide shows. Read about them in detail, then decide which one you feel is best suited to your needs.
Once you have timed and arranged and manipulated the photos to your liking in Photo to Movie, it exports the file to iMovie as a DV stream. You can add music in Photo to Movie, but I prefer doing this in iMovie where it is easier to edit. You can now further edit the slide show in iMovie just as you would a movie, including adding other video clips, then send it to iDVD 7, or Toast, for burning.
You will be pleasantly surprised at how professional the results can be!

IOS updated to 5.0, photos and video disappeared.

I thought I was doing my DH a favor by updating his software to 5.0 on his new iOS. Now the camera will take a photo, but the photo does not appear in the Album nor anyplace else and doesn't upload to iPhoto when plugged in. And all the existing photos and video on his phone have disappeared. I imagine this is a bug?

I am having the same issue -- but I updated my phone to IOS 5 on the 12th when it came out so not sure that's the issue.
It came about for me when I used the home button to access the camera and take a picture with the volume 'up' buttom. Now I cannot access my camera roll and the phone will take but not save a picture.
There is a 'fix' out there but it involved de;eting files from the phones file system, which I am hesitant to do. I will wait for fix from apple I guess.
