Photos app frozen while creating or opening a library

Hi.
Photos loaded my entire picture library ok the first time around. After trying to add more photos from an external drive, Photos froze and will only respond to a Force Quit. I can't tell if my library is altogether gone and can't get Photos to launch at all.
Any ideas? Can i reinstall Photos? ¿Where can I check to see if my picture files are still on the computer?

Photos App keeps crashing, won´t open and I can´t view my photos anymore

Please HELP! The new Photos App got installed and now everytime I try to open it, it crashes and I don´t know how to solve this!
I used to work with a shared library between iPhoto and Aperture but most of the time I used Aperture, but when I assigned the shared library to the new Photos App, overtime I try to open the app, after 5 seconds it crashes!
I used the Ctrl+Alt thing with the Aperture to keep seeing my photos but as I understand, nothing I do in terms of modifying and updating (adding photos and stuff) the library, it does not update the original library because it is already working with the app that keeps crashing down.
What do I do??? How can I get the Photos App to work?

Maybe try it this way this is what I did with mine because I did not migrate and didn't know about that either.
Photos application for Mac Instructions that might help!
On your iPad,iPhone keep the iCloud on in settings for Photos.
if you have not opened the New Photos application yet to have it transfer your photos from iPhoto let it Transfer the Pictures.
once you have all the pictures from iPhoto to Photos then in Photos go to Preferences
there is general and iCloud tab and go to the iCloud and only uncheck the iCloud button that will make it so it doesn't sync with your iPhone and iPad for Photos.
Then in Photos go up to View and press show sidebar because with that view you can move your pictures easier to albums snd delete or move any pictures or make new albums
For Duplicates if you have a big pile in a row and I mean not like every other picture of the same pictures on the keyboard Hold down the shift button. or the other way is to Hold down the Command buttom that is right by the space bar then on the trackpad or mouse click once on the picture you want to delete and do a bunch at a time then on the last picture of that pile either right click the picture and delete or go up to the edit button which is next to file on the top left and click delete in edit.
when you are all done with moving around your pictures or whatever go back to Preferences and turn on iCloud and make sure you have the optimize Mac Storage and then you are done! I hope this makes sense and works for you! here are the 2 pictures I'm talking about in settings.

Error while creating and opening a ERP sales order in SAP CRM

I am getting an error while creating or opening a ERP sales order from SAP CRM.
"Creation of the ERP Transaction failed" this is the error i'm getting while creating. when i try to open an existing sales order I'm getting a dump.
Attached the dump screen shot. From the dump analyasis it seems the transactions are not loaded through LORD framework.
The RFC connection seems to fine as i have tested accessing an ECC RFC FM through a sample program and its successful..
please help..

As a matter of fact, we already use ERP Sales Order and it works fine. But I have recently configured a new sales order document type, and the dump occurs only for this new Z order type.

In the new Photo app 'Projects' will not stay open

Hi
In the new Photo app. released last week, I can not get the 'projects' to remain open. It just crashes and closes and actually now , since this afternoon I can not open any of it without it crashing.
i have a mid 2011 iMac running Yosemite 10.10.3.
i have a few photo books, slideshows and cards in the projects if this helps.
If anyone can help I would really appreciate it, even if its just so I can access the photos.

Many people are reporting the project->crash problem. To the best of my knowledge, there is no fix for it.
For some folks, a temporary workaround is to select View->Sidebar and access the projects *individually*.
Hopefully this will work for you, fairymoo!
Apple's Meta-Problem: Inexplicably, "Photos" is *NOT* listed as an Application Community on the top-level web-site "https://discussions.apple.com/welcome" ... thus plenty of folks (including the poster and me too) have been unable even to find the right community for seeking/posting solutions.
Conclusion: not a smooth roll-out, Apple! Not least, why is the Photos Community so difficult to locate?

New iPod 5 gen and apps won't work, and when I take photos in the camera roll they show up when I click the preview in the left bottom corner but not in the photo album in the photos app, frozen a lot and resets it self a lot when it's frozen! Please help

My brand new iPod touch 5th gen (silver) i use it a lot and I take really great care if it but just today it's been acting really slow, freezing up all the time, it won't let me open up apps, the notification bar (dragged down) all gone (no markets/weather/noticfications) and never says anything, and the camera. Camera is really bugging me, when you go in the app "camera" I tooka photo, and I went to the left bottom corner and clicked that preview, it shows all the photos there, but it won't let you edit them, share or delete them. But when you go into the photos app, and go to camera roll they aren't there at all.
When I try to open apps, they freeze and then I try to move/delete them and then it freezes, and stops everything. Shuts down, and restarts and like nothing's happened.
Please, this is my first iPod and I really care about this so so much. Please somebody help me with something!!!! Please!!!!

Try:

Apps closing while trying to open them after update to iOS 6

My phone apps have been starting to open when I select them but immediately close no errors they just close. Safari did this while looking up websites and several other apps started doing it today. Sometimes after several attempts of opening one of the apps it will stay open and seem to be ok. If you double tap the home button and close the app it then will have an issue opening again for several attempts. I have had no problems with this phone and was so happy to have dumped droid but now after the update this issue is getting annoying. I have shut down and rebooted phone I removed and reloaded one app and it seems better but still acting strange. I am thinking about going back to iOS 5.

Actually DIESEL they do force you to update. my wife has not update hers yet to ios6 and none of the apps work at full tilt anymore because they are all updated for ios 6....Apple is now making you either update(and ruin your iphone 4s) or buy the new iphone 5(which i doubt will have any of the problems people with iphone 4s are having).
Since updating my 4s i have lost signal, data has been very low at best. i can not access any apps or they open up and do not refresh. I use to have 4bars at my work and now i have 1.

Ipad: photo app crashes while "make new stream" for icloud

HI,
I have a problem using the photo app on my ipad (with the most actual ios software IOS7.1). I would like to generate a new shared photostream. When I touch "make new stream" the app crashes and needs to be closed with "doubleklick" on the home button and close it. Otherwise it does not work again.
I already made a soft-reset, a complete reset of the ipad. I also de- and reactivated the Icloud setting.
With the same software version on my iphone it works without any problem.
Can somebody help me?

Try rebooting: Press and hold BOTH the power and home buttons at the SAME time for about 10 seconds (ignore the red slider) until the APple Logo appears, then let go of both buttons. You won't lose any data or settings.

The photos app hung while trying to import 48 new pictures. Can close the app nor shutdown OSx - what to do?

Photos app hung when trying to import 48 new pictures from iPhone.
After 2 hours of no results, I clicked to "stop import" and the app did not stop nor will it close.
Get little window that says "closing the library" when I try to quit. Now been another 2 hours since stop import.
App is using 0 CPU cycles when checked in activity monitor.
Cannot shut down OS X as Photos is preventing/canceling the shut down/
What to do?
p.s. I was able to relaunch and import the new Photos to iPhoto since my last synch. Need to free space on my iPhone since all of the apps have updates with iWatch support enable and that are now taking significant addition space on the iPhone.

Since you cannot even shutdown the system, try to quit Photos from the Terminal.
Launch the Terminal.app from the folder Applications > Utilities.
Copy and paste this command into the Terminal window:
killall iPhoto
If this will also not terminate iPhoto, try this modification:
killall iPhoto -KILL
The "kill" command sends a signal to the process to be terminated. Without a signal name as parameter, it is the "TERM" signal, the same as "Force Quit" will send. This request can be ignored. The "KILL" signal is the ultimate killer, it is not catchable and cannot be ignored.

Weird glitch. Everytime I open Photos app, it instantly creates a new email

Empty address bar and what isn't even the newest picture in the roll. I even deleted all instances of the picture it is using and it still does it. As soon as I open up Photos, I just tries to email that same picture everytime. It's annoying having to click cancel, then delete draft every-time. I checked my drafts folder too, empty. What's going on?

I feel bad because I can never remember the names of the people I talk to at customer support but thank you to the very nice lady who helped me. (Rita?, Lisa? Linda? Sorry!)
Anyways, she said it was the first case of this she had seen as well (chalk it up to early adoption) so she had to ask higher ups, not something I think anyone enjoys doing, and refused to have me take "just restore" as an answer.
The suggestion of deleting the email account that was being used by the glitch to try sending the email, then re-adding, worked!
Details: Gmail account that was added under microsoft exchange for push support.
Had already deleted all instances of that picture on phone, then all instances on gmail and mobileme accounts by her suggestion, yet it was still popping up instantly when Photos launched. Still not sure where that was cached.
Anyways, looks like this is the first case of this. I tried calling back to thank her, but apparently we had gone past closing time while on the phone (hope you got some overtime!)

SOLUTION:
Delete email account being used by the "glitch" when it tries to send the picture email, check to make sure it's fixed. Took a few tries for me but finally cleared up without reboot or anything. Then just re-add the email account.
In this case it was a Gmail account but set up under Microsoft Exchange to use Push. I also had a mobileme account attached but not for email. So other accounts shouldn't matter if not being used for email. If you have multiple email accounts being used for email, just find out which email is being used to actually send it by letting it send the picture. Then delete accordingly. Re-add.

Photos App compression while using Optimized Mac Storage option

I just purchased a MacBook Pro 512 for personal and work use, 512 GB SSD. My main system at home is a Mac Mini with a Pegasus Raid with 2.9 TB, and I'm keeping all my 55K photos and video library there, which takes about 289 GB of storage. I'm also synchronizing with iCloud, so my entire library is in there. I know I can't sync with my iPhone 6+ 64GB because it will fill up the space and create all kinds of issues (case already open, no resolution yet).
My question is, does anyone know what the compression rate is for storing a local copy of the iCloud Photos library while choosing the Optimize Mac Storage option?
This is very crucial for me for different reasons: When downloading my Photos library to my work laptop, I don't want to fill up my 512 GB drive with photos and not have room for work documents. So it'll be nice to know in advance how much space this library will take. In addition to that, my Internet service provider has a 300 GB a month allowance and this initial download would probably take a big hit over that number, so if I can know how much data is going to be downloaded in advance, I can probably do the download from a location other than my house.

WP8.1 Universal : Error Image does not have a candidate in main app package while creating a package

I just finished an universal app was gonna publish it on the store, on windows 8.1 no problem
On Windows Phone 8.1 I got error when creating the app package for every images I declared in the app manifest
"App manifest references the image 'Assets\Tiles\StoreLogo.png' which does not have a candidate in main app package"

I made clean, delete tempory files, restart visual studio, delete and add the picture again, open the
manifest file to check manualy the path (it is correct with backslash)... without result.
Finaly I found a fix : generate app bundle at never, as my app has no specific
assets in other language I don't understand why.
Is this a bug (and I would like to report it) or is there a reason to this exception ?

TS1702 apps frozen while updating

while updating apps they have stopped updating and are now "waiting" how can i stop them and try again.

If rebooting doesn't help, (holding down on the sleep and home buttons until the Apple logo appears on the screen) here are a couple of other things to try.
Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.
If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Sign in and then try to update again. Tap one waiting icon only if necessary to start the download stream.
You can also try deleting the waiting icons - tap and hold down on an icon until it wiggles - the tap the X on the icon to delete it. Then try to download again.
You can try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your app preferences and device settings again.

Apple iBook App Frozen While Installing and Has Downloaded 2 Times?!

On my new iPhone 4S, I started downloading apps from my previous iPhone 3GS. When I got to iBooks, it downloaded it two times (two icons) and got a full blue installing bar, but wouldn't finish! It won't delete either. Does anyone know of a quick way to help this? I only got this phone a few days ago and I'm already disappointed that something already went wrong. :/ Thank you!

I have
*Uninstalled and reinstalled both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Microsoft SQL Server Compact 3.5 Service Pack
* Verified any existing .sdf is deleted
*Verified directory that .sdf is supposed to be written to is writable (I do see the .opensdf when it tries to create the sdf)
*Ran a repair of visual studio
*Uninstalled completely VS and Sql Server then reinstalled it.
None of this fixes the problem for me? Please help.

Hi,
I have solved the issue as below:
This error was started when I install a software which I have made myself and it uses sql server compact edition 3.5.
I saw when I manually replaced the sql related files from "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Server Compact Edition\v3.5" with the files which my software setup had "version 3.5.5386.0" then the error started. And if copy back the latest version 3.5.8080.0
then it disappear. So use latest sql files in your software too.
My software was replacing the the latest files with older version.
