PHOTOS ARE YELLOW

My photos are printing with a yellow tint to them.  Not even close to the actual picture colors.  Tried new ink cartridges of course, no difference.  I'm using HP Premium Plus photo paper, but it's the same with other photo papers.  I have had way better quality with lesser and older HP printers, something is not right.  This is a new printer and it's been like this from day one.

  • Photos Displayed Are Yellow - Elements 6.0

Whenever I open a photo in Photoshop Elements 6.0 the white colors are yellow.  The same photographs when viewed in other software or a browser window, appear as they should with the whites being white.  It is only Elements that changes the whites to a yellow tone.  It is so bad that I cannot edit the photos because I can't tell if what I am doing will fix anything.
Our monitor is a 22" Samsun SyncMaster 2233SW that we just purchased and we are not having any color issues with it in any other area.  I can't imagine what is causing the trouble.
Thank you in advance for any help with this issue.

This very definitely smells like a profile issue, since you say other applications display the same photos without the yellow cast.
A couple of years ago, I experienced problems with Samsung's drivers and its display profiles, including the color cast problem. I solved my problems initially by uninstalling the drivers (you don't need them for basic use) and by removing the Samsung profiles.   Later I bought a Spyder to calibrate my display.
I do not know why there are so many, nor did I knowingly add any of these.
Some come preinstalled by Windows, some get installed by various applications and drivers.
    More troubleshooting:
    1. Which particular programs show the photos without the cast: Windows Picture And Fax Viewer, IE 8, another one? Let's confirm the programs to ensure they indeed aren't color-managed.
I changed the default profile from "SM2233W.icm" to "srgb color space profile.icm" but that made no difference.
    2. "srgb color space profile.icm" is the filename of the profile I was referring to.  (Confusingly, profiles have an internal name that is sometimes display and that can be different than the filename.)   I don't know why you can't remove the previous profile, nor why associating this profile doesn't solve the problem.
    3. You said you calibrated with the Samsung calibration tool, but your current profile was SM2233W.icm, which I  believe is the factory Samsung display profile that gets installed with the Samsung drivers.  The profile resulting from your calibration was most likely "SEC Natural color pro. March 092009 - 04 30 PM.icm", but it wasn't set as the profile for your display.  So even though you thought you were using the results of calibration, you weren't.
    4. Try downloading Microsoft's Color Control Applet for Windows XP and using that to try removing all profiles associated with the display and setting sRGB as the default profile.   The applet has a good reputation, and I have a vague memory of problems with associating profiles being fixed by the use of the applet:

Photos are not adjustable in Aperture v.2.1.4.
    17200 photos can not adjust?
This applies to pictures before 02/28/1910?
All the pictures have a yellow mark with a ! in the bottom right of the picture.
Also appears in the box Badger.
Also get the message "Image not found"?
    What have I done?
    Help me.

    Hi all.
    Now everything is in order.
I had an upgrade of Aperture. It deleted a main folder called "All photos". Luckily I had saved the library to an extra hard drive. Imported the back and everything in order.
Was too much interested in looking at the World Championships in snooker. Sorry.
    Thank you would help me.
I'm from Norway. Take a look at my kingdom, so you will understand why I take so many pictures.

  • I have iTunes 10.5 and a 4g iPod touch. WHen I upgraded to 5.01, my photos are not all in the correct folders. Any ideas?

When I load my photos on my 4g ipod touch with iOS 5.01, the photos are there but not all in the correct folders. How can I correct that?

I spent last week looking for a solution to that little yellow "!" needle haystack....
It is probably buried where nothing can touch or change it other than what I resorted to and would have saved time, clean install after I made sure to have two backup sets: Windows Easy Transfer plus Paragon clone OS and partitions to drive. Had to spend a full day reinstalling, updates, etc. Careful not to bring back any prefs or data that might be corrupt or wrong.
10.5 and iOS 5 on new iPod 4G works much better though and as they should and no issues like I had with AMS or other services or needing to restart first before launching iTunes.

After migrating data from Time Machine, some of my photos are not showing up in iPhoto LIbrary view. I get a 'dashed rectangle." When I click on it I get ' ! in a Triangle" When I click on that, I actually can see the photo. I want to see all  my photos in 'Library' view, and I can't figure out how these photos seem to be arbitrarily hidden. Help, please.

Try these for the first attempt:
First be sure to have a backup copy of the library if you already don't have one.

  • The latest answer from you to me is that my photos are safe and that I should look in a default folder. I have tried to do this but cannot find it.  How do I find the default folder.

I received your emai stating that my photos are safe and are present in the folder on your computer that you specified when importing them. If you used Photoshop Album Starter Edition to import your files from the camera without changing the default folder, look in this folder.  I have tried looking in the default folder and there is nothing there to help. Some of these photos were scanned in from my Cannon Printer.  Surely if Adobe are requesting me to register and telling me they will send me a code no. that is all that needs to be done.

I repeat my previous questions that you ignored:
How to compare Elements to CS5 or 6?
Can I upgrade from Elements to CS?
Is Elements 13 comes in DVD format?
I'm interested in upgrading my Elements 10 to????
    Your advise please?
I'm so sorry, but in today's world, the support of low cost products through personal contact has become very uncommon.  It simply does not pay to sell a product for $50 or $100 and then pay people to sit in cubicles to talk on the phone that may cost $50 or $100 an hour.
That said, I'll try to help for free!
CS5, CS5.5 and CS6 are products from the past that, as far as I know are not being updated or maintained.  Adobe has replaced them with the "Creative Cloud" or "CC".  So, if you want a current version of "Premier CC", you "rent" it for $20 a month.  For $50 a month, you can rent everything Adobe makes for photogrphers, videographers, designers and graphic artists.
If "upgrade" means "get a cheaper price", no.
The easiest way to buy the DVD version of Elements 13 is to order it from a major retailer like B&H Photo or Amazon.  I've checked and both have it.   The cheapest way to buy it is to wait for holiday season pricing.

  • Lightroom says photos are already in folder - but they aren't

    Hello lightroom users,
Am hoping you can shed some light onto a problem I'm having.  I had to move my lightroom folders between external harddrives and in doing so, the folders seem to have duplicated, with the photos shared between them. So I have my 2013 folder twice (with subfolders by date) and my photos are spread between the two folders.
I obviously don't want two folders for 2013, so I am trying to move the photos from one set into the other. Unfortunately, an error prompt appears each time, saying that the photos I am trying to move already exist in the other set. They don't! They are missing from the other set.
Is the problem that the folders/subfolders share the same name? In which case, would it suffice to change the names of the folders (how do I do that)? How can I fix this?! Thanks so much for your help, I am at my wit's end. ..

You need to check with Comcast to see if they even offer IMAP in your area. They are just now starting to offer it in some locations. They are about 10 year behind the times.

  • On my iMac my photos are in Pictures, not in iPhoto. They are numbered to keep them in sequence on my Imac, but they do not show in sequence on my AppleTV. How do I get them to show in sequence, (start of vacation to end of vacation) ? THANKS!

    Hello Support Group!
All of my photos are in folders under the  "Finder", "Favorites", "Pictures" category on my IMac. ( Mac OSX version 10.7.5)  Each folder has sequentially numbered photos to keep them in order for viewing. For example, my folder titled " Travel - Hong Kong 2004" has 50 photos in it showing the trip from start to finish, each photo numbered 111, 112, 113, etc. I do not use any 0's, so the numerical sequence will go 118, 119, 121, 122. This process works well to keep the photos of my trip in sequence when I am looking at them on my IMac.
When I watch the same folder on my Apple TV the photos are displayed randomly. The Apple TV is instructed not to shuffle the photos on slideshow. Can anyone tell me how I can get my photos to show in sequence on Apple TV?  My Apple TV is Model MC 572C/A and the software is 5.2.1 (6025) updated today. Thanks very much!
    Doug May

I can't recall whether slideshows are ordered by title or date, but you can manually re-arrange the albums in iPhoto, then batch change them once you have the order you want.

  • In the last 36 hours my photos have jumbled within various albums. Random photos have attached at the end of an unrelated album, old photos have appeared again on Recently Added, some photos are missing but still on "collections". No date order

Within the last 36 hours my photo albums have turned into a real jumbled mess. Random photos have appeared at the bottom of my Recently Added album. In most cases it's a copy of a photo that was taken months or years ago so now it appears twice.. 200 random photos have appeared in an unrelated album.  Some photos are missing completely. The date order is correct in some places and then it goes back and forth over the months and years. The "collections" appears to be okay.  This morning when I went into the photo app About 50 photos that were permanently deleted 3 months ago reappeared on the Recently Added Album which  I deleted again.  if  I delete these irreplaceable photos from the unwanted album it will delete the photo completely. Help please - this is so annoying and frustrating. I hate to think when I turn the iPad on tmoor row what else will have changed .

    Quick Update:
I usually have my Mac laptop up with Messages running on it.  As you know, it will receive the same messages you send/receive on your iPhone.  I thought all my old photos would be there too, but they have all disappeared as well except for the last few.
Messages is supposed to archive all old photos to  a directory called ~/Library/Messages/Attachments.  On my mac, this was a 0 byte file that was created back in Jan 2014.  As a result, none of the old photos got saved on my Messages app either.  I looked at a Time Machine Backup and it has been the case since September (no earlier backups available).  So, it's unclear how long this issue has been going on for my Messages app and how related it is to my iPhone problem.
In any case, if any of you use Messages, you may be able to recover your photos in that directory provided it didn't get trashed like mine did.  I moved the file and created a new Attachments directory.  Upon relaunch, Messages started properly storing new photos in there again.
Either there was a really terrible bug in the Apple software or something malicious has happened.
P.S.  I'm running OS 10.9.5 Mavericks.   There is a thread of people with this problem on Yosemite here:
No pictures are shown in Message om Mac
This seems like a pretty seriously terrible bug.  I will be talking again to AppleCare on Wednesday and I hope they can escalate this.

At the AT&T store. Tried using iCloud but only 120 songs were transferred and when I access my iTunes account now it only shows 120 and not the 450 anymore that I purchased on my old phone. Tried to sync again from the phone to iTunes and it still not working.
I purchased everything under the same apple ID account I called apple support and spent almost 2 hours with tech support for assistance and we got disconected and they never called me back.
I'm at the point where I'm about to never purchase anything anymore from apple go to another company retrieve every single charge made on my bank account from iTunes and file a law suit against the company. If you could please help me I will appreciate, I'm out of the country now and can't stay on the phone for a long time.
I need to sell my old phone but as right now besides all my bank statements the old phone is the only evidence that I purchased the songs.

  • I am trying to import photos into PSE 12 from folders on my desktop, which are organized by broad topics--family, vacations, etc..  Many of my photos are located in several folders.  When I try to import them to PSE I get a message saying some photos were

I am new to PSE 12 and am trying to import my photos from folders on my desktop which I have organized by the categories I had in my previous program (Creative Memories).  Many of my photos are located in multiple folders, i.e. one photo could be in "Family," Vacations" and "Birthdays."  When I try to import the contents of each folder on my desktop I am often getting the message that many of my photos were not imported as they are already in my catalog.  Is there a way that I can import any one photo multiple times so that it ends up in all the folders I want it to be in?  I know I can locate the photo in PSE and copy it to a different folder(s), but there are so many not being imported that this would be a huge task!

By design, the organizer (and any other database management systems) is there to prevent you from duplicating your media files. The catalog management allows you to have the same image in different categories or albums. Duplication in different folders is to be absolutely avoided.
The same image file can have multiple tags like 'family', 'vacations', 'birthdays' and be present in three different albums with the same names. On obvious advantage is less disk space. Another one with your present folder system is that if you edit one of your duplicates, the other ones are unchanged.
I don't see an easy way to make your present folder structure simplified for the organizer ...

  • I am trying to make a DVD of some of my photos in iPhoto 11.   The photos are in iPhoto, but in one of my external hard drives.   I have been able to make DVD's just recently, but not now.  What can I do?  At the end I get a notice of "failure

HELP, HELP, I am having difficulty making a DVD-R  of some photos I have in one of my folders in iPhoto 11.   I use iPhoto on my external HD.   I have never had problems before today making copies of my photos using DVD-R disk.   I am doing the same thing that worked before.   Some of my photos are going to be put in a gallery for showing and I need to make a DVD so they can choose which ones to display and enlarge the photos.   It was due TODAY!  Yikes!  At the end of each try I get a window saying "BURN FAILED - The burn to the OPTIARC DVD RW AD-5670S drive failed.  The disk drive didn't respond properly and can't recover or retry."    help...........

How are you getting the photo onto the disk to burn?  Have you tried exporting then to a folder on the Desktop and then burning that folder to disk using the Finder.  That will give you a data disk with just the jpeg image files in the folder.
If that's what you're doing and getting the burn failed then it's a system or optical drive issue.
If you're using the Share  ➙ Burn menu in iPhoto that will create a disk with a mini iPhoto library on it that can only be used by another Mac running iPhoto.
Can you elaborate on your workflow.
