Photos, audio and movies on my storage

Hi,
why on my new Macbook pro retina 13" the storage is occupied with 2,13 GB of photos, 1,39 GB of audio and 500 MB of movies but i have just two photos and few audio files on the storage?

IWeb, audio and movie films not loading correctly

I have a personal website and want to upload some audio and movie files to it.
I created the website through my iMac's iWeb software.
I followed the instructions in the help manual and loaded the six audio files and four movie files, they all loaded correctly, however, when I logged onto my website, I can see the files there but not the playing controls.
I contacted the support dept of my domain host, and they informed me that this is a script/coding issue.
Can anyone provide any help on how I resolve this?

Embed audio and movie into pdf

Since acrobat pro 9 is not available for mac I don't understand why Apple can't embed audio and movie into pdf. This is a really needed feature. Oh and also creating spreads in pages09 is needed as well. I want to use pages to create ebooks with audio and movie data etc come on Apple get it sorted .. You have an amazing program here and could clout Adobe on the head if you implemented these features.

How come you think acrobat Pro isn't availeble for Mac???

Every time I export a slideshow with photos,music and movies to i tunes it quits, after waiting 3 or 4 hours it just quits

Question. I am unable to export a slideshow of photos, music and movies to i tunes. I wait hours watching the blue bar and it quits every time. Has anybody got a simple answer to this problem.

The audio is a .wav file created in Audacity.
The OS is Windows XP
The verison is CS4
I have included images of the Sequence settings and the playback settings because I was not sure what information you would need.
I am not sure what you mean by waiting for the Audio to conform but I know I have imported the audio and gone back the next day and tried to place it in the timeline and it still did not work.

Here is my first question about Keynote.
In the User Guide, we may read:
Copy audio and movies into document: Selecting this checkbox saves audio and
video files with the document, so the files play if the document is opened on another
computer.
*_You might want to deselect this checkbox so that the file size is smaller, but_*
*_media files won’t play on another computer unless you transfer them as well._*
The named checkbox is unchecked in the Advanced options as well as in the Preferences pane but, when I drag a sound file, in fact a mp3 one encapsulated in a .mov file, I retrieve it it the document itself.
I'm running the app on a French system if it may make sense.
Am'I doing something wrongly ?

I have no huge knowledge about Keynote.
So, I would use brute force.
Assuming that your document is built with the flatfile format introduced by iWork '09
(1) rename the document wxyz.key as wxyz.key.zip
(2) double click the renamed document
it will expand as a wxyz.key document using the old package structure
(3) ctrl + click the icon of the new wxyz.key document to reach the contextual menu offering the item allowing you to "Display Package Contents"
(4) in this contents you will see the "kind of aliases" which I wrote about.
They are named something like : azertyui.mov
(5) open them with an hexadecimal editor like the free Hexedit.
You may also drag & drop them on the TextEdit icon.
In this late case you will get something like :

Here it must be read as:
Macintosh HD/Important/Téléchargements/jef gilson - oeil vision/jej gilson - oeil vision - 7 -chant inca.mp3
This is the path to the true file.
With this info, you may reach the true file.
As far as I know, the embedded .mov file is a frozen 'kind of alias' so you are not allowed to move it.
As long as it remains where it is, you may move the keynote document everywhere on your HD. You may also move it on an external HD.
As long as the device is connected to your machine with the media file untouched thr doc will behave flawlessly.
If you move it to an other machine, it will be orphan.
So, to use it on an other machine, you must embed the media file in the document.
Open this document with Keynote.
Check the checkbox urging Keynote save media in the document
Delete the icon of the media item existing in the document
Drag & drop the true media file as a replacement of the deleted one
then save the document.

There are several ways to do this. Unfortunate none are built into iMovie '08 which don't require external processing. Your basic options are to either use iMovie HD for this purpose or pre-process a clip externally before import/editing in iMovie '08. Hevere is a "Quickie" tutorial demonstrating how the free JES Deinterlacer application can be used to spped up or slow down playback of QT files:

Updating photo's and movies galleries without using iweb

good day to you
i made a new website to my friend and upload it to his server
1. there are 4 galleries for photos and i want to give my friend the option to upload new photos, is there a way to make it in iweb? i want to get into one page and have there 4 photos for each gallery
and then when you press it you will be able to see all the other photos - and the big problem is how do i make it for him to update the photos ?
2. also like photos i want to do the same thing for movies is there a way?

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Use a java script slideshow have him replace the existing image files i with new photos having the same file name. I have a couple of such slideshows:
Flash Album Exporter Postcard and AutoViewer Slideshow Themes. Both themes only require uploading a full sized image, not thumbnail file is required.
Jalbum-Digital Photo Librarian Skin. There are over 100 different Jalbum themes to choose from. Many will not require a thumbnail file. Some do.
All your friend would need to to is create the image files in the same pixel dimension as what is created initially and at an optimized files size so it's not too big, somewhere between 30 and 200 KB, and up load to the folder containing the image files used by the java code.
Another type is this Conveyor Belt Slideshow. Again, you upload a folder of photos to the server and link to them in the code provided. You can change the code to use whatever size photo you'd like.

How to sync Audio and Movie?

I record "my hands" playing piano by an external web cam and record audio by line.
The Movie- the movements of my hands- is slower than the audio. How do I sync this in Quicktime 10?

There should be a setting on the camera for the audio bitrate.
Quicktime 10 does not have a preference panel. Better to use Quicktime 7.
Also check you settings in Audio MIDI setup:
1. Open Audio MIDI Setup (/Applications/Utilities/), then check the Audio Output setting.
2. Change the Audio Output setting to 44100.0 Hz.
3. Quit Audio MIDI Setup.

Does Pages covert To the new ePub 3 format, so can imbed audio and movie files?

I would like to create an enhanced ebook with movies and audio files in it. Heard that the new ePub 3 format support that. Question is if pages converts to ePub 3?

Old .mac photo pages and new iweb pages

I have photo albums and movies previously published on a .mac homepage. I also have new photo album pages published through iweb. Are the two connected or related in any way? Do I just have to republish the old pages through iweb, or should they be linked or transferred. Is there any published information about this stuff anywhere?

IOS5 update has deleted my all Photos, Music and Video.

Please help me. I have updated my iPod 4g with iOS5, while updating it asked me to sync/backup which i have taken already.
Once iOS5 got installed on iPod all the Photos, Audio and Video got deleted. Is there any way to get that lost data back to my iPod.

Sounds like you didn't have those sync options turned on in iTunes (on mac) when you updated.
If you have backed up prior to the update you should be able to restore your data. (restore from backup).
On iTunes go to preferences then devices to see a list of your recent backups before you begin.

To add to Nick's comments, "Other" is typically approximately 1 gigabyte. Occasionally for some users, it gets much (many times) bigger because they have some corrupt files. If that's the case, it's best to restore the iPhone.
Plug the iPhone into (current) iTunes, let it sync, then choose "Restore" on the right. If restoring from the iPhone backup does not help, then restore (again) as new and then manaully sync the iPhone.

Carry on deleting things because you haven't got enough storage. Note that movies take some GBs of storage
