Photos became invisible?

I was moving my photos around into a new folder called "Photos", and I had selected about 20 and dropped them into "Photos". However, when this happened, all the folders within the folder that "Photos" was in disappeared! On the bottom, it still says "4 items, 23.13 GB available", but there's nothing there to click on.
What might've happened and how can I make them visible again?

It's sounds to me as though, somehow, you've just moved those folders elsewhere, probably into the Photos folder. You've probably already discovered this, but maybe not. Ignore the info at the bottom of the window, as it's notoriously unreliable on OS X and can take a little longer to update than we'd like. I would suggest that, as you have Tiger, just use Spotlight to find your missing folders by first typing in their name, entering a space, and adding "kind:folder", before hitting Enter. They should pop right up even if, God forbid, they're in the Trash.

The obvious and simple solution is to restore from the back up you made before upgrading.
Other than that you'll need to give us a lot more detail. Mavericks doesn't ask you to upgrade your Photos, upgrading to a later iPhoto asks you about upgrading the Library. Where is the library? What version were you upgrading from? Anything else you can tell us that might help understand the problem you're having.

TS3297 Icons in the purchase tab became invisible

I'm using.the new iPad and thus the lastest system software. Suddenly all icons in the purchase tab in App Store became invisible. I can still click them if I touch a right point and I can grab apps if I use find and then the details are opened in a proper manner, however I can no longer see the whole list of my purchases. Tried many times but no luck. Any help will be extremely appriciated.
PS. I'm not using iTunes on my PC at all.

System Preferences > Dock. Change the size slider
If you want to remove items from the Dock, then drag them off until you see the puff of smoke attached to the icon. Let the icon go. This will not delete the application from the computer, just remove it from the Dock. Applications will still be available in your Applications folder.

If you want to remove the movies & videos from your iPod Nano in order to transfer to your computer, connect your iPod Nano to your computer. Double click your iPod Nano icon. Double click the DCIM folder. Your recorded video content will be in your DCIM folder. Drag the video content onto your desktop & place them where you want.

Why the photos became smaller after it's been imported to iphoto 08?

the actual photo size is like 5-10mb, but after i imported it into iphoto, it shows 2-4mb, what should i do if i wanna import the photo in their original size???

1. Turn off auto rotate on your camera then you can choose whether or not to do it yourself. Remember, if you're printing (which is whee this would most come into play) you can use the page set up to print the unrotated pic the right way up, if you follow me.
2. Alternatively: download the pics to your desktop first (use Image Capture to do this) and then rotate them before importing using somethng like Graphic Coverter or CocoaViewX. (Either of which will do lossless rotation.) The import them into iPhoto.

Files on external HD became invisible

Hello,
Really really need your help.
I'm selling a laptop so I backed up all my files on WD 320GB HD, created three partitions (all HFS+) - Back'Up, Home Files and Media Files. Everything was fine until my friend unplugged the HD without ejecting it first. Now I can only access files on first two partitions, but when I go to Media Files, it show only the top folders (Music, Movies and Pictures), but nothing inside them. Strangely, Finder still shows that this partition is half full which means the files are still there, I just cannot see them.
I tried repairing permissions with Disk Utility, rebuilding directory with DiskWarrior but still nothing.
Can you help, please?

Photo's invisible in trash

When deleting photo's they are not vissible in trash. When I delete a project with photo's I don't have that problem. Is there an answer?

This has worked for other users in the past with the problem of not being able to see images in the Aperture trash:
I have an experimental procedure which should fix the problem. It is safe but I strongly recommend you have a backup of the library before proceeding.
Quit Aperture. Now locate the Aperture library in the Finder. Once you have located it select the library and right click. In the menu that opens is a selection Show Package Contents, select it
The Finder will now show you all the files that make up the library, locate the folder named Database, open it. IN there is a folder calledAlbums, open it.
IN there is a file called trashAlbum.apalbum, select it and move it to the trash.
Now open Aperture while holding down the command and option keys and do a Rebuild Database.
The trash should start working again.
Note the images that were in the trash that you couldn't see will not be recovered, they will be gone. But the trash should work going forward.

There is also a file TrashFolder.apfolder in the Folder Folders in the library. You might as well delete that one also. For some users just deleting the first file is sufficient some have had to delete both.

How a gallery of 10,000 photos became 30,000 photos !?!?

Having problems with my Mac G4 120GB HD I backed it to an external HD including iPhoto 6.0.6 library. I formatted the HD, reinstalled the system and copied back the iPhoto 6.0.6 library to it.
The result was that instead of some 10,000 photos I have today 30,000:
The Originals, the Modified and the Thumbs, and each of course has its thumb; all show in iPhoto main window
How do I shrink my gallery back to its original volume?
How do I rearrange the Modified photos in a way that will enable me to "Revert to Original"?
Note: In some "Originals" images the option "revert to original" exists but on most it do not.
Your help will be much appreciated. thanks

At a guess you imported your iPhoto Library Folder from the back up into the new iPhoto. This treated all the pics as new pics. Hence you triplication, to coin a word.
Go to your Pictures Folder and move the iPhoto Library Folder there to the desktop.
So, do you still have that back up? If so, copy it to the Pictures Folder and launch iPhoto. Does that work?
If it does, trash the one on the desktop.

My Album Photos are Invisible

While editing my online albums I accidentally changed the settings and now I can't see my photos. How do I change it back?

Your iPod's artwork cache may have become corrupt. I would suggest clearing it out and rebuilding it. To do this:
1. Plug the iPod in and when it appears in iTunes, click on its device name on the left pane of iTunes if necessary
2. Under the Music tab, remove the check mark next to “include album artwork on this iPod.”
3. Hit Apply to sync the updated changes.
4. After it has finished syncing, place the check mark back next to “include album artwork on this iPod” option.
5. Again, hit Apply to sync the updated changes.
6. Lastly, properly eject your iPod, and verify that the album artwork is correct.

Messages are invisible in webaccess

We've got a mailbox that looks just fine in the Windows client, but in
webaccess, it appears to be empty.
This began last week as a situation where only some messages were
invisible. Messages in any folder that was free of mail dated 1/28/15
(the date when it all started) could still be seen in webaccess. In
fact, a couple of folders in the cabinet each had a message from that
date, and all mail could be seen therein. But as time went on, all the
mail became invisible to webaccess.
Moving all the inbox mail from the "bad" date into a separate folder did
not restore visibility to the inbox.
All the analyze/fix GWChecks that I have run indicate no problems. I
noted at one point that there were two entries for "All Users" in its
proxy access list, so it got the /proxyfix option during one of those
gwcheck passes, and that cleared up that little issue.
This particular mailbox is a fairly important means of contact with our
customers, so I have to be pretty careful with it. It's also important
that it be usable via webaccess, so declaring "you have to use the
client" isn't really an option.

Ha! I just discovered it seems to have fixed itself! Andy, I had done
both of those repairs last week, to no immediate effect. However, some
combination of deleting messages (in the ordinary course of business)
and the scheduled maintenance routines seems to have done the trick. I
certainly hope that's the last we see of this little nugget of trouble!

How many photos can I put in elements

I just recently bought a new computer. I had someone else transfer all my files to the new computer. I have been using Elements for years now (different versions). I now have version 12. Along the years, unfortunately, my photos became very mixed up with some on my hard drive and some on 2 external drives. So, I think I have now loaded them all into one folder on my new computer. I would like to import them into Elements. I know I have not done this correctly and at this point, probably have lost all my tags and categories, etc. So, I'm basically resigning myself to starting over and just loading them all in as new. My question is how many photos will Organizer hold? Now, I realize it is not really holding the photo merely a thumbnail that is pointing to the actual photo location. I thought if that was the case, it could hold an endless amount of "thumbnails". My husband says that is incorrect. Right now I have a little over 100,000 photos!! I tried loading them all once but received conflicting messages that they loaded/did not load. They eventually were not there. I'm trying again but am wondering if this is just too many photos. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

First, let me tell you "thanks" for responding to my question. I really like using Elements (but am not as savvy as I should be after all these years) but have a hard time resolving issues with Adobe. So, I appreciate you getting back to me.
The good news is almost all my photos did load into Organizer the second time I tried! It is missing about 300 because "the format was not supported" or something. I'm not too concerned about these. My husband keeps back ups so I'm sure we have them somewhere. I wouldn't be able to tell which ones they are anyway!
Just for info. I have an HP Envy laptop running Windows 8.1.
I was having an issue with getting the "sharing" mail feature going but finally received the verification code after adding the Adobe email address to my contacts (good advice from another discussion).
So, I guess one of the other big questions I have is about the "tags" on my photos. When the photos were being imported this time, it did ask me what tags I wanted to import. I selected "all" and it looked like it worked but when I open the "tags/info" view, none of my tags are there. Do you think they are still on the photos and if so, how do I "show" them?

How do i get fullscreen photoes during incoming calls

After updating my iphone 5 to iOS 7.1 a callers photo became small and i would like to have a fullscreen photo back. is possible?

iPhoto 08 contains a bug affecting the display of images that the user has marked as "hidden." Specifically, when the user toggles the View-Hidden Photos menu option, the Library-Events thumbnail view does not refresh quickly or reliably to show or hide Events containing "hidden photos."
Sometimes all "hidden" photos remain visible when they should be hidden.
Sometimes all "hidden" photos remain INvisible when they should be visible.
This affects the Event thumbnail "key photo" if this photo was designated as hidden.
This also affects any hidden Event photos when the user "skims" over an Event thumbnail to preview its contents.
The issue is isolated to Events thumbnails. The problem does not exist:
a) while browsing thumbnails inside a specific Event.
b) while browsing photos in Library-Photos.
c) while browsing photos in an Album.
_*"Fixes" that do NOT work:*_
Software updates... I have the latest version of OSX 10.5.2 and the latest version of iPhoto 08, including all the recent security and graphics system updates as of 02/16/2008.
Maintenance... The issue is NOT resolved by rebuilding the database, rebuilding icons, or deleting the iPhoto preferences file. The issue can be reproduced in a separate user account after creating a new event in an otherwise empty iPhoto database.
After much tinkering around, the following is the closest I've come to a
_*TEMPORARY WORKAROUND:*_
To *NOT DISPLAY* hidden images, go to the View menu and make sure Hidden Photos *is not* checked. Restart iPhoto, and the hidden images should now be invisible.
To DISPLAY hidden images, go to the View menu and make sure Hidden Photos is checked. While the hidden images are now visible elsewhere, they may still be invisible in Events thumbnails, so restart iPhoto, and then wait about 10 seconds for the Events view to refresh with all the hidden thumbnail images now visible.
If after carefully reading this you feel you have a definitive solution, please post a reply with your suggestions. Otherwise, please post to confirm if you can reproduce the problem on your computer running iPhoto 08 on Leopard. If so, please also file an official bug report with Apple. The more people report this, the faster we'll get it fix.

My Acrobat Pro 9 has also this bug. I am using XP SP2. I have reported this bug at Adobe web site many times. I wrote to the Adobe customer care. I wrote about this on many different forums and I was hopping an update with this bug fixed. I installed all updates till now bu the problem still exists. I do not know why Adobe is not caring about this stupid bug. It is really, really annoying. In my experience with Adobe Acrobat for about 10 years, Acrobat version 9 is the worst version I ever worked with. There are a lot of glitches and bugs in it, expecially with fonts, web version creation, password protection encryption etc etc.
If you find any fix please post back on this forum.

IPhoto takes long time to import Photos and Videos

From a software standpoint why iPhoto sometimes takes so long to import Pictures and Videos?
Example Scenario:
on the iPhone 5 - iOS 7 there are:
2851 Photos in Camera Roll
1000 Photos in Photo Stream
51 Videos (each videos average of 3 minutes long)
on the MAC - OS X 10.9
iPhoto start to import photo, and more or less, after importing almost 500 photos, just get stop at one particular photo and thats it.
What are the reason?

IOS5 Photos app bug

So I was browsing the web and decided to download a pic (Save to camera roll), when I opened the Photos app to check the pic, the app went crazy, buttons in the app changed places and some even disappeared, new pics save as a white pic and older photos became incredibly foggy/pixelled. I have tried rebooting and hasnt worked, something just went wrong and this huge bug was created. Ideas?
The device is an iPod Touch 4G, although that doesnt seem to matter since the problem clearly is on the software side. iOS 5 sounded cool but really, is the most buggy update ever :/
