Photos blurry through email

Whenever I try to email pictures from Iphoto 08, they show up blurry. They are perfectly clear in Iphoto before I attach them to an email. When given the option to choose the size of the picture to be sent, I have tried each one and it doesn't help with this problem. I am not able to send emails of any of my pictures to family because they show up blurry on their end.

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Do they look blurry in Mail before you send them off? Have you tried sending some to yourself to see what they look like after you get them?

  • Photos sent through email too big?

I have an iphone 3gs. Now my problem is that sometimes when i attach a photo to an email the photos turn out too big. Like when i view the message on a laptop it occupies more than 100% of the screen. the pictures are huge. Has anyone got a solution to this? i posted this question in yahoo answers and was told that there is an option to send a smaller version of the pics but i can't find it. help?

i did a bit of research and have figured out how to make the picture smaller. go to photos app then copy the thumbnail version of the picture and paste it in the email message and that's it.

  • File sharing through email

How do you share a large gallery of edited photos (200+) through email?

Do the Actiontec Routers support File and Printer Sharing? Is there anything that needs to be done, to enable it? Yes, the Actiontec Routers support File and Printer Sharing. No, it does not require enabling. There are no settings on the Actiontec Routers and Gateways with regard to Sharing, it is the router's default behavior. All of the settings for Sharing are on the computers (or printers, or NAS, etc...) themselves. The Actiontec MI424WR and RI408 routers have only one additional feature that can effect File and Printer Sharing (computers that can 'see each other' or a networked printer on the network). As stated earlier, the default behavior of these Actiontec routers allows this activity with no restrictions. Wireless devices have access to each other and to Wired devices, whether Ethernet or USB. The reverse is also true, Wired devices (like a PC) have full access to other Wired devices (like a printer or NAS), as well as Wireless devices (whether PC or printer). Provided that the PCs in question have a functioning Internet connection through the Actiontec Router. Then... If a device can not 'see' the network or access resources on the network, the cause will be on the devices themselves. If it is a printer, then it may be a network TCP/IP setting or missing protocol. If it is a server or workstation that cannot be accessed, then it will be TCP/IP settings, Firewall settings or mis-configured Sharing on the PC. The only setting that can restrict Sharing is Advanced Filtering, in the Firewall Settings section. To repeat it again, the default setting does not restrict ANY internal traffic. However, these routers allow for the creation of VLANs, and Advanced Filtering allows the User to keep the VLANs separate if they wish or to isolate or certain IP addresses. Advanced Filtering allows a great deal of control. If the User has blocked something unintentionally, the rule can be deleted, or the router can be Reset to return it to default values again.

  • How can I attach a photo to an email, using Photoshop Elements9,without going through the Revel cloud

How can I attach a photo to an email using Photoshop Elements 9, without going through the Adobe Revel cloud?

    Adobe user wrote:
I'm using Windows 7.  I have no email clients.
You don't need an Email client nor Adobe Revel account to send email and photos as attachment.  All you need is an email account (could be free web-based account such as Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, AOL or whatever including from your own ISP.  And of course an Internet Connection.
Now the most obvious requirement is out of the way so you need to go in to your Organizer and click on Share button and choose Photomail. Select the photo you want to send and follow the instructions that are on your screen.
You also need to request an Adobe Verification Code to enable you to use Adobe's Mail Servers to send the photos for you.  To do this go to:
    Edit >> Preferences>> Sharing
Look for something like this and fill out the red boxes where indicated (click on this image to see it clearly).
    Hope this gets you started.

I have always sent through a message my photos to my email. It will not send them today. What has happened?

I apologize for the delay devo50, let's get your messages up and running again. What zip code are located in? Turn off wi-fi and try sending it again. Are you able to send text messages without a problem? Also, try again after powering off and removing/reinserting SIM card.

Are you using Yosemite and not apple's Mail app? Then you may need to set up an app-specific password: See the post below:
Re: I am using iPhoto version 9.6 and I can no longer get an email sent with a photo attached. I get an error message saying the email did not go through because the server did not reply. I can send the photo with Mail. Help!in response to Gary Kissler
This solution is for those of you using 2-step verification for your Apple ID and are using iCloud as the mail server that you are trying to mail photos with.
I too had this issue. The problem in my case occurred because I had setup 2-step authentication for my Apple ID. If you have done this then you will get the error message "the mail server did not recognize your email/password...". To solve the problem go to:
    https://appleid.apple.com
    Click "Manage Your Apple ID"
Verify your identity with the device you selected (if this step does not show up then you have not likely set up 2-step authentication and this is not your solution)
Click Password and Security in the left column
    Click Generate an app-specific password
Enter iPhoto as the name of the app
Copy the password and paste this into the password box in iPhoto where you would normally enter your apple ID (in the mail account section in iPhoto preferences).
    And...voila' (I hope)

With PSE 9, you can't use revel from within PSE.

  • I select photo from iPhoto,go to share:email, photo uploaded to email, type in address, click send, pop up window appears with: email did not go thru because server did not reply - now what, how do I fix?

I select my photos from iPhoto, go to toolbar, click share and email, photo is uploaded onto email screen and I add photo info and type  in my
email address, click send at the bottom of page and it after a minute or two, a pop up appears with the message:  your email did not go through
because your server did not reply.    Have sent the same photo to my email address with no problem just to  doublecheck.  Why will it not
send out to other email addresses?  Thank you.

Go into iPhoto's Accounts preference pane and delete the email account that's there.  Now add it back and try again.
A more reliable method is to set Mail as the email Client for iPhoto in iPhoto's General preference pane.  The Mail client is more reliable, gives you better access to your Contacts, gives you a sent copy and has photo themes similar to iPhoto's in its stationary section.

I am having difficulty including text with iPhotos I want to share through email.  I get a red exclamation mark along with a statement stating that the text doesn't fit into the designated text area.  This is so frustrating. Before iLire11 I was easily able to share photos with email messages.  Arghhhh!

In the iPhoto preferences you can set Apple Mail as your e-mail client and then it will work exactly as before

  • Attaching a photo to an email

    Help please.
I did review the online questions before asking for help
Iphoto is not allowing me to attach photos to email.  The email is in plain text and one photo did attach.  The others put the photo itself in.  I also chose icon only.  There is no consistency in what works.
    My process:
    Type email
    Select Attach
    iPhoto comes up
    Choose Photos
    Choose file
Photo goes to email, not as attachment
I am using a MacBook Pro late 2008, iPhoto 11
    Any assistance will be appreciated.
Thank you for your usual great assistance.

    Ryan
There are three ways (at least) to get files from the iPhoto Window.
    1. Drag and Drop: Drag a photo from the iPhoto Window to the desktop, there iPhoto will make a full-sized copy of the pic.
    2. File -> Export: Select the files in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export. The dialogue will give you various options, including altering the format, naming the files and changing the size. Again, producing a copy.
    3. Show File: Right- (or Control-) Click on a pic and in the resulting dialogue choose 'Show File'. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected.
To upload to MySpace or any site that does not have an iPhoto Export Plug-in the recommended way is to Select the Pic in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export and export the pic to the desktop, then upload from there. After the upload you can trash the pic on the desktop. It's only a copy and your original is safe in iPhoto.
This is also true for emailing with Web-based services. If you're using Gmail you can use THIS
If you use Apple's Mail, Entourage, AOL or Eudora you can email from within iPhoto.
The change was made to the format of the iPhoto library because many users were inadvertently corrupting their library by browsing through it with other software or making changes in it themselves. If you're willing to risk database corruption, you can restore the older functionality simply by right clicking on the iPhoto Library and choosing 'Show Package Contents'. Then simply make an alias to the folders you require and put that alias on the desktop or where ever you want it. Be aware though, that this is a hack and not supported by Apple.

  • How to send videos through email on iphone 4

How would you send a video saved in your pictures through email on iphone 4?

    Hey taushafromNJ,
The following goes over how to share a picture or video, including via email:
Share or copy a photo or video. View a photo or video, then tap . If you don’t see , tap the screen to show the controls.
The size limit of attachments is determined by your service provider. iPhone may compress photo and video attachments, if necessary. You can also copy a photo or video, and then paste it into an email or text message (MMS or iMessage).

  • When we attach photos to an email in the Apple Mail app, the photos appear tiny on gmail accounts.

When we attach photos to an email in the Apple Mail app, the photos appear tiny on gmail accounts. They are unable to download the file as the size sent. We have tested this in multiple gmail accounts and we have tried sending as different sizes and actual size with no difference. Other photos attached in other ways come through fine. This seems to be a a result of the recent iphotos to photos app update.
Please advise on if this is a bug with how mail is ending the photos or how gmail is receiving them.

Try using Mail as the email client for iPhoto and see if that will fix the problem:

  • Why won't my computer let me accept a PS request through email?

Each time I get a photo stream request through email, I go to click "Join this Photo Stream," and a screen pops up that simply TELLS me how to accept a photo stream, which, much to my frustration, is exactly what I did to get me to the window that popped up. Has this happened to anyone else? Is there another way to accept PS requests? None show up in my notification center

Uncheck Photo Stream  in the System/iCloud preference pane,
reboot and then reenable it.  See if that will allow you to join the Shared Photo Stream.
