Photos delete after a while in Mail

After a time in "Mail", the photos from a message disappear and leave a code such as "GL4128-BA0 (1).JPG". The same goes for pdf files in messages in the Inbox. How can I re-view these items? Hank

So I did the iCloud backup from my old phone. I already had photos on my new phone and now they are deleted. Where would I find the videos and phots that were already on my new phone? The backup deleted all my new phone photos, and backed up all the old ones? Am I screwed? Please help!! Thank you

When you restore a backup, the restored data overwrites any existing data on the phone.
If you didn't back up your new phone before this happened, there is no way to recover the deleted photos and videos. It you did, restore the backup of your new phone to recover them, then import them to your computer as explained here before restoring the old backup again: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083.

All Photos Deleted After Upgrading to Mavericks

Since I have upgraded, I cant find any of my photos and iPhoto cannot find any libraries...

Ok, the exact same thing happened to me - all my apps got deleted! I wasn't impressed. But I figured it out in the end! Go to the App Store app, click on update, then hit the purchased icon. All the apps you've ever had onyour phone (purchased or not) will be displayed. Click on each and every app individually, and every app will be installed back on your phone! Previous usernames and passwords will be remembered - it's like they never got deleted in the first place! Hope this helps!

Production Reporting out put not getting deleted after 30mins what we set.

Please chek the field / value which u have changed is relavant to printouts of the change.
You can check with following path
SPRO> MM > Purchasing > Message > Fields Relevant to Printouts of Changes.
Confirm tick is provided for PO ( P)

If you are using Apple's Mail app 6.5 is the latest version irrespective of what a previous poster says. It does sound though that you are using a gmail account online via a web browser. Please confirm and fill in missing information.

I have emptied the iPhoto Trash but the photos in network folder are still not deleted.
In iPhoto Preferences, Advance, Importing, I have UNCHECKED "Copy Items to iPhoto Library."

iPhoto is a relational database management program and manages only items that it controls - items within its library - it does not and will not do anything with any photo that is not in the library except to delete photos from cameras after import - and this is not recommended
You are running a referenced library and it is not recommended - it makes deleting photos more difficult as you are seeing, it makes importing photos more difficult and it makes replacing or upgrading hardware much more difficult

Sender Mail adapter : Delete after reaD

I am working on a sender mail adpater. Now, my requirement is that once the XI reads the attachement of an unread mail, the status of the mail should be set to read.
In the sender mail adpater, there is a check box available :
Delete the mail once it has been read.
Do you suggest this will help or if you have any appraoch, please let me know.

I dont know about how to make the mail status unread after reading attachment but just for your information please be careful while using mail adapter on sender side as it affects performance and also it may delete all your inbox mails and that check box Delete the mail once it has been read. wont solve your problem.

Mail won't get new mail after a while

Running Mail app on my Powerbook on OS 10.5.8. I use this as my work computer. More and more frequently I find that Mail is not retrieving my messages after being open for a while. The main account is a gmail IMAP account. I am also running Mail Act-On and MailTags, which are key utilities in my workflow.
I try clicking on Get New Mail, or "Synchronize IMAP Account," and taking all accounts offline and then taking them online, but these do not help.
Quitting and relaunching Mail sometimes helps, but not always! Is there anything else I should try? This is making me crazy!

I think you should open the Mail folder -- Home/Library/Mail -- and locate the file named MessageUidsAlreadyDownloaded3 and delete it, after having Quit Mail. Open each POP account folder in the Mail folder, and make sure there are no other files of similar name within these folders.
Deleting this file, and relaunching Mail will result in its downloading whatever messages remain on the server, and may give you some duplicates, but this import file will be renewed and fresh.

That refers to photo stream photos, which don't count against your iCloud storage. They also aren't contained in the iCloud backup; only camera roll photos are, which are not deleted after 30 days. They stay on your device until you delete them.

Photo stream photos will be deleted once you reach 1,000 unless you import them into iPhoto. You can set your iPhoto preferences to import them automatically.

Answering my own question here. It's fixed! Another user recommended I switch to another wireless network then back to mine. And it worked! Mail is sending again with no problem.

If you have been regularly syncing/backing up your iPhone with iTunes or iCloud, you may try restoring it from the last backup.

E-Mail and Podcasts deleted after sync

Recently all of my older e-mails and podcasts (unlistened to) were automatically deleted after syncing my iPhone to iTunes. All podcasts were set to keep all episodes, so there should be no reason for this. Anyone have any ideas?

Go to the Messages application. Hit the menu key and select Options. Select General Options. Scroll down to where it says "Keep Messages" and set as desired.

Can you do setup an unread mail folder that shows all unread mail regardless of what folder it really is in on the iPhone mail program somehow?
