Photos do not print in Contacts (a.k.a. Address Book) when I am printing a group.

One of simple things that I have loved from the beginning with my iPhone and my iMac is that when I meet a new person, I can record their contact information in the Address Book on my iPhone and attached their photo to it.  When I arrive home I am then able to sync my Contacts from my iPhone with my iMac. Then with my iMac, I am able to print an entire group from my Contacts (including all the individual information from the v-card - photos and all.)  Creating a photo roster if you will.  I love sharing these photo rosters (by making a PDF copy) with others.
After updating to Snow Lion is appears that function is gone!  I highlight all the members in the group from my Contact, then File>Print.  It list in the dialog box that I can check photos but when I do it does not show any of the photos from the Contacts in the print preview window. It is so odd because I can see their photos in my Address Book / Contacts on my iMac but I can not print them with the other information with the Contact
Please help me!  I really miss this features.  I have gone into preferences and I can not see what maybe causing the problem.  I have never had this issue with the previous three version of OSX.  I have stopped syncing my contacts with iCloud but I am still unable to print groups of members with their photos.  In fact I am unable to print from my iMac any one individual contact with their photo.
Please help me.  Thank you for reading my request.

Is there no one who knows how to solve this problem?  It really would be a great help!

We use CS6, yes we calibrate using x-rite. I have always had adobe manage colors when printing. This problem just occurred, all my settings are the same as they have been for years. The only thing we did lately is do an update to CS6. We thought it might be our printer but when we use the printer manages color it works fine, The problem with adobe manages color is it is not blending the light highlights like on top of the cheeks with the colors around the cheeks  and its putting a faint red between the two it just does not have a smooth transition. I printed a photo that I had printed 4 months ago with no issue, and this time it had the issue that I am dealing with now. Somehow the photo shop manages color is not getting the right info to my printer.
    I set paper type
    set quality
    no color adjustment

Is it because the new itunes looks different.

Then it should work just the same as on your old computer.

I have an iphone 4S with broken wif i :-( and I need to sync my contacts before I set up my new iphone 6. I thought contacts synced automatically with itunes but seems not.  I've found my Apple address book but contacts are outdated. What to do? Help!

If your Bluetooth is working, you may be able to tether your phone to another device, and backup that way.  Either via iCloud or one of many Apps that send yourself a VCF file containing your contacts.
You may have to update to a later IOS via USB and iTunes, not sure if IOS 6 has Bluetooth Tethering.
I would have thought you could also switch off cloud sync'ing for your contacts, this should ask a question if you want to keep the contacts on your phone.  An iTunes Backup and then Restore to your new iPhone should restore the local contacts.  Then sync these back to the iCloud.
    Hope this helps.

I have just set up icloud and all my contacts are duplicated from Address Book! My new iPhone is also showing duplicate contacts even though they are not duplicated in my address book on my computer. Please can you help?

Also, what are the source of your contacts? are they created on the phone, or you synced from yahoo/hotmail etc.
If thats the case, the circular arrow wont be visible but instead show "groups"
Contacts from different accounts are not synced to iCloud.

  • Best Practice for Shared Contacts available as an Address Book in Outlook??

Yep so crazy that Microsoft still refuses (by design) to enable address book option for Shared contacts!!!!!!!  So I am asking what do they suggest then for my clients to have a shared contact list that is available as an address book and available
    to sync to your phone?
    Problem:
I have a client that the boss has a contact list in his outlook that he has synced to his phone that is shared so that everyone else on his team can see the contacts, since it is a shared contact list users are not able to add it to their address book (by
    design..nice design)
    Solutions I know of:
1.Use public folder for contact list...= Nope public folder contact list will not sync with his iphone/ipad...(yes there are 3rd party tools but I would prefer to not go this route)
2.Sharepoint....I have heard this one but don't know much about it.   How does it sync to outlook and phones?  Is it seemless?  can user add contacts in outlook?
    3. ??
Seems like this would be a huge issue that microsoft would have fixed by now.  Let me know if anyone has any ideas...

  • How do i import contacts from iPhone to address book?

how do i import contacts from iphone to address book?

Ok, I knew it was a long shot.  The merge prompt normally is only available when you first sync your device.  I'm not sure how things got out of sync in the first place, but you may have to manually delete the contacts from your phone that you don't want there at this point.  I would try adding a new contact on your phone followed by sync to confirm that it's picking up new contacts though.
Unfortunately I need to go now, so if you're still having problems I suggest your start a new post in the forum to see if someone else can help.  Good luck!

  • Unable to sync contacts from iPhone to Address Book...works the other way

I am unable to have changes on my iPhone reflect in my Mac's address book. For example, I would delete a contact on the iphone, but it stays there in the Mac's address book after sync. The worst part is that now on subsequent syncs, the contact is never added back to the phone or deleted from the computer. I am able to create as many contacts as I want on the phone and sync them to the address book, but just not delete modify them.
Creating/deleting contacts in the address book works.
    So far, I have tried:
    1. Resetting the sync history.
    2. Replacing all my iPhone contacts with those in address book.
    3. Unselecting and reselecting sync contacts from iTunes.
    4. Archiving my address book, deleting everything in it, syncing, and then repopulating it.
    5. Restoring my iPhone.
None of this has worked, and I am close to pulling my hair out. I just fixed issues with the new Safari bookmarks sync, and now this. Can anyone please help me fix this issue? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the idea of looking at the Console. I've created new contacts on my MacBook and my iPhone, but neither is syncing to the other, in fact a new contact group I created in Address Book doesn't even show up in the list of groups in the Contacts sync window in iTunes. Here's what the Console says every time I sync:

  • J2ME - How to read and write contacts to native phone address book?

I am working on application, which has to get data from the database and write contact to native phone address book (address book API)
Can any one please let me know how to accomplice the above task? If any one worked on this kind of application please provide necessary information
Also let me know what all the java phone that supports above feature
Similarly is it possible to achieve the same task using J2ME in BREW phones (not through BREW language) that support Java?
    Thanks in advance
    Regards,

JSR 75 might be the answer to your question. It seems that this is pretty new technology which would probably limit the number of cell phones your application can run upon.

  • Inject Contact Info into mobile Address Book

I would like my mobile website to inject some contact information into the visitor’s phone address book when they click a button asking it to.
Also, is there an ’add me to your bookmarks’ facility?

What kind of backup? If it's a TM backup then open Address Book and select Address Book Help from the Help menu. Search for "restore from time machine." You'll find an article on how to restore entries from a TM backup.
If this is simply a cloned backup then navigate to the /Home/Library/Application Support/ folder on the backup drive and copy the AddressBook folder to the same location on your hard drive.
Then navigate to /Home/Library/Preferences/ and copy the com.apple.addressbook.plist and com.apple.addressbook.abd.plist files from the backup to the same location on your hard drive.
Address Book must not be running.

  • Why doesn't BlackBerry Desktop Software synchronize my BlackBerry contacts with my iMac Address Book

Hi there, please help! I am trying to sync my BlackBerry contacts with my iMac Address Book. I used BlackBerry Desktop Software and did a two-way sync, but my Address Book is still empty. The images on my BlackBerry copied to iPhoto, so the sync 'worked' here but not for the contacts. Thanks!

Hello AdalaMichelle and welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
What OSX version does your Mac have? What's your BlackBerry Desktop Software version?
When you set up your Mac, did you enable iCloud for your Mac Address Book?
Is your Mac or your BlackBerry Address Book blank?
Did you enable wireless contact sync on your BlacKBerry when you added an email account?
    Thanks!

  • Sync Yahoo contacts via iTunes or Address Book?

I currently sync my iPhone contacts with my Mac Address Book, via iTunes. I want to start syncing with my Yahoo contacts also.
There are (at least) two ways to do this:
I can configure iTunes to sync with both Address Book and Yahoo contacts when I sync the iPhone.
I can configure Address Book to automatically sync with Yahoo contacts, in which case I would just continue syncing the iPhone with Address Book as I do now.
What are the differences between these two approaches? For example, will the Yahoo contacts be kept out of my Address Book with the first option but not the second?

I decided to try syncing via Address Book, and it worked great.
FYI, what I was trying to accomplish is having a single contact store in Address Book, Yahoo, on the iPhone, and on my new Samsung Galaxy Tab. The Tab doesn't support syncing contacts with Yahoo, only Google, so I actually had to sync everything through Google.
    Here's what I did:
    1. Synced the Address Book with Yahoo contacts to merge those.
    2. Manually cleaned up the merged contacts in Address Book, then synced again.
    3. Synced the Address Book with Google contacts (in addition to Yahoo contacts). Since I don't use gmail, I didn't have any existing Google contacts.
    4. Verified that the contacts were now in Google.
    5. Synced contacts for the Google account on my Galaxy Tab.
I now have all my contacts everywhere I need them. I think using the Address Book rather than iTunes to sync with Yahoo and Google was the better choice, since I can do it from the Mac without sycning my iPhone.
