Photos folder in my photo app on my iPhone /iPad

Greetings.
I cannot find this info anywhere
In my photo app, (not iphoto) in the folder of Photos, I have some really old pictures in there.
I have removed them long ago from my iPhone under albums and iCloud
But they show up under Photos and I do not see the pictures on my iCloud from my iMac.
It seems to be taking up room on my iPhone.
How do I delete these photos? Besides selecting them and deleting them myself.
On the right side of the iphone it says, share, so does this have any thing to do with sharing somewhere?

Normally, all I do with photos is move them from my iPhone to my computer's (Windows 7) hard drive. I do this by connecting the iPhone with the cable, a box pops up on the screen asking me what I want to do, and I choose "Import pictures and videos". I've previously selected the "delete photos from the device after move" option (or however it's worded...), simply because I don't want this device to fill up with photos.
Lately, it has been importing the photos fine, but it won't delete them from the iPhone. This used to work just fine, now it doesn't work and I don't know what changed, if anything. In iTunes, I get the error message I list at the beginning of this message.
How do I fix this?

HT6378 I "upgraded" to iCloud Photo Library (Beta), my 2000+ pictures between my iphone/ipad has now become 85 photos. Where are the other 1900 pictures--not in the deleted folder?

I upgraded to iCloud Photo LIbrary (Beta) today but my 2000+ pictures have now become 85 pictures on the iCloud/iPhone & iPad. The pictures are not in the deleted folder. These "pictures" were NOT normal with prior IOS upgrades. I could not delete them. Where have all of these pictures gone?

Ok, so here's a solution to this issue:
Backed up my iPhone on iTunes
Did a factory reset on iPhone
Restored the thing from previous backup
Re-entered all my passwords and such
Now it's syncing again.
The whole procedure took me about two hours.
No idea why this happened. Beta, I guess.

ITunes photo-sync results in corrupted album-pictures on iPhone/ iPad

Hey guys,
after restoring all my iDevices to iOS 7 last fall I've encountered the following problem: when syncing photo-albums from iPhoto to my iPhone/ iPad using iTunes, certain pictures of an album (or even all of them) end up showing as grey squares with a "JPG" sign in the middle:
I was hoping the problem would be gone after installing iOS 7.1, which is why I waited this long before starting a discussion here, but unfortunately it didn't. So here I am, asking you guys for help. Any ideas?

FYI: I'm running OSX Mavericks 10.9.2 with all apps up to date. All iDevices in question were restored using iTunes 11.1.5 and configured as "new" (no iCloud/ iTunes backup was loaded afterwards)

Are you able to view the photos in that album in iPhoto at full size?

TS1702 Apps purchaed on Iphone/Ipad don't download onto computer

Apps downloaded on my iPad or iPhone don't syn with computer when device is connected. They used to.

I had that a few weeks ago and had to download apps on PC, it lasted a few days and then stopped happening. Try touching the waiting app to pause it, press the off button, turn it on again, press the app again and see if it starts loading, but be patient as sometimes it doens't start loading for a while. I found this worked occasionally.
As it was also happening on my iPod touch I think it was something to do with my account rather than the hardware.

The AirPort Express does allow you to store up to 5 different "profiles", so you could setup a "travel" profile on the device. You would just need to remember to switch to the "travel" profile before you leave on the trip.
If you are already on the road and need to change the setup on your AirPort Express, you may be able to download AirPort Utility on one of the computers in the hotel lobby. It's a stretch, but I've done it without any problems. Might be a good idea to let the hotel clerk know what you are doing and and assure them that you will delete the download when you are done.
You'll need to connect the Express to the computer using an ethernet cable to configure it.

You'll need an adapter cable, and which one you need depends on what version MBP you have and the inputs on the monitor.
I just recently purchased a Dell U2410 to use as a second display with my iMac. Overall I'm pretty happy with but my use is a little different, I wanted something with very good color accuracy for photo work. Based on what you said your needs are, you probably don't have to spend as much.
One thing I will say, is this particular monitor (and I believe all Dells) has an antiglare screen on it, which to be honest, took me a little getting used to. Because of the matte surface, text and documents aren't quite as sharp and can even look a little hazy at times. For your uses you may be better off with a glossy screen as long as glare isn't going to be too much an issue for you.
BenQ makes some pretty nice and affordable monitors these days LED backlit or otherwise, and on that note, theres absolutely nothing at all wrong with non "LED" monitors, both technologies are still using an LCD panel for the display, they just deal with the backlighting differently.
As the other poster mentioned, NEC is always a good option as well. Less common on the consumer side, but they make very good professional products.

If you made an entirely new acount then sign out of your old one on iTunes and any other things and sign back in on your new on, you won't be able to access any of the purchases that you made on your old acount on any other device.
If you just your ID and password, again signing out of your old one and signing back in with the new ID and password could help to fix problems your having.
Also, if that doesn't work (or even if it does) rebooting your iPad / iPod or whatever your doing this on might help too, it just fixed a really annoying problem I had so maybe it could help you. Anyway, good luck.

How do I add a 'photo folder' to my itunes account so that I can transfer photos from my computer to my ipad?

I'm trying to get photos transfered from my computer to my Ipad. My Itunes does not have a 'Photo' folder to place my photos. I can find everything but a 'Photo' folder (Movies, Podcasts, IUniv, Books etc). Any thoughts?

you can do it by creating sub-folders within the folder that is selected to be synced.
e.g. Folder "Photo" has been selected to be synced to your iPad.
Create two sub-folders e.g. "Family" and "Vacation" within "Photo" folder and put photos in both sub-folders instead of "Photo" folder.
Now sync your photos and in photo's tab, after you have selected "Photo" folder to be synced, make sure you select all Folders as example below:
Once completed you will find both folders "Family" and "Vacations" are in your iPad's album including Camera Roll. e.g. below:

You need to read the iPhone User Guide to learn how to use your phone properly. I've included the link at the bottom of this reply.
Photos taken by your iPhone reside in your camera roll. From there, you need to import them onto your computer for safekeeping. You can arrange them into albums and THEN synch them back to your photo albums.

To copy photos that were originally synced from a computer you will need a third-party app on your iPad such as Simple Transfer which can copy them off via your wifi network. But as photos are 'optimised' when they are synced to the iPad, any that you then copy back to a computer may not be exactly the same as they were on your original computer.
In terms of then deleting them from your iPad, if you connect the iPad to your computer's iTunes and select an empty photo folder on the Photos tab in iTunes and then sync it, that should remove those photos from your iPad.

Photos is syncing all photos to my Macbook, how do I delete them ?

I just bought a new macbook that only has 128gb storage so I don't want all the photos from iCloud downloaded to the macbook.
I just noticed that 800+ photos have been downloaded to the macbook (only 500MB so not a huge deal so far) but once I upgrade my iMac to the 10.3 and sync those photos (to photos) then I'll really run into a problem.
I did select optimize mac storage but like others have commented, I can't adjust how much storage and I don't want to use a large amount of space for photos on my macbook.
The weird thing is, when In go into my photos folder into the photos library (on the macbook) and try to delete the photo from my macbook it gave me a warning that "THESE PHOTOS WILL BE DELETED FROM ALL OF YOUR DEVICES" so it seems like I can't delete photos from my macbook without losing them completely?
Hopefully I'm wrong about my assumption but if that is the case I need to turn off photo syncing with iCloud completely in Photos because I don't want these photos on the macbook (Unless I manually download one to the laptop).
Is this case? or am I doing something wrong?

Ijust told you how to delete them off your ipod.
Open itunes, connect ipod, go to photos tab, select whatever you want, sync.

CLamXav found the Worm.Redirect-1 virus in an app on my iPhone during a backup. What now?

During a recent encrypted backup of my iPhone 4S to my Mac Mini, ClamXav found the Worm.Redirect-1 virus in my Ask Dave, Mac Reference app, which I did happen to open last week. It quarantined the app to the folder I have set up and I have since deleted the app from my iPhone, iPad, iTunes and I have also hidden it from my list of purchased apps in the app store. I have backed up my iPhone once since then, and nothing else has shown up. Interestingly, I did a hard reset on my iPhone last night and I noticed a reference to the app in the sys.log, but I didn't catch which process made the call to it. The only visible reference to the virus since then is from the daily ClamXav scans which finds the app in my Trash folder, where I have since moved it.
So, I'm not sure what may have happened to my iPhone, iPad, Mac Mini, or anything else I have attached to my home network, as a result of this virus. Any thoughts on what I should do now?

I concur with everybody else that it's unlikely this could harm your iPhone. I can guess that the original purpose was to redirect a browser to a command and control web site that would attempte to download one or more of the Trojan's listed. In 2009, practiacally all Trojan's were being written for use on a Windows computer, but of course it's possible the code could have been re-used and adapted for a different use today.
