Photos from e-mails can be set as wallpapers?

Can photos from e-mails be set as wallpapers? and can they be saved onto the phone? How?

No, photos (or any other email attachment) cannot be saved onto the iPhone. You will need to retrieve the email from a desktop/latop computer, save the attached photo to your computer hard drive, and sync it with iTunes to be able to use it as a wallpaper.

  • Why can I no longer "save photos" from e-mail/Facebook??

Since up-grading from iOS 5. To iOS 6.01, I can no longer "save photos" from e-mail/Facebook!  Any one know what I need to do??

Go to Settings>Privacy>Facebook and see if saving photos has been allowed.
Go to Settings>Privacy>Photos and see if FaceBook is turned on - if necessary.
And go to Settings>General>Restrictions>Privacy>Photos and check there as well.

  • How do I import photos from E mail to Pages

How do I import photos from E mails to Pages?

Send yourself an e-mail with image embedded or attached.
    Open e-mail in Safari.
If embedded, click the small, LEFT pointing arrow in upper right of tool bar.
    Click "Save image,"
It will go into your "Photos" icon on your Home screen.
If attached, download the attachment. It should go into your "Photos" icon....I think. I haven't tried this with an attached photo.
Click on "Photo" icon to check if it/they are there.
Select the photo you want to import to pages by clicking on it..
When you do so, you will see on the toolbar that pops-up above, a small box with a right-pointing arrow. Click on it. Select "Copy Photo."
Go back to your "Home" page.
    Click on the "Pages" icon..
    As a test, open a blank/new document.
Click anyplace on it until you see a menu open-up that says "Select - Select all - Paste."
    Click on "Paste."
Click on "Undo" in the upper left of the toolbar to get rid of it.
You can repeat this on any document that accepts images by putting in the cursor wherever you want the photo inserted, tap until the "Select - Select As - Paste" box reapperas and  and click "Paste."
    Good luck.

Yes you can make multiple backups on one hard drive, for example if you’ve 1TB hard drive installed in your PC and you’ve two Mac Machines with 500GB drive each then you just make two backup images with size of 500GB each.

  • Deleting photos from iphoto trash can

I can not delete photos from iphoto trash can, I get a notice that they are locked.
these photos were deleted along time ago from the hard drive.
I was surprised to see them, where are they ? so I can delete them,I can't do it from the trash can.

Try the following:download and run BatChmod on the iPhoto Library folder with the settings shown here, putting your administrator login name in the owner section and Staff in the group section. You can either type in the path to the folder or just drag the folder into that field. Then try emptying the trash bin again.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger or later), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 6 and 7 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. Just put the application in the Dock and click on it whenever you want to backup the dB file. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.
Note: There's now an Automator backup application for iPhoto 5 that will work with Tiger or Leopard.
    ize. If it does

  • Downloading photos from e-mails

When I try to download photos from e-mails, the e-mails in question seem to disappear when I hit the photo icon, although the photo(s) appear to be downloading. Does anyone know if this means that I am losing the respective mails altogether &/or do the photos automatically get downloaded to another location on my iPad 3 or have I lost those too?

No, photos (or any other email attachment) cannot be saved onto the iPhone. You will need to retrieve the email from a desktop/latop computer, save the attached photo to your computer hard drive, and sync it with iTunes to be able to use it as a wallpaper.

Well first, I must say "Yikes!!!"   I didn't know anyone still used Word Perfect.   That's an old school word processor right there... haha.
Okay, in all seriousnous, when saving your files in Word Perfect, use the Save As feature, and select a different format.   Word Perfect's format is likely not going to be opened by any of the popular word processing software.   I would try saving the document as RTF (rich text format), which is a universal standard across word processors.   This way, you can open the document on your Mac, or any other machine.
Now, I'm also assuming that you have a word processor installed on your Mac.   Right?   Maybe Word?  Maybe Pages?   If you don't have a word processor, you'll need to get one.   If you don't want to spend the $10 on Pages, consider downloading Open Office (http://www.openoffice.org/download/).   This will give you a free word processor that you can use on your Mac.

  • Saved photos from e-mail to desktop. Now can't get them off.

I saved photos from an e-mail to my desktop as well as I-photos. Now I can't get them off the desktop. How can i do that?

    Hello Sungal15,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
To remove items from your computer, all you need to do is simply click and drag them to the Trash on your dock.
Delete an item from your Mac
Drag the item to the Trash. Or select the item, then press Command (⌘)–Delete.
Click the Trash, then click Empty. You can also choose Finder > Empty Trash.
When you see a warning message, click OK.

    Take care,

  • Won't save photos from e-mail or texts?

I have an iPhone 4 that I purchased in March.  Last month while trying to save a photo from a text, I went into the camera roll and in its place was a gray box with "JPG" in the middle where the photo should have been.  Also, when I first clicked on the Photos app there was a very quick "Sorry, we're experiencing technical difficulties" screen that was so fast that I can't really remember if that's what it said exactly.
I called Apple tech support twice and they had me Reset All Settings, set up the phone as new on iTunes, restore it, then sync with the last backup I had had.  This worked just fine until last night it happened again.  I redid all of those steps but it will not work.
If I take a picture or save it from safari/google images it works just fine and shows up.  However, it still will not let me save an image from a MMS text or from an e-mail.
Anybody else experience this or know what to do to be able to do this again?
(I was able to successfully do it that whole month in between when I called Apple in April until last night.  I saved one from a text just last week)

  • How do i import photos from e-mail to iphoto

How do I inport 25 photos from my e-mail  to iphoto?

I am trying to save a photo I received as an attachement, using mac mail and I have done the right click and chosen export to iphoto but nothing happens.  I've looked all through my iphoto pics, by import date, etc. and it isn't there.  I also looked in photo stream, the photo isn't there. I've tried more than once. I am using OS 10.8.2 and iphoto 11.
I've also tried to save the photo and the process opens asking me where to save it, but iphoto is not one of the places I can choose.
I saw the suggestion to save it to my desktop and then try and move the photo into iphoto.  But since I'm using mac mail and iphoto, it seems that it should be more straight forward to handle this process than having to use the desktop.  Am I missing a step so it will go to iphoto when I right click on export to iphoto?
    Any suggestions?

  • Moved photos from PC/ZoomBrowser, can I put them on secondary Mac drive?

New to Mac world, many photos from PC / Canon ZoomBrowser application that I have moved over to the Mac. I don't want to put them on the primary Mac drive due to backup issues and the fact I have a secondary drive for music and photo files.
How can I designate the secondary drive as the library location for Iphoto? I have been unable to find a "preferences" like setting in Iphoto.
    This is iphoto '08.
    thanks,
    Bill

Okay, this is a wee bit complex, but bear with me.
Iphoto has two modes: Managed - where the app is responsible for the files - and Referenced - where you are.
I strongly recommend that you let iPhoto manage the files. This is the default setting.
So, import the pics to iPhoto and it will copy the files to the Library. Then move the Library to the desired disk as detailed above. The files you have already there will be surplus so you can delete them.
Or Simply go to iPhoto Menu -> Preferences -> Advanced and uncheck 'Copy Files to the iPhoto Library on Import'.
Now iPhoto will not copy the files, but rather simply reference them on your HD. To do this it will create an alias in the Originals Folder that points to your file. It will still create a thumbnail and, if you modify the pics, a Modified version within the iPhoto Library Folder.
However, you need to be aware of a number of potential pitfalls using this system.
    1. Import and deleting pics are more complex procedures
    2. You cannot move or rename the files on your system or iPhoto will lose track of them on systems prior to 10.5 and iPhoto 08. Even with the later versions issues can still arise if you move the referenced files to new volumes or between volumes.
    3. Most importantly, migrating to a new disk or computer can be much more complex.
Always allowing for personal preference, I've yet to see a good reason to run iPhoto in referenced mode unless you're using two photo organisers.
    Regards
    TD
