Photos from lock screen iOS7

How can I lock these?

No, I have not yet seen any way to solve this, but have confirmed with some friends that their phones work "properly", so there must be something setting related (or other?) - I have seen it working with 3GS & 4, but my 4 doesn't work, and the error is easily (always) repeatable on my phone.
HDR and Grid settings make no difference for me, and if I try editing a photo in the Photos app (eg "Enhance" it), it is still not visible via the Camera app. I have online backups (iCloud) turned on, but not the photostream.
I have also tried silly things like disabling the passcode lock, turning bluetooth off, etc - still no difference.
I have quickly browsed the EXIF & IPTC data - but nothing jumped out - still need to download to PC and run a proper file viewer over it ...
This is both frustrating and stupid - there must be some logical reason for this behaviour!
[Re your Update - yes, I am aware that the pictures are visible via the photos app (see second para of original message)]

  • PUZZLED: Iphone 4s ran out of space after taking one photo from lock screen and deleted whole photo album. Can I recover?

My phone is running 6.0.1. I took one photo from the lock screen by sliding up the camera button.  It was a little blurry so I tried again and the iphone 4ssaid it couldn't because the phone was out of space.
After shutting the phone off and turning it back, put in the passcode and checked my photos and they were all gone.  my usage says I only have 150kb left on the 16gb phone it says zero photos and zero videos. I only have 10 applications and 606 songs.  It seems the photos are still on the device as the space is being used but i cant access them.  Any idea or suggestions will help. Thanks

I i backup from current state would it not backup without the photos. Maybe I should just restore from the last backup posible and this should have all photos until then. But before i restore from backup I wish i could just access the photos. I don't understand in the first place how they all deleted, and secondly why iphone still recognizes the space being used.  This is such a glitch, which is very frustrating.  i wish someone at apple can give me more insight....

  • Take photo from lock screen

I thought I read someplace that you can access the camera on the iPhone lock screen.   Anyone know how to turn this on?

There's nothing to turn on.  You can quickly open Camera when the screen is locked by double-clicking the Home button, then tapping the camera symbol at the right end of the slide to unlock bar.

Just downloaded iOS 5 update to my iPhone4. One new feature is ability to access photo app directly from lock screen by tapping "camera" icon. Camera icon does not show up on my lock screen. Help?

Press the home button once to wake the phone into lock mode.  Then press it twice while in lock screen and you will see camera button to right of slide.

  • Photos for lock screen problem

When you choose a photo for lock screen or home screen (ios7.2) it will not allow you to move and scale it! It just zooms to the middle bit so the whole photo cannot be displayed! Very annoying apple!

Search the forum as this subject has been beaten to death.
    You can try this:

Using IOS 5, but no camera from lock-screen or Week view in Calendar, as promised. What can I do?

Thanks. I don't know if it seems obvious to everyone, but it shouldn't be needed to double click to seet it. If anyone finds out why there isn't a week view in the Calendar native app, or a way to make it avaiable I would be thankfull. If not, I will continue using third party app for that purpose.

  • End a call & mute/un-mute from lock screen?

Is there a way to end a call & mute/un-mute from lock screen?
I frequently call into meetings from my iPhone and then lock the screen, I don't like having to unlock my phone just to go off mute or end the call..

iPhones should not lock at all during any length call unless you're using a headset - wired or Bluetooth. In that case,  you should use the mute and end call controls on the headset.
The only exception to this are phones that were configured by corporate security settings that force the phone to lock after a specified interval regardless if there is a call in progress.  In that case, you only option it to get your IT dept. to reconfigure this setting.

  • Delete multiple photos from ipad in ios7

How do you delete multiple photos from ipad in ios7?  I need to clear out old photos to free up some space and don't want them deleted from other devices.  Also, what is the best source to learn how photos are shared, streamed, etc.  I assume that streaming photos do show up as taking up space on the ipad, but I want to understant how it all works between devlces.

    Hey dddog,
To delete multiple photos at once:
Tap Select, select the photos or videos you want to delete, then tap.
You can even delete full albums:
Manage albums. While viewing your album list, tap Edit.Delete an album:  Tap .
via: Organize your photos and videos

  • Opening camera or calculator from lock screen

Recently I upgraded my 5S to IOS 8.3 and now faced issue when starting camera or calculator from lock screen.
I'm pressing "home" button to activate screen and then start calculator or camera from bottom menu, but the screen goes black immediately.
When I press "home" button again, I can see that the camera or calculator will be closed and I'm back in lock screen.
Does anyone else have similar issue with 8.3 ?

I currently have the exact same issue with my iPhone 5s.
The previous update was golden and fixed every issue I had with my 5s. I have my 5s set up for Touch ID/password and I was thinking it might have something to do with that, but I haven't gotten around to testing this issue without all of that enabled.
I hate to say it, but I'm glad I'm not the only one who has this issue...
This update also bright back other issues that were fixed in the previous update, for me anyway.
Is there a way for us to officially submit this issue to Apple?

Not a feature of Windows Phone OS, you can only change wallpaper, show artist when playing music or have password request upon lockscreen.

  • Option to disable the "slide to call" feature for missed calls from lock screen

I realized that when the iphone (running iOS5) is locked, the“Slide to Call” allows anyone to make an outgoing call to the missed calls from a locked phone (with passcode). This may allow malicious and unwanted calls to be made from a locked phone by anyone having access to the phone and defeats the purpose of having the phone locked by a passcode.
Don't get me wrong, it is nice feature for people who don't care about locking their phone, but I believe there should be an option to disable the “slide to call” or at least require password before allowing the outgoing call to go through.
At this point the only option that I see is to disable the phone related notifications from lock screen, which prevents all phone related notifications to be displayed on lock screen (missed or voicemail). This is not a desired solution.....
This is the first time in the history of iOSes, that a user can make outgoing calls from a locked phone with a passcode. Even the voice commands (for dialling a number) have option to be disabled on locked screen.
I was wondering if anybody else feels the same way about this? or have a solution?

I share the same feeling with you about this issue.
Actually I was very surprised when I discovered that!
In addition to this, when you actually slide a missed call, it calls the person and when you end the call, the notification of the missed call is still present! So that person can be called again and again and again.
This is a serious issue that Apple has overlooked!
    Please secure the iOS 5.
    Thanks.

  • Emailed photos from iPhone using ios7 being formatted to bmp. How can I change to jpg?

Emailed photos from iPhone using ios7 being formatted to bmp. How can I change to jpg?

I just solved this issue! Here's the solution in case anyone else is experiencing the same problem: I had him link his phone number to his Apple ID by adding his his phone number to his contact in his Contacts List. After that, messages sent to his phone number are blue.
I'm guessing his phone number was disconnected from his Apple ID when he somehow toggled off iMessage.
