Photos gone after cut and paste

Hi,
I had a problem with my iphone 6 when I tried to cut and paste photos from iphone to my windows 8 PC. At first I tried 1 photo, and it worked properly, yet when I cut and paste a bunch of photos (around 50 of them) onto my pc, I realized about half of the photos were missing. Then I used ctrl+z to see if the missing photos would come back. Unfortunately, the missing photos weren't back, and the ones that were originally successfully transferred to my pc were also missing as well (after ctrl+z). So now I have no photos left. Are there any ways of recovery?

I suggfest not using cut and paste - merge events by dragging one ot the other or selecting them and using the merge events command
and be extremely careful about going inside the iPhoto library - the slightest error can damage your library and cause data loss

Encrypted Pictures not readable after cut and past on my laptop

Hi,
I have cut and past my pictures from my BB Bold ans as they are encrypted (.rem) I cannot open the files in windows.
I see after that i have to use desktop manager to move the files and uncrypted them.
But now when i tried to move again the file ot my BB, the files are not recognized by the terminal ..
do you know if a method exist to be able to recover the pictures ?

If I read you correctly, you are describing the performance of BBOS and content protection (encryption) and not a malfunction.
Here is some information that should help you.
- if you copy and paste a file that is encrypted, it remains encrypted, as you found
- if the file is encrypted (.rem extension) and you use the desktop software to copy or sync, the copied file on the computer is not encrypted, as you found
- when you enable encryption, the files that are already on the SD card remain unencrypted, and only files that are written or modified after encryption is enabled will be encrypted (again, this is BBOS)
- I'm not sure about files in device storage memory, so you will need to test unless you look it up or someone answers, but I'm assuming when you enable content protection all of the files in this location will be encrypted
- for files that are encrypted (have .rem extension) if you disable content protection and then act on the file, the encryption will be undone (and .rem extension removed) -- acting on the file can be moving it, renaming it, etc -- and files that are encrypted and not acted upon while content protection is disabled will remain encrypted

Recover videos from iphone after cut and paste from windows explorer?

From windows explorer Iphone Internal Storage, I used cut to transfer 2 big videos from iphone to windows, but the videos are corrupted now in windows, and no videos in iphone! There is any way to recover them? thanks...

When you came across this case, you should be careful to recover Video on iPhone.
1. Fish your iPhone out of the water as quickly as possible.
2. Dry it off with a towel or something similar. If it is still on, turn it off immediately. Note: running power through wet electronics can damage them beyond repair.
3. Remove the battery, SIM card etc off the phone. If possible, remove the rear glass panel too. Apple uses two special 5-point Pentalobe screws to secure the back.
4. Grab a bowl and fill it with uncooked rice or you can also put your iPhone 5 in with a bunch of silica packets.
5. Bury the iPhone in a bowl of rice and cover it up.
6. Last step is: wait day or two.

N8 Photo Editing - how to use the cut and paste?

Hello,
I am trying to edit some photos - there is a an option to use an ellipse or magic wand. I thought that was to cut and paste from the photos.
All I can do is select and area - but how do I cut it.
I tried save, but it saves the whole image...
Or am I just doing this wrong...

I was hoping to use the ellipse or magic want to cut and paste items in a certain shape to paste on other photos.
I could do this on my N95-4.
So there is no way to photo edit with cut and paste?
Any idea what the ellipse and magic wand function do, and how do they work?

Blending cut and paste image help

Anyone as a link to a tuts to help me blend my photos that I cut and paste so that they dont look so much cut and pasted? I usually clean/cut my model and play with it to my need but when its time to put it in place it look like it been cut and gluwed to a paper. Thx in advance.

Invalid registration using cut and paste.

I just reinstalled Window xp, QuickTime and other applications.
After cutting and pasting my name and registration number in the appropriate section of QT Player, I only get an "invalid registration" indication in the Quick Time Preferences window.
What do I do to remedy this?

In that case, Terminal is ignoring the Mac lineendings. I have the same problem with text pasted from editors like Tex-Edit, however Tex-Edit includes plenty of menu tools for text conversion. The characters are still there but are invisible, so running a script on the window converts the lineendings from any to any format. This is an old story with Macs vs UNIX vs DOS. Every system has its own linendings

To answer some basic questions posted to aid people in helping me. These are
I believe it is version 11 of iphoto as i tried to update but it says it has the latest update and Mac is 2 weeks old from new.
OS is Lion.
I have just tried to look everywhere on the Mac to see where the photos might be.

A lot of I should haves. I had too many photos and while at work I opened up the 4 folders inside of the DCIM folder on my phone. I didn't think it would be a big deal to just cut the photos and paste on my computer as I have done this before. i moved one folder that had 803 pictures in it and all was fine. I ran out of time and unplugged phone and went home. When I got to work this morning I was looking at my phone and realized I only had 34 pictures. I knew there should have been 400+ there and they are gone. Don't know what happened and if they were deleted off phone or computer I cannot see them anywhere. Thanks for prompt reply, yes we have tried that but have now closed down the browser we where the photos were.
We haven't sent up time machine, do you know whether there is any roll-back function on a Mac?

Multiple problems: can't open two windows, browser doesn't close although window disappears, and after working for a while I loose my ability to cut and paste or use drop down arrows

Maybe two weeks ago I discovered that I could no longer open two windows at a time (I can still open multiple tabs). I am also having problems with cutting and pasting, which is crucial to my on-line job. Plus, when I exit Firefox, it doesn't always shut down, so then when you go to re-open, of course, it won't (unless you go into process and turn it off). I have re-installed multiple times and I have also used restore. Nothing seems to be fixing this and I really, really don't want to use IE, especially for work.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

Why can't I cut and paste photos between project?

I recently made the transition from iPhoto to Aperture. One of the weird things is that I can't cut and paste photos between projects. In iPhoto this is an easy way to organize your projects if some photos are in the wrong place.
You also can't split projects, in iPhoto you can do this easily. Say, if two day's photos ending being in the same project, in iPhoto there's a button that you split them in the middle. Is there something like this in Aperture?

Copy and Paste:
In iPhoto "copy and paste" was possible, because it was not possible in the early versions, to see both projects at the same time, the one you are moving from, and the one you are moving to.
In Aperture you simply drag from the source project to the destination project to move image versions around. Also, it is easy to see more than one project in the Browser at the same time, see: Aperture 3 User Manual: Working with Two or More Browsers Open
To drag to another project, select the images in the project, then drag to the other project in the source list, for example:
To split a project, select the images you want to have in the split part, then create a new project from these images: Enable the check mark "Move selected items to new project". This will split the original project.

SQL query works in the SQLPlus, but fires parse error after being cut and pasted into

One of our client has a SQL query like this:

From the error message that you posted it seems that you are putting a semicolon ";" at the end of your query. I checked the query that you have posted. It is working fine for me. (I am using 3.0.8) but I feel it will work in your version also. I tried the query without a ";" at the end --It worked.
I tried with ";" at the end -- It gave the error that you have posted. So remove the ";" at the end and it should work. If you are still getting the same error then pls write down the version you are using. I will check in that version.

I just cut and pasted photos from my Iphone into my HP.
NOw when I go and try to open the files from the computer it's giving me an error:
INVALID IMAGE
The file format is not supported or is invalid
WHat's confusing is that all files copy into my computer are already JPG. I have not changed anything, simply cut photos from my phone and copy them in my computer.
I need help !!! I have a lot of my baby photos and videos that I really want to recover.

Try using a photo import utility or application for this instead of doing it the archaic manual way. Even Windoze includes a scanner and camera wizard that can be used for this.

If you are looking for pre-installed montage templates maybe you were thinking of Photoshop Elements.

CUT AND PASTE PHOTOS

Is there any way to cut and paste photos within a folder (like on a PC) without downloading a program? I'm talking about changing the order of the photos.Drag and drop is a pain and takes too long if you have an extreme amount of pics. Also, copy and paste is just an extra step. Tx!

When you trying to arrange 500 downloaded photos in the order that you want them it is not the same time drag then it is to cut and paste.
Maybe you should look at why you are trying to manually arrange 500 photos in a specific order, which sounds like exactly the type of tedious task computers are designed to avoid....
Various options:
if you want the best photos to show up first, you can rate them. It's easier to hit apple-3 to add three stars than to hit apple-x and apple-v to cut and paste. Then you can tell iPhoto to sort by rating, top to bottom. And the rating can be used for other purposes as well.
Or, iPhoto will automatically sort them by time and date--if the time and date are wrong, then better to use iPhoto tools to fix that once and for all, than to manually rearrange.
So--what are these 500 photos and exactly why are you trying to re-arrange them? What order do you want to browse them in? Cut-and-paste is just a tool to get to your ultimate goal--maybe if you describe that ultimate goal, someone here can provide a better path than manually re-ordering.
