Photos in albums get mixed in camera roll on iPhone 6P
Hello
I've been using IFTTT to save my instagram pictures in an album but the thing is those pics get in the camera roll too, how can I separate them and keep each in its place.
I've been using iPhone 6 plus and the latest IOS 8.1.1.
The photos are actually only in one place which is the Camera Roll. The album does not actually contain photos. Rather it contains pointers to the actual photo filesw in the camera rol

Can not get images from camera roll in Iphone into Itunes
When I sync my iPhone with iTunes then sync it as normal, but it is not just the pictures located on Kamara roll in over the iPhone with iTunes. It tends to make it otherwise, what can I do?
Camera roll photos are not synced at all.
You need to import them as you would import pics from any digital camera:

Hi I am wondering if anyone can help me. I have two albums in my photos app other than the camera roll that i cant seem to get rid of. They contain duplicates of the photos i already have in my camera roll. One is called Photo Library, and the other is called iphone. It's using alot of space and I don't know how to delete them. Please HELP!!
those are photos that have been synced to your phone from your computer. plug in your phone to your computer, open itunes, select 'photos' tab from the top, and uncheck 'sync photos'
this will erase the photos from your phone that are not in the camera roll -
I am not able to access my photos through the photo application... when I click on the photo app, I can see the camera roll, but a transparent "album" screen is over it and I cannot click on the photos to see it... can any one please help ???
Known bug. Quit the Camera App, double-tap the home key and delete Camera from the recent apps bar. Fire it up again, should be good.

I have had my iPhone for about a year, and I have a photo file from my old blackberry. When I go to back up my photos, it only backs up the camera roll. How do I back up the other album? The laptop where I had those photos broke, please can someone help.
You're going to have to email those photos to yourself.

How do I upload a photo/graphic to facebook from an album other than my camera roll? It will only open camera roll!!! HELP!!
Kudos! I too am frustrated about this change to my personal page. I also know Apple is not to blame. I also manage a page for the company I work for using pages app. And that app is UN affected and I can choose from any photo stored on my phone (4). I do keep them seperate so I can keep a professional aspect for the company. But if you want your personal page linked to your public or work page, this maybe the work around your looking for.

TS3989 Cannot get pictures from camera roll to photo stream on my iPhone
I have tried everything. I have picture taken about 2 weeks ago on my iPhone that I can't get from the camera roll to the photo stream I want them on my iPad through the upload to iCloud. I have tried closing the camera, am on wifi and have settings set correctly and have my iPhone charging. And then I just added a picture took all the steps and this picture DID get to photo stream. Hoe do I get the other groupmof photos there?
Only pix taken after photo stream is turned on are added to photo stream (as well as camera roll). Older pix are not.
To get the older ones to a computer, sync using USB. You can also take a screen shot in the device when viewing an older picture (press home and power buttons together, quickly). This will add the photo to the stream, but the disadvantage is that the resolution will be that of the screen, which is much less than the original picture. -
in my photo album, it only shows camera rolls,i would like ti create new photo album. It does not show photo library below the camera rolls.

It's just simple as creating an event/album in the iPhoto, with the photos you would like to have in your iPhone.
Then, on iTunes you chose to synchronise with the iPhone that specific photo event/albun, instead of all the library.
And that's it!

We can't get to the camera roll right now
I have a dell Latitude 10 table with Windows 8.1 RT. Last week I decided to unload all the pictures from the camera roll to my PC and I did it without a problem, but in the process I removed the camera roll folder under the public pictures library. Since
then, the camera app is not working and it gives me the following message: "We can't get to the camera roll right now". I've re-created the folder, set the default save location and public save locations to the Public Pictures folder but the error
keeps popping up every time I open the camera application. If I try to shoot a photo or a video it tells me that it couldn't be saved. How do I set the camera app to use the new folder?I had the same Problem, and all experts could not help. I even dowloaded tools that say thy would fix the problem. Anyway as a matter of fact it still is a computer, no magic.
I found a way: Open regedit, search for "User Shell Folders".
Then check all the directories.
In my case one of the directories refered to the one I deleted. I just changed it and restarted my computer.
On my iconia it saves into this key:
I changed it | Keep the Name of the folder "Camera Roll" depending on your language it will rename the folder in the Explorer library automaticly. (in Germany to Eigene Aufnahmen)

Because your computer sees your phone, as it would see any digital camera, as long as you have photos in your camera role. Since you state you don't sync with this computer & have a passcode on your phone, that's why you get that message. The only way to prevent that message is either start syncing with this computer; remove the photos from your camera roll prior to connecting; or first turn off your passcode before you connect. Either that, or you live with it.
You shouldn't be storing photos in your camera roll anyway. iPhone camera roll is not designed for photo storage. You should be regularly importing them. -
I'm using Aperture(3.5.1) on my iMac(10.9.4). I've connected the IOS device(5S) to the computer, opened Aperture and tried to import from the camera roll on my iPhone. Photos that I see in the camera roll don't show up in the Aperture import window, though I can see them in the camera roll on the phone. In fact, since aug. 23, 2014, none of my iPhone photos show up in the import window.
I've shut down my iPhone and my iMac and restarted both, but no change.
I'm aware Aperture is going away soon. I'd like to get these photos off my phone and into Aperture so when the big merge comes, I won't be missing anything.Could the photos already have been imported to Aperture using Photo Stream? The Import window will not show them, if the option "Do not import Duplicates" is active and the photos are already in the library.
Check any Import option in the Import settings, that might be excluding photos from importing. -

I want to remove the message that pops up every time i connect my IPhone that says: "Photos in the Camera Roll of "Name" cannot be imported because the device is locked with a passcode.".
This computer is not one that I want to import photos to (or sync with the iPhone), so this message is just very annoying, and it pops up all the time. I cannot find a way to disable this message. It is constantly appearing. No application is launching, I have turned off the iPhoto launch in the Image Capture app as well as in iPhoto. Why aren't photos in iPhoto photo library showing up in iPhoto camera roll?

I downloaded all the photos on my Camera Roll on my iPhone into my AirBook computer because when I went to take a photo today with my iPhone it told me I had no space left. But, now there are 300 photos in Photo Library that never showed up in Camera Roll and I can't download into my AirBook. Those photos are just sitting in Photo Library in my phone. How do I download them into my AirBook AND why did they not show up in the Camera Roll on my iPhone?

CaitlinThe photos are likely already on your MacBook Air in the iPhoto app there, which I assume you probably have.
iPhoto on your Mac houses the photo library.
Photos do not transfer to the Camera Roll on your iPhone (with very few exceptions). They get transferred from the Camera Roll to your photo library. You can then clean them off the Camera Roll.
When you sync the iPhone using iTunes, you can instruct iTunes how to sync your photos. If, for example, you do not want all the photos in the photo library on your iPhone, that is how to keep them on your computer but not your iPhone. -
How do you delete the images in the Iphone images album. Not the camera roll. There is an album called Iphone images and there is not a delete option
The same way you put them on the phone. Connect the phone to iTunes on your computer, click on the name of the iPhone, then the Photo tab. Uncheck the albums you don't want on the phone and click Sync.

Need to backup and remove photo library from my iphone. This library was previously backup on a hard drive that crashed. So these photos are only in the photo library and not in the camera roll. If I do a full backup, it only takes the camera roll.
So this is a 2 part question:
1) how to I backup the Photo Library to my new hard drive (as the last one was unrecoverable but previously backed up)
2) how do I remove the Photo Library form my phone (preferably after backup in item 1)
Thanks, JanisSince it has always been very basic to backup your computer and all it's data, Apple provides no way for you to transfer music from your iPhone back to your computer. As you know, you can re-download all iTunes purchases, but music that you ripped yourself you'll have to just re-rip again.
You can try and find 3rd party applications that might help you. I'm sure you'll pay, however.
Let this be a very important lesson learned.

When I set iTunes to automatically sync, it does. When I set it to "Manually manage disc", it does not auto-sync. But the problem is when I click the "Sync" button in the lower right, nothing happens. If I deselect "Manually manage disc", it syncs up
