Photos in Catalog missing after update

Question

After the latest update my catalog seem to be missing.  My photo's are in Collections, but as soon as I want to work with them ; I get message Photo missing.  (See attached.
If I try and find missing folder and check box - DON'T IMPORT SUSPECTED DUPLICATES - the tick goes away as if the photos are already imported.  (See attached print screens.

Hi, the situation with your images is that the catalog has lost contact with those images.
Lightroom does not store those images in the application or the catalog (database) but rather stores references for their location on disk when those images are imported.
If you have moved those images or deleted from the disk outside of Lightroom then Lightroom has no idea where they are. In the case of Windows machines an additional problem can occur with external hard drives where the drive letter can change if the drive is disconnected and then subsequently reconnected.
Do not try to re-import those images.
For emphasis - do not try and re-import those images.
Instead look at the folders subpanel and if all the folders have question marks associated with them R-click on the folder highest in the hierarchy of folders. A dialog opens inviting you to navigate to where this folder is located in reality.
Once you have done this then all the images should have their references updated in the catalog and all will be well.
If the problem is only related to occasional images R-click on exclamation mark that is present on the image (top right) and follow the process as outlined above.
If the problem  is related to moving images outside of Lightroom then learn to move images from within the Library module.
If the problem is because of external hard drive letter allocation by Windows then reallocate a drive letter that is close to the end of the alphabet to avoid this problem.
