Today, using filemanager, i have created a new upload folder and pointed icloud to the new upload folder. I have had 3 sucessful uploads. Less than a minute to arrive on my iphone and ipod. I read in a google that the initial creation of these files doesn't always have the correct credentials to work correctly. after creating with admin credentials the process is working at the moment. tomorrow maybe be different. Thanks for your input.

Can't we support the existing "last 1k photos will be available in the cloud" model? I agree and am baffled by this also. At first I was really excite about this new feature. Mostly because I would be able to seamlessly sync videos along with my PhotoStream. I just assumed there would be some systematic way to handle large libraries. Like removing older files as the current PhotoStream does. However, it appears that this new feature will simply 'shut down' when you reach your storage limit. This just makes no sense to me. I would have to double check, but I have all my photos and videos in iPhoto and stored on a 3 TB external hard drive and I think the full library is over 1 TB. So, even if I was willing to pay $20 a month for photo syncing (which I am not) I couldn't do it because my library is too large. Again I am just baffled why Apple cannot blend this new service with the existing PhotoSteam model. My favorite aspect of PhotoSteam is that is uploads all my iPad and iPhone Photos to my Mac for permanent storage and it seems this is lost in the new version.

When I try to upload pictures onto iPhoto, it shows up, however it won't upload. The "import" button, I can't click on it. It won't upload. And when I want to close out the window of iPhoto, it won't close, I get a message saying "photos being uploaded to iPhoto library," but i can't even upload. This has been like this since late April...
What version of iPhoto?
As a Test:
Hold down the option (or alt) key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'
Import a few pics into this new, blank library. Is the Problem repeated there? -
I haven't had a problem until I updated my iPad. Now my camera roll photos and videos won't show up in iMovie. I updated the App and shut down my iPad. I would love some help. Thanks.
Go to SETTINGS--> PRIVACY and then PHOTOS; make sure iMovie is set to "on".

Photos not uploading to iCloud Photo Library
My issue is with iCloud Photo Library on my iPhone 6 (iOS 8.3). Works fine for a few days, then gets stuck and won't upload anything to iCloud, which in turn won't show up in the Photos app on my Mac (OS X 10.3.3). Currently it's been stuck on "4 Photos to Upload" for a over a day now. This happened last week as well and I had to shut off iCloud Photo Library and turn back on. It eventually worked, but that was a long painful process because I have 80GB of photos.
It's not a wifi issue either, and I've rebooted the phone as well. I've been on 2 separate very fast internet connections and only used half the space on my 200 GB iCloud plan. I've edited a few photos with Snapseed and Camera+ using extensions – could it be a corrupt photo using a 3rd party app causing the problem?
When iCloud Photo Library works, it's great, but this is the 2nd time in 2 weeks to hang during upload. I wish there was a way to refresh it or force it to upload without turning the whole thing off and on. Anyone else having this issue?Same here - no upload button for me, too. OS X Lion, Safari 6.1.6. Trying not to take it as personal.

Photos stopped uploading to iCloud Photo Library beta. Any suggestions?
Yesterday I set up iCloud Photo library beta to upload my photos to iCloud. Aft 40 photos uploaded it seems that the upload is stuck and won't upload any more photos. I went to the iCloud photos beta site and the 40 or so photos that uploaded are there.

I had this exactly. My iPhone and iPad got stuck just moments after I enabled Icloud Photo Library.
I then plugged my ipad overnight to a charger and in the morning, it was all synced
So I plugged my iphone and it immediately started syncing the rest.

My Iphone 4 just updated to the iOS6. I've connected it to my computer for the first time since then, and wanted to back up my photos in iPhoto. However, although Iphoto recognized my phone, it shows no photos to upload or backup. It lists my phone in the "devices" category on the left bar, but no longer shows any of my photos.
Does anyone have any suggestions?I've reread your question several times and am not sure I understand it.
Are you trying to basically start over, as if you just took your iPhone out of the box? If so, do:
Settings > General > Reset > Erase all content and settings -
I updated my LG G3 this week and now it SUCKS! When I'm connected to WIFI, nothing on Facebook works. The photos and videos won't populate. I have to turn off the WIFI and only use the mobile data. Not to mention, I really hate the way it looks now. Before I updated my phone, I really liked it, now I don't like my phone at all! When will this be fixed? I hope it's soon. I'm thinking of changing providers now.
Does the iOS device connect to other networks? If yes that tend to indicate a problem with your network.

Any error messages?
Do other devices now connect?
Did the iOS device connect before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on your router
.- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem and it does not connect to any networks make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

How can I move photos from pictures to my external hard drive? I have copied all photos, however it won't allow me to paste the photos. The paste button is grayed out.
Do you want to copy some pictures to the external drive, or do you want to move your whole iPhoto library? The latter will free up hard drive space on your start up disk; the procedure is explained here:

Note this is not the same as a Time Machine backup.
If on the other hand you want to copy some photos from one drive to another, you can just drag and drop them from one location to another. This is a true copy, the originals will remain intact. -
Can anyone help me? I just want to know if I just put my iPhone 4 which has been fixed can I start it as a new phone and still have my contacts and photos as it won't let me log in with my iCloud address
Try assigning Queen as the Album Artist on the compilations in iTunes on your computer.

Photos App Uploads Photos But Doesn't Update
Running the latest version of iOS, though I've had this problem for 3 or 4 months now. I'm using iCloud Photo Library (I'm aware it's still a "beta" feature, but this seems like a fairly prevalent issue and it's a relatively new issue). The Photos app will upload new photos I take with the camera, but it continuously says it's uploading, for instance... if it says that it has 75 photos to upload, I take an HDR picture (because I keep the originals), and it says 77 photos to upload. It will upload them, I know this because my computer downloads them. However, my phone will still say it has 77 photos to upload. My iPhone also, will not download new photos, my guess is because it still thinks it needs to upload 77 photos, and probably just iterates over all the stored photos looking for ones that aren't in iCloud, anyways... it doesn't download new ones (or old ones it doesn't have yet) and it's annoying not knowing how many are left to upload.
I had a theory, that turning iCloud Photo Library off and on again, allowing it to remove all locally stored "optimized" photos in between, would fix the problem. But I didn't want to try that without knowing that it wouldn't delete any photos that might not be uploaded already.
So, summing up...
Will turning off icloud photo library delete any photos that aren't uploaded? Should I perhaps plug it into my computer to import any that aren't already there the old fashioned way?
Any other potential solutions for fixing the problem? I imagine I can't be the only person using the iCloud Photo Library beta who takes several pictures a day (on average).chuckfletcher,

If tapping the UPDATE button takes you to the Reader's Help screen, Reader must have been automatically updated already.
To check the version number
Go to the iOS home screen.
Tap Settings.
Scroll down to find Adobe Reader in the left pane.
Select Adobe Reader.
Check the version number.

TS3989 Photo stream upload issues
I have had battery issues with my iphone 4s and as a result took it to genious bar. My iphone was wiped and resotred as a new device.
my phone was restored from icloud where i had approx 200 photos in photo stream. however only 9 photos from my photo stream uploaded back onto my iphone.
can anyone assist on how to retrieve these photograph.

The staff member at the genius bar checked my phone and he said the photograph that where on my photo stream prior to doing the restore would automatically upload on to my iPhone when I restore my settings from iCloud. However only 9 photos done this and there other 100 odd photos didn't.

primarily using the ipad air as an art portfolio but photos i upload in order get rearranged. other than changing the date they were shot, is there any solution to this? can they be reorganized in iphoto on the ipad?

Sorting and organizing photos on IOS devices is one of the things that really need to be improved. It looks like the developers simply did not expect the users to want to keep large photo libraries on an IOS device, where the ordering would matter. I'd send feedback to the developer team, so that they see, what the users want and need:

Iphoto photos not uploading to internet with prompt box
I downloaded 'Lightroom' to my macbook pro, and now when I go to upload photos to the internet the prompt box wont come up so I can choose which photos. Any ideas!?

You may have to write a custom report using FM "HR_IMAGE_EXISTS".
-> For each employee check if image exist using FM "HR_IMAGE_EXISTS"
-> If the FM does not return any output then that employee does not have any photo uploaded.
