Photos iOS 8

HI people I'm running iOS 8 on iphone 5 ever since the update im missing several thousand pictures any idea how I can retrieve these ? I use iTunes to auto back up my phone so would they still be on pc ??
MY network provider took me through a restore of iphone yesterday to fix some apps out, would this effect it , so wish Apple would have kept camera roll instead off all this hassle !!!

Maybe there is no clear way any more to tell which pictures reside just on my iPhone?

How to delete photos ios 7

My photos on my mini did not survive ios 7 update. When I transferred photos from computer to ipad thru itune sync, some unwanted photos showed up on ipad. To delete these photos I had to first delete photos from computer then re sync ipad again. The next issue is to make my photo albums on phone and ipad the same. Note to many computer and devices in this house!

  • Add photos ios 6 to photostream ios7, add photos ios 6 to photostream ios7, add photos ios 6 to photostream ios7

i can't add photos to photostream from iphone 5 ios6. admin of this photostream is iphone on ios7

If you're using iOS 6, you can view photos contributed by subscribers to a shared photo stream by following the steps below. Video sharing and the ability to contribute to other people's shared photo streams requires iOS 7.

  • Edited photos ios 8 and Photo Raw

I put images on on iPad (ios 8) from my SD card from my camera (jpeg) with my SD card lead.

    Sorry start again
I hope someone can answer this question out of interest.  .
I put photos on my iPad from my SD card from my camera using the SD card lead.
    All the images are jpeg.
I edit a photo on my iPad using the iPads own photo app - ie "crop" or "auto enhance".
I then connect my iPad to my PC and drag the photo off my ipad on to my PC.
When I open the photo in Photoshop, WHY DOES THE IMAGE OPEN IN 'CAMERA RAW' ?

  • Autocroping 3:2 images in Photos IOS 7

The imported (synced) images of aspect 3:2 are autocropped in the Photos application, with IOS 7. They are automatically cropped when viewing, to aspect 16:9, leaving the bottom and top of the picture out of sight. The only way to get the full picture is to manually zoom out. Strangely enough, the phone's own images of 4:3 are not cropped. Under iOS 6, the cropping did not occur.

I've noticed it, too. It's very annoying. I am a "semi-professional" photographer (meaning every once in awhile someone pays me to take photos for them.) and I put many of my DSLR photos on my phone. It's a big pain to have to resize them on-screen each time. Wish there was a fix,

  • Lost photos iOS 8.02

I have updated to iOS 8.0 and then 8.02.  Photostream only shows recent  photos.  How do I find all of my photos that I have backed up many  timed in the past to both  my computer and icloud?

I'm having this same problem too.  My iPad and Mac have the complete Photostream.  I just got a new iPhone 6 and it's only downloading the most recent photos to the Recently Added album.

  • Facebook contact photos iOS 8

I added a new contact for the first time last night since upgrading to iOS 8, and then went into Settings > Facebook and did update contacts. When I went back to the contact, I saw that it had added a link to their Facebook profile, but didn't update their contact photo.
Has anyone else seen this in iOS 8 or have any ideas to get this working?

Same exact issue. 33 contacts loaded out of 350. Apple chat rep blamed facbeook and said wait for an update, however the contact integration is built into iOS and not dependent upon having the facebook app installed. A solution would be greatly appreciated.

  • Events appear in random order in Photos iOS app.

Since updating to iOS 8, my photo events are no longer in chronological order. They appear to be completely random (not sorted by title or size or anything).
    iOS 8.0.2
    Mac OS X 9.5
No iCloud or other external syncing.

Thisseems to be a common problem after the upgrade to iOS 8 upgrade., for example: Re: Problems with events in Photo app on upgrading to iOS8
There is nothing that can be done about it. Sorting of albums is not supported in the Photos.app.

  • My iPod touch 4th gen crashes and restarts every time I try to edit a photo (iOS 5.1.1)

My iPod touch 4th gen crashes and restarts every time I try to edit a photo. Why is this happening and is there any way to fix it? It's not jailbroken, so I guess it's not malware

  • IPhoto freezes synching iPhone photos iOS 6

First synch of photos after upgrade of iPhone 4S to IOS6, iPhoto progress bar and twirling color shell kept going, pics never transferred. Had to forcecquitbiPhoto. Retries gave same result.

It took me two calls with Apple Care to figure this out on my own. Check your Camera Roll for any videos that are 0:00 or 0:01 seconds in length. I did the whole iPhoto library Repair a few times, then I started importing my photos/videos a few at a time. The batches worked but then i got to a video that my toddler did that was only 0:00 long and that's when iPhoto froze. I deleted the video from my phone, then relaunched iPhoto and was able to successfully import the remaining items. As a test, i took a bunch of pics and videos after clearing my phone, and attempted to import all. It worked fine!

  • HT6010 Delete all photos iOS 7

This feature is not available now that I'm on iOS 7...
    PLEASE FIX IT!

    What exactly is your issue?
I have noticed no change in deleting pics in ios 7.

  • Photos in iOS show location, not title

After syncing my iPod Touch (iOS 8.3) with my MacBook (Yosemite 10.10.3), all the photos on my iPod Touch now show the location and date taken, but not the title - even though the photos do have titles in Photos 1.0 on my MacBook.   Is there some way to get my iOS Photos to display titles?

I want the title to appear - the same title that has been applied to Photos OS X on my MacBook.
Photos in iOS cannot display titles. That's why it only displays the location and the date.   I linked to the Migrating from iPhoto for iOS to Photos on iOS 8 - Apple Support document, because it lists what Photos iOS cannot display. And titles and captions are one of the items. You cannot add titles or captions in Photos on iOS,  and so they are not displayed.

When i delete photos from photo stream in iphoto .. The pictures are still there on my iphone's photo stream. They are both connected to the same i cloud account.. And i cannot update to ios 5.1 on iphone.. Any help ??

    1) You asked "Does she need to reconnect to that itunes/computer and if so what do we need to do to remove this folder of pics from her ipod?" Yes, you have to connect the iPod to that computer and go to the Photos pane for the iPod in iTunes and uncheck sync photos and the click on synce/apply. In the future do not check sync photos.

    2)
Create a NEW account for using these instructions. Make sure you follow the instructions. Many do not and if you do not you will not get the None option. You must use an email address that you have not used with Apple before.
Creating an iTunes Store, App Store, iBookstore, and Mac App Store account without a credit card
Then on the iPod go to
    - Settings>Messages>Send and receive and sign out your ID and sign into hers. Make sure that only her ID email address is listed.
    - Settings>FaceTime sign out of your ID and sign into hers. Make sure that under You can be reached at only her ID email address is listed
    - Settings>iCloud and sign out and sign in with hers
Contnue to use the commpn ID/account for Settings>iTunes and App stores.

  • Ipad photos dont have delete icon - ios 5.1.1

This is an ipad2, just updated it yesterday to 5.1.1.
There are photos that ended up in the photos page that no longer have a delete icon associated with them.  These photos came from photo stream, and were taken with an iphone.  The photos were deleted from the iphone, but the photos did not get removed from the ipad photos (they are not in the ipad photo stream album).
So how do i get rid of photos on the photo's page, that dont have a delete icon and are no longer in photostream (anywhere)?
